I enjoyed my breakfast which was a bacon and cheese omelette with hash brown potatoes and a biscuit. I had to ask for a take out box to take half of my meal home because the portion was large. They serve excellent sized meals. You won’t be disappointed visiting this restaurant.

Have lived 5 minutes away from this place for years and first visit this morning. We found this place off of our local community site with someone asking about recommendations for breakfast. This place came up numerous times with great reviews. We went this morning and had a great time. Maria was our primary server and did an amazing job. The food was great and in big portions. We sat outside where we had the opportunity to watch planes take off and land and taxi out. Was an awesome setting with a great atmosphere. Will Absolutely come back again with more family members. Can't eat their food without stomach distress. But stop by to get a cold drink. Diet coke needed some calibration. Too much soda water needed more diet Coke syrup. Wish they had other diet drinks. Diabetics always suffer with lack of options. bj

We asked if the Chorizo was spicy & was told it wasn't but it was indeed very spicy & my husband can't eat spicy food. And it was a bit on the expensive side as well.

Long black hair in my husband's potatoes. I saw the same feedback in other reviews. Sounds like its time for a department of health visit. The waitresses were super nice though, but food quality is trash.

The happy hanger has become a place where my family and I love to visit. My nephew especially fond of watching the planes take off and land as he eats his food. The service is wonderful, the staff are friendly and very affable. The food is delicious, classic American Diner Style food. Highly recommend the breakfast menu and eating on the patio if it is not too hot.

I don’t want to watch the news with a relaxing breakfast. Was great until someone turned on a ranting anchor talking about politics (again). The food was yummy and coffee good. Prices great.

Very nice, simple American atmosphere, right on a sports aviation site.

A must stop!! Drive through a neighborhood of hangar houses to a café on a private airstrip to dine outside at the picnic tables on the porch, watching small aircraft take off and land. Our waitress was the happiest, most bubbly girl who absolutely loved our dog! Bring the kids and pets but come early; they get very busy, very quickly, even on weekdays. When you visit, you'll see why! ✈️

Loved Loved Loved! Found while traveling north on 75, thanks to Google maps. You can sit outside, eat, and watch the planes come and go. The food was FANTASTIC and the service was IMPECCABLE. Family and I loved it! You can't go wrong stopping by here.

Great food. Good prices. The plates serve has very good portion. The menu has a lot of different options. The serve breakfast, brunch and lunch. I love to bring my kids here as they have the opportunity to see some planes and take photos as well. The employees are very nice. The only thing that I see that can improve is the coffee, it should be more strong.

Great food. Very fresh. Waitress was very good for our table of 12. Variety of menu options. Daily specials were very good. Everyone felt it was better than most of the normal restaurants plus was nice to watch the planes driving around.

We finally found the Happy Hanger and it was well worth the hunt….our breakfasts were excellent and the cinnamon rolls were delicious…Debbie provided us smiles and great service truly made us feel welcomed we highly recommend!!!

Joe makes the best burgers. We went with you g kids and they loved seeing the small planes take off. Great services by Stephanie!

This place is awesome. Tons of planes all around, right off the runway. Great food, great atmosphere. They had turkey sausage as a replacement for pork sausage because I can't eat pork. It wasn't busy at all on a Friday morning at 7AM.

The cook Joe really knows how make the food taste fantastic! Steph was pleasant and a great server and knows her stuff. She loves her job.

Enjoyed our meals (3 adults. 3 kids) & service from Stephanie. Kids had pancakes, bacon, eggs. Adults had chef salad with homemade Greek dressing, & grilled chicken sandwich with fries. We will be back!

Food was average had to wait forever to get my breakfast got my French toast with bacon, french toast was cold seemed like they were a little shorthanded.

I just moved to Tampa a month ago and so far this is one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in the area! The servers were personable and friendly. The food was really good, especially their home cut fries. The fountain drinks were well mixed and ice cold. The atmosphere is super unique because it is literally in the middle of a small airport where you can see planes taking off and landing as you go in. I’d highly recommend this place if you want something a little off the beaten path.

For lovers of classic aviation and typical North American food, I recommend this place with my eyes closed, incredible food and atmosphere

This has been on my to do list since we moved from PA. Airports, hangers, flights and awesome food. This place is by far on my favorite list now. Anytime I’m heading to Tampa from Ridge Manor, this must be my stop. Feels like we are @PMRA Mt. Pocono PA. Thanks for a great experience and amazing meal.

As a lover of all things flight and pilot related, I'm a bit biased. But this really is a cool spot, especially if your kids love planes. Breakfast was a good, typical food. But the biscuits and jam. Holy bananas. You can tell they are made with love. The atmosphere is amazing and you can watch the single engines taking off or landing. They even offer discovery flights. Def recommend this spot!

Adriana is super helpful and really quick at cleaning off the tables. She’s very knowledgeable of everything to do with the restaurant. She needs to be promoted yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!

We love coming to The Happy Hanger. The food at breakfast and lunch is delicious with a very clean, fresh flavor. You can sit inside or outside. The servers are cheerful and helpful. This is a hidden gem.

Phenomenal breakfast. Farm fresh eggs made to order, homemade corn beef hash and a killer cinnamon bun! Great service, too. Stephanie was awesome, making sure everything was perfect!

What a great and different type of restaurant location! Breakfast at an airport. We went with a group of 17 for breakfast and sat outside on the porch with a view of the ramp and runway. Maria took great care of our group and several other tables. The food was delicious and came out quickly, even with the size of our group. Everyone's check was correct and efficiently taken care of. There was a good bit of flight traffic for a Sunday morning and a doe playing around at the far end of the runway. After breakfast we took a close look at the Happy Hangar Stearman and were invited to look around in the hangar. Great location and great service!

The was my first time to visit. I brought my parents who were in town and all of us had great meals. The services from Steph was exceptional!

Best view of any restaurant Land O lakes/Wesley Chapel/Lutz. Great homestyle breakfast options, bomb burgers, and killer onion rings. The view of the active runway is thrill for kids of all ages, all while you enjoy your meal on the balcony. So cool to see other patrons just take off in their small plane after eating. We are repeat customers and bring visitors to see our cool lol hideaway gem of a restaurant. Great staff, great food, great view, what more could you ask for.

Hidden Gem of Tampa Bay! Experience the unique experience of getting breakfast or lunch while watching planes arrive and take off! The food is also incredible! Try the breakfast burrito or the breakfast Cuban! I highly recommend this place!

Huge Trump 2022 signs on both sides of the restaurant. So anywhere you sit, you are staring one. The service was great, the food mediocre. I guess they have a captive audience from the airport.

If you’re swinging through the state be sure to find this place and ask for Steph! Right in a tiny airfield, you can watch the planes take off and land while enjoying comforting classics. Our waitress was SO sweet and ready with great recommendations that elevated our entire meal! We’ll be sure to be back <3

The staff and the owner need to get on the same page! Our food ticket was lost and multiple tables got food before us, then my food comes out wrong. The owner graciously offered to take it off my bill because I wasn’t going to eat it, I appreciated that. Our server than offers me a box to take it home, she said she understood I wasn’t going to eat it but maybe my husband or the dog could, I accepted because it was a nice gesture. Unknown to me that because I accepted said box, I now had to pay for the wrong food. Overall the experience was poor, I have had multiple great experiences there but the last two times have been rather horrible. We unfortunately won’t be back. Don’t offer to take off my food, then let me be told I could take it home for the dog and then be charged. I should have left it, box and all, however my dog will now be happy, guess that’s the only positive.

Really good food! Stephanie was my server and she was great, very friendly and efficient! I really like that the cafe is right on the runway so you can watch the airplanes take off. I unfortunately didn't get to see any because they weren't flying while I was there, but I will be back. Really good prices too.
