The food is good but pricey. We felt rushed to leave as soon as we finished eating, and it was a Tuesday evening!

Boudain balls with pepper jack were tops. So were the Boudain egg rolls.

OMG the crawfish poboy is amazing, so is the plain and pepper jack boudin balls. Drove from Hammond la to try and wasn't disappointed at all

We eat at here very frequently and it is ALWAYS consistent with great food, friendly service and fair prices!!! Stop in and check it out and you will not be disappointed.

Not what it used to be when it opened. The ribs are never fully cooked, the chicken wings were bloody ( put in air fryer when i got home for additional cooking), boudin balls are greasy and heavy, brisket egg rolls were stale. The girls that work the registers are a different story & not good. I drove from Zachary & I wasted every penny of my $31.00

The brisket sandwich was delicious! It had lots of meat on there and it was super tender! The staff was also very friendly and fast.

The brisket didn’t have a ounce of seasoning and was overcooked their barbecue sauce isn’t that good either

Good food. Tables are not clean but this is normally in USA on this type of restaurants.

I didn't have high expectations since Louisiana isn't known for BBQ. And being a Texas native, it is interesting to see how different states make their own twist on it. When I stepped into the smokehouse, I love the decor. The employees were really nice. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato waffle fries. My boyfriend ordered the brisket sandwich with corn pudding and baked beans. BBQ is expensive. When it's done properly, there's no regret on the purchase! Bread was soft, bacon wasn't overcooked, and the hamburger patty was juicy. I love those fries! Hot and fresh. I took a bite out of the brisket sandwich. It melts in your mouth! Housemade sauce had a balance of sweetness and a little kick at the end (not too overpowering) Almost wished this place was close by, it's that good!

This place could be great. They never had the freezer stocked. It's always half empty every time I go. I really want to like this place but im disappointed everyrime I go.

As KCBS Judge, probably the best BBQ in Louisiana if not the Deep South. A Must Q Do!!

Stopped by to grab snacks & frozen meat for a later meal. Nice atmosphere & friendly service. Highly recommended the bondin balls, crawfish meat pies, and the blueberry duck sausage from the frozen section. The flavor of the sausage on the grill is perfection.

This place gives you the home feel.

I normally get the meat by the pound Brisket and pulled pork shock are always excellent. However the pepperjack bodily balls are the best! Seating is somewhat limited you order at the counter and they call your number when your food is ready.

Gave me severe heartburn. A bit too spicy for me. I had boudain balls. Good stuff just need Tums after. Will take Tums before WHEN I RETURN. Living in Louisiana it's hard to get away from the spicy food. 😀😃🙂

Chicken Livers!!! My personal favorite. I've been going for a few years and never disappointed. The frozen pizza and any frozen concoctions are fabulous.

Fried chicken tenders are always excellent here. It’s a whole lot of food for the money too- I had just done a 10 mile hike and burned 1600 calories, so suffice to say I was ravenous. The 4 pc chicken filled me up. And I mean FULL, ladies and gents. Like, “Aw Lawd he comin”, full. Great food and good atmosphere, staff was warm and welcoming. Always glad to come stuff myself here.

Rode up from Gonzales on the bikes ...Xcellent BBQ and smoked wings ...p-salad is very good as was the bake beans ...well worth the ride but we do this about once a month... standing room only on week day for lunch ...Xcellent..!!!

Awesome smoked plate lunches. I had the 1/2 smoked chicken , baked beans and potatoe salad and my wife had the half smoked ribs and this was an amazing lunch!! Myself and my wife planned on returning to enjoy another awesome meal!! And the BBQ sauce was very delicious!!

Pulled pork plate. Good taste. However, the meat was a little on the cool side. It was definitely not hot.

I tried the pulled pork and coleslaw. It didn't disappoint, I'll be coming back here often.

Great terrific tasting food at this smokehouse, located in St. Francisville, LA. With a large menu, daily specials, and frozen specialty meats & pizzas to go... you're sure to find something absolutely delicious to graze on from here. I'll be returning anytime I'm nearby and would recommend any and all make the stop in!

We were on our way back to north Louisiana and pulled over for a quick bite. The place had a few customers sitting outside on the porch and people coming and going consistently for take out, that’s always a good sign. I ordered a boudin ball with cheese and after I finished it I wished I had gotten 2-3 more. So so good. The company I was with got the pulled porch sandwich and it looked great as well. I love that they give you the bbq sauce on the side and not already on the sandwich. This will definitely be a new regular stop when headed down south.

Decent boudin. Pulled pork is ok. I tried 2 hamburgers the other day. It took 45 minutes to get them. The buns were good, the patties were overcooked to the point that the outsides were charred and the insides were totally dried out. The bacon was of good quality but also over cooked. The cheese was baked on so long that it was dried out and hard. The lettuce and the tomato were wilted so badly that they seemed to have been cut a long time before. Given the price I would have expected better. The onion was about 3/4 of an inch thick. The seasoned french fries were cold and leathery, even though I ate them immediately. The pork and beans were better than many other places I've been but tasted like "Showboat" canned beans that had been well doctored. The Milky Way pie, which they comped me because they took so long, was good. The second hamburger was also incorrectly dressed, (they forgot the onions and added pickles) in addition to being way over done. Will I go back? Probably not, fast food places are cheaper, faster, and not as dry. For me, not worth the price or the wait.

I really enjoy eating at the Francis. The service is always excellent and I always enjoy the food. Definitely a great place to go during Crawfish season but their other food is always delicious. These pictures are from our most recent visit.

Best bbq I've had in a very long time. The sides are amazing coleslaw and corn pudding were amazing.

The brisket was very tender. In my opinion it need a little more seasoning.

I was not happy, I ordered Two Ribeye Poboys with Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was cold, the ribeye meat was so salty that my guest and I could not eat it. I reported it to person that had taken my order. "She said she would let them know"..I waited for 15 minutes and asked for a manager...finally another person offered to redo the order or give me my money back. I chose to get my money back. This has not been my experience with them in the past. I had made a point to drive up to the Francis Smokehouse from Baton Rouge to eat here. I am not sure that I will return or refer anyone else to eat here!

First time here just got a brisket sandwich with french fries and a Boudin ball. Most everyone that I know likes french fries that are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. These french fries were soggy all the way through soaked in grease and flappy.The Boudin ball had a good texture to it but it had zero flavor, bland as could be. The brisket sandwich was banging. Probably some of the best brisket I’ve ever had. Any time that I happen to be in the area I will stop and get the brisket.

Great service, great food! Had a handful of crackling to start, then ate the bacon cheeseburger with fries. Everything was fresh and delicious! Very nice place!

My wife I drove for an hour to eat here , oh the food was okay , but my word that may be the loudest place I have ever eaten in and the chairs were like sitting on a log ! it was too cold to go out to the patio so we hurried ourselves along before the crowd got larger and louder , we will try again in late spring and sit outside !

Cashier was welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious. I had the pulled pork salad. Fresh veggies and a very large portion of pork. My friend had the brisket plate. Meat was tasty and tender. The sides of potato salad and baked beans were yummy.
