I'm back again. The food here is so good and the staff are incredible. It certainly doesnt happen often but if you do have any issues with your order they are very responsive and ready to make it right. My favorite is the Taco Salad and the Philly cheesesteak. They are close to the FSU campus so if you're between classes and need a snack it's perfect! Most highly recommended.!

We loved their vegan cauliflower wings. So tasty! The staff was very sweet!

The BBQ Bacon Burger was slamming. OMG. They have become my favorite vegan spot. OLD POST: I love this spot. It's new to me as I usually go to Sweet Pea. But, being you have to find new vegan dining that's good and believe me, this is it. I tried the Ultimate Social Nachos. To me, this is a vegan must try. I love it. Delicious. I'm going back to try something new. Tried the Social- licious Chick n Philly today. All my vegan lovers, you must try this as well. And to all the people saying vegan is nasty, vegan food is definitely on the rise. Keep sleeping on it. Delicious and healthy. I'm so glad I changed.

I came all the way from ATL and the food is always delicious . The customer service is amazing and the atmosphere is very calming

Some of the food here is spectacular (specifically the nachos, chili cheese fries, and taco salad). While I’ve always had issues with the business itself closing early or randomly with no reason or warning, leaving online orders open with no way to retrieve your food, and just the customer service overall, I’d never had any issues with the portions or food itself. This is probably because I’d only ordered those couple of things I guess but there’s no way the taco ordered pictures is worth a solid $20. I could get this for six dollars from any taco place and it’d be better. **Edit** There was literally hair in my food

Just visited for their happy hour. The buffalo cauliflower wings were delicious with a great kick if you enjoy spicy food. The street corn was sweet and complimented the cauliflower well. The happy hour drinks also pack a punch, so go easy on them. The oyster mushroom tenders were very good and also spicy. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Co-owner Samirah chatted with us like we were old friends and she made us want to share our experience with everyone. 10/10 Highly recommend!

Really great vegan restaurant. The flavor profiles were really great. Chili cheese fries, tacos and sausage and peppers over rice. It was so good. I can't wait to make a trip back to Tallahassee to eat there again.

If you’re hungry don’t come here, because there’s a chance you’ll never get your food. Ordered a waffle and a side salad. Took over 30 mins with no one even here on a Wednesday evening

Ommmmggg... Had the impossible burger and the Ratter slushie drink, I was very conflicted almost like I was eating an actual hamburger minus the real beef of course, Thank God for plant based diet and of course Liquor 😋🤤😝

Visiting from out of town and decided to try this new to me vegan restaurant. Menu sounded promising. We ordered the fried mushroom appetiser and my mom had the black bean burger and sweet potato fries. Everything we tried was delish. I tried to order a salad, the chicken philly and then a burger but they were out of chicken and impossible burger so I had the mushrooms as my meal. 6pm on a Tuesday and you’re out of food? Super disappointed because I know the food would have been amazing. The restaurant was empty, we were the only ones. Hope to try again in the future and give the five star review I know they probably deserve. Also, not the restaurants fault but the tap water is atrocious. DO NOT DRINK IT. Literally tastes like waste water. 🤢🤢🤢

Diverse menu with options for everyone. The chopper salad I had was so flavorful and delicious! Chicken and Waffles were amazing too. Great spot whether vegan or not with great service.

Absolutely phenomenal food. I got the BBQ Bacon Social Burger and it did not disappoint. Somehow the bacon was crispy and the burger juicy. Would definitely recommend if you have any food allergies and need to go vegan, or just vegan in general.

I cant say enough about this restaurant. The atmosphere, greetings , cleanliness, food etc....was amazing. I tried there vegan Buffalo wing and it's AMAZING! They also have karaoke on Wednesday and Friday nights now that's social! Be big shout out and Thank you to Quan and family for serving Tallahassee with great vegan meals🥰

I ordered the mushrooms online and was called moments before pickup that they did not have anymore left.. which is fine. However, the cook delivered HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE when trying to identify what could compensate for the absence of mushrooms. If the owner is reading this please get rid of the 6ft fair-skinned lady who looks like Madea. I'm almost certain her behavior and lack of professionalism have raised concerns for you.

Wow. Just fantastic vegan food. Slushy cocktails that made the night. The whole group had a great time even the non vegans. I wish the Social Vegan had restaurants all over America. Thank you for a great night

Love the Social Vegan. As someone new-ish to being vegan/flexitarian , I love the options here . Everything I’ve had thus far has tasted wonderful . The food is always fresh and I love the interactions I have with the counter staff , who’ve always been super friendly.

A must have stop for Southern comfort perfection when passing through Tallahassee on a road trip. My partner and I tried the gumbo with shrimp and sausage, the fried oyster mushrooms, the chili queso fries and the chicken Philly sandwich. Every single thing was absolutely delicious and perfectly made. The textures and flavors were amazing and the oyster mushrooms were perfectly battered and fried- lightly crispy, and not super oily. The gumbo and chili queso also had notably fantastic flavor. We had a different plant based meat ingredient for every dish and it was all great. I was so impressed and happy with the satisfying quality of this true southern comfort meal. The only con worth mentioning imo, is the gumbo is very expensive for the portion size, but it’s sooo good.

My wife and I came in for the first time. I came because it was the only place that offered a chicken wing alternative. Was told they no longer carry those, even though it was on the website. I was also excited to try the Mexican corn. It was 8 dollars and we got one ear of corn. That is crazy. We both ordered the mushroom burger and this is no exaggeration, there was maybe 4 very small mushroom pieces. We had really high hopes for this place as new vegans but we won’t be Back.

Food here is absolutely delicious every single time, but their management is lacking. There’s always an issue with online ordering, it’s late or early or they give it to the wrong person. Last time I ordered I came to pick it up 15 minutes later than the given pickup time and there were only two people in the building who had no clue what to do. Ended up waiting over half an hour and they tried to give me the wrong order because they never asked what the order was or who it was for. Again, the food is spectacular and I’ll keep going, but they need to work on staffing and online orders.

I am a traveling gluten-free vegan excited to find restaurants that cater towards my dietary needs. The Social Vegan offers a couple of gluten free options. I went in for lunch on Sunday, when ordering things off of the “daily” lunch menu, they were rung as full price. I was told the lunch options were only offered on weekdays. It was confusing and misleading. The menu is inconsistent and should be corrected for customer clarity. On a side note, the food was fair.

I visited for the first time today. I ordered taco salad and Italian sausage with peppers and brown rice. It was excellent!! My 87 yo mother also loved the food. I will return until I have tasted all the dishes.

We were pleasantly surprised on how good the social vegan was. Eating plant based, it has been hard to find good places to eat, but this place is. Our order was made fresh. We will definitely be going back.

Highly recommend! This is a great place for a lunch meeting and the food was amazing! I had a chicken quesadilla with their special sauce (it looked like it had herbs in it). I don't know what they put in it but I was blown away with my first bite! Will definitely be coming back! ❤️

Went in at 8 on a Saturday and ordered from the 10 items available. After sitting 20-25 min was told they were out of what we ordered. I asked if the food had been started and they said no so I asked to cancel the order. Lady def had an attitude about it for no reason. Said she refunded me but didn’t tell me how much or send any confirmation. Now I see I was charged a net $20.06 for a $12 margarita. I’m guessing they decided to keep a tip, for what I don’t know because it was empty and I had to go ask for my drink after sitting there 10 min. Just say you close at 8 if you can’t make or do anything the last hour you’re open. Wouldn’t even be writing this review if they’d refunded me all but the actual cost of the marg. Should have maybe said sorry about wasting your time and completely ignoring you and refunded all of it, but that would require them having literally any customer service. Whole vibe was just not welcoming at all.

Mr. Al was so amazing and attentive to our needs! He’s the only reason I didn’t rate all zeros, I love supporting all businesses but the light skinned lady at the front was not helpful and worked really slow… THE FOOD was AWFUL and that’s being nice! We spent almost a 100$ at this restaurant and had a cheap experience from the waiter and food not up to standard. My BBQ burger was so dry and the mushrooms were sooooo spicy and the waiter didn’t bother to let us know the Philly was dry as well, like who’s in the kitchen?? We will not come here again. Do you see this hummus wrap???

Incredibly delicious! Enjoying a bacon cheeseburger, quesadilla with fried oyster mushrooms, paired with four different sauces—my favorite being mayo and dill. The addition of bloody marry cocktail made it a perfect dining experience.

The restaurant itself is very inviting and beautifully crafted . Love the art and the name however, the drink and food were subpar. The mango tea lacked flavor, the sandwich was overly dosed in sauce and sloppy, and first time trying fried oyster mushrooms; . Personally, Hemplade Vegan Cafe up the street had way better and larger fried oyster mushrooms and offered them in BBQ unlike here.The only thing I really liked were the onion rings . I’ll give it another go with other items but not that impressed unfortunately . Update January 2024: Service is delightful but I was told “we are switching things up”. I guess that means same prices and less food . I ordered two sides of onion rings and each container had 3 onion rings in it …. I went back inside so fast because my first time here they served you with plenty. I was baffled …

I was looking online for a quick place to stop for healthy vegetarian food and The Social Vegan popped up. Then I saw a photo of their taco salad and we just had to try it! I called because my husband has a salt sensitivity and the man who answered was very helpful and kind. We arrived 30 minutes later to be greeted as if they knew us. The restaurant was brightly and beautifully painted and so inviting. We ended up staying to eat our food and enjoyed every single bite. You get quite a large taco salad for the price and it’s just packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. We had our dog along and the outdoor seating was perfect for our needs while traveling. We will definitely be back.

Brought my family here for graduation, food was delicious and as a reg diet person, everything tasted legit (no obvious vegan taste). Tons of diverse yummy options, and great atmosphere! I hope to come back for some frozen drinks in the future.

I love this place. Everything I ordered has been on point. They also have a nice variety of cocktails. If you're vegan or not, you'll love the food. I wish they had a second location for those areas outside of Tally.

This place is beyond solid. I've been here twice in 24 hours. I started with the half nachos and fried oyster mushrooms. The fried food was fantastic, and not overly oily, the remoulade dipping sauce was tangy and delicious which compliments the mushrooms well. Today is the chickn Philly. The chickn tasted similar to the daring brand (just so you know what to expect going into it,) the build of the sandwich consists of the traditional onion and pepper blend. What made it stand above was the little extra touches with the mayo and mustard drizzle, which gave it a more authentic Philly feel. Packed with unnecessary but welcome toppings on the side to add to the sandwich (lettuce, tomato, pickle, and pickled jalapeño) you can add more to yours to make it feel much bigger than it already is, and it is already decently thicc. The Social Vegan is definitely worth the visit. I think it has yet to develop its best dish, but since I am already maxing the review score, I just mean that they could one day obtain a Zagat guide award. They have all the chemistry needed with a solid base to build from, quality chefs in the kitchen and super friendly staff to elevate your experience.

I’m not vegan but I’ve been here 3 times and have throughly enjoyed the food at each visit, I recommended the deluxe burger, the fried oyster mushrooms/ chickn and waffles, and the nachos!!!!!!!

The atmosphere is warming and welcoming the staff makes you feel like you at home. The place is very homely it makes you want to kick your feet and and relax. The food is very delicious the impossible burger looks and taste out of this world.

Very surprisingly tasty homemade black bean burger. The French fries have also a unique crunchy delicious taste. The deco is really vegan type. For me, the mirror of a restaurant is the restroom so I always go first there. The restroom was really cleaned but they should be more cautious as there wasn’t any paper left to dry hands. 😖 The staff made us felt welcomed. If you are looking for tasty vegan food, that’s the place! Good job guys!

Came here with my husband while visiting Tallahassee from Atlanta. The oyster mushrooms are the best ones I have EVER had. The batter is amazing - a little spicy/peppery and perfectly crispy, while not being too heavy. Tasted so much like fried chicken. I wish I could pick this place up and take it home to Atlanta! We will definitely be back.

We went there today for the first time. Delicious food. A local family Black Owned Business. A little high price wise. You walk in order the food and pay then. Then you have to go back to the counter when your food is ready and get your food. They do not bring the food to your table. But the food was great

I love patronizing local eatery's and found this little gem. I had the humus veggie wrap (small portion) and my friend had the black bean burger. Both of us agreed the food and service was worth paying a little more for. And it's good to support our community instead of corporate dining!!

This place is great. My niece took us there today and she let me try her Chik'n Philly Cheese Steak. I love the flavor of the jackfruit and the texture. I thought it was chicken. I also tried the gluten free waffle and it was great. I'm not a vegan but I'm telling you the food there is worth trying.

I had the virgin pina colada icee and the vegan tacos. The icee was refreshing, very pineapple forward. I didn’t realize the tacos would have a crunchy shell, which isn’t my preference. I would try another item on my next visit.

Edit- My original post was made about a month ago. I have no complaints since then. Social vegan is one of the few places in Tallahassee that i can eat at. ( due to my dietary restrictions.) Walking in they have one of the best services that you can ask for. Nice, respectful the whole nine yards. I have had many encounters with the manager and she is one of the nicest people I have met, very humble and proud of her establishment and all of its success. Literally eating here is one of my Sunday routines. Now the bad. If you ordering online DONT. I have had TOO many instances where I could not contact the driver or false pick ups. Remind you this is through their personal website, but do not worry they will stop at nothing to tell you how this is DoorDash's fault. Granted that is their chosen app to order food, the costumer is not made aware of this entity. Instead it is Social Vegan's website that informs you of your order. (and It does not do well at this). They will not do remakes, which is understandable because it may result in huge losses of revenue but their website may need a huge makeover to help customers receive their orders. Was offered a free meal next visit that I declined because I honestly love this place and support them in all their endeavors. I used to call it " My little bit of Something in the City of Nothing." I wish my interaction with the manager went better because she always been sweet and this instance does not change my mind about the quality of Social Vegan's in-house food or service. I can however begged the establishment to please work on your app or have your store on the doordash app so i can directly contact my drivers. Beside that i wish the best with social vegan its a shame though but they are and is one of the best places in Tallahassee. Just wish they could of handle the situation better.
