Great little ice cream shop. With delicious ice cream.

Everything was great. Ordered 3 double burgers, fried pickles and a mini concrete.

This place is awesome. Plenty of selections, burgers, fries etc plus ice cream and custard. Priced similarly like other custard parlors. Seating area. Def. will come back.

Good food but portions are smaller than one would expect.

Ok.. nothing special about the food or ice cream.

Staff was very detail oriented and managed the long line quickly. We had the Hawaiian ice with tigers blood and a Carmel and chocolate chip concrete. Outside seating area was well maintained and scenic. During our visit the team went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and enjoyable! When requesting additional topping the staff offered to remake to our preference which displayed exceptional customer service. Very tasty and satisfactory! 10/10

Nice place for ice cream. Decor is a little dated, or retro or vintage, whatever word you want to use. The ice cream was good. The service was decent, but slow. They need to make the people who want to get to the front of the line and spend ten minutes choosing step to the side or wait to get in line unless they know what they want. It creates delays and slows down service. It's not bad enough to knock it to four stars, so let's call my review 4.5.

Complete rip off for food quality and tiny portions. They should be ashamed of the prices for what they serve. Stick to ice cream only.

I have only been there this one time so please keep that in mind. The ice cream sandwich tasted home made, it was killer. Cold hard ice cream and tasty chip on each side, not one of those soft, extra chewy (not one of those that makes you wonder how old it is kind is). They use liquid malt and I would expect the power malt, from a place named the malt shop.

I've only been there a couple times just to get some ice cream so I have not experienced very much of the place.

This was my first visit due to not living in Missouri. I wish I lived closer because it was great! I bought a Heath concrete, which was one of the best I've tasted. I'd suggest you plan your route to make The Malt Shop your destination.

They did an outstanding job of preparing the orders for the residents of Cedarhurst Assisted living. Everything was ready, packed with names on all orders! Residents loved everything they ordered! Thank you for taking great care of their orders.

I treated myself and my kids to some ice cream today and The Malt Shop did not disappoint! My kids each had a small cup of ice cream with their choice of candy. I had a chocolate milkshake. The outdoor tables were clean, but my daughters needed to use the porta-potty, and they said it was filled with vomit.

Nice place off the beaten path.enjoyable because it's not a chain. Many different flavors available. There is only outdoor seating or eat in the car. We have been here many times and service is always great. Workers are cheerful. They have food here but I have only gone here for the ice cream.

Me and my boyfriend are from out of town and not from this area and we decided to stop here after dinner and get some dessert and a sweet treat. The shakes were absolutely amazing. I think it was the owner we didn’t catch his name, but he was an absolute sweetheart, and made our experience amazing. He gave us recommendations on where to go here in the city and then came back out of the store with a couple of cards for us to go try out A local arcade type place. It was amazing and we will definitely come back.

My grand daughter and I completely enjoyed this, good soda fountain food, a little pricey, service was conscientious. I have talked this up to everyone I know, gotta give it a try, and brings back menories of dime store and old fahioned drive ins, there is an area to eat outside too. A sweet little roadside secret.

It's outside so pick your day accordingly. Besides that the food is great the ice cream, man, don't get me started it is so good. But if you want a large get a medium because a large is 1 liter of ice cream. Don't get me wrong I enjoy my ice cream and I'm a big guy and it was a lot for me. So if you do want a large be sure to ask to see what they put it in first.

Don't waste your money at chain shops like Sonic. Shop here. Orange freeze is like goin home. Old school pork fritter is like when mama hugged you. This is therapy.

We stopped by The Malt Shop for a little pick-me-up after a day of celebrating in the city. We loved the board with all the employee favorites! The concretes & sundaes were all incredible and ready in just minutes! 5 of us all got something and we were all impressed, and for right at $30 isn’t bad at all for 5 frozen treats! We will definitely be back!!!!

Best ice cream and corn dog in town. The team and Bart are by far the best in town. 💙💙

I ordered a Steak sandwich chicken strip meal and 2 malt's order fries and order onion rings. Everything was good but Jesus,,,, $42 Dollars... Next time I'll just go to Texas Road House. If I'm going to pay 20$ per plate, I don't want to eat it out of a paper sack. Anyway, go somewhere else and eat and go buy a malt from them.

I have been going to the Malt Shop since the 80’s. Always been a huge part of the Fenton Community and for good reasons! They ice cream and options are amazing. They always hire the most friendly workers too! I am happy that I can bring my children there to create their own memories of this amazing establishment!

Nice staff and fast service. Even when the line is long, there is usually someone taking orders down the line while you wait to speed things up. Plenty of picnic table seating outside and most are even lit at night. Always nice to support a local ice cream shop!

We were lucky to find a spot in the shade. There is no inside dining, Malts, concretes, and sundaes were great. The cheeseburgers as expected.

After a coworker introduced me I go here all the time. It's so much better than chain fast food. The produce is always fresh for instance. No sad tomatoes at The Malt Shop! My go-to: single cheeseburger with everything but bacon and a large strawberry shake with no toppings. YUUUUUUM!

Love this place. Been coming here a couple times a week lately. I get the most basic thing but so delish! Friendly staff and service is quick! Unless you go on a busy weekend… expect to wait a few minutes for your food or ice cream. Most I’ve waited is maybe 10 minutes, not bad at all. But I will say… the banana split should be served in a regular cup. Not that long dish. It isn’t deep enough. It was a bit messy and the bananas were sliced up and syrup from strawberries was over flowing. difficult to eat without making a mess.

Great atmosphere as the immediate area around the front of the shop was crowded with people enjoying yummy ice cream treats. They serve a tasty product with nice portion sizes without breaking the bank.

Long time family ice cream shop!

This place always forgets food. About three times now I'm charged for food but never receive it. Last time was over 25 minutes for fries and we ended up leaving. It wasn't even busy and there was like 20 people working back there. We will start getting ice cream elsewhere from now on.

I would need to go here a few times in order to make an accurate assessment, but based on my very first visit, I would say this is a great little place. The reason for a 4 out of 5 is because I ordered their version of Steak n' Shake's Orange Freeze, and although very good, I prefer the original GOAT from SnS!!!

They have a huge selection of treats to choose from, a variety of flavors and suggestions from the staff. Gotta try them this summer!

Great place to stop and grab a treat.

It's a little pricey for ice cream. That said, get the mini because even the small is big. Flavors and toppings are so fun. Everyone there is friendly and even when they get a long line it goes fast because they send someone out to take the order of people in line. Love this spot. It's a favorite summertime treat to go here with the kids.

Concretes were fine, but definitely made with ice cream, not custard. Also, my daughter ordered a turtle sundae and it was made with that awful hard Magic Shell stuff from the 1980s, not hot fudge. It was gross Ana she had to pick out the pieces.

Malt shop = had a chocolate malt. Was solid, tasty & malty, as expected. Like a touch more soda effect/malt in my malts (I'm picky), but loved this malt, and peanut butter concrete anyone... (yep, just Peanut butter mixed into a concrete... amazing!!!)??? YUM!!! Locally-owned by good family. Does biz the right way; buzzed thru a long line on a hot summer night. This is a place I will return; bc it's great and worth the price. Good stuff; keep it up.

Delicious custard at a good price. Cones, shakes, malts, sundaes and concretes with lots of toppings to choose from. Perfect on a hot muggy day.

1st time visiting and won’t be going back. The food is overpriced and took 30 minutes for 2 burgers and a grilled cheese while no one else was there.

Took the kids there for some malt’s. I am not a huge sweets guy, but I decided to go for it with the family. It was well worth it. I did really enjoy my malt. Usually my daughter eats half and is done, but she devoured it all. We really enjoyed the malts and recommend that if you are looking for a cold malt on a warm summer evening, stop by.

Got a mint Oreo concrete. The Shaded patio was very much appreciated on this hot day. Also appreciated the free water cooler water.

It is more an experience than great food or ice cream. We keep and will keep coming back.

Delicious local walk-up ice cream shop. Went on a Friday night and service was quick / line was not long. Outdoor seating only and there are plenty of seating options. Concretes were delicious and had toppings mixed entirely throughout!
