Tiny, one of the best, most authentic Italian family restaurants in Naples. Flavorful, traditional menu options, reservation recommended. During season, impossible to get a table without one. Very common to find overflow eating outside at the outdoor dining area. We go on special occasions, and for us, it is a delicious traditional Italian favorite.

Cute place when you first walk in. We thought the food was less than fantastic considering the price isn't exactly cheap.

The best local spot for Italian food! Homemade pasta & gnocchi, delicious food, fresh bread, a Nero D’Avola by the glass. Attentive service. A lovely, family-owned operation. You can feel the love in here. Great owners and staff. Call for a reservation.

This was our first visit and it was great to be welcomed with smiles. The food and service were excellent. We shared sautéed calamari for an app and it was excellent. I ordered the Veal Mangia and it was exceptional. My wife ordered the gnocchi with pesto sauce and it was also excellent. We topped off the dinner with a tartuffo dessert. We will be back soon.

My family absolutely loves Trattoria Mangia! The service is great but the food is amazing! I'm fairly critical of Italian food and I must say that every dish I've had here is wonderful. The homemade pastas and sauces are great! Tonight for me it was the Chicken Parmigiana feature with Pomodoro sauce. Delicious!! I wish I had taken pictures but everything was so good that I couldn't delay digging in. Thank you, Trattoria Mangia for another wonderful meal!

This place is outstanding! Every time we are in Naples (which is about 4 to 5 times a year) we go there for dinner. Sonia and her team go out of their way to make everything perfect. The chef, her husband, never disappoints with his gastronomic delights! Love, love, love the place! You feel like family there too— so warm and welcoming! ❤️

This place is a hidden gem in Naples. Sonia the owner makes you feel welcome. The food is outstanding and all pasta is made on site. Best Italian food I’ve ever eaten.

First time here and everything was excellent!! I had the ravioli boscaiola with shrimp and it was very tasty I cleaned the plate. Service is fantastic as well, very attentive and friendly. Smiles all around and will definitely return for more :)

We visited Trattoria Mangia this evening and were very disappointed in the dishes we received. The Fraglia appetizer was sparse, there was one shrimp in this plate with a "few" literal baby strips of zucchini and some not so good calamari. The dinners were unfortunately not that much better, the penne was undercooked and the cavatelli with shrimp literally resembled a dish of maggots with undercooked shrimp and was inedible. We did inform the busser that we we didn't like the meals but it ended there. Also, we never saw our waitress after our initial order. I understand they are busy but would have loved the opportunity for her to see what went back to the kitchen or garbage, Needless to say, there was "room" for dessert but wasn't willing to continue spending money in this establishment. The table next to us was loud and obnoxious but we did over hear them saying 2 of their meals were horrible and regardless of their "condition" i am sad to say I believe them based on our experience. The atmosphere was cute and cozy, This restaurant came highly recommended and I am sad it did not meet the minimalist of expectations.

RUDE RUDE RUDE...We made a reservation prior to coming in.So not only was the lady that was running things there rude to our party once she was rude to us twice. If she couldnt accomodate our party because they were too busy or overbooked then she shouldnt have made a reservarion. We show up early only to be told if I seat you I need the table back. In other words eat and get out. What kind of impression is this on your customers. I was repeatedly told I told you I am too busy you called last minute. We were willing to be patient as we are no strangers to busy restaurants but certainly not to be rude to our party not once but twice, I am sure just the same way they treated us the food and everything else would have been less than acceptable.I don't give my business to be treated poorly!

It has really been a long time since I came to such a familiar place, such a happy place, such a cozy place, the food was really good, I felt like I was in Italy, the attention is the best I have received in so long, thank you very much for having made this moment so wonderful. We came without a reservation on a Saturday night,the owner found a place for us outside The service was excellent and so was the food The red Snapper was perfect What a great hidden place I will be back and can highly recommend Ulf

Sonia is lovely and the food was truly authentic Italian We had no reservation and were still accomidated and it was so worth waiting I suggest a reservation but it is worth it you will not be disappointed

Pasta is excellent but the gorgonzola sauce could have been tastier. The starter of mozarella di parma was a little more disappointing considering that the price was $20 and that it was not fresh mozarella and the proccuito was not of very high quality. Otherwise, overall we are satisfied. Great discovery in Naples!

We showed up on a Thursday night with no reservations, yet were seated right away on their only available tables outside, which is fine as it’s season and we had no reservations or wait time. Staff was polite and quick to take our order, food came quick and was delicious, the Tiramisu was one of the best I’ve had, we had ordered a to-go meal which came at the right time. Overall, highly recommended place

We heard many wonderful comments about Trattoria Mangia, we felt we had to try it. We were not disappointed! I wanted to try a variety of food, so we ordered the calamari appetizer - incredible! We had a side of the broccoli rabe, which I could have made a meal out of alone! We had a veal which was wonderfully tender and flavorful, and a pork loin that was to die for, stuffed with prosciutto, spinach and cheese. Our waitress was attentive and quick. The whole experience was Outstanding!

When the menus suggests you have to try the meat lasagna …you try the meat lasagna and it didn’t disappoint! Hubby really enjoyed his dish as well! We well be back for more food! Salad was fresh as well! Sorry we were too hungry and ate right out of the container

Just passing through on our way back home to Tampa from Key West. I called while driving through Alligator Alley to make sure they were open (there was a photo that said they were closed till September 3). Last Saturday they're open till then, we made it! Dressed for a road trip, we made reservations anyway. This place is perfectly IT-kitchy, reminding me of all the best Italian family restaurants in NYC. Almost everything is made to-order, in-house, and OMG so good! I got the gnocchi gorgonzola and added grilled chicken. The Manimal got chicken Parm. The portions are HUGE, three meals for me, two for him. I'm fine with that! The service is awesome (Sylvana), the music is fitting for the restaurant and at the PERFECT volume where you can hear it AND talk to people without yelling (well, if you're Italian, you might be doing that anyway). I think this might be the stopping point for every drive to or through Naples from now on. Also, it's not far from I-75. And it was my birthday week so I had three tiramisu! In house made, of course!!

The food was pretty good. A bit much when it comes to the sauces on the dishes. The music playing outside was to loud and annoying. Our servers were out of this world. It did take too long to get the bill and check it.

Review of Trattoria Mangia Italian restaurant. Met up with friends from Community for a 6 person 7pm reservation at around 630 and were seated & greeted promptly. Got comfortable and a few minutes waitress introduced herself took our drink orders: 1 bottle of wine 2 beers 1 glass house wine and my diet coke Drinks arrived with a smile then asked if separate bills or all together (waitress asked). Order apps. Chatted for a bit and enjoyed the atmosphere about 10mins all apps arrived 1 pasta fazool soup😆 2 fried calamari 1 bruschetta bread 2 others I forgot (oops) We enjoyed it all. Next came 3 raviolis in white sauce w/prosciutto mushrooms n capers 1 Fried fish over pasta 1 Gnocchi with house sauce (was kinda spicy but not annoying) 1 House dish (Manicotti, Lasagna, Canneloni) in a meat sauce. We enjoyed it all, not a bump in service and will return... Thats all I can say buy Go Try !

Updated review. Went back to the restaurant with friends. Six people ordered different dishes and three of them were very disappointed. Not as memorable as the first visit. Will probably not return. Restaurant is very crowded inside, only option to avoid the heat outside.

A neighbor location. Small, but good service. We were lucky to arrive about 5:30 ish after playing golf. We sat at last of about 14 tables, all others were reserved.

I ate there last night which is Wednesday, March 22, 2023 after reading the reviews previously posted. I did not have a reservation although I arrived there about 8:30 PM. I had read the reviews most of which were excellent and some few that were not. I was alone but I had my service dog who is a golden doodle. Sonya was very accommodating and I believe she is either the owner or the manager. I ate outside which was very pleasant and I had the special which consisted Of chicken and veal and shrimp Franchaise which was excellent. My server Angela was sweet and gave me first class service. I have never written a review before this place absolutely deserved it.

Food is excellent every time, service is excellent every time, prices are very fair. Our favorite place to dine.

Very disappointing! We had an 8pm reservation and had to wait more than a half-hour before we were seated. There was no where to wait and no one bothered to see if we wanted a glass of wine while we waited. This is the second time this has happened. The waitress proceeded to tell us all of the things that were unavailable from the menu and specials. A basket of bread was brought to the table, cold and old tasting. We could not eat. The pasta side was like straw and we could not eat. The only thing decent about the meal was the desert which we were told was not made in house. Based on the last two times I have been to this place I would definitely not recommend. My party will not go back.

Small space, so you definitely need reservations. Phenomenal food. So worth it; you will not be disappointed. It's a true Italian restaurant with a menu that is true to its roots and difficult to choose.especially with their daily specials...all so good. Match that with a wonderful wine list and Italian beer..who knew? Strongly recommend!

Definitely a total deception. Someone recommended me this restaurant so I went with my wife. Too pricey for the food they serve. On the positive side, service was good and the tiramisu was great. There's the two stars

Good to great food. Great service. A little pricey but comparable to other Naples restaurants. The lasagnetta (sp?) appetizer was good. Kind of a deconstructed lasagna. Red sauce is really good. Dinner comes with bread which was really good a small salad of mixed greens, carrots, and Italian dressing. My favorite was the meatballs.

This is a tiny piece of Italy in America. It made me miss Italy so much. The gnocchi was so delicious, sweet and soft. The seafood was all cooked to perfection. Every single thing we ordered was so delicious. The service and atmosphere is wonderful. It is the most welcoming restaurant I have eaten at!

The best Italian restaurant in Naples. Everything fresh and homemade.

Not too impressed with this place. I ordered the Cavatelli Michelle and found the dish to be bland and oily. There was literally a pool of oil at the bottom of my dish. It was almost inedible. I’ve had the same pasta + broccoli rabe dish at other restaurants and they were all prepared much better and were much tastier than this. My father ordered the Veal Mangia. It had a sloppy presentation, and he felt that the kalamata olives were overpowering. Although I’m not a local, I’m sure you can find better quality Italian food than this in Naples. The service was friendly though, so at least that’s one positive.
