Never had I experienced drinking olive oil. It was a fun and educational experience to learn the different extra virgin olive oils. They had so many choices that we plan to have lunch the following day to taste more of the many choices.

Today we were at Camp David at a Breast Cancer Resource Center event, and at the end we decided to visit this place to try the Olive Oil 🫒 and we were fascinated by this place, the food was delicious and the service A1. I think we will return every time we are in this area!

During my visit to the Hill country this was one of the stops on the list and boy. Was it a nice pic! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour even though we were running a little late. It was so many goodies to enjoy and nice tips and we learned so much about olives, we enjoy the different olive oil and the different balsamic vinegars. This is really a jewel hidden in Hillcountry.

Texas Hill Country Olive Company is an absolute must-visit. The journey there is as delightful as the destination, with stunning scenery and warm hospitality from the moment you arrive. The tasting tour was an eye-opening experience. I was shocked to learn the truth about most “extra virgin” olive oils in the US. Their infused olive oils are incredible, but it was their vinegars that truly blew me away. A lifelong balsamic hater, I was converted in a single sip. I can’t wait to explore their bistro next time. The tantalizing aromas and beautiful presentation of the food have me eagerly anticipating my return. I cannot wait to go back!

Beautiful place with great Olive Oil and Balsamic. However, The guide was not friendly. It’s a shame because I do think she was knowledgeable. Our trip was booked to celebrate my husbands birthday and at the very start, I went to snap a quick photo and she bluntly stated “no pictures, I don’t allow pictures of me”. Of course we want a picture to photo document this special and unique experience. I did not see a sign that prohibited cameras. First of all - I don’t want a picture of her. I wanted to side profile of the 3 people in our group - it would have taken 2 seconds. Perhaps she is better suited for an office job and not leading a tour if you are intolerant about being in the background of a picture. Perhaps start the next tour with manners. “I really don’t like to be in pictures, if you’d like to take one - just let me know and I’ll gladly step aside. She later joked about being from New York and that she “talks back.” Actually - you have no manners and are rude. Not wanting a picture is absolutely fine - you have that right. Maybe you need another role within the company or… learn how to deliver that request politely. This is the only picture I got ;(

It's a pretty place. The "tour" was sitting in a room at tables and watching a 5 min video about why they are "the only" company that makes real 100% virgin olive oil. Then you drink some of their products and are pushed back into the store to either order more oil or buy from the little store. We were given permission to walk past the first 150 feet of start-up trees. On the way out for the day, the "tour guide" asked for her tip. Uuummmm....no.

I LOVE THEIR OLIVE OIL! My favorite is the garlic infused olive oil. But I also love their balsamic vinegar. I also enjoy buying their smaller bottles and giving them as hostess gifts, to my hair dresser, and many others. We also enjoy bringing our out of town guests here to have lunch, possible glass of wine, and to shop their new merchandise! We have been coming since they have opened! Love! Love! Love!

The “tour” starts with a 30 step walk away from the building explaining what happened to the trees because of horrible weather. Our guide was informative about olives and olive oil. We then went to the tasting which is when we figured out that 4 people must not have paid for the tour as there weren’t enough seatings for us. Our tour guide was a pro and set 4 more spaces and didn’t say a word. The flavors were excellent and i do hope the weather is more cooperative for them in the future so that they have olive trees to show.

While the olive oil is great, the food is completely not worth what they charge. The sandwich I ordered was dry and the lettuce was wilted and mushy. The melted cheese was oily looking. Don't know if they left this sandwich sitting out but it was definitely not fresh. Will only go for the oil and vinegars from now on.

I have been a club member for years but sadly I canceled my membership today. As much as I like their product I will not be deceived. They offer a club membership that give you a better than normal discount on the club box and 20% off other purchases. They also are very quick to point out in their emails that you can customize your oder. What they don't tell you is that when you do this it negates the better club price discount even though it does still give you the 20%, I email the about this since it does not seem fair and got a Texas two step cut and paste email back that did not address the issue. I emailed Justine and asked for better clarification and got the exact same cut and paste email. Again I like the product but refuse to deal with people who are not totally transparent in their dealing.

The staff was great, very knowledgeable, unfortunately the food at the bistro left a lot to be desired. The hummus was served extremely cold which drastically effected the taste and texture, the bruschetta was closer to an olive tapenade and the accompanying bread tasted stale. Lastly, the pizza/flatbread was made using an obviously store bought/frozen dough and was very disappointing.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the private tour at the Texas Hill Country Olive Company, and it was an absolute revelation. From start to finish, this tour was an immersive journey into the world of olive oil production and appreciation that left me utterly impressed. The tour began with a warm welcome from our knowledgeable guide, who expertly led us through the entire process of bottling their exquisite olive oil. It was fascinating to witness the meticulous care and dedication that goes into every bottle, from the grove to the final product. I gained a newfound appreciation for the art and science of olive oil production. But what truly set this tour apart was the exceptional educational component. Our guide delved deep into the history, cultivation, and health benefits of olive oil. I left with a wealth of knowledge, feeling like an olive oil connoisseur. The tastings were a highlight, allowing us to savor a range of their exceptional olive oils, each with its unique flavor profile. Paired with their personal label wines, the experience was simply divine. It was a sensory journey that left my taste buds dancing with delight. The extensive line of items in their store was a delightful surprise. From gourmet olive oils and balsamic vinegars to artisanal products and beautifully crafted olive wood utensils, there was something for every palate and preference. The opportunity to purchase these treasures made it the perfect outing for any food enthusiast. The private tour at the Texas Hill Country Olive Company is an absolute gem. It seamlessly blends education, culinary delight, and retail therapy in a beautiful setting. Whether you're a foodie, a wine lover, or simply curious about olive oil, this experience is a must. I left with a deep appreciation for olive oil, a full shopping bag, and a heart full of gratitude for this unforgettable journey into the world of olive oil.

We were so excited and so looking forward to visiting this establishment on July 1, 2023. We were very disappointed with our visit. They advertised olive oil tasting although the olive oil tasting consisted of olive oil being poured in a plastic cup and told to take a couple sips from the cup. Nothing was explained about the flavors requested to sample. We have been to many olive oil tasting and have never experienced this type of poor experience of an olive oil tasting. The customer service was terrible. The atmosphere felt very retail rather than being a positive experience. The staff did not seem to know the product or prices and were more concerned with stocking product. I'm not sure I would recommend this establishment or even return.

This is actually a composite score.  The cafe experience was a 3, but the tour of the olive oil operation and taste testing was a solid 5. Cafe: Showed up around 1:00 on a Friday. It was an "order at the counter and we'll bring it to you" type setup. We scanned the counter menu and ordered without looking too closely. Got the egg salad sandwich, olives & oil, antipasto salad, vegetable flatbread, and 2 cans of water.  The wait wasn’t overly long.  The sandwich was reportedly excellent, but the antipasto salad and the vegetable flatbread were a bit of a disappointment. Post delivery service was also subpar as we needed assistance but couldn’t get anyones attention. Not sure what the problem was.  The other issue was the pricing for the amount/quality of the food served (as well as $3.50/can for what was described as rainwater). Tour:  There was a free tour of the olive oil production, which is currently on hiatus due to the olive plants being killed over 2 really cold winters (they have other plantings in S. Texas and California). Did get a detailed explanation of the extra virgin olive oil definition, what to buy and what to avoid, health benefits (and typical consumption levels in the US and Italy), care and handling of oil and a tasting at the end of the various oils and some vinegars.  I found this to be one of the better tours I’ve had of late and rated a very solid 5 stars.  Would definitely recommend this to people touring the Dripping Springs area.

The good: we LOVED the oil tasting and the balsamics! Our tasting guide Carol let us sample SO MANY oils and vinegars and we would have loved to have taken home one of everything if it were in the budget. The bourbon balsamic was out of this world. The bad: we paid for the Extra Virgin 101 tour but it wasn’t as much of a tour as it was a look at the back room with a lecture by a guy who toed the line of being a little too political (maybe don’t talk about how “no one wants to work for $7.50 an hour anymore” when that’s literally an unlivable wage?) It was weird and a little long and I would have loved to see more of the property. The ugly: one of the employees insinuated that I was pregnant by looking directly at my stomach and telling my fiancé he’ll want to be around for our kids (we were alone). They were really… intense about the health benefits of the olive oil and how you should be consuming a bottle a week. Overall not our favorite part of our visit to Dripping Springs.

Brought my in-laws for an olive oil and balsamic tasting which was a great experience and we enjoyed our guide (whom this 1 star is for). The downfall was the rude front staff who worked behind the registers. From the moment of arrival and check-in (which was at the time requested, 10 minutes early) we were greeted with an unwelcoming and curt attitude. Later on when trying to ask a question about the products from the same front staff, I was completely ignored and was never offered any assistance. Once I chose what to purchase, the woman ringing my order up barely spoke a word and that was it. As much as I enjoyed the tasting and the products, I will prob never return or recommend it to anyone ESPECIALLY if they are a POC. It was hard not to notice other people actually received decent customer service.

I have been going to the THCOC for years and have loved all their products. Through all the changes I have seen over the years, one thing about this company is the consistency. However, when my family and I came this last Monday I noticed one of the chefs snap at one of the store employees in front of customers for asking a simple question about a menu item. It wasn't something I have seen before, and wanted to bring it to the company's attention anonymously.

This place felt like a dream. Neither my husband or I are olive oil/oil aficionados so we came in clueless. I knew the importance of quality olive oil but that's about it. 😅 Our tour was tiny which was SO fun/fortunate for us because that's not normally the case! It felt like a private tour with just 4 of us! We tried all the amazing oils and balsamics, I could not believe the fruit balsamics tasted amazing with ice cream 😱 are you kidding?! The cherry is SO TART and delish! It was so fun to do this and something wildly outside our wheelhouse. Loved it and highly recommend it. PS: just know that the bad winter storm last year destroyed most of their crop and they had to replant new so the orchard is currently in a rebuilding phase and not nearly what it was a couple years ago!

I’m averaging my review between the tour/products (5 stars!!) and the bistro (1 star 🥲). Just left after Labor Day lunch with my husband and was very disappointed. We own a ranch off Fitzhugh and have been to the Olive Oil Co before. We take pictures of our food for food inspo, so I have comparisons between what we usually get and what we got today. The charcuterie board is $20 which isn’t bad, but for what we got today - I thought $10 would have been too much. There weren’t even crackers/bread to use with the plum sauce or soft cheese. The last time we came, the charcuterie board was phenomenal - and part of what brought us back in. The amazing flavors from the peppers, variety of cheeses, etc - SO good! But todays board looked almost unfinished. On the other hand, yesterday (Sun), we came in for a tour and tasting. That was beyond amazing. The tour guide was educated, passionate, engaging. She gave us tons of ideas for recipes, etc. despite the poor bistro food, we still bought (and will continue to buy) the olive oils and balsamic vinegars bc they are OUTSTANDING. Cannot recommend them enough. 🙌

Walked in before closing and was greeted by Trey. she gave great recommendations provided us with samples for about four or five different olive oil and balsamic vinegars. Must try the bourbon barrel aged balsamic. Trey was very attentive knowledgeable friendly and fun also gave us a great recommendation for a winery and directions to the Garrison Brothers distillery down the road. highly recommend visiting here.

We took a tour with the owner, John. He was passionate in his presentation and very informative of the health benefits of EVOO. The olive oil tasting was a plus! Unfortunately, we did not try the bistro but from the aroma it’s a Must try. We will definitely be back!

Took my family here at around noon mid-week for a bite to eat and a glimpse of the orchard...ended up with so much more! The staff (special thanks to Trey and Karen) at Texas Hill Country Olive Co. was warm, generous, and brimming with expertise. Our meal was superb, from the olives, tomatoes, and homemade bread to the hummus, grilled cheese, frittatas, and Italian meats and cheese. Trey (hope I'm spelling that right) went above and beyond in squeezing us in for a private olive oil tasting session with Karen, who was a veritable font of knowledge, passion, and humor. Can't wait to bring all my friends the delectable bottles of EVOO I snapped up from the cute gift shop. Hats off to the Gambini family for their vision, dedication, and resilience in bringing this wonderful company and experience to life.

An amazing place to visit. Everyone was super courteous and helpful. The food was incredible, my wife and I both got the Grilled Cheese and it was by far the best we had ever gotten. The gift shop was fully stocked, and was able to pick up several olive oils they produced. Will be back to do the tour.

Thoroughly enjoyed my day trip out to THC Olive Company! I've been purchasing their olive oils and balsamic vinegars online since I discovered them several years ago at the local farmers market. I am so glad I finally went out to their business. The mill tour and tasting was so informative and Karen was delightful and made it fun! Lunch afterward was delicious. Their shop is not only filled with their awesome oils and vinegars, but so many other great items! I will definitely be back for holiday shopping!

We visited recently for the first time after our go-to olive ranch was closed to the public, and we were NOT disappointed! We had lunch at the bistro, and not only was the service excellent, but the food was absolutely divine. We had a olive oil tasting flight and the strawberry balsamic lemonade is a must-try. We left with several bottles of delicious olive oil and balsamic vinegar and will definitely come back the next time we’re in hill country!

Stop in on our way to Wimberly. Made a 2nd stop 4 days later on our way home. Fantastic service. Farm to table menu. We had an antipasto salad, Italian panini and a goat cheese and plum jelly dip with crostini. The house made strawberry basil lemonade was great. Can't wait to visit again.

Biggest waste of time. If you are already passing by and are very bored then stopping in may be nice. Do not seek it out for good food, olive oil, or to look at a lush olive grove. On one side of the building is a highway, and on the other side is a bunch of twigs line up in a row that are sprouting a few leaves that might used to have been olive trees. I truly do not understand where they get all of their olive oil from because that grove is not doing well. When you walk in, the staff working the cash register are friendly, but you’re on your own to find the tucked away bistro menus. Looking at the prices, I figured the food would be premium quality and authentic. I ordered a plate of bread, olives and olive oil, and my boyfriend bought the margarita flatbread. The bread from my platter resembled and held the consistency of thinly sliced sourdough bread you can purchase at a store, rather than Italian style bread (such as focaccia). The olive oil which I figured would at least be good since it is an olive oil company had an unpleasant after taste. If you are looking for good Italian bread and oil I highly recommend Mandola’s. The bread is thick, bottomless, an authentic consistency, and the dip is something you’d want to drown your bread in! The margarita flatbread was extremely small and the cheese cooled and thickened so quickly I wonder how it was heated up. Needless to say, this place is focusing on its souvenirs, not it’s bistro or scenery.

I would have ranked them a 5 but you had one of the staff think they were too good to wait on you, and I was buying some of their more high end olive oil. Didn't get name but if you want to turn off your customer base don't let one of your employees spoil it.

Went with a group to taste oil. We were disappointed there was no wine tasting. We shared a flight, got a bottle of white wine (started with a T), charcuterie board, and olives with oil and bread. Place was very busy for a midday Monday but the staff accommodated our group by putting us inside in the back room when the wind was overpowering. The oil flight was tasty, the wine was was mediocre, the charcuterie board and olives were good. I was disappointed when the waitress who brought our charcuterie didn’t know what was on it nor did see research it and come tell us. The focaccia on the oil and olive plate was insufficient and really needed another 2-3 slices at the least. We ended up buying a bottle of oil (super greek) and the balsamic, which were both delicious.

I brought a bachelorette group here and we had the BEST meal at the bistro. The staff was so accommodating and kind to our large group and the bride won’t stop raving about the tomato soup and grilled cheese! I got a bottle of basil olive oil at the gift shop and can’t wait to make the salad dressing. Thank y’all so much!
