The impossible burger is not a healthy alternative it has many chemicals that are harmful for you, you minus well eat a regular beef patty. The chicken sandwich is gooey in the middle and tastes just like the mushrooms it's made of. I am not sure why they have a 4.7 star rating. Some of these people are delusional. Won't try the food again, it is not that tasty and wayyyyy too expensive. Not a healthy alternative, the mushroom sandwich should be air fried not deep fried.

I was visiting Tampa earlier this month and was looking for something to eat and found this place. The food was so good that I went there twice!!! My first visit, I had the falafel gyro and next visit was the veggie plate. The portions were good for 2 meals, at least for me, it was a lot of food! I also had the desserts…so so delicious!!!! You have to get there early because desserts go fast!!! The restaurant is only equipped for take out. But there are a few chairs and table outside. Pro: The foods and desserts fantastic!!! Con: The guy at the counter can be a bit friendlier.

2nd Response: They sent me updated response on another platform and I thought I’d share it with you guys here. Since this platform is the more searched platform. Read entire review, but also please read their (edited) response to me. (The 1st one was baffling too). That alone should tell you what type of establishment this is. I left all my original comments. I would never eat from a place this again even if the food was decent, ITS NOT. They don't care..., which equates to not caring about food quality, preparation, etc.... Let me call the health department to do a check up. Just in case they edit it again I put a screenshot of their responses in the pictures. I truly hope whatever has you so aggressive, angry and down gets better. 1st Response: I never said it taste like chicken. I said it was mushy and gooey in the middle, like chicken fat. From reading the “real” reviews and how you respond to them, I’m seeing a pattern. If you would read your reviews objectively instead of with a clap back mindset you would’ve seen that. How you respond to constructive criticism says a lot. Very vulgar and unprofessional. I tried to be nice and say the veggies was ok... I guess because some complained the sides were bland, you decided to over salt it. Luckily the macaroni n cheese was bland. It took away some of the salt from the greens and cabbage. Truth be told I only took a few bites from the veggies as well. Original post: I was ordering online and had never eaten here before. I called them to ask about the texture of the lions mane vegan chicken sandwich and what’s in the sauces. I told her I’ve never had lions mane before. I specifically asked if the inside is soft? The lady was very nice. I was told that the outside is crispy and the inside would have the texture and consistency of chicken, like a chicken sandwich (shredded). The sandwich was huge and the outside was crispy.However, the inside was like mush. The texture was gooey. Due to a sensory disorder I could not take another bite. It felt like I was biting into chicken fat. I cut it in half in hopes that I could put it in the air fryer. That was a bust so it went in the trash. That was a waste of 16.00 for a sandwich. I also ordered veggie sides platter. It was just ok…

I can't believe it took me so long to review them. This place is phenomenal in every way. Just go!

The food here is incredible! Everything I try here has been decadent! The quality and attention placed on each order an ingredients can clearly be seen. I highly recommend their Mac an cheese and lions mane mushroom sandwich which are my current favorites!

I finally drove up to try out some food although I was very limited to what I can order it was still very good. I recently became Gluten Free and 98% of the menu has gluten. I really hope that it’s possible for y’all to add more gluten free options to the menu in the future. I ordered salad with kefta.

For the most part the food has been very good. This past week I ordered the chicken sandwich and a veggie plate drove over an hour to work to find my food that I paid over $30 for is old. The collards tasted old the yams were dry my coworker thought they were chicken and the rice was clumped. When I looked closely it was brown so I figured they scrapped the bottom of the rice pot and gave that to me very disappointed.

Their food is SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!! I wish I didn't live so far from them. Please open a location in miami or near!!!!

The meatball/Mac &cheese steak subs are amazing. The Mac &Cheese is amazing too.

Just so so, it was definitely fresh, but chicken sandwich not flavorful, Mac n cheese was a no, the greens where seasoned but seemed like they where seasoned with chili sauce…. Not for me but they where nice

Wow this place has some amazing vegan food! Everything on the menu is VEGAN. Very tasty and they make it very fast! I had the Mac and cheese and the lions mane nuggets, a vanilla oat milk shake, and the pizza sambussa. Holy cow it was all delicious, and I’m a picky person. Definitely will come back here and recommend it highly. The people were super friendly too!

No where to sit, no cold water and an attitude from the girl at the counter when I checked my food before leaving.

I saw the raving reviews about this place so I HAD to check it out. I ordered the Cuban and pizza empanadas, gyro, chopped cheez sandwich, and a side of Mac and cheez.The vegan mac and cheez is normally a hit or miss so I was extremely impressed because it was the best I've ever had. I was anticipating an overbearingly nutty or nutritional yeast type of cheesy but it was neither of those. It was incredible! TENS ACROSS THE BOARD! I wish they had a dining section but the food was so good that I didn't mind sampling it in my car! #veganfooddoneright

Mind blown! I do forage for mushrooms and eat a lot of mushrooms you don't find in grocery stores or farmers markets. Finding a thick slice of breaded, deep fried Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) on a sandwich was a wonderful surprise. That said, I would like to see a cautionary disclaimer that some  people are allergic to mushroom protein. The side of chickpea-potato curry was tumeric-forward, thick and tasty. Overall I found that the food lacked salt (probably for health reasons) and spice (probably to avoid tamasic foods). I was a bit disappointed that this is a take-out business with no seats inside. There are two small tables under a tree on a narrow walkway outside.

Didn't visit this location as my nieces picked up my carry-out but man oh man- the very best vegan Mac and Cheese I've ever had!! I'm usually hesitant to order vegan Mac & Cheese because I've always been disappointed in the past but the Mac & Cheese from Vegan International made me a believer that good vegan Mac&Cheese actually exists! I had the Mac&Cheese with the Cauliflower Nuggets and Buffalo Hot Sauce, all three were A+, five star! When I visit Tampa, I'm always visiting Vegan International Co. Kitchen and Market! If you're vegan, don't miss it.

Chef's kiss. Everything is incredible, any of their items with lions mane are so good, i cant even describe it. Above and beyond any other "chicken" substitute. Even the mac n cheese is better than non-vegan versions. The service is so fast and I love their eco friendly to-go boxes. The portions are HUGE. If you ever leave Tampa, please please make a cookbook.

it was very good, but for $15 for a small sandwich, it could be a lot better i think. there was barely enough sauce and i didn’t wanna ask for more since that cost extra too. i’d only come back if i was able to afford to try more.

Ive had nearly every item on their menu, and listen to me when i say GET THE NC-FIL-A SANDWHICH. It is hands down the best most insane vegan sandwich I've ever had. I get the extra Pickles it's worth it. Also get the Collard Greens!! As a florida boy I've grown up eating collards, and the richness and flavor of these were just like what I had growing up nonvegan. Their Mac n cheese is gooey cheesey decacence, and the chik'n gyro salad absolutely slaps.

First time coming here.. used to go to Farmacy in downtown and saw a familiar face! The young lady that was the cashier was amazing! We talked about vegan cuisine for a bit. Everything came out amazing! My friends wanted to try my Mac and cheese and lost it! It was amazing! The drumsticks were phenomenal! Staff was amazing! Food was amazing! Can you make a vegan Reuben like they do at Chicago dinner? I know you can!!!!

We got food from here when we got stuck in Tampa for a night after a canceled flight. We didn't know that they stop taking orders about 15 minutes before closing, but the cook was very kind and let us order and even gave us tasters of their ice cream. The food was super delicious.

Clean space , outstanding service.I had never really tried vegan dishes and was looking for an easy transition .I was also fasting and needed a recommendation. I was driving down Nebraska and saw the truck outside and decided to try it .I had the cauliflower & Mac and cheese.So delicious.If you are new to the Vegan game..I suggest this spot.

Best food in Tampa. Never tried anything from here that I didn't love. If they are doing a special get it, they are always good.

The gyro is amazing. Just make sure to eat it while it’s fresh, don’t drive too far with it.

THE Tampa vegan spot. I come from St.Pete sometimes to get it. Drummies, max boxes, rice and fries. They have all the comfort food you could want. The veggie plate is the BOMB. Servings are hefty and always delicious. Been coming here for a few years now and possibly my favorite vegan restaurant in the bay. If you want to stop by, just do it. You won’t regret it! FYI, more of a pickup and go spot, they have a few tables outside but nothing too big.

We’ve been coming here for as long as it’s been open. We don’t go too often, but we are never unhappy with the food here. They have great options for people who want simple food (nuggets and fries), and they also have excellent Middle Eastern/Mediterranean flavors! I ordered the Gyro today, definitely will order again! This is not really a sit-down place, so we pick up our order and take it to Lettuce Lake Park . Vegan International is also more eco conscious with their packaging and utensils! Big plus in our opinion. I’m just hoping this place will stick around. Vegan restaurants have been closing left & right in Tampa.

I am not vegan. I do love vegan dishes. This place pass the test of being an awesome experience. The lions mane sandwich was delicious, we didn't even leave the parking lot. Collards was tasty and wings were great. I will definitely come again.

The drumsticks with BBQ sauce are soooo good and they come with a generous amount of sauce. The mac and cheese to me tasted really sour... like super sour... but I don't see that mentioned in any other reviews so maybe I just got an off batch. Service was pleasant despite me picking up the food 15 minutes before close.

I actually love this place, but am highly disappointed on their recognition for our military veterans. I can accept a no discount policy regularly, but on Veteran’s Day it would be nice for them to show a little support for those who served. Updated: I’m offended you’d make this about her hijab or race. She was actually very pleasant. While I understand the correlation, it was an incorrect assumption.

This is my favorite vegan restaurant in all of Tampa! I can't get enough of the fry boxes. The kefta fry box is so addictive. I don't know how they make it so crispy and delicious.

I had the lions Maine mushroom sandwich and I have to say it was drenched in grease my whole mouth was oily and my stomach is not so happy about it right now the taste was ok but got overpowered by the grease I would definitely not buy this item again! And I was so excited about it it definitely cuts the healthiness out 🤮

This place hits alllll of my cravings!! I get the same thing every time and it NEVER disappoints! The beyond tender Mac box with bbq and Nashville hot sauce and extra tenders, every time I feel like it tastes better which I didn’t think was possible lol! 10/10 recommend this place!!!

Took a gamble on this place and WOW. The lions mane chicken sandwich was top notch. The pickles tasted similar to a bread & butter type (not my fav) But all around exceptional!

Was my 1st time eating at this place and it was so good , I came back the very next day and brought my friend with me that isn't a vegan and he was shocked at how good the vegan chicken over rice bowl was! I order a chicken gyro salad bowl! Delicious! It's my new spot to eat .I don't mind taking the hour drive! It's worth it! They also got vegan jerk, must try it out! i have wanted to eat at vegan international co for so so long and i was finally in the area !! i was super happy but also sad that i missed the plate specials which is what i reeeally wanted to try. either way, the location i believe is pickup only and is fairly obvious by the bright pink vegan detailing on the window. i ordered ahead and the food was ready a few minutes ahead of time. first i tried the veggie plate. mine consisted of candied, steamed cabbage, collards, and rice. the rice had a nice kick to it, and i really enjoyed the steamed cabbage. the collards were good but not the best i’ve had, and the candied yams weren’t my favorite. if i ordered this again, i’d probably go for a few different sides. i also ordered a special they had: the cauliflower nugget mac box! i ordered it with jerk bbq sauce, which i thought was pretty good! i wish the box came with a bit more sauce, but i liked how crunchy and crispy the cauliflower was. the mac and cheese was also next level 🙌 and the portion was generous! the mac definitely beats a lot of dairy mac and cheese i’ve had. lastly i just HAD to try the drumsticks. i ordered them with bbq sauce and was in love with how much sauce they came with! these drums were super realistic; the texture of the chicken was spot-on and the “bone” was executed very well. they are messy to eat, but these were so good i would have them with every meal! vegan international co is a must-try if you’re in tampa, and i’m definitely coming back to try more of their specials and get just a few (20+) more orders of drumsticks!

My number one Vegan spot all across the country is THIS PLACE! It was the closest vegan spot to the venue and I ran there! I really did not know what to expect but it definitely was not this. My mind is absolutely blown. This is the best vegan chicken sandwich I have ever had ever. I don’t think there will be a better sandwich! Dudes! It’s SO GOOD! The sauce on it too! My lanta!! My buds are screaming for more!! I have still yet to try my empanada but I can already tell it’s going to be the same. My fries!!! Oh my gosh. They’re so perfect!! If I could break google and give this 6 out of 5, stars I would. Please please please!! If you are in the area!! Stop here! I wish I didn’t live in Michigan because I would come here more often. Literally the best food I’ve ever had hands down.

Yum yum Masterful vegan food for everyone! Never been dissatisfied with anything here! Pizza empanadas would easily please even the pickiest people (my hubs is one) I got the veggie box last and it was delicious too bad they were out of plantains. I’m crazy about cabbage and the greens are just great. The Jerk wings were also crispy and flavorful. My partner ate the gyro box and it was awesome as usual! Nice little tables out front of if you can’t wait to get home to eat.

Some of the best Vegan food I've had !!! It has alot of vegan options and the gentleman who was there was very helpful on helping me select . I wanted to try it all. I decided on gyro loaded fries 😋 It was a large portion I was able to share with my husband and he got the chicken gyro wrap ( he shared with me) We also got baklava for dessert but it went too fast before I could take a picture 🤣 I would definitely be back to try other foods plus they have a freezer to take home food too. Go check it out you wont be disappointed!!!
