Mario the Baker is always consistently excellent. Unfortunately I didn't take as many pictures as I should have. Literally everything on the menu is excellent. Classic American Italian eatery. It's really too hard to recommend any specific item call Mommy cuz everything on the menu is so good. Highly Recommend! 9/10

Was eating at Mario's years ago at their original location in North Miami. Although Mario passed on the family has really kept his hard work alive because if you are looking for a true NY slice ala Joe's pizza in the village or Luigis in Brooklyn your quintessential NY slice joints, always on the money ? Mario The Baker is the real Florida NY pie shop. Not pseudo Intellectual pies just straight real NY Grande cheese. If you know, you know. Brooklyn in a pie box.

Nice Italian restaurant on 441 between Royal Palm and Wellington. Price is right and place stays packed. Service is sweet. Food is simple. Accommodates quick italian meals and large parties. Easy night out - thank you. Chicken Parm Sub Sandwich - basic and quick Pepperoni Pizza - so fresh and our favorite!!!

The owner behaved like a douche bag. I have been coming here for years and since post covid he has been a thief. If he doesn’t value customers that’s fine I’ll go elsewhere where my business is appreciated. Also, very dirty compared to before covid. When you try to be greedy it can only last so long. We are in a downturn economic times in America and you would think you would value the loyalty of your customers but we all have choices to make. You make yours. The waitress was nice and I didn’t take it out on her tip because I value humans more than profits unlike you. And as I can see in this reply you are trying to downplay what happened. You are also a liar to add to that name. So typical .. the gas lighting. You literally are a thief and you project that. Never did I want free food. Unreal!! And also, if you don’t appreciate the name on the behaviors of yours, it is within your power to change and make another choice. You want to charge 15 dollars for a small side of pasta after there was barely any pasta for 15 dollars. I was willing to pay 8 dollars for not even half a cup of pasta. So I found another place that has better spaghetti and price and they are nicer. And to say I complained when that is not true just shows how unaccountable you are and you lie and why would I want to support that.

Was eating my soup (not even over the bowl) & noticed an eyelash between the bean & piece of tomato. Called to let the lady know & instead of being nice & apologetic about it, she said “mmm that’s very unlikely but okay what’s your name” why would I lie??? I’ve been coming here for years but I’m obviously going to complain if there’s some random eyelash in my $7 soup! I’ve worked in the restaurant business for years & her response was unacceptable in my opinion, making it seem like I was lying.

Pasta fazule and chicken francais is my go-to with spaghetti noodles. My treat to myself.

When the moon hits your eyes like a big pizza pie that’s Mario’s. Discerning palates will be delighted to discover that Mario the Baker aptly fills the void for high-quality pizza in south Florida. My family and I are thrilled to have found this establishment.

Good place for before or after the movies

Pizza was pretty flavorless not my favorite could have been better with toppings. But customer service was on point. Non the less

They have the BEST Garlic Rolls!!! The staff is all wonderful, especially Lily and Mickey they’re amazing!!!

We ordered pizza to go and it was so good! The sauce has a true, homemade flavor, and the veggies were perfectly cooked. We loved the crust because it was the right thickness to give it a bit of a crunch.

Hands down the best antipasto salad anywhere! Meatballs and garlic bread are amazing!!

Great food and service! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for atmosphere is because of the noise. But I will say that that's forgivable. It's only because their food is so good the place is always packed with happy people!

Ordered a Large pepperoni pizza to take back to the office for lunch with leftovers. The pie was so salty it wasn't enjoyable and ended up in the trash.

I owned a Italian restaurant. I rarely give 5 stars. I like their pizza. This is one of 2 places that I go in the Wellington area.

The food wasn't any better than homemade. I'm a foodie who can cook so maybe my expectations are different. The service was excellent - they were attentive and polite. The atmosphere is lacking. It has the feel of a grungy old diner.

Friendly staff great garlic rolls... poor performance feom the kitchen. My friends food cane out 20mim before my food was ready. The marina sauce definitely comes out of a can.... would not recommend will not be back.

Cheesy atmosphere …. I’ve had better red sauce of the shelf from the super market. Garlic rolls were the best part of the meal…. Unfortunately everything else was lack luster…. Don’t recommend will not be back.

This place has too many great reviews. The food is mediocre. Pizza is good/ok but I wouldn’t get it again. Spaghetti and meatballs were dry and meatballs are overhyped! We like Jay’s Pizza better and honestly that place Is only okay too. The garlic knots is good bread but no garlic flavor! At least the service was good and fast

We’ve recently moved to the area and are trying to find a good NY pie. This is the best we have found in the area…so far. I give it a 7/10.

Everything was amazingly perfect. Oil garlic soaked rolls are to die for.

Our regular place to come before going to the movie theater. The garlic rolls used to be swimming in garlic, now I hardly see the garlic. Instead it was soaked with too much oil. And they were served upside down like they were in rush, however the restaurant was empty. My ziti special came out after my husband finished his pasta. The waitress said the other waitress stole my dish when it was came out, so they had to make a new one. We just had to watch each other eat. While it was not busy, our waitress seemed to have her tables every corner of the restaurant. It took a long time for her to come back to get something. Didn’t see a manager around. Not sure what was changed here or maybe just my bad day.

The pizza was a bit on the salty side the garlic knots were a bit on the super garlic side but I also had a lasagna and my 10-year-old had raviolis which were delicious so overall it was like a 7 out of 10 and we will return

A big group of us went there after a good friends funeral. I had good food and good service in a clean atmosphere. A good place to take the family for Italian food. Pricy, but you get what you pay for.

The experience started the moment I entered the doors. The staff is welcoming and accommodating, and the atmosphere is great. I love the decor, the food, and the overall vibe. The garlic balls are to die for! Will definitely be back. Ps: Great spot for dinner and a movie. We arrived a bit after 8pm and still made it to our 9pm movie at the Regal next door

The stuffed shells are awesome! And they are full of ricotta cheese! 😍 They're soft and moist and I really like the thin sauce! Glad I found this place for my italian craving! Update: The chicken parm sub is really good too! It's all a little pricey.... Can add up quick, but we keep wanting this italian food over and over and over! And now my parents are ordering it! Love this place - and everyone is so nice.

Mario's has been a personal favorite for years. The staff are always welcoming and the food is always great. Their pizzas and garlic rolls are mouth watering. I highly recommend Mario's. 😁

I grew up in NMB and went to the original Mario Baker from 1969! I was so happy to visit this restaurant with its history. The rolls are still the best, so I had to take a dozen home. The food is always good. We had lasagna and antipasto salad, which was very fresh. We sat there too long before a waitress came over, and no one was particularly friendly or unfriendly. I remember when Mario used to greet everyone, so I may be a little biased on the atmosphere. But when in the neighborhood, I will always go back.

The place is smaller than l thought it would be but charming. The Chicken Parmigiana was good. It's a family restaurant that l would go with children.

Just moved to the area and were looking for a new favorite pizza spot. Mario's nailed it we got the Mario Special large and 2 of us ate the entire thing it was so good! The ladies at the counter were so friendly and inviting definitely our favorite new spot.

We've been here many times before but this was the first time we took our puppy with us. As always the food and service were great... they were very accommodating and the meal went off without a hitch! Will do this again! 😍

Been waiting to try for a while, as I used to go to the north Miami store as a kid in the early 80’s. The garlic rolls’ smell, look and taste brought me right back down memory lane.

Just wished they had Caesar salad.

Initially visiting Mario's. To begin with, the space is pleasant, tidy, and spacious. placed an order for additional garlic in the garlic knots. Fantastic. For a week, vampires won't be a concern for you. I also received a sizable pie containing garlic, onions, mushrooms, and pepperoni. Excellent pie. It's thin, foldable, and perfectly sauced. Everything fits together well. Get the canolli for dessert. One more excellent option. Victoria, our waiter, was excellent, to sum up. alert, upbeat, and consistently smiling. The evening was enhanced by her presence. I'll be back.

Tastes too delicious to be true: Garlic Rolls finest I've ever experienced. Real Italian cuisine prepared with love, together with excellent value and service. Moreover, wine is cheaply priced, in contrast to other eateries. Family favorite ❤️ and suitable for young ones as well.

I have order curbside each time and the pizza has been delicious, fresh ingredients my husband cannot get enough of their sauce, orders a side of it each time. Next we are looking forward to having a dine in meal.

Dirty plates were towering. When I could find the waitress, I asked her if she could take them, but I guess that was my one wish, because she darted away. I got up for my own refills because the dinner was done before she would stop for a second. Than brought us to go bags without asking if we were done or wanted anything else: like a refill or dessert. We did want dessert, so we asked to her disappointment. Trying to figure out the check describes the experience. Food was alright, gravy was thin and sweet, pasta was thick and slippery. Clam sauce was very fishy. However, the garlic knots were the best we've had, local pizza shops included.

I came here for the first time with the fam to celebrate my little nephew's birthday; the food was delicious, and the service was over the top. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food.

Brought some family here while they were visiting from out of town. Really wish I would've tried it first. Pretty disappointing meal. The pizza was okay. The garlic rolls were very good. Two of us decided to try the Veal Francese, and at $20 a dish I was expecting something decent. What we got was a super thin breaded veal cutlet what I wouldn't have been surprised to find in a TV dinner covered in an unimpressive sauce. It was edible. Service felt rushed and the atmosphere reminded me of a school cafeteria.

I thought this place would be better, but if felt like a diner. Small pizza, cheap cheese. Do not like waxy plastic tasting cheese. More like chuckie cheese and not a long standing pizza location

Great great great! I was visiting West Palm Beach for a week and went here twice. Outstanding. Not a chain. They have servers who do a great job and are very attentive. Wonderful place.

I love Mario the Baker and my mom has been catering their baked ziti for the last 15 years for our annual Christmas Party. When I go though, I usually get drinks at Papi Chulos next door first and then head to Mario the Baker for a Large Cheese Pizza and a half dozen order of Garlic Rolls. Their pizza and rolls are the best I’ve ever had and the service is always friendly. There have been a couple times where the food wasn’t up to par and the waitress has always been so understanding and makes me want to come back each and every time.

Have not been here in a while but was in the area last Thursday so stopped to have supper. My son's meal chicken parm was great. I ordered the eggplant parm as I usually do because is it very good but this time it was not. The eggplant was cut too thick and the coating was way too much. Eggplant was not thoroughly cooked. I brought most of it home as I thought cooking it more would help but it did not so it went into the trash. Just very disappointed.

This food is so average. It's a shame you can't get a nice Italian Dish in many places anymore.

First time at Mario's. First the place is nice, clean and didn't feel cramped. Ordered the garlic knots with extra garlic. Excellent. You won't have to worry about vampires for a week. Also got a large pie with pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and garlic. Very good pie. Thin, foldable and the sauce is just right. It all pulls together nicely. For dessert order the canolli. Also another great choice. Lastly our waitress, Victoria was great. Attentive, positive and always smiled. She made the evening even better. I will return...

I use to dine in every week until they raised their prices to over 25%. They use to give a small salad with their chicken parm dinner but no longer. They use to have combo specials with salad and soda but no longer. They make the best food but I can no longer afford to dine in so I take out. What use to cost me 14.50 is now 19 without a soda and salad. With this price comes tip inflation. If I was to order the salad and soda with the tip I'm looking at a 35 to 40 dollar dinner. This place use to be affordable. As a single senior I can no longer eat at places at these prices. None of those specials include a chicken parmesan dinner for a single person. Now you can't even order that dinner for a take out on a weekend.

Delicious food, fast service and clean place

I used to got to the Miami beach location as a kid vacationing there every summer. When I moved to FL, my relatives discovered this Royal Palm Beach location and we have been going there for over 20 years. Although I have moved to another state, whenever I am in town to visit relatives, this is one of MUST-DO while in the area. The staff is friendly, the pizza and the pasta dishes are delicious. I have never tasted garlic rolls as delicious as at The Original Mario the Baker.

My husband and I decided to give Mario the baker a try for the first time after reading amazing reviews. We walked in and were amused by a very loud and crowded mom and style pop style restaurant because that usually means the food is amazing right? WRONG!! We were greeted and the waitress took our orders, my husband wanted to add chicken to his pasta dish and they said no the chef does not change his dishes as if they were running a Michelin star restaurant 🥴We placed our order starting off with Garlic knots which were actually amazing after chomping on their garlic knots we were so excited to try the food when it arrived .We took our first bite; the disappointment we felt was heart breaking my broccoli rabe and sausage dish was as tasteless as a piece of cardboard and my husbands dish tasted like it was straight out of can of chef Boyardee. Definitely recommend if you like tasteless bland food ☺️

I always go here when I go to the movies. They have a classic New York style pie that is perfect in its simplicity. When you're sick of burnt coal fired pizzas or totally not-pizza but claim to be pizza anyway flatbreads, this is your place. The pasta is also quite good, you can tell its homemade.

I was a small part of organizing a Surprise 80th Birthday celebration for 16 guests on the patio on Wednesday May 31st! Patty and Elana were amazing, attentive, professional, welcoming servers! Lily worked with Sharon and Barbara to reserve and arrange for early arrival for us to decorate! Thank you so much! Patty and Elana were extremely patient with us! Thank you! The patio was perfect even when it was raining! It was extremely private and with the ceiling fans it was very comfortable! Service with a smile! 16 guests and all our food came out piping hot and at the same time! On a busy Pasta Special night! They have a great kitchen crew! Wow! I ordered the spaghetti with sausage, garlic and oil! With lentil soup to start! The lentil soup was one of the best I’ve ever had! Absolutely delicious! Sharon ordered 6 caprese for the table also fabulous! The tomatoes were so ripe and juicy! My spaghetti/ sausages were perfect! I’m Italian so I can be very picky! Wow! I was blown away by all the food that came out! Lasagna, chicken parmigiana, spaghetti and meatballs etc! Pleasing 16 older people mostly New Yorkers is an incredible feat! Everyone was complimenting the food and service! I honestly don’t know how Patty did it! She is a treasure! As is Elana! Thank you for your hard work on a busy night with a large group! Everything was perfect! I’m a new fan! I highly recommend! Please thank all involved!

Food was good my husband got exceptional service from our server. My son and I did not. I won’t be back.
