We have never had anything bad here! The workers/bartender are always so happy and friendly even tho she was running all over the place! The owner is an amazing guy! The food was amazing! The crab cake quesadilla was delicious! Thanks!

Very friendly owner/staff. Food was excellent. Enjoyed my grilled chicken salad. My brother had the classic steak burger with fried egg and cheese, he also enjoyed his meal. French fries were phenomenal. And the "benzookie" for dessert was superb. Going back tomorrow, lol!

Not a local and found this place randomly. We ordered the fried Brussels sprouts and fried zuchinni as appetizers. The sprouts were I guess flash fried (no batter/breading) and served with a creamy sweet chili sauce. Very good and unique. The zuchinni was a fall back, but stole the show. Fresh, in house, with a batter that stayed on. I opted for a side of ranch as I'm not a horseradish fan. Marinara is also an option. Literally the best fried zuchinni I have ever had and I grow my own. For meals 2 of us got burgers, 1 went for the shrimp po boy wrap. My burger came out hot and juicy. I was feeling basic and just went with literally cheese burger with ketchup. I could taste the meat (hope that makes sense) My first bite had juice dribbling down my hand, but the bun somehow stayed together. My husband loved the wrap, my son could not finish his bbq bacon burger. The fries came out well cooked with skin on. I added S&P. They are not seasoned, but stand on their own. Service was in my opinion perfect. Waitress was chill. She was attentive and friendly without being over bearing or pushy. We went early on a Friday (5ish) and they quickly had most tables taken. Mgr/owner jumped in to help her out. He was also not pushy but seemed super proud when we complimented them on how great our appetizers were. Beer selection was basic so I opted for a cocktail that came out the way I requested, not overly iced or weak. I highly recommend this little spot if you are looking for a good burger and a drink. It may not please the beer aficionados and it doesn't seem to have a lot of options for special dietary needs, but what they do have is done extremely well. After eating I went out for a smoke and another patron joined me. It was his first visit as well and he shared how much he enjoyed the place. He also shared how the table next to him were also 1st timers and greatly enjoying it. Really wish this was my local place.

Always wanted to stop, finally did. Delicious food, great friendly service. Food was hot when brought to the table. Everyone was so welcoming to us first timers. Will return, highly recommend

Great little spot with friendly staff / owner and nice local hometown feel ❣️ we stopped in for dinner with a toddler and infant and got a nice quiet booth where they provided coloring materials for the toddler as well as a booster seat. The service was wonderful! They also support a new local brewery (Magnetar) and the beer was delicious!!! We will definitely be back when we want a low key family night out 😃

Live music last night was a plus. Server, Becky, was efficient and very friendly, in spite of being very busy. Large and diverse crowd well received by both owners, who circulate among the customers. The burger was exceptional and the story about the origin of the name of their restaurant is heart-warming. Thanks, Benze siblings, for bringing some good food and great atmosphere back to this stretch of Mount Royal Boulevard. This is a nice place to meet friends for a drink and a good meal.

I eat here often, either alone or with family and friends. My biggest challenge is deciding what I want from the menu each time because it's all good. All the staff are personable, even when very busy; they do their best to provide great service.

Typical bar food, nothing special about it that would give it the wow factor.

Highly, highly recommend. We were in town for a funeral and decided to find a local place last minute for 20 of our family to crash (last minute) and they not only kept up with our craziness, they went above and beyond to make our time there memorable and enjoyable!! Thank you so much to everyone here for everything and definitely check out if you’re around. The burger was perfect and the tater tots cooked better than any I’ve had.

Me and my wife go here about twice a month. I love there brussel sprouts,burgers,and steak wraps. The employees are all very nice and the owner Benze makes time to talk to you and is a very nice happy go lucky type guy. Was just there last night for karaoke with friends and was very entertained.

We have stopped many times since the opening of the Blue Goose Saloon and have always left satisfied. The homemade soups are outstanding! Best burger’s around and the steaks are made to perfection! The staff has always made us feel welcome which is why we keep coming back 🍀

Don’t get the hype. We went because of the great reviews, so I expected some good food…. It was okay. Paid 5.99 for them to add cubbed chicken to my pasta. Maybe the bar is better.

We always take family and friends from out of town to the Blue Goose for dinner and they are never disappointed. Aside from the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, their food is delicious. You can't go wrong with the burgers or steaks but the chicken tenders are very different, not your standard nuggets. All of the sauces are specially made by the owner; definitely try the Brussels sprouts. Homemade soups made by owner Denise are really good. This is not your typical bar food restaurant, so relax and enjoy your meal; you may even get a chance to talk to one of the owners. I love it when they come out and talk to customers. Ask them about their parents and the story of how the name of the restaurant was established.

I've been there several times. The food is always DELICIOUS!

We ordered here several times during covid and im mad it took us this long to show up in person. Take out was always very good but eat in was even better. Shaler residents should all be supporting this place. The owner clearly cares and stands behind everything that comes out of his kitchen. He and his waitstaff are all very friendly and personable. That parking lot should be packed every night. Highly recommend.

Our local dive that we love! Food is delicious and always fresh. Every person that works there is amazing (shout out to JLinn, Shay, Dave, Benze and everyone in the kitchen!). Chicken tenders, fried pickles and their burgers are just a few of our favorites - oh and I can't forget the delicious steaks!!!!!!!

Very nice experience here. I ordered cheese tortellini w/ pink vodka sauce and shrimp. Also a cup of wedding soup.. everything was delicious. Service was very accommodating and friendly.

Very nice restaurant with very kind staff! My food was delicious! Hot and fresh! Prices are a little high for burger type food but I understand why! BGS is still a good spot! Definitely my new #1 place to grab a bite from a local mom & pop business!

Well for the most part it was definitely delicious food nice and hot, service was great considering we was press for time no fault to the server he was very understanding of our time constraints so he pushed out food and it was still good we just didn't have time to enjoy all of it. But we will definitely be back with no rush but here.
