I had a cheeseburger and fries. It was extremely well prepared and 100% home made goodness. Such large portions I couldn't eat it all.

Food is great and service is fast and friendly. The value is awesome.

Love the food and seasonal specials, the decor, cleanliness, and efficiency, the local provenance. Imo, only 2 things need improving: 1. Better potato options, besides shredded, such as chunky potatoes on the grill. 2. More importantly, a personal touch/way/ connection between servers and clients is lacking. Servers have smiles and connections to each other, but not w/ with clients. They lack compassion, interest in us, lack kindness and patience. They seem to be in a rush and don't have good eye contact, no recognition or welcoming. Just a business like vibe and food/breaking bread is more personal, more spiritual of an experience, especially eating in a restaurant.

Blairsville's best dinning. A must placed to eat when in town.

Patty Melt was terrible. The Rye toast was great. 2 strands of onions, if there cook doesn't know how to make a patty melt they shouldn't be cooking. I also asked to cook it medium well, and mayo and musted, nothing on it and I had to ask for them.

Fantastic, we had dinner there and went back for breakfast a couple days later. No disappointments here!

Best food I've eaten in a very long time, and everyone of staff was inviting and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and very affordable.

For the price, it was good for $13. I’ve had better, and I like to think that I’m quite the critic and know what I’m looking for in a Chicken Fried Steak. Their CFS is good, but I’ve had better somewhere else. But like I said, for the price.. you can’t beat it since most places that we go to in TX are around $16-$18 without coffee. My in laws live just outside of town, and they have been raving about this place for as long as they have been going here every Tuesday with a couple of their friends, o we knew when we drove up to visit, that this would be on our itinerary. There was a bit of a wait, but that’s to be expected especially when everyone is in town visiting for the holidays. Service was good and fast, everyone was friendly.

Great southern cooking restaurant. Food cooked just right, not greasy or overly salted. Perfect country fried steak & potatoes. Hubby liked the brisket pot pie. Would definitely come again if visiting the area again.

Are most excellent experience. Wonderful food, fantastic employees. If you do your research you'll learn there are two tables within the building to sit at and people write notes regarding their visit and the food. Just precious notes, we left one too!

We visited Sawmill on a Tuesday around 11:30. We had about a 20 min wait for a table. After being seated we waited a bit for a server to take our drink orders. Best we could figure out we didn’t have one specific server because we were checked on by 4 people. After the food came out the server who took our orders didn’t return. As a result, our drinks sat empty a while & we had to request the dessert that came with the hungry man meal from the special menu. Food took a good while to come out (more than 30 min ) but it was good. We loved the desserts …banana pudding & the peach pound cake.

We ate at the sawmill for dinner for the first time. Let me till you that it was absolutely fantastic. The food was top notch. The atmosphere was so welcoming, and friendly. Absolutely one of the most hard working upbeat staffs around. Owners were nice and engageing. You actually feel welcomed and important. Will definitely be going back and recommend to anyone and everyone. To the stuff and owners you all should be very proud. Keep up the great work

good food... apple a day Salad and ckn blt sandwich. vinegrette was a bit bland. morning glory muffin good too. kept our tea glass filled.nice little market had a short wait to be seated, but it was worth it.

Consistently excellent - the staff is vibrant, warm, and it's clear teamwork and communication is a priority. The quality of food is next level, fast service, and it's no wonder the parking lot is full.

It was good. Really liked the Mac and cheese. Banana pudding was good but needs more cookies in my opinion but would definitely order it again.

We are from out of town but make it a point to stop here for breakfast. We had dinner here in June; the first night that they started serving dinner. It was excellent! The service was first rate. The food was homemade and fresh. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. This restaurant is exactly what you would expect when visiting the mountains. We recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal 👍🏼

My husband and I just love the fresh, delicious food here. We usually go for lunch, but this time we went for breakfast and brought out of town guests. Everyone loved their breakfast selection and waiting for a table is always relaxing out on the porch with a cup of coffee and a mountain view!

Great atmosphere. Went there for breakfast during the week so it was only about a 5 min wait. I ordered the banana nut bread french toast. It would have been really good if I didn’t put maple syrup on it. I took some home and had it the next day with just butter and it was great! I will definitely go back there again.

First off this was my first time here and this place was packed that day. Nice veranda to wait or have your meal outside was quaint. Entering the restaurant was noticeably clean with plenty of room inside. They have a gift shop were the items were quite pricey but hey! Support your local restaurant. Because the restaurant was busy we were given a pager letting us know our table was ready and waited about 20 minutes. Once seated we waited at least 10 minutes before we got waited on and another couple that came in after us got waited on ahead of us by our waiter. The staffing seamed like they were either new or just didn’t take the time to get what they were hired for seriously. The menu selection and pricing was very reasonable and once our order was served the food was delicious and plentiful. No issues at all and hopefully continue to improve the staffing. The gift shop to me should be replaced with a pastries, breads like apple pecan loaves with a brown sugar/cinnamon crunch topping and other goodies to go maybe some homemade pies also. Since they had a Bistro type coffee there also, I would recommend use that are for a quaint coffee and dessert area if breakfast or lunch wasn’t your fancy. It’s a beautiful restaurant for sure but lacking some innovation to use the gift shop area in a more and productive way. While we were there we didn’t see one person contributed to the gift shop. Would we go back? Naturally! Just be prepared for some delays due to a busy spot.

Drove up to a packed parking lot and a 20min wait. Food was top notch. I relished the pork chops, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes with gravy of course, and green beans. A biscuit with a chewy wrapped it up. Wife dined on country fried steak, mashed potatoes, honey glazed carrots, and fried squash, and the most succulent corn bread. Food was worth the wait. Speaking of wait. That's what we did for our waiter. He brought drinks, food, and one refill in about an hour. Had to ask another waitress for a refill. Ashame to have 5 star food with 3 star service. Trusting it was just our waiter. We wanted to try the banana pudding but didn't get an opportunity. It's a beautiful rustic building that is spacious, clean, and warm feeling. We enjoyed the rockers outside on the large porch while we waited to be seated. Food was so good we'll give them another try next time.

Service was wonderful. The way staff works together clearing tables and getting customers seated quickly is like a scene from the past. I recommend the country ham. Pancakes are huge and delicious. Prices are good.

We had a great experience here! The food was excellent and our sever, Alex, was amazing! When we’re back in the area we’ll have to revisit.

The only complaint is that no one ever came back to the table. More water was needed and a takeout box.

Breakfasts here are pretty good. Lunch was crummy. We asked for medium cooked burgers. They were small and very well done. I'll be scratching this place off for lunch. BTW. Nobody ever asked us how our meals were. I wish they had.

Eating at The Sawmill Place was truly an enjoyable experience. There were many menu options to choose from and the service was great. The restaurant was very clean.

The pecan pancakes are very delicious but very dense and heavy.....and huge. The Atlanta sausage and baco were perfectly cooked and delicious. The pic is what was left of my pancackes...you can see all the pecans.

My New Go To Place for good food and great friendly service!!!

My wife and I make the trip to Blairsville at least a couple of times a year and have for several years. Today was our first time trying The Sawmill Place. Everything was wonderful! Food was great, service was great and when we got there we had a few minute wait which i would expect any good eating establishment on a Saturday morning. I you ever in the area you should try it. The gravy and biscuits were very good but the sweet potato pancakes were absolutely wonderful.

Our first time @ Sawmill Place. Service was fast, employees worked as a team clearing tables and refilling drinks. Nicole was our waitress she was very attentive and friendly! Food was excellent! Sweet potatoe pancakes with pecan butter was excellent choice! Grits were awesome! Bacon and sausage was fresh! We will be returning our next trip through the area!! Thank you for excellent service and food!

I am gluten free, so I order a burger, but have it on the gf toast.

Very good country food. Service was great.

Service being seated is quite poor. Had to wait so long to be seated, didn’t have time to eat. There were a lot of empty tables, but still wouldn’t seat us. Claimed had to have 4 for tables. World doesn’t evolve around them. Your response is also poor. Only time to eat 1/4th of pancake before I had to leave for appointment. Seat 2 at table of eight makes no sense. At the counter, we’re strangers agreeing that folks can share tables since most are generally good and nice to get to know. Several other smaller tables were empty.

We will definitely go back when we return to the mountains.

Just moved to Blairsville, stopped in about 30 minutes before closing, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Food was great. This will be one of our regular places!

We tried to go for breakfast but we were too late. Breakfast is served until 11AM . Menu selection is thin but the food was excellent. Everything is fresh local ingredients. The coffee was exceptional not really sure if it was local or not. Service was a touch slow but friendly. We would try it again for a breakfast

Quaint place with fantastic food!

What a charming and warm place! We stopped in for a late breakfast on the recommendation of a local at the gas station, ha! He was right this place was the spot to be! The food was amazing, our server was super sweet and a party of 5 ate for $50 and we’re stuffed! We bought cute souvenirs from their shop. I love that we supported local farms and business owners!

Heard this place was the spot for biscuits and sausage gravy… not so much. The gravy isn’t home made and neither are the biscuits. This was highly disappointing since those are two basic things a breakfast place should be able to prepare in house. With that being said, the service was good and the place was well maintained… clean bathroom.

Great pancakes! My breakfast sandwich was on point. 4 stars because the service was a tiny bit slow, but mostly due to how full it was. Definitely would go back there.

Came in valentines day, was busy but we were quickly served and the staff were fantastic. Food was great, we both enjoyed it, and the atmosphere is very nice. I would definitely come back anytime

I ordered eggs, pork tenderloin (country ham), grits, rye toast, and cups of tea. The country ham was delicious and got a good serving. The rye toast was very good, and it might have been homemade? I had enough to take home. The service was great. The only thing I wanted was a latte, but no one was there that could make it. I have had one before and was really good and was disappointed I wasn't able to get one. They also have a little gifts you can purchase.

Absolutely wonderful experience at this establishment! All super friendly and attentive staff! The food was absolutely delicious and you definitely need to try the hot sauce! They have a cute little gift shop inside. We bought homemade goat milk soap bars! It was really nice to find out that the host that greeted us was the owner! Thank you for your kindness! All great except there is no buffet as advertised

Just had an amazing, and fresh, lunch with our two children. Beautiful atmosphere, and very friendly staff (Bobbi came and talked to our table). Local farm fresh is paramount here, and the quality shows it.

We were here for over a month helping with the wildfires from Florida and enjoyed the breakfast so much I had to bring my family when in the area every time!!

You'll wait for a table - but that's because everyone knows it's good food. They've provided a nice deck to wait on. Good coffee, cheap and tasty breakfast - love the breakfast wrap with extra sauce. But the service is the best part - the entire wait staff is awesome here. Love it

This place was so great that I wished I lived closer. The prices are great, and the portions are big. The staff were great too. I would keep typing, but the takeaway is GREAT, place to eat.

The people were all friendly and quick with drinks. The food was warm, delicious, and service way great. We had such a large group, and table talk was dufficult. Thanks to everyone! See you again soon for another great meal.

Wonderful service. Excellent farm fresh food, served hot. The sweet potato pancakes were so fluffy and moist, I didn't even need syrup. My husband's eggs were prepared just the way he likes, and he said the biscuits and gravy were delicious.

The country-fried steak was really good with mashed potatoes and pinto beans. The prices are very competitive and there is lots of parking.

Biscuits and gravy were awful. Biscuit was very hard, not soft and fluffy. Gravy tasted like thick flour, not a gravy taste. My wife had stomach surgery 3 months ago and cannot even eat a kids meal! I asked the waitress for an extra plate to give my wife litterly a bite of sausage, half a bacon and a tablespoon of scrambled eggs.When the bill came I was charged $1.50 for the plate. I would of appreciated if the waitress told me there was an extra charge for the plate. Instead it was sprung on me. She could of used a fork and ate the little bit off my plate. I spoke to the manager and he basically said tough! First time eating there and it will be the last!

Everything was very good except the sausage patties. They were obviously precooked and reheated and as hard as hockey pucks. Grits were awesome, biscuits were very good. Will try bacon next time.

Stopped here for breakfast, the food is great! I had a breakfast sandwich and my husband had biscuits and gravy. So good! Their gift shop has some good sauces, syrups, jams, etc.

My family and I stopped in for lunch, and how busy and packed parking lot says, wait time was over 30 minutes. Chatting with the hostess, we were going to have to go somewhere else due to an appointment nearby within the next hour. She was very apologetic and suggested if possible, we could order to go. We did that. The young girl who received our order was very sweet, friendly, and most of all - patient. When our order was finished, I noticed she had taken a quick peak in each container to confirm everything was correct and there. Greatly appreciated that. The food was amazing and we will be eating there again. It is definitely worth the wait.

Great selection for breakfast. Applewood smoked bacon, biscuits, pancakes. All very good. The brisket breakfast special was very good as well. Went one day and had to return on our way home. Also try the coffee bar while you wait for a table.

A great breakfast experience! The staff was very polite and helpful. Even during the busiest time of the morning, the staff was smiling, joyful, and attentive. The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. The portions are good size, thus making it a good value. Parking spaces fill up quickly, but even the patrons were pleasant and no one acted inappropriately while waiting for a spot. Locals and out of towners give The Sawmill Place great reviews; now we know why!

1st time visit. There were a lot of people waiting to be seated. It took a lot of time. We were prepared because we had heard it was popular. The wait was worth it. We had breakfast and it was so good. The pumpkin spice butter was so good on the buttermilk biscuits.
