Hate to give a local place only three stars, but that's all I can do. The flavor is there but the ice cream has too many ice crystals in it to be considered good. Good luck making it, especially when you're not on the main strip.

Reasonable price, family friendly, and a cozy atmosphere with small booths, children's chairs, and a pew. Exceptionally good ice cream! I had the banana pudding and it tasted just like freshly homemade banana pudding, not that artificial stuff. Cash only, but they do have an ATM in the store.

My family actually visited this ice cream shop during the summer of 2022. It was fantastic! The service was excellent and patient with my crazy group of 10 that stopped in and the ice cream top notch. The best banana split I've had in years. It was so good we came back the next night and got the same thing. As we prepare for another trip to OIB in a few weeks, the whole family said we MUST make another visit or two to The Ice Cream Shoppe. Consider us regulars. Thanks.

Ice cream was good and the prices were reasonable. The only issue was the plastic spoons for the cups. It's so flimsy that you can barely get your ice cream out of the cup. Would definitely recommend this place but get a cone of some kind.

This will be our new ice cream stop, when we come to Sunset Beach every year. I got the Strawberry Cheesecake Sundae with strawberries and walnuts. It was so yummy. It was very clean and employees were very nice as well. The big pink ice cream outside made us want to stop by.

Wonderful! We have came here for 20 years on vacation and always stop in at this parlour. You just can't beat fresh ice cream and homemade cones!!! And the nuts were fantastic! Nothing like what we have in Ohio!!

They have good ice cream, I tried their orange pineapple ice cream, mmmmmmmm good..I also like their banana all is.

This is my and my family's all-time favorite ice cream at OIB! We vacation there each summer and this shop has to be visited more than once! My 3 year old literally knows the location and cries when we don't turn in that direction. LOL! The owner is incredibly nice! I highly recommend The Ice Cream Shoppe if you're in OIB!

The pic was after I had dug into the wonderful coconut almond ice cream. We were staying at OIB but decided to drive up and found this a lovely place. The servings are generous and the person that helped us was very nice. Everyone in my party loved their ice cream, the waffle cones had a hint of cinnamon...yum! A nice place to sit outside in the evening. Thank you for our vacation treat.
