This is one of our favorite places. The fried chicken is TO.DIE.FOR. The basket of biscuits is melt-in-your-mouth delicious and the service has always been good. The entertainment takes the cake, with skilled and talented people showcasing their musical ability.

The music, atmosphere, food and drinks were great! All I hated, was the flies. But the dance floor was great and I would go back again for sure.

The best Texas food, drinks, and music are definitely at The Kennt Store.

We rode out there from Houston. There were eight of us. Got sitted righ away. Drinks were brought up fast, followed by food. The food was good and hot. The service was excellent. the server made a few rounds, making sure we had what we needed. Picturesque place to visit and enjoy.

Husband's cuz band they r very talented bunch Cross roads. The green sauce chips were great, as our waitess was friendly and not pushy . Patio was ok, really not my cup of tea any longer the drinking scene. . But I would come bk for dinner again , the rustic atmosphere was nice. Thanks 😇

Pulled pork sliders were messy but excellent. We brought dogs so we sat out on the side porch. There’s a back porch for those with no pets involved. The inside is cute and rustic. A good stop.

We go here every year for my aunts birthday. The food is good and we love the live texas music. It’s a fun atmosphere and I don’t hesitate taking my kids w me.

Sweet place to stop by on a ride. Layed back atmosphere. Prices are up there but that is too be expected because of the location. The food is average but not bad.

The place is a must stop. Tony and Rita embody hospitality. When you walk into their establishment you are greeted by their outstanding staff. The store is well kept and well maintained. They have maintained the historic building and made it an incredibly community hub. You need to come here and see a show and get dinner! Food is fantastic and so incredibly reasonably priced. Cant say enough about the store and the people who make it great!!!

This place is one of the reasons why I still live in Texas. An absolute brightspot in this time of misery and pessimism... Keep doing what you do so well Kinney Store!!!

FYI - The menu is very limited on Saturday nights. We were with a larger party, and it seemed as if they squished our tables as close as they possibly could. It was too close for comfort. We moved outdoors after we were done eating.

Service was subpar, especially for most of the tables being empty. Atmosphere and decor are good, but live music was far too loud for the small space. Hard to have a conversation with the person next to you. Menu options have been reduced. Might eventually give them a third chance, but overall, not impressed the first two times I went there.

The food is amazing - best pulled pork I have had in a long time, and the atmosphere was fun, nastalgic, and friendly. Highly recommend!

This USED to be one of the best burgers in the STATE, sadly NOT NOW. Their incredible hamburger used to be juicy, with avocados, mushrooms, and a ton of extras, and there were 6 or 7 hamburger options. Today, the menu had 2, cheeseburger, or hamburger. Mine was over cooked, dry, and fries were wimpy. Sorry, this out of the way place is off the map for me.

Had lunch on a Saturday. Food was delicious, no crowds, great service. I understand the menu is new, I'll be surprised if as word gets out it doesn't become very popular.

This is a 6 star joint.. best kept secret in Texas. If you go, get the fried pickles. Hands down the best I've ever had.

Was excited to go here and gotta say I will not be going back ever again. Walk in, not greeted. Seat ourselves? Sit for ten minutes. Nobody comes over. We grab our own menus from the front. Have to go up and ask staff how we order? She was nice and all but clearly understaffed and a very unorganized place. We waited 1.5 hours for our food. Watched multiple other people arrive after us get served before us..eat and leave before our food even came out. Food was awful. Not even correct portions that were listed on the menu. Place needs more organization and better communication with customers. Our waitress was really really nice and I feel bad because I don't think it's her fault. But I will not be coming back.

Great spot just off the beaten path. Attentive owners and wait staff. Great burgers, catfish etc. Chips with green sauce was exceptional. Well worth finding if you're nearby.

Kenny store has really went downhill, terrible food, terrible customer service, most importantly the owner of Kenny store acts like a normal man who thinks he has the world under his name will never go back nor give them referral of a good place too eat, not too mention that this joint will cost you your house and vehicle monthly note.12/1/22.

Hate to do this, but this place has gone down. The quality of meat is not the same even with the price increase. Place is for sale so they are cutting corners everywhere. It's sad to see this place go after coming here for years and making a 40 minute drive to this place with my family. Will not be coming back. Kids no longer have a choice of getting chicken strips. But offer fried fish. Try telling that to a 5 year old.

They have a server Taylor she suck never came to are table to ask if we needed anything my daughter had to ask another server for stuff ..was talking to other servers on her phone. I had to yell out that I needed the bill. The worst server I have ever had I will never return.

As a frequent customer of the Kenney Store I was very disappointed this past Saturday while eating at TKS. The waitress was very rude and dismissive as she made no attempt to even do a mediocre job of being attentive and polite to her customers. The final straw was when she took what was left of my wife’s sandwich and threw it away without asking if she was finished or wanted to even take it home. They lost us as customers, and probably a few more, that day. Won’t be back!

We stopped in for brunch after Cowboy Church in Brenham. Food was awesome but even better was our waiter Cole. Amazing waiter! And an Aggie student! Ask for Cole ! He's amazing !

Always good food and atmosphere

Been here several times over the years. When we first went food was outstanding, had the steak and was awesome. Gone several times afterwards and was awesome. But now you can't get a steak, alot of things have been taken off the menu and the prices have gone thru the roof for what you get. Covid has changed things for sure. The waitress keep blaming everything on short of staff, and short of food. Was not the worst but probably won't be back for awhile, very disappointed compared to the way it was.

Cool place to hange out and listen to music. They have, food, beer, wine and mixed drinks. Will be back.

We got there 15 minutes before the kitchen would close and they were really nice. My daughter had a chicken quesadillas, which she liked and I had mozarella cheese sticks, which were huge and different, the waiter said kind of egg roll style. I loved them but I have to say my daughter didn't, but again, she's 11! Oh! And she is starting to pay attention to prices... She was surprised the price of her quesadilla was low since it was huge and delicious.

Looks like a fun place. Will go to an upcoming event.

The food was a little pricey but it was great. I had the Hamburger Steak with grilled onions and mashed potatoes and a salad. The salad doesn't usually go with it, it comes with green beans. I'm not a green bean person so I asked if I could get a salad. The salad was wonderful. The service was great we went for my nieces birthday. I will definitely go back again!!!!

Cassie our waitress Was awesome Checked on our table often to see if we needed anything after our food was deliver to table which was nice and hot, I am doing a low carb diet order a spinach artichoke burger no bun and green beans which they happily served to me. A must stop and dine spot in the area!

Great live band Saturday night standing room. Reserve tables but still was able to get a place to sit by sharing a table with another couple. Even though it was very busy the wait staff was good and we did not have to wait a long time for our food. Everyone was very nice
