Late in my review but...what a hidden treasure this place is! Everything we had was perfect...all I can say!

They were busy but a set righy away

Enviorment and staff were nice. I got the mac and cheese and it was so tasteless and bland and it looked just as bland as it tastes. No color. The chicken in it is shredded and unseasoned. No taste of rosemary at all. Literally tastes like pasta noodles and cream. The cheese wasn't even that flavorful. Super dissapointed. I imagine this is the worst item in the menu. The guest I was with got the lo mein and it looked good.

The food was excellent. I'm glad we got take-out. The restaurant was packed.

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was top notch - friendly, attentive and available. Trendy, pub style atmosphere that locals love to go to and bring their out of town guests to as well. This team could easily expand or open another larger location and be successful. Add Village Pump to your restaurant tour!

The food is great and the service is even better. The only issue I have is that they allow standing room around the bar and the place is too small for that. Drunk people running into you while you are trying to eat isn’t fun.

I regret not trying this place sooner. For a smaller establishment, the venue feels both spacious and welcoming. In regard to the food, I could not have been happier. Not only was my meal presented well and the flavor profile extremely explosive, all the dishes that I saw being brought out to other patrons looked well prepared. I'm told my chef/cook tonight is also part owner. Hats off to Travis for the great food. Celina who I understand is also and owner, provided excellent service and I would certainly be happy to return here.

The Village Pump answers the question, "What happens when great chefs are also great people, and great bartenders are also kind and approachable?" This is Cheers meets small fine dining. Where else can you enjoy a slow aged steak while your spouse is eating the best Cheeseburger in the area? VP is the definition of "High Low Dining." One day, try a complex seasonal special, the next try the fried chicken sandwich. You won't be disappointed either way

Sub par service then food was cold fries are niblets bartender and owner said they are getting little potatoes hahahaha....owner comes out in clown pants and doesn't even say hello just looks around like he's lost or talks to friends noone else then his wife is always stressed out but tries to engage with customers but doesn't really mean it....what a joke....I got staples in my ytown chicken and owner said thanks for not making a big deal out of it...but I get treated like a second class citizen guess you have to know clown pants or clown wife to get treated like a human being i had cold food and little bits of fries and she said dont come back....great customer service lmao 🤣 what a frkng joke for an owner the kids that work their have more class and manners

Had a great experience here for date night! The french dip was super flavorful and the Lomein off the charts! Re-revisited May 2023, got the Paella and chicken marsala. Paella was good but lacked the robust seasoning. Marsala was good but made my mash pot like water from the sauce.

Great selection of beer. Highly recommend the fish sticks. Two years later, this place is still great. Our favorite couple meal are 2 appetizers, the chips and fish sticks. A huge bowl of home made "kettle chips" and 4 2"x2"x5"-6" fish sticks. Add a beer or 2, and it's an absolute 2-person feast. Latest test, the Paella is excellent!

Food is excellent and it’s a laid back place. Kayla was a wonderful server.

Home town bar and grill with some of the best dishes served with a staff that just rocks on top of everything. They are so fast and seems like I'm eating with friends every time i come. Thank you all. This staff is a true team. I will be back every chance I get. Especially since it's so close i could not be happier.

We had a great experience! The service was good and so was the food! For apps we had hot peppers and oil, Scottish eggs, and the rice balls. All of which were good. For a meal we all the ribeye and they were all perfect! Would definitely come here again.

The Village Pump is a place to visit for great food and great beer selections. There is nothing on the menu that isn't good. I would suggest Pork Lo Mein or their Beef Stroganoff which has goat cheese that takes it to another level.

We go here quite often. Good food and a good location. Smaller place so get here early. Small menu selection but everything on it is delicious.

The food is great, the beer selection is all local breweries. It is a little small and can be tough to get in, the staff is always great and work through the tight spaces.

Always receive great service...specials are outstanding along with the already solid everyday menu. Also great drinks and along with delightful craft beer menu.

The best restaurant in Youngstown!!!!! The food is always amazing to the taste buds, employees make you feel like you are at home, and the atmosphere is very quaint. We love the Village Pump :)

If the artichokes are on special they are a MUST. We've been coming to the village pump consistently since 2020, and every experience is better than the last. Great staff, fun atmosphere and delicious food.

Nice experience! Service was excellent and prompt. The food was very good. I had the turkey panini which went perfect with my craft beer (great local selection), husband loved his burger and fresh cut fries. Small neighborhood bar feel, will go back for a quick meal.

Unique little restautant bar with an ecclectic menu. The food was wonderful and the service just as good. Very small restaurant that was busy all night. We will be going there again.

We had a fantastic meal on Tuesday. The rice balls, burger & fries, mac & cheese and peanut butter pie were ALL amazing and worth the hour drive to experience. Wishing they were local is an understatement!

Always a great meal! The rice balls, lo mein, and wedge salad are some of my faves... But I never have anything bad. Service is always fabulous too.

Excellent food. A cozy friendly place. Our first time eating here but we will be back when traveling in the area. Definitely try the hamburger helper if it’s on the menu as a special. Was fantastic. Erica was our server. She was the BEST!

Talk about some good food they have some good food and the beer is some good beer I recommend it yes it's pricey but I'm you're going to see me say that on everything because everything is so damned expensive today
