We love their super fresh raspberry bismarks, and the kids enjoy the delicious & tasty donut holes. Wonderful staff, patient and pleasant and always a joy to stop in for some tasty treats. Highly recommend whenever we visit the Portland headlight.

I was just overcharged for two sugar cookies and a Bismarck. How did that come to $12.18? Double checked the prices on their website. $2.79x2 & 3.89 plus food tax. I’m all set. Pay attention and beware, first time this happened I thought it was a mistake and second time I paid attention.

Oh my goodness, sooo good! I needed to use the restroom and I never turn down a good pastry and I had my eye on this place earlier when we drove by. Came back and got a few items that we totally meant to take with us but....yeah, it never made it out of the restaurant. They also have tons of tasty coffee! Get the blueberry! Friendly workers too.

Maple glazed yeast, glazed yeast, and chocolate cake donuts. The maple glazed and regular glazed were both delicious. The maple had a good amount of maple flavor and the donut was light and fluffy. The yeast was light and fluffy as well but I thought it could've used more glaze. The chocolate cake donut was thrown away. It was dry and lacked any chocolate flavor. We'd come back for yeast donuts.

So grateful for this place! Not only are their butter crunch donuts *the best* any day of the week, but I recently ordered a birthday cake and cupcakes for my daughter's 1st birthday. The team was communicative, the turnaround was quick, and the cake was gorgeous and delicious. New go-to for event needs!

This place is a little known Treasure. That's a Good thing!! More of EVERYTHING for me!! Love it. 2 generations of my family have gone here on a regular basis. Now 3 generations do! And will continue to as well.

Every option under the sun, everything delicious!

So many delicious baked goods and types of Coffee by Design coffee freshly brewed! They sell cake and yeast donuts, cream horns, bagels, and more. While everything is good (we tried the cream horns and apple fritters, which were pretty tasty), their standout item is the jelly donut. They offer them with several fillings, including cream, lemon, maple cream, and raspberry jam, and they are HUGE. The maple cream was so good and the perfect sweet, fall treat! Can't wait to visit again!

My personal favorite bakery. Anytime I'm in town, I go for a lobster sugar cookie but everything is good.

Have never been there in person, so I don't know any of the logistics of the location. A friend brought us a lovely variety of donuts, cookies, and pastries. Everything was good but the best thing was of course the name of the shop... the COOKIES!!! There was a double chocolate chip, m&m, sugar, and oatmeal raisin cookies. All good within their own way it was hard to pick a favorite.

I don't think there's ever been a sweet treat I haven't loved from here! I recently ordered my first cake, a carrot cake, and that, too, was so delicious. Very pleased with the service I received...met my expectations all the way around!

Don't stand in line like they do in Portland. Come here and get better donuts without all the hype.

Tried donuts for the first time here today. They are hands down the best I've ever had! An absolute showstopper. I will definitely be getting donuts here from now on.

Ordered and picked up cupcakes for Easter . Very busy due to Holiday weekend. Friendly service but people with pre-order items were grouped with regular customers in the same long line. Maybe they were short staffed or this is how it is always done. I waited awhile in line only to find out that items were not ready. Very nice bakery and worth the visit !

The Cookie Jar made an amazing birthday cake for a kids birthday this weekend, with very short notice and while they were short staffed. Often, parents will ask where we got a cake but I have never heard a bunch of little kids ask until today. I had a handful of kids ask my daughter where we got our cake. Also, they were asking for seconds before they even got half way through their first piece. I planned to take a picture before I posted this review but the kids descended on the cake like it was the last cake on earth. It was amazing. I highly recommend the Cookie Jar. You won't be disappointed.

I have ordered several cakes for special occasions in the past year. Each time, guests rave about how wonderful the cakes look and taste. The cakes and the icing are by far the best tasting bakery cakes I've ever eaten and are less expensive than some other high profile bakeries. If you're a calorie counter, rest assured a piece of this cake will be worth every one.

Good cookies and pastries. Prices more geared to the wealthier Cape Elizabeth crowd. Still a real treat though and childhood memory

We used to get donuts every week at work from the Cookie Jar. My favorites are the plain and chocolate toasted coconut donuts. The cupcakes and cookies are a little too sweet for me, but nice every once in a while. They have several different types of coffee, all Coffee by Design. It is a decent brand. I prefer the darker roasts like Black Thunder. Not many places carry that many options. I have had many pieces of their birthday cakes over the years. I prefer them to grocery store bought cakes, but I also bake a lot at home. If you don't have the time, or skills, they are a great option for ordering cakes or other desserts.

Best donuts and crullers on the planet and that's no exaggeration, but for a second I thought the woman behind the counter was going to rip the box out of my hand and yell "no crullers for you" Next!!!!!!!!! Keep that in mind when entering, she's a crotchety one for sure!
