So arrived around 8:30pm was greeted nicely by bartender. . Sat down with wife at bar ordered 2 drinks kettle on rocks, & Malibu & pineapple . Bartender says that will $ 20.00 + $5.00 tip . I think that’s a bit steep for 2 drinks for a local place. Now there were 6 of us going to have dinner & additional cocktails , the food was good mostly sandwiches & 1 entree. Nicely done kitchen staff. We know we were cutting it close to the kitchen closing & we were explained several times of the kitchen closing & At what time. At that time of the night & the waitress was very nice , she just needed to checkin more as one of our guest had to literally get up and go to the bar and get another drink. Really nice staff though.

Odd mixture of really good food combined with just ok food. I had the chicken parm. The cutlet was amazing but the sauce, which was supposed to be a vodka sauce, wasn’t. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t good. Same thing goes for my wife’s sandwich and sweet potato fries. The fries were amazing but the sandwich was just ok. The ingredients they used in the sandwich were high quality, it just wasn’t executed well.

We've gone here before when it was the office and the food was fabulous, so we decided to try it out. Our waitress was lovely and very accommodating. The food, however, left something to be desired for sure. My husband enjoyed his wings but the chile was way too sweet. I first tried the brie BLT which sounded fabulous! It was brie spread, lettuce, and bacon with raspberry mayo on sourdough bread. YUM!! I was so excited to try it so when I took my first bite, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. It tasted like nothing more then a BLT. And when you're paying $14 for a BLT it should be a fabulous sandwich!! My second bite was all brie so back it went. There was about five people in there, so it's not like it was crazy busy! I then tried the italian chicken cutlet sandwich, which looked fabulous when it hit the table but boy oh boy disappointment number two for me. There was absolutely no flavor at all. I was then charged six dollars for sweet potato fries to go that should have been part of my meal. In addition, we were charged a "convenience" fee of nearly 5 bucks. For my takeout fries???? I would have thought the $125.00 plus we spent between drinks and food that was subpar was enough of a punishment.

Ordered a Cajun burger, cheesesteak sandwich, and bang bang shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious.

Stopped by randomly after driving by this place yesterday. Got there for the post-lunch rush. Sarah was bartender and was awesome. You could tell she blabs great rapport with regular customers and was extremely friendly and attentive. Ordered the wedge salad with steak and it was AMAZING! Steak was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Will definitely add this spot in my rotation of meal stops.

My now wife and I recently had our rehearsal dinner here, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the experience! The upstairs room was just what we were looking for in a smaller, private space for this event. The service, food, and drink were all amazing as well. In addition, their owner Sean was extremely helpful and easy to work with in coordinating all this. We couldn't recommend The Valley House Bar & Restaurant more!

First let me say I'm not an easy one to satisfy. That being said I dine out quite often many times with large groups for special occasions. From the high end restaurants to the small Italian eateries. Last night I had the pleasure of dining at the Valley House and WOW. There were 22 of us and as I do understand the logistical problems with serving large parties Kegan and his crew killed it. They were friendly and personable and very responsive of everyone's requests. I had the calamari appetizer and the Buffalo chopped salad. Top notch. I also had a side of fries and as simple as that sounds they came to table hot and now are on my list as one of favorite fries. Others at my table had the pork chops and some had sandwiches. Everyone one was more then satisfied. So I give Valley House 10 stars for service and the friendly atmosphere the staff provided and 10 stars for the quality of all of our dishes. To Kegan I understand the difficulties involved with serving the public. Some have bad days and bring it to you and your crew understandably making your job more difficult. Keep that pleasant professional attitude you had last night and I'm sure you have a very bright future ahead of you. Thank you

My wife and I love this place, We have decided to make this our go to place, The staff is exceptional friendly. The drinks are always wonderful and the food is consistently very tasty!

Got a bunch of food. It was ok. All 8 of the buffalo wings were the flats! That means they ate the good ones in the kitchen.

Totally overrated. Not worth it for being crammed into a table with not much space between you and the next table.

The food is good. But service and ambience lack. Could use some updating to match the menu. Also no kids menu

Found this place on a ride with some buddies. The food and service were tops. The kitchen took pride in the order. Everything looked great and tasted perfect. Everyone in our group finished their meal. Will definitely visit again.

Just got charged a Convenience Fee... I was told, if I paid cash it would be waived. Really??? Guess we are at that point in life. Every restaurant will start to do this. But not all I hope.

My husband and I went to dinner here at 6:30 on a Monday night. The bar was hopping but the restaurant was not busy. The atmosphere is cozy—wooden walls and ceiling, leather booths and nice lighting..feels like a European pub. As an appetizer, we ordered the burrata and it was fantastic (just wish they served it with more bread😂). For mains, we split the Chicken Parm with vodka sauce over linguine and the chicken cutlet sandwich with stuffed long hots and sweet potato fries (although they are definitely a caloric splurge the sweet potato fries are to die for—they are crinkle cut but flatter than most fries which probably maximizes the oil to potato ratio, hence why they are possibly the most delicious I’ve ever tasted😅). I wish I had taken pics because everything was plated beautifully, but it looked so good that we were too eager to dig in! ☺️ We finished with the chocolate ganache cheesecake which was also delicious. Finally, our server was great too—attentive to our needs without being intrusive.

Been frequenting VH since they opened and have loved the food so much. Great variety. Greek salad is fantastic and they have the best salmon! Always perfectly cooked! The staff is fantastic and always helpful & friendly!

The Food was good! The inside is super cool and there is a ton of parking. The service was SLOOOOOOOWWWWW. I think it was because it was a Thursday and very busy, but it really was a bit painful. I'm hoping it was just a fluke, so no need to dock any stars. We will be back :-)

No music? They absolutely were understaffed that night. Our food came out ten minutes after our order was taken - 5 stars for that. The app was amazing but our burger, whose name has Ranch in it, had no ranch! The place got so full that our server didn’t come back to our table for 40 minutes. Turns out, my girlfriend said, he got slammed with two 8-tops; to magnify the dysfunction, we saw two servers and four runners in the entire room… it was a disaster. I will not go back.

Love this place. Great work team lunch spot but perfect for casual family dining too. Food is exceptional and widely varied for different tastes. Service is outstanding! Can't say enough about this place.

Truly excellent service and great food at a beautiful bar. Older crowd, Penn State boomers. There's parking around back so don't worry about the awkward front lot. And maybe try sitting at the super cute little back bar. Seems like it'd be good for a date depending on the atmosphere, it was a sports bar when I got there.

I just had the best Caesar salad in my entire life. It was fabulous. The chicken was scrumptious and the flavors were mouth watering.

Went for the Eagles game this past Sunday. The game was on the tv with no sound. The food was plain. Expected to be good like the previous restaurant there but not even close.

I'm visiting on business and happened to be staying across the street. I feel so fortunate that I made the decision to go the The Valley House Bar & Restaurant. This is not an Applebees or any other chain. This place has a ton of character and a real local feel. The crowd is an eclectic mix of young and old and yet it seems everyone knows one another. The staff is so welcoming that I think they drive this friendly mindset. As for the food, I first ordered the French Onion Soup and the broth was outstanding. Deep, complex flavor you don't usually find. Then I add their cheesesteak. I'm no cheesesteak critic but I thought it was incredible. I ordered it with mushrooms, onions and peppers, but the meat was still the star and it was a very generous portion. The cheese was melted throughout and it was just exceptionally good. I highly recommend coming to this place if you're in the area.

Super busy place and for a great reason. Entire experience was Top Notch! We were acknowledged and seated within minutes. Both owner and server saw to our needs. Service was excellent as was the food and beverage offerings. Eager to get back for more of the same!

Had a birthday celebration here last night! I was expecting the usual pub fare , boy was I surprised. We had 7 in our party & everyone’s food was amazing! The speciality drinks were delicious, service friendly & quick! This is a 45 minute drive from home but I will be back!

We went to The Valley House for the first time last night and were blown away. Everything was amazing!! The food was hands down some of the best food I've eaten in a while. Everything was cooked perfectly. The wings were massive!! The calamari was so good. The service was incredibly fast. The atmosphere was great. I honestly can't say enough great things about this place. All of the staff were so friendly and kind!!! We sat inside, but the outdoor seating looked great too. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will absolutely be back again.

I go to this area a lot for training, I've been looking for a spot that reminds me of my hometown bar. This place is really close, amazing food and good drinks. I'll be going to this place every visit to this area. Oh, and bonus, they loaded my cheese steak with meat.

This was a great lunch. I work in Great Valley and since the pandemic there are less and less places to eat. 7 of us went here for a work lunch and it was REALLY good. The food was tasty, service was fast and it didn't take too long (although it isn't quick serve if you have a limited lunch hour). Price was reasonable. We all agreed we would return.

Went yesterday and today, already can't wait to go back! I'll start by saying the service was attentive and friendly both at the bar and in the dining area, great first impression. Sat at the bar for lunch on the first Saturday of March Madness. Wood tones make for a warm bar area, and memorabilia with nods to Philly sports and music legends are a cool touch. Very solid beer selection with a variety of styles both craft and staples, strong bourbon menu and cocktail list. The cheesesteak was excellent - fresh soft seeded roll, cooper sharp and whatever else you like, I did fried onion and hot peppers - it's awesome. Also had the bee sting wings which I'd get again. Then brought my family for Sunday lunch and sat in the dining area which is separate from the bar. Big TV so you won't miss the game, too. Kid's menu offered plenty of options. Had the Italian cutlet sandwich which was really good. Excited to try one of their smash burgers next time. This place has a lot to offer. Whether hanging with a few friends for drinks, taking the family for lunch or dinner, or happy hour after work, Valley House can handle it.

Great cheesesteak and turkey club. First time here, service at bar was great. Food excellent. Will be back! We came back, had a delicious Reuben. My lady wanted an orange crush but they had no orange juice. Well they went to the store to buy some! Love this place!

This is one of those friendly type places that everyone seems to know each other or atleast they act that way. Can't believe how good the food was. I'm going back with friends rather then co-workers next time. It's great location near my office park in Malvern. We'll done around!!!

I should’ve known better than to order a “Birria” Quesadilla from a Bar. Lesson Learned. The Quesadilla was not flavorful or good, the “Birria” stew was absolutely horrible. It smelled like tomatoes and was full of oil with no flavor at all. The name for the menu item should be completely changed because it is false advertisement.

Different cheesesteak #1052 in the last five years. I had really high hopes for this place. It has a 4.8 rating on Google maps. It is in the high rent district and the cheesesteak (base model) is $14. Malvern, Christmas, 4.8, I was really hoping to see a lot of women showing off 52 weeks of yogi in their Nordstrom’s Santa Sexy Chic outfits. Not the case. Good neighborhood bar & restaurant. The bartender was awesome (and handsome). The cheesesteak had a decent meat flavor. I was very disappointed in the french fries.

I came here because of a recommendation. 100% approved. I am not much of a pork chop guy but was told this one is the best. Loved it. I want to come back to try a bunch of other options.

I really wanted to like this restaurant, as this area sorely needs another good dining option. After reading all the rave reviews posted here, I had high expectations. However, the app and entrée we tried to order were sold out. The food was delivered at rapid pace less than 5 minutes after placing our order. Makes me wonder if the food is prepared in advance. Unfortunately, one of the entrées was incorrect. My wife had to wait while they prepared the correct entrée, sharing my entrée with me until hers was served. The wait staff were friendly and attentive.

I had the chicken enchiladas special. Omg, I’m in heaven! I’m of Mexican decent and moved here from San Diego. Have tried many “Mexican “ restaurants that totally missed the mark. This special is the real deal!! So happy to have discovered this gem of a restaurant!!

Drew, Sean and their crew are KILLING at their new place. This is noting like their predecessor in the same building. The service was great and the bartender was hustling making sure that everyone at the packed bar had a drink. However, my favorite part was the food. This is not a place serving dumpy bar food (though they do have some great bar food). Tonight we had the pork chop - one of the top two I have eaten. And the ravioli special - again an absolute 10 rating. Prices are very reasonable as well. Can't wait to get back and try a burger!

We've dined here a few times now. Always great service. Tonight Debbie was our server, very friendly and efficient. The Chicken dinner was good and the Meatball Parmesan was hot and delicious.

Been to the Valley House several times now since it opened so a review. Neat combination of a vintage tavern and cafe look. Plenty of parking. There is a bar area with high top tables and separate large dining room. Very comfortable and nice. Large variety of beer on tap so something for everyone. Cold too. Friendly knowledgeable staff behind the bar and in the dining room. Service is terrific, a nice environment. The menu has meats and fish and pasta dishes. Their burgers (and fries) rank right up there with some of the best I’ve ever had. That’s no exaggeration either. But I’ve tried several other items also and their pork chop is tops, it’s amazing. The cheese steak and calamari appetizers are great. I had their steak couple weeks ago, spot on MR. The food is very good. Several specials every night and I’m attaching a pic of my halibut dish with mash and asparagus in a mild curry sauce. Fish was cooked perfectly, delicious dish. Highly recommend Valley House. It’s a great addition to an area with lots of good options.

We stopped in yesterday afternoon for a couple drinks and a bite to eat. The service is excellent, friendly and prompt. The food is fresh, well prepared and very tasty. Pricing is quite reasonable as well. We'll definitely be back.

I was in for lunch today.. Nice chap behind the bar.. Ordered up the meatball parmesan on a long roll.. I can easily say it was probably one of the best meatball sandwiches I've ever eaten. Good selection of beer. You gotta wash that sandwich down with something. I'll take the yards pal ale please.

Excellent food, drinks, and service! The quesadillas were amazing and my mother in law loved the BBQ chicken salad. The espresso martini was delicious and my fiance loved the mezcal paloma. Happy to have a great restaurant to go to away from downtown phoenixville.
