The food are delicious and the dessert the best one “ cookie monster” spectacular

Delicious veggie restaurant that is an alternative dive bar. What more could you ask for? They have a short menu (which means everything is fresh and yummy!) of delicious homemade food and amazing bloody Mary's. It's all a la carte, so the prices are great. The staff is super cool, and there is an outdoor table that I think is dog friendly. Reminds me of Tattoo Mom's on South Street in Philly. A Tallahassee treasure.

We were a bit of a coincidence when we saw that it was well rated. We found a place with a lot of atmosphere, live music and very delicious food, at a good price and with generous quantities. I highly recommend it.

I went to this restaurant on my vacation to Tallahassee. The food was the best vegan option I have ever been introduced to. The service was a little slow.

Vegetarians galore, you’ll want to eat ‘til you’re sore 😂 Time and time again, I am absolutely blown away by the attention to detail, amazing and diverse menu options, and how amazing the barks recipes are. Not only that, the staff are well trained, attentive, fast, and they keep the restaurant impeccably clean. I had to make this post tonight because the Philly that I ordered came out absolutely delicious to all six senses!! The atmosphere is friendly to everyone. Next to my Oyster City Mill Pond fresh from draft, ah, a beautiful sight to behold. I love the bark so much. Visiting vegetarians, don’t sleep on this place. Even if you’re not vegetarian you must visit and try something like the beet burger(it’s actually a lentil burger but.. don’t get hung up on that!) Karaoke Wednesdays and ample events and performances. One of the coolest places in Tallahassee.

Wow, this place was really good! I had the kitchen salad, black bean burger and fries, and peanut butter pie. The burger was excellent, great flavor and it didn’t fall apart like a lot of black bean burgers do, and the roll was also really, really good. The fries are like shoestring-style and had lots of flavor; I ate a bunch plain which I don’t usually do, although I also recommend getting a side of their vegan ranch for dipping. The peanut butter pie was a lot richer and denser than I expected, and also was excellent. Great service too, whenever I’m back in the area I will definitely return

Go to vegetarian/vegan spot. Love the tofu bahn mi and brunch. Great mixed drinks and mocktails.

As mostly a carnivore I can still generally find a good meal here. I don't discriminate against a good vegan or vegetarian meal.

You will love this place and food is amazing tasting and you get a lot of great tasting and fair priced food. And the people here are good hearted and hard working people here. Just relax and have fun.:))

The good was good. I’ll give it mostly 5 stars. The only thing is that it’s a lot of self service. It felt more like a fast food restaurant than an actual restaurant. Self serve water, self busing, etc. the food was great.

Fries were a big mush in bag. For $6, the oyster mushrooms came with a quantity of 5. They seemed burnt or could’ve been the grease change. Couldn’t hear the waitress because of the loud music. Too dark to see food. Just a spot for hippie aesthetic college students. Will not return.

Welllll... this is one of those places that you genuinely need to be a vegan to enjoy. Not bad, but not good if you aren't used to this style. The atmosphere is cool. Excellent and kind servers and employees. My family? Did they like the food? Not so much. My 18 year old found the cheesesteak inedible. Mom enjoyed the poor boi but has GI issues afterward. I was fine with it but wasn't wowed. We like to try new things. We were happy with that. It's definitely a college town type of place. But not for us. Vegetarian cuisine is a bit different than vegan, which is what we learned today. All other customers seemed to really enjoy it! We, however, ended up at Gaines Street for Pizza right afterward and treated Bark as an expensive appetizer. I'm sure it's great for Vegans! Just not for us.

Ok, so to let you all know, I check out reviews as well, I tried this restaurant today to see if it was all that I have read, and it is. Tuck away in its own corner of the world. I like it. To get away from the outside world and just enjoy good vegan food, this is your spot. Very eccentric with a laid-back atmosphere. The person taking my order recommended the roasted potato, and I'm glad he did. They were delicious. And the sandwich, although I ruined the beautiful of it, was just as delicious. I shall return.😋😍😁

The staff recommended the Tofu Banh Mi, and it was delicious! The bread was soft but still crunchy on the outside, and the tofu was well-fried and seasoned perfectly. Just be careful with the chili inside; it’s quite hot 🥵. If the lighting design were better, I would have enjoyed the atmosphere even more.

The food, service, and ambiance are so good here. The Tofu Bahn MI was so delicious. A hidden gem for sure.

Delicious vegan bahn mi sandwich. Fries were tasty and better than potatoes. My to go order had no utensil for my potatoes nor a napkin. Open your stapled brown bag and check your stuff before you leave. They have happy hour 5 to 7 pm everyday.

I come here every time I am in Tallahassee and get the tofu bahn mi, It’s the best in town! the atmosphere of the restaurant is a relaxing and artistic vibe, and the employees are always polite. Cant wait to come back and get some bahn mi lol

No pics as usual. Sorry. This in my opinion is the best vegetarian restaurant in Tallahassee. I would also say they would hold their own when compared to similar type restaurants in other cities as well. They both execute the dishes they prepare very well and they have interesting menu items. My two favorite regular menu items are the tofu banh mi sandwich and the oyster mushroom poboy. The latter is surprisingly similar to its oyster counterpart. I also recommend any of their weekend breakfast bowls which I get with eggs but you can get it with crispy tofu as well.

Vegetarian restaurant by day, more of a bar by night. Usually has bands, comedy, or readings on the evenings. Big fan.

Great vegan place. Food is delicious and there’s a nice variety. They also host different events and bands. They also are very conscious of other dietary restrictions.

Most of the time the food here is pretty decent. Yeah the vegetables might be wilted, yeah the service might be hit or miss, but overall for a dive bar they usually serve pretty good vegan food. This last visit however was pitiful. Ordered my food ahead of time and waited a bit after I got there. The cashier was rude to me but thats pretty typical for me if its not one of the nicer cashiers that I see regularly. I ordered two tofu bahn mi sandwiches. I took both sandwiches out, and they absolutely REEKED of cigarettes. Before I even unwrapped them! Both of the sandwiches had an overwhelming cigarette odor all over them and were inedible. I've smoked cigarettes. I've ordered from restauraunts with people that I know chain-smoke but I never experienced something like this before. Its clear that employees aren't washing their hands between cigarette breaks which is extremely unsanitary. The place is pretty dirty as-is but I was hoping they at least washed their hands or used gloves regularly but I guess they don't. I've forgiven the bark for a few mistakes in the past like bugs and unwarranted rudeness but this pretty much made me cut them out of my rotation. Sad to see such wasted potential in a place Check out Sweet Pea! They've improved and provide consistent service lately. Employees are MUCH nicer!

Had a great sunday brunch there. I am not vegan, but the tofu scramble was really good. went again recently to see a show and got the tofu bahn thai, it was also very good! I have been frequenting the venue for shows for the last few years, good vibes.

I love trying any attempt to recreate carnivorous food without meat, so when I saw this online, and I saw how good it looked, I knew I had to try it, and The Bark did not disappoint. The Oyster Mushroom Po’ Boi was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. I also got to enjoy some pool while I waited. Overall a great place, though I would like a bit more light inside, personally.

The tofu bánh mi is *chef's kiss* seriously so good. I actually hate tofu, and this is the only tofu I will eat, it's so crispy and delicious. I also enjoy their fries. And of course, the eclectic atmosphere.

My favorite restaurant. I have a bunch of dietary restrictions so going out to eat usually isn't much fun because I have to ask a bunch of questions to end up only having an option of 1 or 2 things to eat. Here I have a selection. The menu is clearly marked concerning what is dairy free and gluten free. My first time here I ordered 4 meals no regrets. I've been back countless times. The atmosphere is comfortable. I can truly feel relaxed. I highly recommend this restaurant. Also THE BEST French fries in my opinion.

I used to be a vegetarian, and I found this place through the nerd trivia that they host. The food here is unique, wholesome, and vegetarian/vegan. I had their tofu banh mi in the past, but it wasn't quite the flavor profile I was expecting. This time I got a beans and rice bowl with tofu, and it was great, but I wish it had more kale and fresh onions. The peanut butter pie was rich and delicious.

I go here with my brother because he is vegan and though I'm not I'm surprised at how much I love the food. Also do yourself a favor and get a slice of the cookie monster pie

Great vegan place. Eclectic and fun. Love the food. I haven't had a bad meal yet. Weekend brunch bowls are filling and fresh. Counter service and bus your own tables. Lots of entertainment just check before you go. Bathrooms co-ed. Great Karaoke on Weds. I always look forward to going.

Dive bar feel very artsy the Bahn Mi is fantastic! Great food. Really enjoyed it. It’s def service kind of place. Order and pay then clean your own table. Would definitely come back!

The Bark has a nice relaxing vibe. The fried mushroom po boy and vegan mac n cheese are awesome. They have AMAZING vegan ranch, the best vegan ranch dressing that I've ever had. The staff are cool, nice and friendly!...

The Bark is soooo darn good. It's greasy it's punk it makes you want to come back for more.

Fun, funky vegan restaurant. Amazing food.

The food was really delicious. I got the sloppy Jose and when they brought it out I was disappointed because it didn't look much like a sloppy Joe ..but then I started eating it and the flavor blend was excellent!! Much better than any old sloppy Joe. Great art everywhere, live music, and super friendly staff. Very much a college hangout...we felt a bit old being in there, but it also had Portland/San Francisco vibes which made us feel very at home.

I was surprised how bad the food was. If you're looking for a solidly good vegan sandwich go to Sweet Pea Cafe.

I came at a really weird time, which to me was really awesome, but could be off-putting to the non weird persons at large. I love places that nurture art culture, even if it's a genre of a subsect of niche interests. Art needs homes like this. I was excited to try something new (I was going to try the beet burger) but I guess I had gotten there after the main kitchen closed, and they had limited menu options. I tried the vegan chickn tenders. The flavor was amazing and had a rich chicken like flavor. Even though it was a bit too hush puppy like in the bready mouth feel, the remoulade that is served on the side of this dish really helps to complement the flavors of the tenders. I'm sure my rating would improve if I can find the time to make it during normal hours.

Everything about the place was absolutely wonderful. I can't think of one bad thing to say.

I’ve had a few philly cheesesteaks. i never expected that the best one would come from a vegan restaurant. I’m not vegan myself but I’ve got a couple friends who are, so i eat vegan meals fairly often. Regardless, the food here blew me away. The friendly service and relaxed atmosphere were pleasant bonuses. The banh mi (i think im spelling that wrong) is also excellent. I got it without jalapeños personally but if you like those then go ahead. I genuinely don’t think you can go wrong at this place.

One of the absolute coolest places in town, the vibes are immaculate and the staff are amazing people. That's a photo of me playing a show they did for fundraising!! They do all kinds of events too, and have all kinds of local music playing there every week, it's incredible :)

Really enjoyed my meal from here! Ordered the buffalo tofu sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese and a cookie. New to town and excited to have such a great and affordable vegan option!!

My best friend and I sat down and I enjoyed every bite. The chicken and waffles was exactly what I craved for breakfast and it delivered as well as the toast and jam. The mac n cheese was ok. The potato hash bowl was good but a little salty.

We adore the bark. It is one of very few places I as a vegetarian actually have a CHOICE in what I eat. The food is delicious. Love love love this place. The home made ginger lemons de, deliciousness…..

A funky little spot in the "cut'. I got the Banh mi, which was delicious and super flavorful. A nice light lunch. I'll have to come back and try some other items and maybe even check out some events here.

Great little place for something different, we've been here twice and both times we loved the food and atmosphere. Its vegetarian but the food is amazingly prepared.

I love this place. I’ve been quite a few times and I’ve never had a bad meal. Also been to a couple shows here and the atmosphere is great. Service is always good and friendly. I love the regular menu and brunch menu and they have a great Bloody Mary. I usually like to try their specials and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend this restaurant for vegetarians and vegans as well as anyone looking for something a little less meaty but in a familiar form. Pictured is the last meal I had, “catfish” and grits special (mushrooms are magic!), biscuits and gravy bowl, one of the many local beers they have available, and the Bloody Mary!

I had the Vegan Chili Crunch wrap to go, and it was delicious! Can’t wait to taste the rest of the items on the menu. My non-vegan friends enjoyed their vegan grilled cheese, and the bahn mi as well.

My band SLUGCRUST recently played here and I can easily say they have the best food I’ve ever eaten at a venue/bar/restaurant type of experience. Ended up getting three meals throughout the day lol! Not only amazing food, but really cool area and great bands coming through. Don’t sleep on this spot.

Review from a carnivore: The Bahn mi is really freaking delicious. If you told me it was gf and veg, I'd have laughed in disbelief! The bread was soft in the middle and slightly toasted. The flavors of each element went together wonderfully. I will eat here again!

Great food, great service, and an absolutely amazing atmosphere to just be in but the food is a bit pricey with no combos available. If you go to see a show, they usually have a good audience that actually pay attention to the performers.

Friendly place. Funky artwork with an eclectic aesthetic and quaint atmosphere, at least at 2pm on a Saturday! We ordered the daily special which was a vegan crunch wrap and it was delicious! Try the chamomile Arnold palmer! This is a mostly vegan food/bar establishment with some vegetarian options. We did not have any alcoholic drinks, but the drink menu had some tasty looking options! We will certainly be visiting again on our next trip to Tallahassee!

Delicious fresh-made on-premise soft bread for the very popular ban mi tofu sandwich. All vegan and vegetarian options 😋. Why didn't I find this place earlier??? Parking may be challenging but surprisingly spacious interior dining area. Very creative space. The stage imples concerts and other entertainment onsite. Can't wait to go back and try the mushroom po'boy!

Wonderful place with a distinct character. The vegetarian food was good with nice choices, I had the "Philly Cheese steak", no meat, but good enough. There's a full bar at the place.

Amazing place, great people! The Bark supported us for this significantly event for earthquake victims. They hosted this amazing night. Two massive earthquakes hit Turkey a few weeks ago. More than 40k people died and others trying to survive. This donation night was for 6 families who lost their homes, loved ones, and everything that they had. Also, 4 talented music band volunteered for tonight’s show. 🤍 thank for everything again and again.

Perfect escape on a hectic day. This place has an environment that feels like it's really loved by people. We ordered cups of their vegan Mac and cheese which was delicious! We look forward to going back, both for the food and the vibes.

My second time to this vegetarian restaurant and bar (full). First time had an excellent beet burger and fries, this past visit had the fried tofu banh mi and fries which was also excellent and could turn into a go to sandwich. The wife has a Blue hole, lemonade, rum, pineape, and curacao which she enjoyed. We went on a Thursday afternoon which was quiet and we enjoyed good food and conversation.

I’ve been here a handful of times and always enjoy my experience! My favorite drink is the Blue Hole and I like all the food they have :)

I ordered the kitchen salad with tofu and it was excellent. The restaurant had a cool hipster vibe and the all vegan menu looked very good. The only issue I had was that the dirty plates were out in the open for a while and the container where customers put them in was quite full. The bathroom was also very dirty. The restaurant staff should focus a bit more on being more sanitary overall.

As a non-vegetarian, the tofu bahn mi is a 10/10, delicious sandwich. No qualifications. My wife had the veggie burger, and that was great, too.

What can be said about such a unique and vital apparatus to our town? A genuine Tallahassee cultural center. They're bringing you the foodz. They're bringing you the musiques. They're doing the lordz work, folx. If you are Vegetarian, Vegan or even food-sensitive... the menu at The Bark is for you. Omnivores rejoice as well, since a meat-lover can add an egg and cheese to almost anything. If you are allergic to mainstream music and uniform conformity culture ala 'College Town' (may it rot in hell,) then the arts attracted to and hosted at The Bark, is most definitely for you. A stage, a full bar,.. I believe they are available for private events. Plentiful outdoor seating for accompanying pets, the covid-wary or smoking habits. Squarely central in the Allsaints district, yet, tucked away, adjacent to Railroad Sq. Do check them out if you haven't already. Maybe for brunch? Carpooling is ideal for groups, since parking is the only real shortcoming here.

The food was so delicious ! I loved the ginger lemonade (which they make in house ) and tacos ! My husband had the tofu burger and each was so flavorful ! I need to see what the other food taste like ! It’s kind of got like a hippie California vibe ! Food wait time was not long at all ! Happy to go to a place where I can eat as I’m gluten free !

All I gotta say is if you are a vegetarian, this is your haven in Tallahassee. The tofu bahn mi is a MUST. Along with that, they host some really awesome local bands
