Vicksburg has had several decent BBQ joints come and go since I got here in 2015. Tommy's is, by far, the best. I didn't think I liked Brisket until I had theirs. Also have a good selection of local beer, homemade desserts, and other miscellanies. Great place to take the family.

Very friendly people. You can try a sample of food before ordering.Turkey club sandwich, brisket, bacon wrapped jalapeño, coleslaw, tomatoes and okra, etc.....all excellent! Powdered sugar pecan treats for sale. Inside seating with large televisions on the wall. Bottles of delicious bbq sauce on each table. Huge tomatoes and watermelons for sale. Highly recommend Timmy's BBQ.

BQ is really good and the sides. Service is great, as well, something you do not find to often these days.

Friendly people and delicious food

First time there, greeted by a local customer. He asked if it was my first time here, then introduced me to the staff and picked up his to go order while I tasted samples of their meats. Ordered sausage, smoked turkey and of brisket to eat there and a couple pounds to go. Delicious.

The brisket was great . The baked beans were very good and the Cole slaw was the best I’ve had in a long time

Their brisket sandwich is out of this world. I love how they even ask what type of cut I want in terms of lean vs fatty. Best bbq around!

Cozy place, very good food and excellent service

The food is delicious! Best BBQ in town and best BBQ I have had in years. The prices are good and the portions are large. The staff is very wonderful, nice and professional. Tommy's also offers his delicious food for large party orders. They just need a couple to a few days in advance. What I really loved about ordering through Tommy's for a retirement party is they sent me my order ticket through text which included my name, my phone number, the date and the time I was to pick up my order. This really put my mind at ease.

Outstanding BBQ. Do not miss out on it. If you're within driving distance, do your self a favor and stop in. Brisket, beans, and Mac were all great. I wish there was another in Texas!

This place was good! Best brisket I've had in a while. The pulled pork sandwich was also nice.. totaled to ~$35. I hear it's the best bbq on Vicksburg and I'm not mad at that

My family had dinner on 7.21 at around 4:30 pm. They had ran out of potato salad, Texas twinkies, and a few other items. The “baked beans” were straight out of a can. The meat was almost dry (chicken and ribs). The ribs had lots of cracked pepper, making it too hot, almost inedible. The sauce was sweet.

It's a great spot for a good meal, consistent good food each time we've gone.

I ordered way more than I needed. And the peaches was great, too.

I gave it 4 because it's a greasy spoon. And I'm not supposed to eat there, but I did anyway. And it was pretty good, but again. I'm not supposed to eat there, so they had everything I need.

The food was excellent. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Plenty of food for you money. We will be stopping by again when we're in town.

Wow! We were next door getting gas & the aroma of this establishment lured us in like Yogi Bear to a picnic basket. 🤤 We met the owner, Tommy. You can tell he puts his whole heart into his business. He greeted us like family & immediately offered samples of his meats. Y'all. We live 4 hours away & will be making the drive once a month for this bbq. Everything was beyond exceptional. The smoked turkey is so good it'll make you cry. Same with the brisket. The homemade sauce is perfectly sweet, smokey, & tangy. I always get a good ole pulled pork sammie when trying somewhere new. This one was stacked! Huge helping of pork, layered with coleslaw, & that famous sauce upon request. I write this post sitting in Little Rock, AR, wondering if I'm going to end up in Vicksburg, just to bring back Tommy's this week!!!

So far the best BBQ food I have eaten I live in New Orleans and because of my husband's work we were here for a few days and without a doubt the best food I ate was from TOMMY's BBQ thank you thank you I wish one of you were in New Orleans

Wow! Visiting the area and looking for something easy to take back to the RV. We got pulled pork sandwiches, lean brisket, beans and mac & cheese. Amazing!!! Large portions. Can't speak about the banana pudding because we're too stuffed to eat it!!!

The absolute BEST fatty brisket I’ve ever had!!! Beef rib was also tender and great flavor.

Found Tommy’s on the way back from the beach. Our group tried the BBQ pork sandwich, smoked burger, Texas Twisters, and baked potato with pulled pork and we were all impressed with everything we tried. I saw someone with a brisket rib that looked big enough for Fred Flintstone. Wow! Price ranges would fit most budgets.

There’s simply none better. The Turkey sandwich is sublime! A half pound of heaven encapsulated in a bum! Absolutely the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life.

Tommy's BBQ is our place to eat BBQ love his smoked chicken and BBQ meat.

I’m not.a mac and cheese guy but that was best I’ve had very creamy and great smoke flavor, Meat was awesome watch him pull it and put on the bun, super tender

Good food and service is fast. It is mainly for takeout. Air conditioned inside seating. Eli is always very helpful.

This place was phenomenal! Very reasonable prices, great size servings and the most delicious brisket ever! Great service. We were passing through and sure wish it was in our town back home!

Amazing! We couldn"t efinish everything so before we started our 3 and 1/2 hour drive home the next morning we all agree that if something catastrophic would happen my husband was to forget everything in the car and grab the barbecue. It had to survive! We just got home and made an amazing quesadilla dinner out of the leftover brisket and beef ribs. It's even better the next day.! Oh and make sure and try the homemade dessert... I can't remember what they called it... But it's like little crispy pecan cookies rolled in powdered sugar and I hope I have a dream about it tonight. Thank you Tommy and all of your wonderful employees. Will definitely be back.

Visited from the UK on our way down the Blues Highway, the perfect spot for amazing BBQ food and Mexican cola! Had a great chat with the guys working there, they gave us some brilliant recommendations for our onward trip to Natchez and New Orleans. Ribs and brisket 10/10. Gave us tasters of other meats and their gumbo before we ordered which was a brilliant touch! Hope to visit again soon!!

Excellent pulled pork! Not dry like some places. Brisket was top notch too. Gumbo was good but saltier than I prefer. Glad we stopped. After we finished, we got more meat to go. Great music too. On Highway 61.

Great food! We stopped in for lunch when driving through. The smell of the smoker when you get out of your car is a hint of the delicious food to come. Service was fast and staff were friendly. We had the pulled pork and it was tender and tasty. Highly recommend stopping.

Best brisket I’ve ever tasted. Smoked sausage was delicious. Baked beens were my favorite side and we all enjoyed the homemade Banana Pudding!

The barbecue is excellent and don't miss the barbecue sauce. It's homemade and delicious.

Stopped in to grab some bbq. They were super nice gave samples of some food. Some of the best bbq i have ever had… will definitely be going back when I’m back in the area.. wish I would have found this place at the beginning of my stay instead of the day before i left. I had the pulled pork, brisket, and the texas twinkies.

Traveling with a lot of kids is a lot, and finding places willing to accomodate 11 is very difficult. Tommy's welcomed us in with open arms, made us & our kids feel so welcomed. Gave gummy bears to the kids, complimentary buns and desert. We have not been treated so well on our week long travels! Thank you, Tommy's! The food was amazing, and it was so great to feel so welcomed!! Five stars!!!

Delicious BBQ! I stopped by and grabbed the brisket sandwich and street corn. First time trying and definitely won’t be the last. That was some of the best brisket I’ve had better than a lot of the bbq joints out in Texas. 10/10 WOULD recommend!

We were back in town for thanksgiving and were craving BBQ today. We stopped into Tommy’s without looking up reviews so we had zero expectations. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff, and they were all extremely friendly. They provided us samples, which changed my order as I’m typically not a big fan of brisket. Out of everything we tasted that was definitely the best, followed closely by the sausage. Between all of us we tried almost everything. We were blown away by all of it! This is definitely a restaurant to travel long distances for, I can’t wait until we’re back in town.

Great tasting meat. They smoke their meat on site. they have very competitive prices. Large Sandwiches with plenty meat.

OMG! Some of the best BBQ I've had in a long time! Absolutely perfectly prepared and the sauce is to die for. The beef brisket, pulled pork, greens and Mac and Cheese are all highly recommended!

Great BBQ in the area so far, and they had a decent selection of craft beer. Outside seating, old blues playing, and fans a blowing. This time of year was very nice to sit outside. First thing, I love salt, and for me, the food was fantastic. For others, it might be a touch too salty. The baby backs were just about perfect; tender with some pull, seasoned well, but for me, I would like a touch more smoke. The brisket was amazing. I asked for the fattier piece, and was not disappointed. Tender, tasty, but maybe a touch salty for some. The collard greens were top notch, but maybe salty for some. When I return, and it will be soon, I'm trying the pull pork and beef ribs, and probably the greens again. I will be ordering the brisket and ribs again. They were that good. Some of the best BBQ I've had since the old Letha's. IYKYK Wish they would have some sort of sampler plates so us newbies can try a little of everything. Highly recommend!!!!

First time in Vicksburg. The place looks like a BBQ restaurant should. The food was amazing and there was so much of it. The people working there were personable, polite and friendly. I got ribs, brisket and collard greens. All I can say is WOW !!!. If Tommy was here 160 years ago you could have fed the yanks to death

What an absolute FANTASTIC find as we were headed to Vicksburg craving barbecue, Tommy's delivered on every level from the homemade barbecue sauce, ribs, turkey and brisket all were sensational including the banana pudding which so so good. Only complaint it's not close to home, but definitely a stop on our way to coast. See ya'll next time Tommy!!

Brisket was the best I have eaten but it was literally just a few pieces of brisket for $15 and that did NOT even include any sides. Flavor was delicious I just didn't think it was a great portion for the money. We also had street tacos and they were delicious.

We stopped to eat a late lunch/early dinner on our way back home to New Orleans. The food was excellent. I wish they had brisket. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was ok, but only two indoor tables. It was 100 degrees outside a cool indoor space world have been amazing. Other than the lack of brisket and cool space, everything was great. I will definitely stop by next time I drive through.

Do yourself a favor and eat here. Everything is fantastic and we especially loved the street tacos, brisket, collard greens, and tres leches cake! You can tell how much love and care is put into the food here so it’s worth every penny.

Delicious BBQ! They guy let me try the turkey and the brisket before I ordered- both were amazing! Ordered the tacos with brisket and pulled pork and loved them both. (For what it’s worth, if I ranked the meats it would go brisket, turkey, pork, but don’t think that’s a ding on anything) Menu is all à la carte. Would like to see a combo plate option for lunch, but at least the menu is clear so you aren’t lost. Refrigerators have a wide selection of sodas, teas, and beers to choose from. Tons of outdoor seating. It’s covered and has massive fans, so it’s still nice and cool

It was my first time trying this place while visiting for work and I am more than pleased with the experience. I ordered tacos : 2 brisket / 2 pulled pork both were absolutely delicious 😋 but the brisket is 🔥 I also had a side of collar greens I added their vinegar sauce and lime to it and man. They were also really good . I will be coming back for sure the owner and staff are really friendly they definitely make you feel welcomed.

Amazing Food. We found this BBQ place on our way to Louisiana. Believe me this one of the best BBQ places we’ve ever eaten. We order baby ribs and brisket and the taste so delicious. 100% recommended. Thank You Mr. Tommy for my tres leches cake so good .Thank Mr.Elias

Great food! First time there had pulled pork sandwich, slaw and key lime pie! All were fantastic! Kudos to Tommy and his staff that is how good bbq supposed to taste. Im a local and first time there but won't be my last! Next time im bringing others!

I got a BBQ sandwich with potato salad to go. The bbq was delicious. The potato salad was in a small plastic container and it was good. I did not order a drink.

Order at counter BBQ. Ordered fatty brisket and smoked turkey. Both were moist and delicious. Sides to me were mediocre.

We ordered a slab of baby back ribs, potato salad, and baked beans. The baby back ribs were so good! The barbecue sauce was my favorite! Definitely will be back

I know they are just getting started and have a long way to go but no Mac and cheese, beans are more vinegary than necessary, not enough sauce to go on the pulled pork sandwich. Staff seem to drift around not knowing what to do. Take out only unless you want to sit in a patio area.

The BEST bbq sandwich in Vicksburg. We get the pulled pork sandwich and it’s piled high with meat. The sauce is tangy and delicious. It’s different from bbq sauce I’m used to but I really like it. They have been friendly both times we’ve been there. It’s on the way to the lake so it’s convenient to grab lunch on the way

We’re from the Southern Plains of Western Oklahoma, smack in the middle of cattle country. We too recognize a good cut and quality of meat. In my estimation, this place plays second fiddle to nobody. We had as tender and flavorful serving of brisket as you’ll find anywhere. The pulled pork will earn this place high praise on its own, but if the other cuts are even in the same ball bark, the gravel parking lot as it’s currently laid out probably won’t accommodate the traffic once word is out. I suppose you could grumble a little over the price until you see quantity of meat heaped up on the bun and peaking out the side of the box—my wife declares her sandwich would feed 2-1/2 souls—then that argument goes mute. Without a doubt, this place will be on my radar screen for next year’s excursion south.

It was OK. My wife and I both got a pulled pork sandwich. The meat was not very warm and had very little flavor. I got baked beans. They were okay but the barbecue sauce tasted like ketchup and hot sauce. It seemed like it was there 1st day open. Maybe it will improve over time. I will say the portions of food where good sized and the service was good.

So far, it's really good. I like the fact that they use hardwood, not propane. I was really happy with the ribs, best pork loin back ribs in town. The pulled pork was almost perfect, but was still great. The sauce is great also. I'll eventually try the brisket and update this review. Definitely the best BBQ around since I stopped cooking.
