We tried the maple latte on the recommendation of several reviewers. It had little Expresso flavor to compete with the maple. We also tried the caramel latte. It had little caramel or Expresso flavor and it was cold. We can't recommend.

Maple Cortado was tasty and is always a staple whenever I’m in town. The staff member did a great job recommending drinks based on what I was craving and explained the differences well. Location doesn’t allow dogs inside but there is an outdoor seating area that is dog friendly. Looking forward to coming back!

This is the most endearing coffee spot I've ever been to! It is the only place I've visited that can brew me better coffee than I can brew for myself at home with my Chemex. An absolute must for coffee lovers. Big shoutout to Tom for being an absolute boss, great guy, love this spot!

This is an amazing coffee shop with a factory right on-site that produces fresh roasted coffee beans. We visited this place on a recent trip to Stowe,VT and were stunned by the vibe and flavors. Going into the roasting favorite is such a cool experience. They have tons of coffee ready to go, including fresh drip for dining on-site as well as bagged coffee to take home with you. I think one of the best takeaways was some of the advice from the baristas on how to store and manage our coffee supply. All the staff were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful.

A unique, interesting place. The guy who served us was professional, warm, knowledgeable and took his time talking coffee with my husband. Adorable shop with neat vibe. Husband had a shot of the espresso blend - then we bought some beans. He really enjoyed it.

Disappointing coffee bean purchase. The beans were not roasted as indicated on the bag (i.e. “light”) or consistently roasted. Coffee did not smell or taste good.

Stopped here to get an Oat milk latte during our visit to Stowe. Very smooth and delicious. Not acidic at all. It was a delightful treat! The cafe is beautiful and so are the grounds. Highly recommend!

Neat coffee shop located in the mountains near Stowe. We stopped in for a matcha latte and wish we could’ve stayed a little longer. Would be a great spot to bring a book and read or meet up with a friend. Adorable setup with plenty of tables / workspace, and a neat view into the back of the house (with some coffee grinding machinery on display). Staff were friendly and made thoughtful recommendations. We’ll be back next time we’re in the area!

I drove over an hr away just to have the cappuccino. I love the ambience and baristas are very knowledgeable and friendly. I love the cappuccino and it has a beautiful view along with outside seating.

Cute coffee shop/not a few desserts outside of coffee but no breakfast options

this was a disappointing coffee visit. was the coffee good... yes, so what was the issue you ask .. I ordered a 16 Oz cold brew and got a 8 Oz coffee with 8 Ozs of foam (see photo). When I inquired about the lack of coffee the girls just said it was normal because of the nitrogen infusion. haha so when I order a Guinness and it foams up the bartender let's it sit and adds more beer till it's a pint, but there a $5 16 Oz cold brew is really 8 Oz. it's tasted good, but no thank you. buyer beware. this is what it looked like when the foam settled and i showed the people there hoping they would to it off. my fault i should have been more clear with my question. Next time I'll skip the barn and go to Dunkin.

We had the pleasure of staying just up the road from this fantastic Roasting House Coffee Bar. They do a great job and their coffee is delicious!! The CATAMOUNT blend is our absolute favorite. Don’t miss this place if you’re in the Waterbury/Stowe area!!

Mixed Feelings About My Recent Visit to The Vermont Artisan’s Coffee & Tea Bar Review: I've been a regular at The Coffee Bar for the past six years, drawn in by the warm service and the exceptional coffee. My visit on February 10th, however, left me with mixed feelings. On the positive side, barista #1’s (B1) in-depth knowledge about coffee, especially regarding the density of Brazilian coffee beans, was as impressive as ever. It's this expertise and passion for coffee that has always made my stops here a highlight. However, the service during this visit was notably different. Upon entering, I didn't receive the usual greeting or offer to help from barista #2 (B2) who wasn't assisting other customers at the time. Although I managed to pick out a pound of coffee for purchase and request it to be ground—which B2 did—I felt overlooked, as there was no effort to engage with me further or inquire if I wanted anything else. After B1 finished assisting another couple, neither of the baristas made any attempt to acknowledge me or ask if I needed help, despite the now quieter store. This lack of interaction, combined with B1 checking his phone instead of engaging with present customers, significantly impacted my experience. Although I had planned to order my annual treat of a Maple Latte, after 20 minutes without proper acknowledgment, I chose to leave and found the warmth and prompt service I was looking for at Lake Champlain Chocolates. I believe in the importance of customer service, especially in a setting as personal as a coffee shop. While I deeply respect the coffee knowledge at The Coffee Bar, the service aspect was lacking during my last visit. I hope this feedback can be seen as an opportunity for improvement, as I know from personal experience in customer service how vital it is to make each customer feel valued. Best regards, Doug D

I love the freshly roasted coffee here. The red barn and giant "Coffee" silo are iconic. On my recent trip I tried the Rooibos Latte (pictured) and it tasted like a melted creamsicle in the best way possible! Awesome stop.

Excellent pour over from a staff with great banter and even more incredible customer service. Get your caffeine fix with an amazing drink! And if your like me, take 5lbs of beans home to make the memory last.

I love purchasing coffee here because the owner, Mane, knows his stuff. His coffee bean and roasting choices result in amazing brews. There's a coffee shop here, offering sweets, barista drinks and products to go. I recently stopped for a tin of whole flower Chamomile tea. YUM. If I hadn't had someone waiting for me I would have sat awhile at the outdoor fire pit 🙂

The gentleman behind the counter was very patient with the many questions I had and also very generous in the sharing of his knowledge. Much appreciated.

What a way to spend a morning! Wonderful coffee from prep to presentation to first sip!

We tried a delicious golden mocha latte with oat milk. It was perfectly sweet and flavorful. The maple walnut scone was delectable. Such a cute coffee shop with a roastery and coffee school for classes.

Loved the coffee when we stopped by at the shop while on vacation. Decided to order some for Xmas gifts. Ordered for 12/22 delivery. Waited, waited…. Christmas came and gone. I called. No answer. Left voicemail. No response. I emailed. No reply. Finally received the package after Xmas. I know they don’t have control over USPS. But they do have control over their customer service. While I loved their coffee, the experience has left a bad aftertaste. Would not be ordering again.

This restaurant offers fantastic coffee and tea, and I have always been a huge fan of their products. The overall experience was quite satisfying as well, with delicious pastries and a great selection of food.

Be prepared to wait in the morning as there’s demand for their coffee and each cup is especially made for you. There isn’t a big batch of coffee premade. The chocolate syrup flavor was very yummy! They have a multi day coffee school I’d love to be able to attend if I was local. Nice fire pit outside for a cold day and beautiful smell.

Unknowingly showed up 10 min before opening. All doors open, walked in, to the baristas making coffee. Was told politely they're not open yet. Easy and fine, but real missed opportunity for a step further in customer service to just make a quick coffee or offer drip. Coffee has been fine the other times I've gone in.

Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea is great! I’ve driven past this place a billion times and I finally decided to stop in recently - I was pleasantly surprised with how good their drinks are! This place has lots of parking and the regular café is on the bottom level. However, they do have a second level where they offer coffee courses and barista classes so you can literally open your own coffee shop if you want. That’s awesome!! This place is probably the reason why there are so many great coffee shops around the central part of Vermont, so I have massive respect for them! I tried a unique fall seasonal iced cofffee drink that had ginger and some other elements to it, and my fiancée tried an iced oolong tea. Both were excellent, and I have absolutely no complaints. This place actually has great prices for their drinks, much more reasonable than other coffee shops near Stowe, so that’s another massive benefit. I definitely will be coming here more regularly in the future. Highly recommend!!

They have great coffee here. We actually started getting it delivered on a subscription basis we enjoyed it so much.

By far, the cutest coffee shop and most delicious coffee in Vermont. The service was impeccable. The barista remembered who we were and checked in on us every morning. We had the most delicious drinks. The maple nitro was the perfect amount of creaminess and sweetness. We also got a latte and cappuccino. The coffee was SO incredibly delicious that we couldn’t help but come back every day of our vacation. We also got the pastel de natel (not pictured), which is a pastry with custard cream. Absolutely delicious as well. In addition to the wonderful service, excellent coffee, and delicious pastry, the location itself was beautiful. The coffee shop is housed in a barn that’s warm and homey on the inside. Beautiful interior design. 10/10 would recommend!!!

It was so busy when I came in 45 minutes before closing. Just know they close their doors 30 minutes before hand. The roastery is so cool, really cool interior and the latte I order was just perfect. Highly recommend checking them out if you are in town.

Bought coffee for my daughter. Smelled amazing

Went there because it is close to where we stayed and a friend mentioned it. Coming from Seattle, the coffee was just ok. No warm food. Several sweet dry pastries. The cashier was not very friendly. I paid for 2 coffee and 2 pastries. No “Thank you” from her. Then I bought 2 bottles of maple syrup, didn’t get a Thank you either. Also the place is plan, no vibe, atmosphere or culture. I don’t see a reason to go back there

I got the Latte it was really good. The young lady who took care of us was really nice and helpful. We went almost at closing time and she gave us the last muffin since they were closing.

Must do for any coffee lover. Great choice of coffee good service. Just tried the breakfast blend back at home in the UK. Hits the spot 👍

Iced latte was good! However, no pastries available when we stopped by. Also, the Colombia coffee bag does not show where which finca the coffee is from which is interesting. Lastly, the baristas are OK with greeting the white folks but radio silent with the foreigners. Overall, expected more.

If you are a coffee person and want to experience what a good cup of coffee tastes like, this is the place. You won't get any snacks, but you can observe how coffee is processed and made. Seating arrangements are okay, like a bar setting. But it's not enough to serve a huge number of customers Anyhow, it was an interesting place to be.

Stopped in for a latte! Thought for sure it was going to be great….it wasn’t. Tasted burnt with not much other flavor. Presentation was good but taste was just bad! I was really disappointed! Staff were friendly and the place was crowded…clearly a tourist stop but not worth it cause the coffee wasn’t good!

Coffee was great and the pastries were pleasant (the little design in my cappuccino is just adorable)! It’s awesome that you can see inside the factory where the coffee is being made! Seems to be a great place to hang out and enjoy a cup of joe. The outside of the building has nice landscapes as well. Had to buy a couple bags of coffee beans for a souvenir! You must stop by when driving up to Stowe!

I got here a half hour before closing and there was a line. Ordered Jo Jo's ginger maple latte, a tea, and a pastel de nata. All wonderful.

Long line, slow service but excellent coffee. They could have been understaffed for the busy season. Cappuccino was extremely delicious.

Excellent coffee and worth a visit to get it fresh from the roasting-source. Smooth operation even when crowded but little room to sit, relax and enjoy your hot nectar.

On the busiest weekend and they have one barista and one machine! Not worth the wait or the hype. Go to the Roastery excellent coffee there.

If you’re looking for a delicious, welcoming coffee spot, this is the place. The baristas are awesome and the atmosphere is very cozy. Sam is one of the best parts of my day and he makes a mean cup of Joe. Highly recommend.

Amazingly great coffee, awesome place! Drove by it going in to Stowe. We ended up staying right next door at Cabins in the Woods, which made for an entirely awesome weekend altogether. Vermont Artisan Coffee is a great place to start your day, great tasting, flavorful coffee in a great setting, with great staff. Highly recommend, if you’re staying in Stowe, take the less than 10 min drive out on 100 and visit Vermont Artisan Coffee, you will be glad you did.

The location is beautiful but I was underwhelmed by the actual coffee. For an “artisan coffee” shop, I expected to be given options on how I wanted my coffee prepared (grind, roast, brewing technique, etc.). Instead I was served a generic drip cup of coffee with no questions asked or details provided.

A masterful and consistent coffee roaster with immaculate facilities in view from the cafe. Staff are cheerful and informative if you have questions about beans, brewing, or coffee mug maintenance. Pastries and sweets complement the quality of the coffee. My only disappointment is that they haven't been brewing decaf in recent months. They do offer Americano decaf. Vermont Artisan Dark Roast Decaf is a staple in our kitchen where halfcaf is the rule in the afternoon and evening. Indoor and outdoor tables with pleasant walking trails and picnic spots on the property.

A friend of ours lives in the area and had been wanting to try this place, so we stopped in for some lattes. Best latte I ever had. I decided to pick up some of their regular coffee to take home and now it’s my go to coffee. On top of all that, it’s a cool spot to go to.

The employees are extremely knowledgeable about coffee. I learned a lot from them! I had a matcha latte, which was excellent. We also got a cold brew, which was extremely bitter. We sent that back for an americano and it was much better. I think they make a large amount at once, and it sits in a keg or something. Excellent all around, but recommended tasting the product every day before pouring if it premade.

We saw the big red barn with the black and white lettering that said artisan coffee. We had to stop. The maple syrup latte was a suggestion by the barista. Let me tell you that coffee was amazing! We even got the maple syrup to go since it was that good.

Nice cafe to visit! It’s huge outside and pretty big inside too. They are very nice and friendly and they also sell coffee beans and syrups. I tried cappuccino and it was good! 🫶🏻

Very cute café. Shop itself is tiny compared to the big building it's in but still neat to visit. Coffee and tea quality is great! Their baked goods were flavorful and moist.

Hot chocolate and latte was amazing. The place is cool, you can drink your coffee in a special place near the factory machine while seeing the roast process.

I stopped by the artisan coffee roaster and shop in Waterbury and was pleased to see their products sold at many outlets in the area. The beans were fresh, but I was disappointed that there was no roasting time on each bag - I think this could be more transparent. However, the young man who prepared my pour over was very kind and made it exactly to my taste. The young lady who helped me with my transaction was also patient and helpful. However, the third older gentleman who jumped in to help with the cashier seemed less than welcoming. Every time I asked him about a blend, he acted dismissive and talked about multiple blends that weren't relevant to my question. I personally love visiting roasteries and learning from their expertise, but this experience didn't live up to my expectations. Overall, it's a good coffee shop, but I hope the staff can work on being more welcoming and transparent with their customers.
