Place was busy but well worth the wait! Food was great, everything was very fresh. Will definitely be back!

The oysters had a weird smell and taste. I ordered the seafood platter and WAS VERY DISSATISFIED! I explained to the server that the meal had a peculiar smell and taste. The noise was extremely loud. I don’t think 🤔 I will return and I will tell others about my experience.

Usually sit at the bar. Best service and conversation. All servers are top notch.

Everything was amazing! They accommodated 25 of us for a birthday party and we were in and out of there in 2hrs. Everything was superb! Everything was perfect! Thanks for the great hospitality!

We always enjoy Uncle T’s! Usually no longer than a 25-35 minute wait on a Friday or Saturday night. The fried mushrooms and stuffed boudin egg rolls appetizers are always on-point. My wife loves the “NOLA Charboiled oysters as well. The Cajun burger and Pineapple burgers are really good, although my go-to is the “Hangover burger” (because it has a fried egg on it. Fries are waffle fries (if you’re into that), although I opt for their awesome homemade onion rings. Side note: The bar service is always quick and everyone is super nice, full of the southern hospitality that you’d expect!

Loved the grilled oysters! Candy oysters were unique and now one of my favorites! Pizza tri-eaux was delish and any place with an espresso martini makes it all worthwhile. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Uncle T's is by far my favorite seafood restaurant ever! Bartender, Nakisha for lunch weekdays is a fabulous bartender as well!!! It's a must visit place!

My first time there the fried oysters were exquisitely delicious. My second visit I mistakenly ordered baked oysters. Exquisitely bad. If I go back again it’ll be Fried oysters

Best restaurant I've been to in probably 20 years. Service is always friendly and very on top of their game. The food is always excellent and everything is very freshly prepared. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars for the atmosphere because it can get packed pretty quickly, especially during the lunch rush, and gets a little loud. If you're within 50 miles of this place, it's definitely worth the trip! Update as of 6/12/2025 Waited to be sat for almost 10 minutes and was told no inside tables were available, even though there were at least 7 which were cleaned and unoccupied. Even though it was quite warm outside, that was the only place to sit and eat so we just went with it. After about 10 minutes of waiting, a server named Kynlee came over and asked if we had been waited on. It wasn't her section but she made the decision to take care of us and did a fantastic job overall. Disappointed in the visit due to having to sit outside, even after there were plenty of tables available inside. It was also well past lunch rush when we got there, so I don't understand the reason we were forced to eat outside. Not a Karyn, but I think management needs to provide better overall training for their front of house and wait staff to ensure better customer service in the future. Kynlee saved the day and was awesome all the way around. Uncle T's needs about 4 more like her and if they did that, that place would be hands down a very respectable and trustworthy place to dine in at any time. Customer service and actually caring goes a long way.

Great food, fresh oysters 🦪 off the gulf. I ordered half-dozen raw oysters, really good. Pop-eye shrimp sandwich and fried oysters sandwich are tasty, too. Fried onions are crispy. The downside is the restaurant charges 4% extra if you use credit card and they don’t tell you at the first place. Come on is the 21 century now. Wake up, Uncle T!

Kelly was an amazing server. Very friendly environment. We had the alligator tacos. Do yourself a favor and get fried and grilled mixed! The vegetable side was very large proportioned my husband and I shared the meal! Desert was amazing the bread pudding is yo die for!

The Holly Beach Slammer oyster sampler is a must have! I get this every time I come and have never been disappointed. This time I got it as an appetizer and had half of "The Landry" poboy as my meal. The Landry consists of fried oysters, shrimp, and crawfish on a poboy bun dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, and their special Landry's sauce. Last but not least this is easily the best spicy margarita I’ve had in Lafayette.

Uncle T's never misses. Excellent food, drinks, and service. I would advise that if you order the seafood platter, make sure you plan to share it. It's way too much food for one.

This place had some of the most amazing Cajun food I have ever tasted. The waitress was extremely friendly and courteous. The atmosphere was nice the building was clean. The portions of the food were phenomenal.

We eat here occasionally, the oysters are great and everything else is pretty good. We ate outside yesterday and the flies were terrible, seems like they could use more fans or something to help with this. We couldn’t even eat our food the flies were so bad, like swarming us. We waited 40 minutes for a table, spent $80 on food we couldn’t even enjoy. We ended up packing our food in togo boxes and left.

Our food took an hour to get to us. Pretty sure we were forgotten about. It came out at different times for each of us. Finally, it was cold. Very disappointing. I’ve had good experiences here before. I took friends from out of town here and it was embarrassing.

Delicious fried oysters and onion rings along with a frosty cold beer. We ate at the bar on a busy Saturday night and had great service. Best meal I had in Louisiana. Will stay in Lafayette on my next trip to Louisiana just to eat at Uncle Ts.

**Definitely a must** Delicious food, huge portions, lots of space. Indoor/outdoor seating. Gets loud with everybody talking over each other. Server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Definitely repeatable!

Outstanding food a go to spot for anyone visiting or a local just trying to relax!! It’s been a few years since we’ve been able to slide through here which is unfortunate ,but I’m happy to say that the food is still as great as ever and they are continuing to improve the Menu. We found Uncle Ts by accident and boy did we get lucky!! The staff is amazing. Atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Drinks were made to perfection. I have never had a po boy this dang good. The charbroiled oysters were perfect. Onion rings are homemade and crispy. Folks were eating lots of crawfish. Servings are huge. The bread pudding is something out of a dessert dream. Can't wait to come visit again. Highly recommend!!

Y'all I'm here probably twice if not more a week! Service is amazing! Love all my girls! And their crawfish CHER LEMME TELL YOU! If you haven't hopped on the bandwagon you ain't living beebee! Them things good cher!!!! BEST IN TOWN AND I'M A CRAWFISH loving machine.

This place lives up to expectation. And was worth the drive from Washington state. Kelly was a great server and gave us some suggestions, and kept us topped off. You need to stop by.

discovered this place in a Peter Santenello video on YouTube. I had a half pound of boiled shrimp and six charbroiled oysters (3 sweet, 3 spicy) and the food was excellent! service was excellent as well (thanks Kelly!) and the atmosphere on the porch with the Cajun music was just great. all in all, this was probably one of most enjoyable meals of my life. (note: if I remember correctly, boiled crawfish is available after 5 pm on weekdays and all day long on weekends)

If you want fresh seafood, this is the place. Had the sampler and it two days to eat it all.

Our server was lovely and very nice. The seafood was really good, but the roast beef poboy was the worlds worst.

They have other great food too. I'm not particularly an Oyster person but everything looked delicious.

My husband and I went to lunch at this establishment and found it to be nice but we ordered food and the charbroil oysters weren't what we expected. They don't serve sweet potato fries and it seems that they really don't have many Afro-Americans eating there. My husband is light skinned and folks kept looking at them wondering whether he was black or white. Before we could finish eating the waitress came and started clearing our table. We asked for to go boxes buy we won't be eating at this restaurant again. Didn't like the feel and don't like being rushed to eat!

Uncle T's for the win! They never disappoint. Service and food is always great. We had muffelatta cheese bread, fried oyster basket w/onion rings, fish bites and onion rings. So yummy!

I had the Caesar side salad and half shrimp poboy. Delicious. The bread had a soft texture, not too hard, doughy or chewy, just right. It was the perfect balance to taste everything on the sandwich. Great meal and very filling. First time and just visiting the area, but I'll definitely stop by whenever I'm town again.

My friend offered to pick up something hot for me to eat while I worked a 12 hr shift. I usually coast through on a can of soup or ramen noodles. I'm frugal like that. Anyway, he was going to this restaurant for their oysters and fish basket, but at $27 (!) I couldn't afford to say I'll have what he's having, so I suggested he order some shrimp for me, because we live in South Louisiana, and shrimp should be fairly affordable. Ha! Yeah, right. With no fries or anything, 8 fried shrimp, by themselves in a Styrofoam hinge cart cost $15! It would have been over $20 to include waffle fries. That's ridiculously high in my book! And the shrimp weren't anything special, in fact, they were dark, hard, and really bland. Not a good first impression, at all.

Probably some of the best oysters I have ever had. The catfish bites, could not stop eating them. Shrimp poboy, omg it was so good. Definitely recommend this place.

OTR Truck drivers who stopped in. I was craving oysters & used Google to find this spot. So glad we dined here. Everything was GREAT! Our waitress, Kat, was friendly, knowledgeable, very attentive. She took care of us. The food was delicious. My hubby was very pleased. He lived in Louisiana so he his familiar with Cajun Seafood & he saids Uncle T's was spot on. I even brought a T-shirt. We got dessert to go, cheesecake. We really enjoyed our whole experience. Ms. Kat made it better. (Thank you) We will be back & have recommended it to our other trucker friends. It's worth it!

Anytime I come down i10 through Lousiana this is a MUST stop! The tri-eaux tacos, muffuletta cheese bread, holly beach slammer oyster combo are amazing! I’ve been here enough times to know how good their burgers and combo plate are too! You can’t go wrong with the food, friendly service and cocktails!

I moved from Texas to Alexandria, La and my buddy told me the good food is south of i10 and was he right. We went there yesterday with our wives and I will definitely be back. The firecracker oysters, onion rings, and landrys po boy was phenomenal. Will definitely be back

Some of the best food i have ever had. I sat on the patio but the interior was well done and well maintained. The tv's were very nice and they had the LSU baseball game on. The alligator was cooked perfectly and the bread for the po-boys was EXACTLY as it should be. Great experience all around.

As a Chef, I LOVE experiencing food like this! I don't care who claims to have invented Chargrilled Oysters, but these cats perfected them. All around outstanding and I LOVE the back story. We only get up once a year, but we WILL be back in 2025, if not sooner!

Food was hot and fresh. Alligator was very tender and juicy.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, the waitress and staff were very polite. Everything we ordered was delicious. One exception the oysters on the Holly Beach Platter were overdone! ! I will go back I'll just request that the cook pay closer attention to the oysters as they prepare them. The heaters on the patio was very nice!

I always make Uncle T's a required stop when I'm back home in Louisiana. I can't help giving 5 stars although I was a bit disappointed in my chargrilled oysters yesterday's visit. I ordered a dozen firecracker oysters and received a tray with eleven oysters which the waitress immediately addressed and brought the additional oyster shell. I say she'll because the additional oyster she'll had cheese and topping but no oyster. I took my lick and enjoyed the rest of my meal which also included the fried assortment basket. Delicious and very satisfying. I definitely recommend.

If you miss this place, you missed a treat! Excellent and yummy!
