We had a wonderful afternoon at the vineyard. We started with a sample. The charcuterie board and bread and pesto were a delicious compliment to the wine. The outdoor seating area it charming with a lovely view. Peaceful and private. Sarah Holder was our host, and contributed to our enjoyable afternoon.

A beautiful place to visit! The wine was Delicious! Our service was excellent! Her name was Kalen! She was very informative and attentive! 5 Stars on her service for sure!

Kalen was phenomenal. The wine was tasty! We did not know we needed reservations in advance and they squeezed us in for a tasting. She also showed us the room where they crush grapes and explained the entire process to us. I also lost my watch while we were there and they reached out to let us know they’d be mailing it back. The owner and their staff made this a memorable visit! 15/10

This place is 100% the best in the Waco area. The wine, the views, and the staff make you feel like you're worlds away. Kalen went above and beyond for our group. We called very last minute and they squeezed us in for a tasting. They made the experience amazing and taught us about the process. Would recommend!

My husband, Pat, and I just had our first tasting at VMV. The only thing better than the fresh bread, local pesto and fruit of the vine was the service. Kalen took care of us like we were in an upscale restaurant. Very nice room with a view but Kalen's accommodations and attention made it special (brought home a good rose too). Cheers!

Great place to hang out. Nobody warmed us on the stairs we had to walk upstairs to get to the wine tasting. We all had heels and maybe not a good idea after drinking wine. We enjoyed it. Scenery was beautiful outside. Beautiful place for pictures.

Such a beautiful place! I visited for a friends late birthday celebration and its the perfect spot for a girls day! Kalen was the sweetheart serving us and made sure we had everything we needed. She was patient with us and had top customer service!

We made the trip to Waco from Kansas City and this was a must hit stop for us! We did the wine tour and tasting! Our tour guide was Kalen and she was wonderful! She was really awesome to show us around the property! Very knowledgeable about the property and wine! We had a delicious meat and cheese board, pesto and bread. We loved Valley Mills!

I did look at reviews for Valley Mills before coming. Many had left 5 star ratings. I totally agree! Kate gave us a guided tour of their facility and we were able to see workers performing their various duties. Kate took time to explain varieties of grapes grown there and allowed us to try a few straight from the vine. We were allowed to walk through the vineyard at our own pace and just enjoy the quiet and solitude. Our tastings were done at our own pace while we had bread and pesto. I purchased several bottles to bring home, as well as give to friends. Getting a bottle of wine from a vineyard you have actually visited is a unique experience which I would recommend and I would definitely recommend visiting this small winery when in the area. We had an amazing time at Valley Mills Winery! We made an impromptu stop because of the heavy rain and decided to wait it out. The Counoise bottle of wine was fantastic! The charcuterie tray was delicious! But, most of all, the service was excellent! Kate, our hostess, made us feel special and was very attentive and knowledgeable about wine! The atmosphere was very relaxed and gorgeous. Kate made our impromptu stop into a great memory as well as a return costumer!

My husband and I tried a reserve tasting that we both absolutely loved. Shaler, who guided us through our tasting, did a wonderful job and was knowledgeable about the different wines and the process of developing the wine from vine to bottle. He was extremely kind and great to converse with. We enjoyed all the wines we tried and thought the winery had a well balanced selection. Mourvèdre (and shaler’s personal choice as well) was our favorite wine we tried and took a bottle home. I Would definitely recommend for a fun date night/ wine tasting experience.

Drove down to meet a friend for the day, stopped here to chat and taste the wine. I am so glad we did, the atmosphere is lovely, the vineyard is gorgeous, the wine is fantastic! Kalen served us and really helped us find the perfect wine to take home. She was so freaking awesome, 10 outta 10 would recommend!

We enjoyed a tour of the vineyard and winery, including tasting a variety of wines. The wines are excellent, and the facility is relatively new and very nice. You can enjoy a glass of wine while looking out over the vineyard and valley. Beautiful!

Just completed a tour and wine tasting at Valley Mills Vineyards. Our guide Shaler was very informative and introduced us to several of the vineyard’s red and white varietals.

We had Valerie for our reserve tasting and she was the best! We sat in the barrel room and had charcuterie and wine. Everything was wonderful and she was very knowledgeable about each wine, would defintley recommend if you’re in the Waco area.

What a great experience!! We won a tour & tasting through our church and were so pleasantly surprised! The grounds are beautiful and Jazmine did a great job with our tour--she was so friendly and answered all our questions. We even stayed after for about an hour and enjoyed the charcuterie and nature along with our wine. We will definitely be back!!

We visited end of December 2023, very nice facility and outdoor seating with a view. Charcuterie board was good. The wines were OK. Taking away one star because we’re red wine fans and they served all our reds COLD. As a result, we were not able to fully experience the bouquets of flavors. They need a better temperature control for wherever they store their red bottles that are meant for tasting.

We had an amazing experience and really enjoyed our time at Valley Mills because of Milyssa! She completely turned around our opinion after having a not-so-great experience months prior due to an associate rushing us and forcing us to tab out long before close. Milyssa was knowledgeable about every wine's tasting notes we were interested in and had a very kind, warm, and hospitable demeanor; we're eager to come back and visit again!! I like white wines and roses, I like the entire range from very dry to sweet. I enjoyed the Rose, the Vermentino and the Muscat Cannelli. All of the wines I tried had a nice mouth-feel and a great aftertaste. The rose and vermentino are drier whereas the Muscat is much sweeter, but the flavor is worth trying it! The venue is gorgeous, and is especially beautiful during sunset. The property is well maintained, clean, fresh and esthetically pleasing. We had such a great time and we mostly have Milyssa to thank for it!! Great job Milyssa, you're appreciated!

We were in Valley Mills and came to this vineyard on a whim. So glad we did. The staff was super friendly. I highly recommend the Muscat. Perfect glass of wine to enjoy the beautiful views. We were told going up top was one of the best views and it truly was.

Great place to take someone for their first or fiftieth winery experience. Beautiful hidden gem with wines as good as you'll find in the more well-known areas. I also can't say enough good things about the service and staff; this winery is the founder's labor of love (you can see him working the grounds on weekends) and it shows in the customer experience.

Before I get to the actual review--NOTE FOR ANYONE WHO HAS TROUBLE WITH STAIRS: Seriously, have someone drop you off at the handicap entrance if you don't have a handicap placard to park there. I have knees that like to act up sometimes, but I was like "Oh, I'm sure it's only a few stairs, it'll be fine!" THERE ARE A LOT OF STAIRS. If you have trouble climbing at all, just take the accessible entrance. (None of this is a complaint, by the way! I just don't want anyone to be caught unaware like I was!) This place was beautiful, even in late autumn! I only discovered its existence a few days ago, but my boyfriend and I have already decided we'll be coming back for Date Night from time to time. It's not too far outside Waco proper, and the (comparatively) hilly landscape reminded me pleasantly of my northern roots. The only thing we did this visit was taste a few wines (the ruby port is EXCELLENT) and buy a few bottles as Christmas gifts, but sitting out back at sunset was almost magical. The woman who helped us was so friendly and helpful, too! Just a great time all around!

If you are in the Waco area and have a true appreciation for viticulture then this winery is definitely a must! I had a chance to meet Joey, one of the wine makers, who truly understands what it takes to make a great wine from both estate grown and Texas high plains sourced grapes. Their Tempranillo expression and Zephyr blend are spot on and should not be missed.

We just recently joined and this was our first trip back. Marissa was who helped us this weekend, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She definitely enhanced the experience. As far as the winery goes we never knew we had such a great winery escape right in our backyard. This place is beautiful and their wine is fantastic. We have been going to Fredericksburg for years, and Valley Mills Winery is no slouch by comparison.

I enjoyed a tour and wine tasting with Valerie at Valley Mills Vineyards! She was knowledgeable of every wine and made the entire experience so fun with her bubbly personal touch to the presentation. Book Ubers in advance or they have a car service they recommend- wait time was still fun as we ordered more wine and had a gorgeous view!

Valerie did a great job and was very informative with our wine tour! This was my first wine tour so I learned a lot. She offered information that is usually questioned by others. There was no rush to get inside even in the hot Texas heat!! She happily took pictures of us outside and inside. Even though it’s a workout, I absolutely love the stairs coming in from the gorgeous double doors downstairs! Very spacious with tables inside and outside. They also offer bread & charcuterie boards to go along with your wine! The bread is delicious so we did an order of it by itself after our board. We both purchased bottles to bring home and we will be returning soon!

My husband and I did a tour and tasting for my birthday. The tour was awesome. The guide was so knowledgeable, and we loved learning about how the wine was made. The scenery from the winery was beautiful, overlooking the vineyard. All of the wine in the tasting was delicious. We stayed after the tour to enjoy a bottle of wine and a snack. The Narra Cabernet was one of the best tasting, smoothest Cabernets I have ever had. The bread and pesto were phenomenal. Overall it was an amazing experience, we can't wait to go back!

The wines are good. The hospitality and charcuterie board were excellent. The view is pretty. It was too hot for us to sit outside but the outdoor seating area is very attractive and we will have to come back when the weather is more conducive of a sit and sip on the patio. The tasting area was very comfortable and attractive. Was totally worth the drive from Waco.

Valley Mills Vineyards is one of our favorite places to go when we are in the Waco area. Love the owners and the staff! They know their wines and love discussing them. They can make recommendations for you, if you need a little help. The wine is awesome. The quality is excellent and there are so many great choices, everyone can find an award winning wine that is sure to be loved. Check the schedule as there is often live entertainment on Sunday afternoons. Join the wine club! You get a discount on purchases but it also opens up the monthly wine club dinners. I can't describe how wonderful these events are. Creative chefs from the region create sumptuous multi-course meals which are perfectly paired with the wines. Come help pick grapes during harvest season, or just enjoy the Texas hills, a magnificent estate, the beauty of nature, and excellent wines.
