First I would like to say I always have great service from James, Dave and Lauren, the Kava tenders. James and Dave are very informative about the products and are both friendly and initiate conversation. The place has a good Ambience and is always clean around the bar and in the bathroom. The owners are awesome and friendly when they are there and run a good operation with a nice selection of customers and product.

Ontop of the awesome atmosphere the crew at Tenaga makes the world go round. Indoor and outdoor seating.It's makes going straight home after a long day a hard choice.

I am new to Kava/Kratom and my first time coming in was extremely welcoming. Lauren went through everything with me to make sure I ordered what I would like. It is a locals spot, the same people are here every time I’ve been here, which is amazing. It is very comfortable and everyone is like family here.

I recently visited Tenaga Kava, a spot I've passed by countless times. Despite usually making my own kava at home, I decided to give it a try. The staff, especially Dave, was cool and hospitable. The owner was also friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Although not overboard, I appreciated some of their wall decorations, which added to the charm. And, of course, their kava selection, particularly the Vanuatu and Fijian options, impressed me. What stood out was their approach – they didn't press for a specific head or body feel when discussing their kava types, aligning well with the traditional essence of kava. As an ethnobotanist and kava researcher, I was pleasantly surprised. The Lomi Supreme reminded me of fresh Vanuatu kava. While the lighting could be slightly darker as daylight fades, and there were a few too many bula calls, these were minor issues. I'll definitely be stopping by again.

It could've been a dead kavasutra with the lights on. Island root, island vibes, chill room, coastal, Oahu, and hideout are all better in terms of product, selection, and atmosphere. Product was OK but it was dead on a Friday night at like 8 or 9 oclock. The only people there were 4 guys outside that wouldn't surprise me if they slept in their cars. I ordered my kava to drink it there and neither of the employees shelled with me. I'm the only person inside, and you can't shell... and they were consuming product so the fact they didn't shell was crazy. Kava was decent, didn't try their Kratom. Drink selection was basic for kava bar. Atmosphere was boring and lifeless. Service speed was mediocre.
