THERES SO MANY PUPPIES Absolutely killer atmosphere, fun staff and tons of rooms for pups to play. They have a lot of themed nights for the pups and an area for people who need a break from the doggo chaos

Extremely unpleasant experience every time I visit there. Not only the music is extremely loud (and bad taste as well), not allowing me to talk to people around me, the Dog Bar itself feels really chaotic. Every time I visit this place I feel like I am throwing my dog inside of some UFC dog fight. My friend next to me that visit there often comes and say “watch out for this dog, and that dog, and this dog…” because they just keep teasing and annoying my dog, trying to get into fights. If your dog isn’t friendly then first of all you need to train it, and you should not take him to public places and dog parks/bars. I often take my dog to dog parks and dog beaches and I have never felt this overwhelming and worried about my dog before. While I am trying to walk away, I put the leash on my dog and instantly 6-9 of them start jumping on my dog, not allowing me to even get out of there, while I listen the staff giving me a hard time saying “some dogs are leash reactive” (which means they will try to fight your dog if they are on a leash). I’m sorry but I have never heard that b…s before in my life. I have owned dogs for over 20 years and I have never heard of not being allowed for my dog to not be on a leash. How about to train your dog to respect and not attack others? A place that supposedly should be fun and relaxing, you get there and you can only feel stressed out. Can’t even socialize or get to talk to other people because you gotta make sure your dog doesn’t get attacked. I have brought once another small dog that is always very friendly as well and sweet, and the two times I have taken her there to the Dog Bar I wasn’t able to have her on the floor, because she was praying for her life. I have no idea how this business has any high reviews. Do yourself a favor and simply take your dog to a regular dog park or dog beach, plus you won’t need to waste $7 paying to enter. FYI they also don’t offer food , they only sell alcohol.

Absolutely love this place! Such a great atmosphere, and seems to attract the most happy, friendly people (and pups, of course!).

This place is like free therapy! Also, the staff is wonderful. My mom got overheated and several of them rushed over with ice and water and asked if there was anything I could do to help. Such kind and caring people here!

Best place in town for dog owners!

We drive our boys an hour to get there, Dog Bar is their favorite place! We so appreciate the amazing staff & the great woofaree Suz! She does an great job keeping order and caring for all the dogs!

I haven't been. I left a message asking about are there any air conditioned areas to be with the dogs and haven't heard back for a few days now. It looks like it might be a lot of fun. But it's quite a drive for me. Once I go I'll be able to tell you about the experience In once I hear from someone I will upgrade my. Rating. It would be great if there was a search function for pets. O k, because when i'm searching I get a lot of things but say pet's not okay. I did find a place, Fuzzies, which is less than half mile from me. Where my chihuahua mixes are allowed so I will be going there first. I was able to call them and they answered the phone and answered the question. I've been in customer care my whole life. And I think it is intelligent and professional to return phone calls and answer your customers questions.

Fun bar with a separated dog park. Staff are fun and cheerful. A great place to grab a drink. Check out the trivia there on Mondays. Josh has a great show!

I want to give a huge shout-out to Dog Bar! We've been members for years, and I always love the vibes. Recently, my dog got his ear nipped and it started bleeding. Although it wasn't a major injury, ears do tend to bleed a lot. I was incredibly impressed with how the bartender handled the situation. He skillfully patched up my dog's ear, and then the owner came over to check on him and even gave him a pup cup. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture!

Our puppies Loki and Daisy absolutely love this place. They get to socialize with other dogs in a safe environment. And they have pools of ice that the dogs love to lay in. Great place. Love it!

Always a good time. Dogs... Dogs... Dogs!!!!

Paid my $7, stayed less than 10 minutes before leaving... Brought my super dog friendly border collie for the first time last weekend. 1 dog in particular kept following and would not leave her alone. He mounted her once, i shooshed him away with a harsh NO! We walked further away towards the side of the off leash area away from the entrance. He mounted her again, so I shoved him off saying NO! He snarled and growled at me like he may try to bite, before retreating... We walked to the farthest end away from everyone, to avoid that dog, and when he re-approached I asked my dog up onto the bench to deter him. He followed and mounted her for the THIRD time before i shoved him away. No owner was in site the entire time, and no employee "dog police" with their squirt bottles. I leashed my girl so i could make sure she wouldn't run too far from me in case he tried to mount her again, i wanted to be in range to separate them, plus we were slowly going to make our way out of this place. An employee came over and told me i had to unleash my dog because this was an off leash area... I argued, I get it, but that dog has mounted her 3x and nothing is being done about him or to his owners... She apologized and was friendly but what a joke of a place... Sure, SOME dogs are leash aggressive, but many are not.. Also, the 1 current issue at hand is not the leash, it is the dog mounting mine, so why are his owners not being talked to about it? I left and will obviously not be coming back.

Had just the best time at Dog Bar tonight! Incredible food truck out front (Go Stuff Urself), free bingo, affordable drinks, fans to keep you cool. What's not to love?!

NOT a safe place to bring a dog. Dogs all gather in a small, confined area smelling of urine, along with people sitting around drinking alcohol. And apparently the owners have not yet gathered how easily an incident could occur in an environment such as this. Within seconds of bringing in our dog in to try the place out, other dogs were aggressive to him and started chasing him around, nipping at him. We did not stick around to find out what happens next. No thanks. I would rather let my dog enjoy a nice, spacious dog park than a confined patch of urine for a $7 entry fee.

Love this place especially to take your fur baby too. Atmosphere is perfect and on a nice afternoon when it's not too hot, I say this is definitely the spot to go to.

Other dogs were well behaved, even though there where many. Food decent. Could be a bit cleaner, smells of dog urine.

I love this place!!! The staff are always friendly, especially our favorites Taylor and Corey!! The owner is usually there and the nicest person. All of the wooferees are very attentive and helpful. They have pretty much any drink you'd want to order, including my favorite Markerade! Tons of beers on tap and a full bar. There's always a good food truck out front and good people to hang with!!

We’ve been coming here weekly even prior to having our dog. This was the first dog bar we’ve ever been to and is hands down the best ! Now having a dog we go even more than before ! We love going and sharing the good vibes we have at the dog bar with our fur child. Can’t say enough good things about the place. The staff is friendly and attentive. The different themed parties and events they do are always a good time ! Our puppy loves being a social butterfly here and will continue to ◡̈

Best place ever. I literally moved from New Jersey when I found out the atmosphere this place has. I have met so many friends and I have been a member for more than 5 years. Is like a small community where everyone knows your name. They always have the best food trucks and drinks are amazing with a lot of drafts beers. Plus the bartenders are awesome. I rather come here and drink than to go downtown.

This will be one of my more heartfelt reviews. This year, I had to say farewell to my beloved dog of nearly 17 years. On a trip to St. Petersburg recently, we made the choice to go to the dog bar and simply hang out with a bunch of other locals and their pups. It was both cathartic and compersive (that is, taking joy in others joy) to see other dog owners with their various breeds of dogs. Other people were so understanding and so welcoming at the bar.

Seriously, what’s better than getting to love on other people’s friendly dogs? The bar is great, there’s always a food truck, and the doggies bring the fun and entertainment. Everyone is so friendly. It’s just a great place.

Great place for a drink and take your dog or watch the craziness

This place is literally one of my new favorite places to go. There are sooooooo many dogs. From very relaxed sit at your feet, to run around and trample everyone, to the I'm going to mosey at my own pace. Your dog will find their crowd and hang with them. Our dog is a big huge baby, and will lay down if anyone sniffs him wrong but here he doesn't. He really enjoys all the dogs and near the end of the night he enjoys laying around our feet after running a ton. They have cheap drinks, for downtown st pete, that are decently strong for the price. They have PLENTY of human seating for you, from benches, tables, high tops, bar seating and some low tables inside. Please realize that means the dogs can and will join you in your seating. They do have a food truck outside, it is listed on their website what it is and you can easily find the menu. It rotates and we have never had any issue with any of the ones we have tried. They do have staff with water bottles if a dog is out of hand, if that staff isn't present the water bottles still are. They have water dishes scattered around for the pups as well. It is definitely a DOG BAR so if your not used to going to a dog park, or any place with free roaming dogs then you are going to be upset. Which appears to be the case in some of the lower star reviews. This place is made for the dogs, humans are the second hand here.

Great place to experience with your dog and loved ones

This Is a unique and GREAT fun spot if you love doggies! Bring your pooch or just swing by and witness pure greatness as you can grab a drink and watch puppies of all ages play in a secured area. It's like walking into heaven. 100000% recommend for both locals and visitors alike. Such a great spot!

The Dog bar is a great place to meet dogs and people! Everything is done to make dogs and humans feel good there. The drinks are varied and they make very good cocktails. We were able to pet lots of dogs, it was great. The most important thing is that dog owners must remain responsible for their dog. If you have a dog that tends to bite or is unpleasant around other dogs, start by addressing it or keep him on a leash.

Such a nice moment, we came without dogs because we were on vacation. We loved meeting people, playing with dogs and drinking cocktails at the same time! Great atmosphere on site, I recommend 100%

Drinks are a bit pricy and they get pretty suspicious when you’re recently 21 but overall a great time

Service was really great. Very friendly staff. But it was a bit crowded for me space wise but again I am not their main client; the dogs are and they liked the crowd just fine.

Came here the first time and was told my dog could not go into the leashless zone because he was not neutered. Not a problem. We had a great time on the leash in the main bar area. The owner talked to me about his Great Danes and everything was great. I just came back tonight and was initially told that my dog could not come in at all from the guy at the front. I asked him if the policy had changed because we just wanted to stay on the leash in the main bar area again. He said to ask the bartender. The bartender told me the dog was ok to come in but not go into the leashless zone. Perfectly fine. Next thing I know another bartender says my dog is again not allowed in there at all. I stated that he was a registered service animal and for him to call his boss to clarify their policy. He then asked me to see the paperwork on the service animal and spoke to me as if I were a child saying calling his boss would not do anything. This could be a legal issue. Will look into it.

It's one of the first dog bars and absolutely the best!

We heard about this place and wanted to take our dog so that she could play with other dog. First off I was very surprised that they let all dog sizes mingle with each other. But tried to make sure that the aggressive behavior dogs stayed tame. They also made sure that the areas remained clean. My biggest issue was that when we were getting ready to leave my husband bent down to put the leash on our dog and a Great Dane attacked him and bite the side of his head and ear. The owner of the dog was very nonchalant about the incident and even with a ton of slobber on his head and red welts his was in disbelief that his dog did anything. We addressed the issue with the owner of the bar and although he apologized he did nothing because the owner of the dog was a regular. He did not have the dog removed instead he went and sat with the guy talking and laughing. I understand this guy may be a regular but my husband was attacked by his dog and nothing was done to correct this. Instead as I stood in line to pay our tab I watched the dog continue to run around and the owner continue to sit and talk as if nothing ever happened. Needless to say we will not be returning because how could the owner not care about the ppl that frequent his establishment but care more that he wanted to keep his regular happy. I just pray that no one gets hurt by this Great Dane.

Stopped in for an afternoon drink. Great location with some inside seating and outdoor seating. We didn't have dogs with us, but enjoyed the ones that came over to us for some love. Met the owner, and he was very friendly. Definitely a great place to spend some time surrounded by unconditional loving dogs.

Great place but maybe a couple more TVs outside 🤔. . . Love the info screen next to the Bar/fence!!! But slow it down, just a hair... Another INFO board over the Absolute next to vent,could work also my friend..... BESTEST DOGBAR EVER! ! !

Had an amazingggg experience at the dog bar for my dogs gotcha day! We loved the side area that we rented out (I hadn't been before so had no idea what it would be like!!). All of the staff was fantastic and so helpful and kind. Literally best party ever! Thank you dog bar!

Stopped in close to closing time. Only saw one dog lol. The place is super cool. The bartender was very nice, talked to us for quite a bit end though it was closing time. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

If you like the puppies, you probably are going to like dog bar. This place is set up a bit as a dive, but they have an excellent beer selection. The bartenders are super friendly. There are dogs everywhere. Watch your drinks on the tables, because you might have a dog or two join you there. They usually have food trucks every day.

LOVE this place!! Such a fun concept. Enjoy going during the day/early evening. Noticed at night people get more buzzed and pay less attention to their dogs. Our pups really enjoyed the ice baths. They had a blast meeting and playing with so many other dogs. We loved the drinks, the people, and the food truck - so fun!

Came here on a whim on our anniversary with our dog. Incredibly friendly staff, locals, and dogs. The whole bar is dog friendly and the fenced in area is great for your dogs to play. Drink prices are good too.

A St Pete stable! Super fun all nights and days of the week. I always get a Marg or Mocktail here and it’s very yummy. Nice fun chill environment to come hangout and play with dogs! One of the most unique spots I have ever been too! Worth checking out and lots of amazing food options next door. Go to casita taqueria close by for some amazing tacos.

Not a very clean place. Dogs were peeing all over benches and pooping often with nobody cleaning it up. Only one worker walking around and it was way too much for her. The drinks were good but $27 for 3 small drinks is tough. The dog bar in Sarasota is amazing compared to this, they are so clean and have great food in house!

Cool bar for people and their puppies

I’ve tried calling this place for two weeks and no one answers the phone.. I called from a different phone thinking maybe it’s my phone service and at different times of the day and no answer. Voicemail is also full so I can’t leave a message.

Such a great idea! Normally they have a food truck outside which rotates. So check their website if you are interested in food. Bar has an area for dogs where they run around off leash and a separate area.

They had a food truck there that served Mofungo and empanadas that was fabulous. Best empanadas I've ever had.

If you're a dog person, this is your place. The dogs get to run around and play with the other dogs. It was one of the coolest bars I've ever been to. We would highly recommend this place whether you have a dog or not.

It was fun. Lots of dogs. If one does not like dogs they should not go nor work there. It was a fun time but not for a long time adventure. 5 stars though all the way!

Surprisingly not just for dogs. Has great vibes. You quickly get accustomed to the weird diaper smell and don't even notice it after a little while.

Been going here for a couple of years, our dog loves it and we love it too as it caters both humans and doggies 🤣 local owner who loves dogs and it's always around with his beautiful Great Dane. Oh amd they also have different food trucks parked out front if you get hungry.

Great place to drink and chill with your dog. Only thing is that the dog referees are getting more and more strict about dog play. So, more of a place for chill dogs and not puppies. Our puppy plays really well with others, but she also likes to run and chase. So, it can get a bit rowdy and other dog owners complain. Definitely a dog park situation. Just a dog bar.

Great BYOF, a great bar and bar tenders, lots of friendly dogs. We shared tables with people you don't know but you feel like family before you leave. A must if you are a dog owner. Even areas for dogs with anxiety.

Really cool concept for a bar. Lots of dogs and pet lovers! You can imagine there is a bit of an odour to the place, but the atmosphere makes up for it! The staff are very friendly too.

You go here for your dogs and the atmosphere. My wife and I took our dog for her 2nd Birthday. We are from out of town, but would go back. The food is a food truck. Idk if it changes or is the same food truck, but it was good. It was a bit expensive for a food truck. A nice concept. I'd open on where I live.
