My band RATH & The Wise Guys stopped here on tour and had a KILLER time. The owner put a ton of work in making it look and feel like the authentic old building it is. It's like something out of a movie for sure, and we will definitely be coming back!

This is a Lafayette tradition brought back from hibernation. So much Lafayette bar scene nostalgia. I went there in the late 80s and early 90s. Walking back in felt like traveling through time. I love it. Definitely our go to spot to grab a drink and play some pool. Love that they have bands there. Saw a few great ones already.

It's ok I just don't think it's all that. I used to be chunky n no one over there accepted me whenever I was. Plus my ex n his aunt used to work here. It's ok other than all the people who laughed at me n body shamed me. I guess I just don't fit in with other girls. Lol. Oh well. I'm gonna be famous one day.

Best dive in Lafayette. Can’t believe how friendly the staff/ owners are and the quality of the regulars. Incredible happy hour and day of the week deals too. Essential part of Lafayette culture.

Being 1000 miles from my hometown I certainly did not expect to find a place that made me feel so at home. Great people, great atmosphere, and cheap drinks are more than I could have ever asked for. Will definitely be stopping here everything I'm in town from now on.

The loose caboose doesn't serve food. It's is a traditional bar with modern spin. The place is being run as its being fixed up and the staff is dedicated and working their hardest to get it up and running.

Thank you to the Loose Caboose for letting us enjoy the most fun shower I've ever been to. They opened their door to us from 4 to 7, the service was great and we had a fabulous time!

Parking at this place is so misleading. Me and a bunch of others got towed for parking in the parking lot adjacent to the Caboose. One side has a huge sign you’d be an idiot to miss. The other opening has no signage. Yet they are towing people all the time (words of the R&R tow truck driver). They are making thousands a night off of people that park there. The sign they pointed me to was on a utility pole by the road, not in the lot, yet there is a no parking here to corner sign 15 ft in front of the tow away sign on the utility pole. This is crookedness and idk who owns the parking lot adjacent to the caboose. The owner of the caboose admitted there needs to be a sign and didn’t blame me for blowing up because I had an u expected bill of $300 to get my car back that night because it got towed. Called the cops to tell me how I parked illegally. Cop couldn’t tell me at all. He just said it’s a civil matter. If nobody is going to do anything to stop this crookedness from happening, I guess I will. I’m disabled too on top of it all. I can’t afford an extra $300 at the drop of a hat. What’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong. This is wrong. Why even have that back open?? Why not just have one entrance, the one on the side of the front door of the Caboose has adequate signage. The back opening doesn’t. Only sign is 5x7 on a utility pole even with a no parking here to corner sign. If this happened to anyone else please reach out to me.

Most relaxing, best priced bar in Lafayette. The vibes are really calm and dark with the lights dimmed. The bartenders are very easy to bond with end joy company with especially during calmer nights. Ask Jude about his hair routine, best advice ever.

Ah the Loose Caboose, a Lafayette dive-bar institution, recently reopened. Remarkably intact visually, happily minus the stale bar stench of days gone by. If you haven’t made a pass lately you really should. The highlight of my recent experiences at the Caboose is unquestionably Jude, who is one of the most charming and intelligent bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of chatting with. PLUS he has excellent taste in music. 🙌

Although this business establishment is a club it is very well organized. Staff are friendly & outgoing. Customer disruptions (fights/drunkenness/etc) are extremely rare (assessment gathered) from long time customers. Upon my entrance of several times I noticed the club to be very clean as also the restrooms didn't smell the urine ( not many clubs do this constantly). The prices for products being offered to the general public are consistent & within the price ranges of other similar business establishments in the area. I'd definitely recommend The Loose Caboose to family, friends, or the general public looking for a darn good time within a clean & friendly environment. Owner: {You're doing an absolute wonderful job maintaining your business. The only thing I'd recommend is maybe 1 or 2 security cameras outside your business. It's statistical fact that security cameras keep the average person in check of good honest behavior.}

A sketchy cesspool that is equal parts debauchery and hedonism. This place is great if you like no-frills, bottom of the barrel, spoonfull of gravel type dive bars.

It's a dive for the young and the poor, college students being a combination thereof. The PBR flows freely in this hip little hole. Occasionally they host live music but the close quarters and poor acoustics make it not as pleasant as in other establishments. It was like a second home to me for a while, and every now and again I swing by and smash a pitcher of Pabst for old times' sake.

Great little place in the middle of no where. The owner has a outdoor area for music and gave us a personal tour. Patrons are all friendly as well as the bartender.
