Stopped for a quick appetizer and drinks. Waffle fries were perfect. Great service with a good beer selection. Good TV set up in the bar to keep up on the games. Definitely worth the stop.

Great place and really cool bar. My steak sandwich was ordered medium rare and it was perfect. Highly recommend the homemade chips… and don’t forget to ask for homemade dip!!!

Absolute best wedge salad I have ever had!!!

Went for after-dinner drinks, they were delicious. Went back the next night for pizza because it looked so good. It did not disappoint.

Oh my gosh, do yourself a favor and go, they care so much about their food. I mean everything was exceptional. I had the side salad and I know this sounds stupid about a salad, but it’s phenomenal. Get it and then the fish fry is just tremendous food, and nice people. AwESOME baked beans and home made potato chips!!!

A friend and I never been here and heard good things so we decided to make the trip to try it out. We got a table right away, the owner was bussing tables and cleared one for us. We ordered prime rib and it was very good, the duck wontons were great too. We also ordered some signature drinks that were good and you keep the cup. The owner stopped by our table to make sure everything was OK and was very kind. We will come back for sure!

What a hidden gem for the Eagle River area! There is a well-rounded menu with something for everyone. From burgers to pizzas to steaks, if you walk away hungry, its your own fault!

This was our first time at The Hideout!! We met Rene, she is one of the Owners. She is so happy and sweet. Liz was our server and she did a great job... Very attentive and friendly. The food was great and reasonably priced. If you haven't tried it, your missing a great gem in the area . Great people and great food. Try it today and tell them that Steve and Emily sent you.

I wish we could have caught the owner who seated us on the way out the door. Our meals were amazing! We had the ahi tuni and combo fish platter. It is so nice to eat real food with real ingredients all while having the staff on top of everything AND friendly. We hope to return on our next trip!

Very good food! The owner stopped by our table after our meal very friendly and professional. One of the best bar/ restaurants I’ve been do in a while. Definitely will be back to try more off the menu.

Good northwoods pizza was ready on time and served piping hot

Ordered 4 fish frys and a side of cheese curds for takeout. The fish and the side of chips were fantastic! There baked beans are some of the best I've had, sweet and full of bacon. The only downside was the coleslaw and cheesecurds. The coleslaw was very bland, no flavor at all, the cheese curds were also bland and not crunchy. Overall, I would recommend and eat here again!

Great specialty drinks, pizzas have all been great, ahi tuna was good, the wings are delicious (and the hot sauce is actually hot), and the burgers are good too!

This place is very interesting. The decor is all about gangsters from the prohibition era. The food was very good as was the service from our server. The only complaint that I had was that it took just over 45 minutes for us to get 2 pizzas and it wasn't busy. Otherwise it's a great place and I will definitely go back again.😁

We ordered carry-out over the phone, and the pizza was ready when we picked it up. The service on the phone was very good, and they told me the pizza would be ready in 35 minutes. Which was perfect. I am a thin crust Chicago Tavern Pizza fan, where I like a 'well done' crust. I asked the very nice lady over the phone if they could make sure the crust is crispy, and she knew exactly what I was talking about and said, yeah - sure. The pizza was phenomenal. It was definitely a thin crust Chicago Tavern Pizza. My wife and I ate the whole pizza in 10 minutes. We are VERY happy in Eagle River right now. We did carry-out, but the restaurant was busy for being 4:45pm on a week night, the inside looked very nice, the food on the tables in the dining area looked delicious, and the service was fast. The pizza cost was very reasonable. They don't take checks, but do take credit cards.

We were up in Eagle River from Milwaukee for a long weekend and The Heid Out was right down the street from our condo, so we gave it a shot! We tried to do a carry out order online, but the website said they were closed (which we knew wasn't true because there were a ton of cars outside). We called to place the order instead, and there was a bit of a back and forth with the person who answered about needing to use the online system, but eventually they agreed to take our order over the phone. Not a big deal, just kind of a weird situation. Once we got there to pick it up, the staff was super friendly, and the owner introduced herself to us and thanked us for our business. The food was ready quickly, and she even helped us out the door with it as we had a good amount of items. The food was delicious, from fish fry to a chicken sandwich (and the duck wontons which were EXCELLENT). Overall, definitely a good experience and somewhere we'll be returning to when we come back up in the Summer!

I went in here for the first time on a mom/son date tonight. The food was incredible, the best beer battered fish fry I’ve had. We had a blast and the service was great. I also really loved how genuine everyone was, including the owner. We will be back!

The staff was friendly. The owner introduced herself to us. My friend and I both ordered the chicken sandwich. His grilled, mine was deep fied. Both of us were happy with our meals.

Great pizza and excellent service

This is a fabulous place to eat! We have had numerous items here, I love the fish fry and pizza the best, but everything is very good. In my opinion, their pizza in the best in the Northwoods!! The service is always excellent, and the atmosphere is the same. Their pricing is reasonable, and serving sizes are large, so make sure to come hungry. I would highly recommend the Heid Out to anyone!

The Heid Out has a friendly staff and great food. I had the Fisherman's BLT. The bar is speak easy inspired. They serve a good old fashion.The dining area is more private and cozy. Loved everything about it! I will be back!

Cod was average. Service was good. Tipping options were 30, 25, 20 and custom (in that order). I thought the descending tipping %'s was a bit disingenuous. I won't return.

Have dined in at least twice a month since they opened. Great staff and the owners are so welcoming and helpful! Haven’t missed yet with the food either! Pizza is 12 Pines recipe and it’s very good. Great steaks, burgers and apps. Huge shout out to Gabe who hustled his butt off all night with a huge smile on his face the whole night!

We were disappointed. We went on a busy Saturday night and they were out of two of the three items I wanted. The table next to us had the same issue with different items. The food we did get was just ok. The owner was friendly and Gabe was an excellent cheerful waiter. Though we did not order it, they do warn you that the homemade pizza takes 30 minutes to cook. The menu is very limited. We will not go back.

The Heidout is the bomb! Sometimes they run out of the special but that is only because you dont know how much to have. They are wonderful people and do their best. I am always pleased and the “experience” is what they are best at. Do t worry about reviews of they were out of this or that….. all restaurants go thru that. You want to come for the people and the fun. Great place!

Went here before a NAHL hockey game, so about 630 PM, just wanted a drink, service was good, bar area was slammed. Clearly this is a good sign, I didn't eat so I can't tell you how the food is. Tough place to drink when the bar is full, you are just kind of in the way with the wait staff and bathrooms in the small open space it was like frogger! Just beware when the parking lot is full, there isn't much room inside if you have a group of 5 or 6 like we did. Drinks were made well, that I will say! I will go back at some point to try the food!

We had the pizza which was awesome as usual. The homemade sausage is the best i have ever had. My only complaint was tonight the pizza it was short on sauce, but it was still great!

Good food, very busy when we were there the waiter was awesome and was hustling double time! Are only complaint was that it was a bit noisy.

Great little supper club - we got carry out twice over the weekend because our resort wasn't doing carry-out orders. The service was amazing, but they got the doneness wrong on three out of four entrees.

It has been a bit since I have experienced delicious food, wonderful drinks (and drink suggestions!), with fantastic service to boot! Owner introduced herself and helped clear tables and move food. Not only was the fish delicious, but the side of baked beans were homemade...what?! Service, including bartenders, outdid any of my expectations.

Came in for my birthday dinner for a fish fry and was thrilled at the quality of the food and the quick and friendly service! Ordered the ahi tuna which was a great alternative to the other fish dishes and delicious: the rest of my family ordered baked, fried and buffalo fish which all were just awesome! Homemade chips too! Thanks so much to Gabe who was super attentive to us even while he served the rest of the busy dining room! Looking forward to coming back for pizza or ribs on our next trip to Eagle River!

I went here with 15 of my coworkers and our server was outrageous. Constantly had a smile on his face and was super enthusiastic about his job. Overall great experience, great service and great food!

We stopped here and were pleasantly surprised at how nice of a place it is! Bartender was so friendly and accommodating to our little ones. Duck wontons were delicious as was the pizza we took home! Do yourself a favor and get the cookie ice cream drink, it was the best I’ve ever had!

Super friendly staff! Bar was very clean. Had a burger which was great. Wife had pretzel bites because there were no vegetarian options such as grilled cheese etc. Food came out very fast! I would stop here for a quick lunch if I worked nearby. We will be back!

We did take out pizza and it was EXCELLENT.. highly recommend the cheese bread too.

We came for the Friday Fish fry with the family. We were a little intimidated by how busy the parking lot was, but we were able to be seated right away! We had great service! They have a nice wine and beer menu. Our only complaint was how loud it was in the dining room, my parents had a hard time hearing us across the table. They do not have much options for vegetarian/vegan. We did bring our little guy, and would say they are pretty kid friendly!

The pizza is so good, tons of toppings and the gluten free cauliflower crust is amazing!

Just order a pizza. It was good, a little gummy on the crust. If you like softer crust then you'll be good. The server was awesome, he was very attentive.
