My first experience dinning at the Lockup was brunch about a month ago. I had Eggs Norwegian, it was fantastic, and I was looking forward to trying them for dinner. I went back last evening and had one of the most memorable meals I've had in a long time. The meal started with an appetizer of roasted beet salad with goat cheese and topped with candied walnuts in a citrus vinaigrette...delicious. For the entree I had pan seared sea scallops over truffled mushroom orzo with wilted spinach and haricots vert. Now scallops happen to be my favorite thing to order whenever I dine out. This was one of THE BEST scallop dishes I remember having...simply delicious!!! Dessert was tiramisu, also very good. The presentation of all courses was very appealing and artistic. The waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive, the ambiance eclectic, and creative. This is not your average "run of the mill" dinning experience. I will be recommending it to friends and family and can not wait to go back again!
