I got the quarter chicken with rice. Medium spice. Wasn’t expecting much but it was delicious. The place was really clean the staff was very friendly.

I tried the chicken and rice meal. It was amazing. I got the hot. It has a kick, but if you cannot handle spicy i would recommend going lower on the heat scale.The employees Luis and Fernando did a great job.

Incredible hospitality and welcoming ambience. The place is lively and kept clean. Ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, boneless lamb and rice, and yuca fries. Appetizing dishes, fair prices, and timely service. Definitely grabbing lunch from here more than just a few times!

ok - 11:10am on a slow Friday. Always wanted to try this place. Went on one in MD but years ago. ordered crispy chicken sandwich with tribos rice. Very pleased and such intense flavors. Got sandwich w/medium spice and it’s just right. The smells are incredible. Staff was very friendly and eager to recommend items. Food arrived hot and wish more people visit so we don’t lose another great local restaurant

Wow, what a pleasant experience we had at Tribos Peri Peri. We got all in one half chicken deal, chicken tenders from the kids menu and the classic beef burger. Everything was made to perfection, chicken was juicy and tender. A highly recommended halal restaurant if you're visiting Manalapan, Marlboro/Morganville or Freehold NJ.

This place is so good - the spice level is great if you can go high . It’s like nandos but Americanized . The food is great and this places deserves all the love

My friends and I had a great time dining at Tribos Peri Peri Chicken! We ordered the all for one platter and everything was delicious and flavorful. The service and food is outstanding!

It was my first time at a tribos peri peri. I ordered a whole chicken extra hot with yuca fries and rice. Also I got a half chicken medium with the complimentary rice. It was pretty tasty I loved the yuca fries. The rice not a huge fan of needed some flavor just missing something there. Other than that the ambience was nice and the gentleman that helped us out was really nice. I must say a bit pricey though $52. I would recommend if you’re in the area to stop by and give it a try.

The peri fries are flavorful and crispy, the best fries I've ever had. I'm obsessed with the crispy grilled chicken sandwich, I get it every time I come here. The staff is amazing and provide great service. They also play throwback songs too so it's definitely a vibe for the millennials

I love their crispy tenders. I get lemon pepper flavor and drizzle the chili sauce on top and then dip it in the bbq sauce. Lemon sweet heat is what I call it!😉

Came here with my family a few times, everything always tasted great without fail. I highly recommend the chicken wrap and the Peri fries. Their garlic sauce is addicting and the chicken is always perfectly cooked, flavorful, and tender.

This place is amazing! The food here is flavorful, and trying the peri peri fries is a must! My family personally likes the chicken legs, but everything here is great! The place has a calm atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly.

Discovered this place a few weeks ago while looking for new halal food options near work. Since finding it, I've visited at least once a week for lunch. I bring coworkers with me as well and we all love it. The Tribos Crispy Chicken Sandwich is where it's at. The portions are generous and the chicken is fresh and cooked perfectly every time. The sauce is flavorful and not overpowering. I recommend you get the seasoned fries because they're very good. The atmosphere is peaceful and the staff is always very kind. Looking forward to visiting next week!

This is not Portuguese Piri Piri. I went because I figured it was portuguese since you have a traditional portuguese rooster on the outside.

I eat this everytime I’m in Southern Africa except they call it Nandos or Galitos! The hummus was amazing, lamb bowl was super tasty cooked to perfection and plenty of drink choices!! Nice clean simple atmosphere with wireless pay I’d choose. The parking is plentiful and easy to find (the old battery plus+). Going back for fresh fries, chicken and corn!!!

We tried the chicken platter, with seasoned Yuca fries, and rice and it was DELICIOUS! The side sauces were amazing! Definitely this restaurant is going to be our regular Go to !!

The first time we tried Tribos it was great (very close to the taste of Nando’s chicken). Sad to say that today was not the same experience. The chicken was plain looking, undercooked and bland, sauce was packed on the side, fries were soggy. Definitely not Peri Peri. Will try again. May be this was a fluke!

Very relaxing, very delicious, and very good customer service. Me and my family have been coming here for a very long time, and we never seem to get bored of the food, or the customer service. My kids and wife even ask to eat here frequently. And with that being said, we will be coming back!

Stopped here on way to ny with my daughters. The grandkids loved the falafel. Also ordered to go. The chicken was succulent . My favorite were the lamb chops . Service and ambience were exceptional. Would love to visit again

I was visiting NJ and found this place very convenient. Food was good and place was near and clean. Definitely will visit again.

This hidden gem is definitely worth adding to your bucket list. The food is delicious, I have never tasted anything like this before. Great and clean atmosphere, good music, a bit of an upscale presence given the cutlery, real plates and service/sauces. The gentleman at the front desk was welcoming. Literally no complaints and I’m usually very critical. 10/10 definitely recommend. We got the quarter chicken dark plate and chicken tenders (not breaded/fried) although that’s an option.

Had a takeout dinner from Tribos Peri Peri and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor profile. We had one chicken dish with lemon & herb rice, one with hot rice and chicken and one with medium spicy rice and paneer. All were very good and tasty. We had some peri peri fries as well, and they were so delicious!

Really good chicken. I have been craving really delicious chicken for weeks. I’m not a fan of fried chicken and most grilled chicken isn’t that great. I can’t wait to go back. The chicken is so well seasoned and not dry at all. Very flavorful! I also tried the pork chops. Equally tasty. The sauces also hit the spot. I’m so happy I decided to stop and try this place.

We ordered the Chicken Platter with Medium spice. It was perfect, and cooked well. The chicken had a smoky taste and tender texture. Coleslaw and rice were great complements too. The appetizer platter was good, my favorite were the falafel and wings (medium spice flavored). Overall great meal, and the person working upfront at the cashier was extremely friendly and wonderful.

This quickly became one of our favorite restaurants the first time we ordered here. The food is delicious and fairly priced. We order a few times a month. Family favorite! The chicken and rice bowl with that peri mayo sauce. Melts in my mouth every time!! Getting hungry just thinking about it!

Amazing!! Wanted to try this one for long time and I am glad we did it . We got the whole chicken with rice , Crispy chicken sandwiches, lamb bowls, peri peri fries & Yuca fries. The chicken & lamb were delicious, Meat was cooked to perfection, the rice was seasoned well, and the fries were probably the best I’ve ever had. We were 8-10 people & they don’t even charge gratuity & service charge !! We will definitely be back. Highly Recommend

Perfect halal chicken place. Try is a must. Reminds Nando’s Chicken of England. We drive there 50 miles and is worth it😀

Catered food from here for a party and it was excellent. The guest enjoyed the rice, lamb, chicken, salad, potatoe chips and falafels. I would highly recommend them for catering as well as dine-in.

Very disappointed in Tribos Peri Peri, located at 100 US-9 Unit 1, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726. Overall, it wasn't that bad. The Peri Peri chicken was good. But ordered fried chicken tenders for the kids. As I cut the tenders, I see raw chicken in the middle of the thick parts. At least 2 out of the 6 tenders were raw in the middle. Had to return them. They refried the ones we didn't cut. And when I say refried, I mean, refried them to Sahara Desert. Super dry, the outside was dark brown burnt color. And they explained to me that they are cooking 1 more tender (I assume the one we fully cut into pieces for the kids). They literally needed to cook the tenders for 2 more minutes during the initial cooking process. That's it. Regardless, I did not expect refried tenders that we gave back. I expected perfectly cooked tenders that are moist and perfectly cooked inside. And that aren't dark brown/black/burnt on the outside. Picture is included to show you the color of the outside. And it was pretty damn dry inside. To the restaurant: Do not refry items if it's undercooked. To reach the proper temperature inside again will overcook the entire chicken. It's the worst thing to do if you had raw chicken in the middle. If the issue happened, get new pieces and use a timer to cook it for a bit longer, that's it. Meh, chicken tenders were a waste of money.

The quarter chicken dark lunch special was delicious. Both the mild and medium sauces had a pleasant kick, and the mayo had a cooling effect. I ordered for pick up at lunch time. When I went in, the restaurant was clean, and the people were friendly.

The falafel was nicely made and would order again. The lamb chops with the hot option for sauce, is outstanding.

I have been obsessed with this place. Extra white sauce!!! It is amazing tasting food. Have made it a Go To weekly restaurant for myself. To make it even better, awesome staff, they are all so very courteous. Gotta have my Tribos : )

Absolutely love the food here! Since it opened up it's been my family's new addiction. Whether we eat in or take out, everything is always perfect. The Peri Peri Chicken is so flavorful. Everything we've had on the menu is a 10/10. We often order from here for my office close by and everyone loves it, including the vegans; many options for vegetarians/vegans as well as the meat lovers. Will continue to go back again and again. The taste and exceptional service is consistently top notch.

MUST TRY!!! I was so excited to eat at this location, and they sure delivered and exceeded my expectations! I’ve tried several peri peri chicken places, and this is by far the best - and it’s the quality of the meat that makes it so! We ordered the wings (hands down the best wings I have ever had), quarter dark, lamb pita , and fries. The meat is super tender and seasoned to perfection. The atmosphere is incredible too! I love the mural and everything is very clean. Bring the whole family for a lovely lunch or dinner! I will definitely be eating at Tribos Peri Peri every time I’m in town!

Must have!! Everything about my dining experience at Tribos Manalpan was perfect. The ambience was great, the staff was super friendly, and the FOOOOD WAS DELICIOUS!! I got the wings, quarter dark and then the crispy chicken sandwich! The chicken was cooked to perfection and was seasoned just right. Would definitely be visiting when I’m back and would highly recommend it to everyone ☺️

Absolutely wonderful! Great service even when short staffed and delicious food! Not to mention that the prices are very fair for the portions you are given. Absolutely recommend!
