Great atmosphere Servers are polite, friendly, and kind. Drinks are good and exciting. Sharable plates yum!

Better to say nothing than something negative. Disappointed.

First time in Tavares and this was my favorite bar I went to. Trinity the bartender is clearly the best bartender in town hands down. The bombs away drink was pretty cool with the mechanics from the bar and smoke gun. Def worth getting 1 time for the experience.

An amazing place for a few drinks and light appetizers. The bartender, Trinity, is awesome! She's super friendly and knows her drinks. Everything she gave us was good.

My family and I have frequented Argonauts many times now and we have always enjoyed ourselves. But I cannot go without saying that Kay is absolutely fantastic! No matter what she is on top of everything! She is always so friendly and kind! She is on the ball with making sure she goes above and beyond with getting our drinks for us in a timely manner and with such an amazing personality! Y’all are so very lucky to have Kay representing your establishment!

We have found ourselves as regulars strictly because we absolutely love Kay. The drinks are great, the snacks are good, the vibes are immaculate, but it is Kay that makes us want to come week after week. She brightens our day every single time and we are so happy she is here. BOMBS AWAY!!

Went for a date on a Thursday evening. Atmosphere is great!!! Drinks were delicious and the bartender is very friendly. Venue is very small, but inviting and uniquely themed.

This is a great themed bar. The only thing that irked me was that the cocktails are wine based. No where on the menu does it say that. I feel like it’s deceitful when it doesn’t specify.

If you haven't been to the Argonaut.. then you haven't experienced one of the most unique restaurants and bars in Tavares and surrounding areas. The food and drinks are out of this world. The service is top-notch 👌. Keep up the outstanding work 👏👌👍🏻

I didn't try the food, but the drink I had was good & the atmosphere was nice. The bathroom seemed clean & the waitress was friendly. I liked it for the most part. It was just a little pricey & the music kinda sucked so we only stayed for one drink.

What a lovely thing it is that this place exists. The staff is delightful, the atmosphere is outstanding, and the specialty cocktails all fit into the lore written about the place.

My wife and I went here while we were in the area for something else, and this ended up being the highlight! Super detailed theme, and we loved the octopus scattered about along with watching the aquariums. The drinks were creative and tasty, and the prices were very reasonable. Also we had the owner as our server and she was spot on. When in the area, we will be coming back 👍

The decorations and design are nice, and that's it. Cocktails premixed, food from Walmart.... cheap, and the cop server wasn't funny AT ALL. I don't recommend it. There are plenty of places around with a nicer atmosphere.

Great place to enjoy something different. The people working there like Ashley and Kay are outstanding.

Very cool, creatively designed bar with light bites. You have to check it out. You'll love the concept of a bar with a submarine type theme inspired by Jules Verne 20,000 Leagues Under thr Sea! Order the Bombs Away or The Abyss for the entertainment value AND taste. You can tell Hillary the owner is very passionate about this as well as her and her husband's other hospitality concepts. Really loved the Spotify playlist Henry's List playing. Check it out!!

My husband and I were in town for the night 2 weekends ago and we were walking around exploring the area and we found this little gem of a bar. We intended on just stopping in for 1 drink but we enjoyed the atmosphere so much I think we ended up there for 2 hours and me working my way through the drink menu! Definitely a fun little bar with delicious drinks and excellent, kind service. So glad we stumbled upon it!

Overall, pretty chill place. The atmosphere in here was very relaxing and colorful.... Slightly confusing, but I can get down with it. The drinks were unique for sure but a bit pricey. Surprisingly, it was the beer cheese and pretzel bites that won my heart. Service was great and if your in Tavares I definitely suggest stopping by.

The concept looked cool so we decided to give it a try. The space is extremely small and over priced. My wife ordered the Janes addiction and it's supposed to have butterfly pea tea. When it got to her it looked clear. When she mentioned something to the server she said it's supposed to be like that but after looking at other reviews it was definitely not supposed to be like that. Other pictures of the drink looked purple. We still paid for our drinks. Not a good first experience adding a picture of our drink as a reference. Also all the drinks are wine based which if you did not previously know will be disappointing.

Cozy, submarine themed speakeasy with 2 burlesque shows a month! How can you beat that? And not in Orlando,but Tavares!

Amazing Service and Atmosphere!!! We got to sit in our own private booth that looked like we were in a submarine! the drinks are great theming and food is amazing!

A must visit in Tavares! Submerge yourself on a fantastic voyage in the Argonaut Bar and Lounge! With an incredible submarine atmosphere throughout. They serve delicious Tiki drinks and craft beers with wonderful service, we felt like part of the crew. We didn't try any food on this visit but the plates, looked delicious! We will definitely try them on our next voyage with The Argonaut. Very well done! 🧭🫡👍 And, of course we had to buy our Tiki glasses and, a really cool T-shirt before coming ashore! 😁

I'm a bit torn on this place as I really, really wanted to love it and was excited to stop in. The décor and concept is really cool! The drinks, along with the atmosphere, I expected to be the stars of the show. They have several great craft beers on tap at $7 and more of the domestic stuff in bottles and cans. Unfortunately the standard cocktail menu was quite small ~9 drinks and all but one was a wine based cocktails (sangrias, vermouth, pinot grigio, etc..) I didn't realize but maybe this place is more of a wine bar than craft cocktails? The only non-wine drink was a vodka cranberry (fairly basic drink) - now granted they do a really cool smoke bubble on top! The also do mimosas and dessert wines. Their specialty menu at the moment was a "Tiki" menu. It had about 4 additional drinks. Unfortunately it was not the classic or modern tiki versions. More in line with the ultra-sweet 80s-90s tiki that saw the decline vs. the very alcohol forward classics. Space: the size of the place is adequate for a small bar, but not very large. Several of the seats are down a wall outside of the kitchen where you can't see the bar.... and therefore, the corresponding cocktail show that comes with the special drinks. So if you want that version of the entertainment you'll need to sit at the bar instead of one of the tables. The bartender and service was really great and they were super nice. We didn't stay and try the food but from all the pictures, it looks really good. I'm hopeful they'll go with a revamped craft cocktail menu and we'll come back and give it another try. The atmosphere, music, and the service was top notch! If wine is your thing and you want a cool place to sip, this is the place! If you are looking for craft cocktails you probably want to look elsewhere.

Such an amazing little place. Relaxing and quaint atmosphere, delicious share plates and great drinks. We loved the Skull Island Storm, the cheese spread, flat bread pizza and pretzel bites.

This a nice little vibe. Deseret and can be a nice date night spot or a place to meet up with old friends. Wish I took pictures but I was on BPT and once I got there I was ready to drink and shanag lol.
