Coffee is PERFECT and the breakfast bagel sandwich I had was delicious! Plenty of seating, including a covered patio in the back. I loved the vibes 😍

Always a great place to sink into to grab a bite and a great cup of coffee. The staff is amazingly friendly and it always feels welcoming. Such a gem to pop into when strolling down Magazine St.

This coffee is pretty good. The food can take a very long time, but that is understandable given that it is made fresh in house. While it looks beautiful, I feel that it always has a scent of body odor that is quite jarring. I am used to coffee shops having a strong smell but that smell usually the result of coffee and coffee beans. This place, however, has a distinct and disturbing smell. I recently tried their yogurt parfait and I would not recommend it unless you like your yogurt to taste like the space smells. It is far too complicated with too many flavors fighting in such a small dish. I would, however, recommend their vegetarian breakfast burrito as it is quite delicious and filling.

The vegan wrap is delicious!!! Great atmosphere and the staff is super nice.

This delightful café is a gem. The staff is wonderful. They roast their beans on site, and it’s so good. Their menu is perfect for a light and healthy meal when exploring the neighborhood. I stop by quite often and have been impressed with the consistency of quality and value. The café is welcoming to everyone, and it truly is now a neighborhood staple. The music is always just the right volume and they make excellent choices in the playlist. It’s easy to become a regular and the staff is diverse and always happy to chat. Dairy free? They got you. Vegan? Their menu has more options than most in the city. And they do catering!

My favorite cafe in New Orleans in one of my favorite parts of the city.

We were here in March. It was great for lunch on a Saturday after we had spent the morning expoloring Magazine Street. Food fresh, staff friendly.

WE LOVE UNDERGROWTH COFFEE! They have the best breakfast burritos from California to Louisiana . I am a burrito connoisseur. I have a Hispanic background and I spend way too much money on eating out and have travelled the world. Originally from Southern California and work for a Texas based company, I have had plenty of burritos and none compare to the perfect combination of rosemary potatoes, smoky flavored bacon, savory eggs, sharp white cheddar all wrapped in an herb tortilla. Seriously, I have ordered $100 worth of these burritos at a time so that I can have them multiple days in a row. My girlfriend and I love them and the staff there is wonderful and always accommodating. CZ

Had a delicious dirty chai with cashew milk, very robust and spicy - the coffee is special for sure.

Took a little while for the food, but it was worth the wait! Adorable place. Will return.

Place is super small but the coffee is really good. They have all this nice flavors such as pumpkin chai, lavender coffee, etc. Everything is made there so it is not this powder beverages. I really recommend this coffee.

10/10 experience at undergrowth. We were visiting Nola and decided to check this cafe out — we had high expectations based off of the reviews, but the experience exceeded them! Highly recommend

Coffee was good. Unfortunately place was very dirty when I went. I killed a cockroach on the ground - not a great sign seeing one of those at 10am and hard to mentally get over.

They even have several gluten free baked goods.

Classic cozy small New Orleans shop with tasty stuff and service with a smile. Been here quite a few times as it is in my neighborhood and I always include it in my list of recommendations. With the weather getting cooler, get the spiced cold brew.

We stumbled into this coffee shop while walking through the neighborhood. I was seeking an afternoon cup of coffee and I came to the right place. Delicious café au lait! Love the vibe. The barista who served us couldn’t have been nicer. So friendly and genuine. We can’t wait to return on a future visit to New Orleans.

Truly one of the best local coffee shops in the city. The owners and baristas are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They are always more than happy to allow our two large dogs in with open arms and treats. The coffee is phenomenal and easily one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. I also highly recommend their “spiced” cold brew on a hot day. With the new renovation and outdoor patio in back, this a perfect spot to stop in to warm up or cool off with great coffee and even better service. Also, do not sleep on their excellent breakfast burrito.

The best cup of coffee I've had so far. I'm glad I found this place. Definitely a step up from the chain cafés. The food is really good too so I'm absolutely adding this place to my daily morning routine for the remainder of my New Orleans trip.

I was introduced to the existence of this spot by Magazine Street Restaurant Week. I was VERY excited about the breakfast options on the menu, so when I had the day off today, I went out of my way to go try it out. I get there, and I'm perplexed because I don't see anything exciting about this menu. I ask the guy at the counter if it's the same menu as online, and he says "yeah" in a way that suggests "duh." So I ordered a very uninteresting egg and cheese pressed sandwich and went about my day. I just now got around to checking the menu online, and DUH--it's NOT the same. There are options with plant-based sausage which, as a non-pork eater, was why I was so excited. Please, for the love of God--and this message is for ALL eateries--STOP advertising items you do NOT carry. This has happened to me So mAnY TiMeS. It's really bad business. I would have never gone so far out of my way for a stupid egg and cheese. Boooooo. ------------------- Edited to reply to owners: There are "sausage and..." menu items STILL on the website that were clearly removed from the menu at the shop. Why would I look for "substitutions" for a menu item that isn't even offered anymore? I don't like this reply because it suggests an error on my part instead of owning the changes on your end. BOOOOOOO.

Amazing Food, Coffee, Teas, and amazing staff! They go above and beyond to make sure you're happily satisfied with everything you experience. I highly suggest you try something new there!

Great neighborhood coffee shop. The folks were super friendly. We talked coffee, music & upcoming events. It's a very queer friendly space 🌈💜 they have pastries, flat breads & a couple other items I am forgetting! Cute lil courtyard as well. Plus, really cute local art with magnets & one artist will do your pet portraits!

This place was lovely! The vegan options were great, and the rest of our table loved their food as well. I’ll definitely be back the next time I visit NOLA.

We throughly enjoyed the food and the service. The atmosphere was great too what you would want from a coffee house. Three different areas of sitting available depending on what you are In the mood for. There is out door seating as well.

Ok, New Orleans is clearly not a coffee place. I tried many many times ... Iced latte was maybe kinda ok, but the oat milk latte was undrinkable. The barista is very nice though

Dirty chai with lavender is hands down the best I’ve ever had. We came back here multiple times during our 2 days in New Orleans. And the staff is incredibly genuine and friendly. 10/10 recommend!

Amazing coffee. I recommend a ice latte. Love the bitter sweet expresso in my coffee. Only con id give is no snacks to have with your coffee and when it gets busy it can get pretty packed. No good space to add extra sugar into your coffee, but it's totally cozy when its just a couple people in there.

Everyone was nice here. Got a quad shot 12oz latte and a chocolate croissant. They have some cool hanging terrariums made out of large mason jars and some cool local art.

No longer live in Louisiana and had their coffee shipped out to me. After a slight delay, Alyssa went above and beyond to get my order sent out, and even included a little extra. Great quality coffee with great customer service!

Cute place but has extremely bitter/burnt coffee. We got lattes and we’ve never had such bitter/burnt coffees. All of the reviews seemed positive and praised the coffee quality, so I’m not sure if it was just us getting unlucky or everyone likes charcoal beans.

Excellent service. Nice location on the corner of Magazine and Napoleon. Wonderful coffee. Highly recommend for out of town guests to the Big Easy. For locals, it's convenient, quaint and spot on.
