Wait staff is extremely attentive and professional. The strip mall exterior hides one gem of a restaurant I will be sure to visit again when I’m passing through. The p25 (cant remember the name) curry off the menu is freakin amazing.

Excellent Thai restaurant, not fancy but amazing food. I stopped there to get some Indian food. There are no Indian restaurants around Crystal River. So I was looking for my favorite Indian dish, yellow curry chicken. The version that I got was actually even better than I remember. I did not realize there was a Thai version of this meal. I will definitely be going back for more of that dish. I still would like an Indian restaurant in the area but at least I've found a very good restaurant for Thai food. Good job Thai Phoon.

If I could give any place in Crystal River Ten Stars, this would be the place. The tables and decor are simple but nice. The food was second to none anywhere in this area. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Hands down my new favorite place to have dinner.

Small intimate setting with only a few tables but the food and service was very good. The waitress was very accommodating to my request when ordering the yellow curry. All of the food came out quickly but was fresh. The portion sizes were fair and didn’t leave you starving or too stuffed.

Servings are a bit small but the Tom Yum soup is very good.

We go here with my in laws whenever we visit. The staff is friendly, and the service is great. My kids like it so much we’ve gone twice this week.

We ate here for my mom’s birthday lunch! It was absolutely amazing. Delicious flavor and great service. I would highly recommend checking out this place for lunch or dinner.

I must admit, the food was so good, I dug in before I could took a photo. Our lunch was delicious and came with a little spring egg roll and soup. The portion size was perfect for lunch. We also really enjoyed the sangria, it tasted like it was infused with fruit. Lunch for 4, 2 apps, and 2 drinks was under $60.

The volcano chicken is really good!! The portions are enough for dinner and a lunch next day.

Nothing like Long Island NY. Expensive and disappointing. I got takeout so I can’t comment on service.

I would give them more stars if I could. We called ahead and they had seating prepared for 10+baby. Orders were taken quickly and they Arrived correct. They were helpful, courteous and efficient. Would DEFINITELY go back. Best place in Crystal River!

Thai Phoon has a variety of delicious entrees including thier appetizers. The service is very good as well.

I took my daughter to dinner for her 38th birthday expecting some spicy hot Thai food, although their food was very good and service was good, the taste fell short of our expectations

Took a take out order of green curry chicken, spring rolls, and pad kee mao. The rolls were mushy inside and cold. the 6 tiny rolls seemed like frozen swanson. THE pad kee Mao had canned veggies. The rice portions were very small too.The green curry was terrible, almostinedible. We couldn't finish the meal and threw it away. Yuk Never again. Very disappointed 😞.

Both our meals at lunch time were on the salty side. They have spices on the side ( at the table). Should have let customers add the more soy sauce and spices on the meal depending on individualpreference. . Too salty=no way to fix it or make it less salty. Lemon lemon ..maybe.

Excellent Chicken Pad Thai, and Yellow Curry with Chicken and Shrimp. Portions good as well. We did take out. Well worth the drive from Cedar Key RV resort.

Eaten here a few times - shame on me for not reviewing - this place has GREAT food! Coming from a large metro area with lots of Thai restaurants - this place ranks right up there. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Good sized menu with lots of choices; also serve alcohol. Panang is fabulous; really fresh veggies, sauce amazing and chicken is very tender. Pra Ram is delicious too - so many more things to try. Pad Prig Khing is next! Lunch is a great deal with a spring roll & small delicious soup included. Decor is plain and clean and again - staff are terrific. Food has been consistently delicious! Crave it!!

Absolutely love this place. The food was great and the heat level is pretty spot on with what you’d expect but they do have options to make it more mild if that is more your style.

This place isn't bad at all, but it didn't have the wow that you usually get from a Thai place. It was nice to have the variety, but if you are familiar with Thai food, I wouldn't expect it to be your new favorite place. Still worth a visit, just keep realistic expectations.

Fantastic curries and fried rice! The mango sticky rice for dessert was, “don’t talk to me” good!!!!

Food was delicious, servers were friendly and efficient and there was plenty of parking. Decor was pretty basic, about a dozen or so kitchen tables with chairs. The food and service make up for it.

I eat here a couple times a week. Owners are always working there. Great service, food and always clean. Food is served quick so it’s perfect for lunch. Pad ma bee, spicy noodle and garlic and black pepper are awesome meals. Potstickers, tempura vegetables, snow shrimp and fried won tons are great appetizers.

Very friendly family restaurant with great food. No fancy decor, just simple tables and chairs in a strip mall setting with authentic Thai food served by very kind people. I'll definitely be back ❤️

It's been 18 years since I have seen Massaman curry. It was delicious. Golden plate appetizers were ok. The staff/owners? Friendly and attentive.

Our normal Thai place in BH was closed for the holiday weekend so we ventured over to this place in CR. We ordered pad Thai and it was horrible. It had such a weird taste, it was so greasy and oily, and it even had a strange smell to it like urine. We will not eat here again.

One of the best. This place was great. I had the duck and it was perfect. They even made us little donuts for dessert. Everything thing we had was so good. Thank u guys for a great experience we will be back.

We stopped on a whim on our way out of town, and sampled four different appetizers and two meals... ALL of them were amazing!! We ordered a second batch of both the steamed dumplings and the potstickers, and I wish I had ordered more of the curry puffs as well!!

Came in for the lunch special, had chicken satay and curry puffs for an app. The curry puffs where hands down the best i ever had, fresh and beautiful flavors. For lunch we had pra ram and pineapple shrimp curry. Both were amazing and had flavors dancing across our palettes. New favorite 😍

Excellent place to get Thai noodles. Their pad Thai is very good. They make some of the best crab rangoon in Citrus county. Prices are fair. Food always comes out quickly, piping hot, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. I also enjoy all of their tom yum soup varieties. Great place for lunch or dinner.

The food I had was not very good. Had I not been starving I would have not eaten it. I had a fly go into my food, and my fathers food looked uncooked and unprepared. They were nice enough to take my fathers food off of the bill and the service was very good. You could tell the servers were very sorry. Would not go here for food.

Really good. No spicy mayo but the sauce that goes with crab Rangoon is really tasty and sweet. I put some on my pad see ew. The pad Thai was also good. I enjoyed the atmosphere too. They put a really good effort into the experience and food.

Just moved to the area and this WAS my new fav place. The Chicken pad Thai was great until they got new owners and now the sauce the use is awful. If they ever bring back the old recipe I’ll go again. For now. No thanks.

My BF and I stopped in for dinner. First time in, as we are just visiting the area for the weekend Service was excellent. Very friendly! Our food was fast. We had appetizers, and we shared a medium pad thai with chicken. We did medium heat. (I like heat, but my BF does not). Medium was a nice light heat.

I have had a lot of Thai food and that was by far the best pad Thai I have ever had. Wife loved her curry. Incredibly good pad Thai and very excited we found this place. Will be back again soon!

The worst Pad Thai I have ever tasted. The noodles were overcooked and gummy, the shrimp were overcooked and chewy, and it was so, so bitter I couldn't eat it. I'm guessing it had way to much tamarind paste and lime juice. The crab rangoon were very greasy and tough to eat. I would not eat here again.

I just had a delicious meal! It will be my new favorite Thai restaurant. I ordered take out. I had the Pra Ram with chicken and coconut rice. It was fresh and hot. The peanut sauce was perfect and the coconut rice was heavenly. It almost was a dessert. It went very well together with the peanut sauce, chicken and veggies. It was a good amount too. I'll have left overs for tomorrow. I also had spring rolls and delicious Thai tea with cream. I definitely recommended this gem.

Been going there for years but so sad we had to miss out on this trip. The four if us decided to go somewhere else because we could not get a glass of wine anymore. Very angry with this place. Nothing but thieves. I bought a gift card as a christmas present for a friend. It was $50. She used half and was given a receipt for the remainder. This was within the year of purchase. She went back to use remainder and woman said she would not honor it. That means the restaurant pocketed the balance and that means stealing. Beware before you buy a gift card from that place. I will never go there again. I just found out about them not honoring the balance and so angry and embarrased that i bought a card there

We where in town for some business and decided to stop by Thai Phoon Restaurant. What a great find.... Food was awesome and service was great.... Will be stopping by this Establishment again. Update 3/29/23 We where in town again and stopped by once again. Meet with the new owner Andre and let him know that the food was just as good as the previous owner. He had us sample his dessert the mango with sweet coconut and sticky rice with a sprinkle of sesame seeds yummy. Can’t remember the bite size curry bites with the special sauce but they where awesome also…… see you next time we are in town. FYI the Won-ton soup was on point!

I love this place ! Great authentic Thai restaurant I always get the Massaman curry, it's tangy and delicious! Made with warm spices, vegetables, coconut milk, curry paste and your protein of choice. I'm leaving for the summer so brought in a gift of appreciation

Never have had a bad experience always excellent wonderful people great food Can't say anything good about the new owners. Tried there food four times because we've been eating here since it opened many years ago. nothing is the same or close to what it was and it is not good, we are never going back! We Couldn't eat the last we had and left it on our plates,servers never said one word,just handed us the bill. They know it's not so good but are there for only for one thing. Do your self a favor and find a good restaurant.

Besides the lady who makes me feel guilty when I order too extra sauce ha ha, I absolutely love this place! My friend who comes in from out of town goes here with me every time she comes up almost. The food is incredible!

The food is one of the best thai food I’ve had. The service is excellent. Friendly waitress as well as the cooks. Their spring rolls are the bomb! The egg drop soup is supreme. For our main course we had pineapple shrimp curry and chicken curry and they are extremely good! Definitely recommend to anyone.

We had Pad Pri Khing and Beef in Oyster Souce and liked it a lot. Also the spring rolls are tasty. The flat rice noodles were perfectly cooked.

On Jan 18 wanted to celebrate a birthday in a low key restaurant, not too far away, not too crowded, we decided through a referral to try the food at Thai Phoon restaurant in Crystal River. Nowadays any where you go you can’t seem to get two things for the price of one! This place had the right combination and got an excellent deal of 6 things for the price of one: great tasting meal, reasonable prices, friendly, quick service, attentive server and very clean place. We highly recommend Thai Phoon. We were not disappointed.

Thai Phoon has been one of my family's favorite places to frequent over the last few years... until tonight. Apparently there has been a change of owner that does not believe in flavor or good portion sizes because the place that used to put a smile on our faces any day of the week left us hungry, disappointed, and uninterested to go back. I am in no way writing this review to simply complain but to hopefully get the attention of other regular customers so they aren't left with similar disappointment that this change has instilled from this new owner.

Got soup and appetizers did not like even my mother that loves Thai food. Did not like anything there no flavor! When not recommend this place

Very delicious thai food. We tried the steamed potstickers for an appetizer, and the N5 lunch selection. Thin egg noodle, reminiscent of lo mein with veggies and beef. The portion size was quite small- and decently high priced at 10.95. Overall, it was very tasty.. but I wouldn't go as often due to the price/ portion ratio. Thank you for great service, and delicious food.

Sincerely some of the best pad thais you’ll find in the area and maybe even the state. I always get the shrimp pad thai and the shrimps are never over cooked, the spice level is just right and the service is very friendly. Check this place out if you can!

Excellent service, very welcoming. Opposite of the Mexican restaurant we visited in town. I am vegan and the waitress let me know the only thing available for me was the sweet and sour tofu. I asked for fried tofu and it came out delicious, and I usually don’t like sweet and sour

Only one vegetarian entree (sweet and sour tofu), everything else has chicken broth in it.

Always my go to place for Thai food. Healthy and family run place. No canned or store bought sauce or soup bases. Just beautiful food made with skill and love.

Oh my goodness! I traveled 2 hours with some friends for my birthday to visit Rainbow River. We looked up nearby restaurants on Google and found this place. The place was clean, the service pleasant and quick. I tried the Massaman (sp?) curry with Tofu and I have been craving it ever since. Sooooo good and I will definitely dine here again next time I visit the area. Also, when it was time to pay, the server informed us that the manager or owner for the next door Seafood restaurant paid our bill! What lovely people who played a part in creating such wonderful memories for my birthday. Thank you!

Always happy to give good reviews to good places. Don't hesitate to try them here, great Thai food, freshly made, nice and hot. I like my food with some kick, and I got a medium, which was perfect. A spicy taste on my tongue, just a little heat and sweat on my forehead. Perfect. If you want to sweat, go ahead and get hot, I am sure it will match. Wife likes mild, and the curry was flavorful and good at that level for her.

Honestly, it's ok. I personally found the Panang curry to be a bit bland, and the beef salad my wife got was just.. a garden salad with some cooked meat on top. I wouldn't suggest them if someone was craving Thai, but I would probably give them another try if someone else brought it up. I definately wouldn't bring family (from Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand) there. Will have to look elsewhere if you want Larb, Papaya salad, or other dishes.

This is our go-to restaurant when we visit Crystal River. Food is always very good and service is prompt and efficient. Never any complaint here.
