Welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Ate in the sun room in the rear. Soup was delicious and came with pasta salad and corn bread. Very charming ambience.

Old Ft Kenai cabin ambiance. Fresh ingredients, can be busy. Closeds at 4:00 in the afternoon. Salads are crisp full of ingrediences to chomp. Sands and wraps are filled and tasty! Soups are handcrafted and the Tuesday mushroom soup is my fav and I never ate mushrooms unless chopped and invisible in anything. I am a single resident, Hard to cook for one so they sustain me often!

Someone there doesn’t make my drink right when I said no whip in my drink and that person put whip in my drink when I didn’t want it. And they didn’t have anymore clam chowder when I wanted some. There was another time when I was there I was still finishing up my lunch and my drink there I got up to go use the restroom they took my lunch and my drink when I wasn’t done with them yet. So they gave me a new drink with free of charge and half a sandwich to go with my drink.

Cute shop with plenty of great food options- absolutely delicious!! It gets pretty packed as there’s not tons of seating and lots of people love it. Definitely recommend! The roof was kinda leaking on the outer portion during the rain when we came, but the drips were pretty easy to avoid.

So delicious! And fresh, clean ingredients. I can imagine this place can get very busy. We happened to hit it at 1:30 on a Thursday, the first of August and there was no wait. The staff was very busy making it difficult to get napkins and forks that were forgotten but it was easily forgotten after taking the first bite.

We saw some breakfast items on the menu so came in at 10:30 only to find out they were already out of quiche. Everything else on the menu is lunch so we decided to get our drinks to go. We ordered 1 latte, a 12oz hot chocolate, a kids milk and a kids chocolate milk. 45 mins later, we were given a latte, 16oz hot chocolate, a kids milk and a 12 oz hot chocolate. It was corrected with cold milk with cocoa mix. Service was slow and disorganized and the latte was watery.

Great and awesome place to have breakfast or lunch. Their tomato basil soup is amazing, and the rest of the menu is expectacular. Their employees are great in service, 110% recommended!!!

One of the best places to go for soup & sandwich in Kenai. Right in the middle of the old timey part of Kenai on the bluffs, such a cool historical location, too.

A 'must' to visit, if you are in the Kenai area. Perfect food and drinks, friendly people and a scenic view to the ocean! Highly recommended!!!

I always enjoy lunch here! The cornbread is phenomenal, I’ve ordered it to go to eat with chili from charlottes…if only Veronica’s had chili or charlottes had cornbread!

Great service and nice atmosphere.

I know Veronicas has a lot of great reviews but I can't say I was happy with the food. It was $20 for lunch just like everywhere else but my sandwich was barely a sandwich. Hardly any meat or toppings on the sandwich, the portion of pickled beets was small but tasty. I felt like I could have eaten 3 of what I had and might have been full. I would much rather go someplace else that I feel like I get my money's worth. That being said I loved the location and our server was nice.

Absolutely my favorite place in Kenai. Flew into Alaska to see my terminally ill sister. Her husband took us there first and the service is fantastic as well as the food. Veronica's is full of charm. Only open til 4pm. This was on March 4th, 2023

Very slow service. I had to correct our server several times on a fairly simple order — it still came out wrong. The food was okay. Fairly tasty and well-priced, but the service was just not worth it.

Love this little tucked away gem of Kenai. The rustic/hometown aesthetic is spot on. The staff is very sweet and helpful and the food is fantastic! Light yet filling foods. Fun place for a cup of coffee or grabbing a healthy bite to eat.

This place was amazing! Very quaint with indoor and outdoor seating. The food and the service were excellent! It is off the beaten path but I highly recommend.

Gluten-free, food was fantastic!!!! The understanding of gluten-free and cross-contamination was a bit hard for them to understand but they were gracious and worked with me on a safe meal, and it was the best creamy chicken wild rice soup I have ever tasted.

Had a turkey sandwich served with penne with parmesan. My drink, white chocolate Carmel mocha coffee. The restaurant is in older part of Kenai, so learned allot of history. Beautiful scenery next to the ocean. Very cool.

Just visited for the first time and I was blown away by the level of service and quality we received. We were immediately greeted by the server, they were very kind and happy to answer any questions. The atmosphere is phenomenal and I seriously cannot compliment the server enough, best service I’ve ever received. They even offer a sample for their soups so you can be sure you’re a fan before you commit to a whole bowl.

I don't often order food. The one time I did, it just wasn't that fab. That being said. Don't take my word on the food, but fabulous ☕️ coffee and 🍵 tea. Chai tea is amazing. The ambiance is very warm, comfy, and inviting. Local artists' work displayed, etc. Oh and 🍨 🥧 desserts. 😋 Yum!! Must go to Veronica's if you live here and especially if you visit.

Cute breakfast nook on the grounds of the Orthodox Russian church in old Kenai city. We had the cashew chicken salad sandwich, the clam chowder and the pickled cabbage side. All very good except too much sesame oil in the pickled cabbage! Sesame oil is dispensed for flavor- a drop is all it takes in a large batch. I was burping sesame oil burps all the way to Homer. Charming cafe and grounds. The parking lot has a bumper crop of wild rose hips should anyone want to harvest.

Every element of the meal was delicious and the service was great. The ambiance is awesome too.

I saw several bedbugs and shrews here. The last time I went, there was a bedbugs in my salad. Meningitis is real, folks. My third cousin died from it.

Just about the cutest little cafe you ever want to see. Food is excellent. Staff are friendly. They are very busy but it is well worth the wait. Getting ready to try some delicious desserts. Dessert delicious

We enjoyed a delicious lunch. I chose the clam chowder, salad and corn bread lunch. It was fabulous. I highly recommend that choice. I even got to try their pickled cabbage. So good! We had good service too.

We had a delicious lunch at Victoria’s. The sandwich and soup special was superb. Don’t get me started on the desserts! So good!

Highly recommend trying this place out! Sandwiches and soups were very tasty, and the service was great! Gluten free bread option was available for the sandwiches which was nice to see. Lots drink options including coffee, lattes, tea, lemonades, etc. There’s seating both inside and outside. Inside there’s a greenhouse-like room decorated with hanging glass orbs, which is really pretty. Only one bathroom located outside the building, in the back.

Veronica's is a highlight every time I get to visit Kenai. This restaurant, in my opinion, exemplifies why people love small towns and their restaurants. The food was amazing, every soup is better than the last and the cornbread!!! Staff was kind and gracious, you would very much be missing out if you passed by without grabbing a bite, or a Cookie!

I think had they offered more than an an apology, I would have rated them better. They said they were busy, yet 2 tables that had more people at them and ordered after us received all their food way before us. We never got the food in time to eat. My companions had to leave. I got the food after waiting over 30 minutes. It would have just been nice on their part had they taken responsibility for the error. Instead of making excuses that were obviously not true.... Finally after 4 hours we ate our food. The corn bread is super good even cold...it is sweet not savory. The rest of the food was very good.

It‘s such a lovely place I almost forgot to eat there. But you totally should. Delicious is the only word that comes in mind. I sure will get a sandwich there, the next time I‘m in Nikiski.

The soups are vibrant, the cornbread is kickin and the staff are laced with violent criminality. It’s everything a Virginian like me has been looking for! I’m eating here daily despite the assault charges and blatant threats to my work, home and side business by telebarista Gracie Carpenter.

I’ve been going to Veronica’s Cafe for almost 10 years. Never had a bad experience. The open mic nights they do are a lot of fun and the group is friendly. Food and coffee is reasonably priced and consistently good.

Over many years we've enjoyed the fine food and old-town ambiance at Veronica's. These are tough times for restaurants around Alaska due to acute staff shortages. But last week I received courteous service and a yummy salad. But what drove me to finally post this review is that I left my wallet on the premises. The staff and owner went out of their way to get it back to me, intact. Honest folks plus a tradition of good eats earns five stars by my reckoning.

Cranberry wrap and tomato bisque, with a view of Cook Inlet situated between Russian Colonial cabins. Oh and a great cup of coffee in the greenhouse. Veronica’s so very comfortable.

Fantastic surprise for lunch! The veggie quiche on rosemary polenta crust with clam chowder and corn bread (not sure what was in this but it was the best cornbread I ever have!) Highly recommend the stop, cute place and great view of Cook Inlet!

Veronica's is the best place to grab coffee and a bite to eat; I come here all the time to study and write research papers (I'm literally here right now writing this review). Friendly staff, a relaxing historic atmosphere, and outstanding food and coffee make this corner of Old Town Kenai a must visit!
