Been going to the Lab since it first opened. They’re essential to the Tampa coffee scene. And probably the best coffee shop customer service in the Bay.

Can’t say enough good things about this spot. Feels tucked away and has great fare - I find myself going out of my way to grab a coffee here.

The place where they make cafe con leche (with condense milk) but it’s not really condense milk. How do I know this? Because I went today for my first time and I asked for 2 different coffees, one of them was really really bad so I asked kindly if we could add extra condense milk. The lady who was making the coffee corrected me like if I was asking for something crazy. And I apologize but cause I thought the condense milk cafe con leche came with condense milk. Might as well if u are charging a crazy amount for a trashy coffee at least get a real condense milk and better attitude. And on top of it she tells me to order it at the counter next time, followed up with a thanks from me, which she didn’t responded. This was my first and last time at that place. Attitude of her really made this place to look like the trash corner that it is. I’m happy to spread the word around to make sure the people that comes here are as trash as her 🥰 all the best. Please owner DO NOT reply asking me for further explanation or we gonna fix the problem. I don’t think that’s fixable.

The drinks are insanely overpriced for the quality here. Every time I’ve been it feels like the employees are pissed off that you are there. All of the other coffee shops around Tampa are significantly better experiences.

I really like this coffee shop! The baristas are super friendly. I tried their seasonal blueberry syrup in a hot latte. I was super intrigued on how fruit would taste in a latte. In conclusion, it was pretty delicious. Will definitely be back

Wonderful local coffee spot just off the interstate. This is my second visit and felt compelled to add to the other positive reviews. Staff have fantastic, positive energy. They are specialty coffee knowledgeable and great at answering coffee questions and have pride in their product. The flow of ordering is swift and efficient. Coffee is specialty, local roasted and crafted with care. This is now my go-to coffee spots when passing through Tampa.

Good coffee. Vibe fits with the surrounding area. Service was good. The eggs aren't cracked to order, so I just got a bagel. It was pretty good.

Best drink ever. Bagel was better than any bagel I ever ate in New York. I ate a lot of bagels. Scott is the best.

A coffee lovers dream. Their single origin iced coffee is to die for. We always buy their beans for our espresso machine. Always worth going a bit out of your way to go here!!

Went on a Saturday and it was very busy. If you can get in here in between the many cross fit classes letting out, do it. Parking is mostly street/curb parking. Dog friendly. Seating area is on the smaller side, with about 10 tables/25-30 seats.

This is hands down the greatest coffee shop i’ve ever been to. Conveniently located across the street from my apartment building, this is the perfect place to get caffeinated and knock out some work in a top tier environment. They’re dog friendly and the staff is phenomenal. I highly recommend stopping in, you’ll be happy you did!

My little family visited this morning and I am still thinking about how amazing everything at The Lab was! Truly. We ordered a breakfast sandwich on their homemade jalapeño bagel + breakfast burrito + drinks and every single thing was UNREAL. Everyone was super friendly, it was clean and good vibes all around! I can’t recommend this place enough!

Got the chef’s choice and a cold brew. Best breakfast in Tampa. If you see a line, it’s worth the wait.

They feature two single origin options for espresso, and both are yummy! My favorite part though are their breakfast sandwiches. They are known for their breakfast Cuban press but I am actually more a fan of their Hangover Bagel Sandwich which consists of sausage, bacon, hash brown potatoes , gouda, cheddar, and Sriracha mayo. It's so yummy.

Best dirty chai in Tampa, no contest. Their coffees/drinks are all wonderful and well priced. The food is not so great and very overpriced. Come for the food and atmosphere. Only ever received poor service once, which I think was a fluke since I've been here a dozen times. Highly recommend for their drinks!

I stumbled upon this place after visiting the nearby animal shelter. I noticed parking was difficult but it might’ve been due to my lack of knowledge of the area. Their coffee prices are really reasonable, with a high quality blend. I also grabbed their hangover cure burrito, it was fantastic! Really packed with meat and very flavorful. I only wish this coffee shop was closer, worth the visit! The staff were also very welcoming and friendly. They also have indoor & outdoor seating, and are dog friendly. We observed many people come in with their dogs either to grab a coffee or to sit & relax.

The store is situated well and is super clean and nice looking on top of this they have probably the best coffee I've ever had and the foam for their latte's is absolutely perfect.

Down to earth great coffee place. Great coffee, they know how to make them and simple breakfast. Suggestive Tipping was not aggressive at all, in fact I was overly surprised how grateful they are. Compare this to the lady and the mug , this place wins hands down; coffee , food, service and tipping attitude.

First time here and has a wonderful experience!! I got an iced cinnamon dulce and it was the best I’ve ever had! The coffee cake muffin was delicious. The employees were super friendly! Highly recommend. I love a coffee shop that really takes pride in their handcrafted coffee!

A lot or great things to say about The Lab! For starters, great coffee and matcha. Also a good environment to work/study in as long as you are okay the background noises and music. The prices run a little steep - a matcha latte with oat milk is $8.50 and close to $10 after tip cause it’s a full $1.00+ up charge for almond or oat milk. One thing I want to highlight that I love - they keep a fully stocked bathroom with anything you may need. Love this very thoughtful touch. They are dog friendly for both indoor and outdoor seating.

The Lab is a great local coffee/breakfast spot. Their bagels are top notch and very comparable to a New York Bagel. Their coffee is very tasty and they rotate on different types of roasts. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Cortado. Solid. Pretty clean latte art, for if you insist on photographing your stims. Single origin espresso pulled by someone who knows what they're doing. Milk not overfoamed, solid striation between layers, all the good stuff. Hangover burrito. Egg, cheese, bacon, sausage, potato, Sriracha mayo. Necessity in recovering from these trying times. Somehow managed to make this mixture feel light and clean, rather than greasy and leaning towards gross as most breakfasts in this vein do. Not oversized which is critical. It's breakfast, too much of a good thing quickly becomes a bad thing. Don't want to start the day feeling full. Used to be served on a bagel but they nixed that for a homemade tortilla. It was the right move. A bagel would have been too much. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Vibes lean somewhere between overhauled industrial loft and laboratory (heh.). Clean and comfortable. Feels like this place has a central idea around which procedures, menu, and decor have been continually refined in pursuit of. Superb.

I’ve been looking for a coffee shop that can make a decent iced caramel latte since moving here, and this place made it exactly how I like it. Probably the best I’ve had in a long time and plan to be coming back more often. Highly recommend and good service.

What a cute spot!! This was my first time here and it definitely has to be one of my favorite coffee shops in tampa already. Good vibes, polite employees, super cute outdoor patio and free parking 😍 I got a simple iced pour over and it was good!

I went in today because I was craving that breakfast pizza, and alas, they have replaced them with breakfast burritos... BUT TWIST ENDING the burrito is actually somehow tastier than the pizza! That fresh salsa verde!!? Come ON!!! These folks have great taste which I appreciate because it sucks to take the time to go somewhere to buy something to eat and the thing ends up tasting bad or meh, which happens a lot in Tampa imho. Also got bonus lavender syrup in my pour over which was a mistake but I actually love. Just all around a great experience. Keep it up y'all!

Would definitely have to come back another time but earlier to really enjoy this place! Loved how in the bathroom they make it accessible with these menstrual products! You have no idea how inconvenient it is at times and to have it be provided and easy assess is French kiss moment right here ❤️

After making my rounds through the coffee purveyors of the Tampa Bay area for nearly 20 years, I'm done. I've made my decision. The Lab gets the crown. This unassuming, easy to miss location puts out the absolute highest quality product in a few distinct areas that are near and dear to my heart: #1 - Dirty Chai Latte - This is always my beverage of choice, but nobody does it half as well as the Lab. I visited twice this week and there was no difference in the absolute deliciousness I got in this drink. Not just in Tampa, but probably the best dirty chai I've had in my travels around America. #2 - Espresso - In some ways this is a hard one to screw up, but at the Lab it's just a little bit better. They typically have at least a couple different varieties available, and the waitstaff is knowledgeable about the nuances in each. #3 - Food - The selections here are not very extensive (and I'd love to see the breakfast flatbread back on the menu!) but what they do, they do with precision quality and in just the right sized helping for my taste. In terms of ambiance, this is an urban adjacent hideout with a low key industrial feel. There are cozier places in the city, but in my opinion they don't hold a candle to the quality level here.

Visited 4/27/23 and was really happy with the place. The staff was friendly and the vibe is spot on. The coffee was really great- I will definitely be returning.
