Beautiful 360 views of the water with great food

Sara was amazing with booking our wedding rehearsal on 5/30. She had excellent communication and was very personable. The bartenders and servers delivered stellar service. The food was great and the views speak for themselves. I highly recommend this hotel, the rooftop restaurant. we look forward to using them again for future celebrations.

This is not a full restaurant and you should not be coming here for a dinner meal. At best this is a very poor serviced pool bar. When it comes to the food, very poor quality hotel food and you can tell they are on a budget. Seems like their budget is so small they can't spare to make full size crab cakes. Slider sized at best. Something on the menu was called Crazy Potatoes the only crazy thing is that they thought spreading some sauce in the bottom of a full plate of wedges was going to make an appetizer. We were better off ordering from Publix deli than what we got. Absolute terrible service, our waitress dropped our food and bounced. Never saw her again, had to keep coming up to the bar for condiments, boxes and our check. Check your receipt and perhaps take a picture of your signed bill, she also thought it was a good idea to add her self a nice tip without our authorization.

This place is a joke. A beautiful view wasted for a place that is always understaffed who has a staff that only cares about you if you flag them down taking them away from their phones. They didn’t wash their hands after using the phones which was disgusting. I was trying to hang out and they made me feel really uncomfortable, I felt rushed out and it felt like they were more excited about getting out of there . Hire people who actually won’t scare away customers. The drinks were not balanced and the food was cold . I had the pork sliders and crab cakes. Bland flavor and they were not even warm what so ever. I was told the kitchen is downstairs but that shouldn’t be an excuse . I visit time to time from Orlando and whoever build this place has no idea what true hospitality is. And don’t even get me started about the front desk of this hotel 🙄. Got greeted with a “ya… are you checking in?” Wonderful view and wonderful island. Horrible business and horrible service . Don’t visit here unless you are just going for the view.

I’ve been coming to the rooftop for 3 years and the views, service, and food are amazing! Bartenders Sheridan, Laura, and Austin make quality drinks and always make my experience enjoyable. Great local spot!

For the past couple months I have had the chance to be employed by Vista at the Top. I was really nervous working around people again, being that my career choice is Dog Training. Fortunately I had nothing to be nervous about all this time. I have been treated nothing but kindly. Organized routine, full time hours, benefits, amazing staff, management and wonderful food. The hotel handles hospitality very well. Dakota is a great, reputable manager. He makes sure that is staff needs are met, whether that is working enough hours, listening to his employees, being attentive, proactive, giving us proper advice and in general providing a stress-free environment. Unfortunately after not finding a house nearby the hotel, I had to move further away. Dakota has been nothing but helpful while I navigate myself through this new part of my life, putting more focus onto my new business while remaining employed part time. I would 100% recommend any eligible candidates to apply to work here, as it is such a unique and beneficial experience. As well as taking a visit to enjoy the food, rooftop atmosphere and wonderful service. One of my favorite part of the menu is that anyone can enjoy our menu. Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, pescatarian, non dairy, keto, carnivore, you name it! The Vista will take good care of you. Thank you again☺️

Enjoyed our time - mainly because of the views, the music, and the drinks were pretty good. The service wasn’t the best. Also, may be false advertising (?) But the signage says for happy hour that the craft cocktails were $7, so we were excited to check that out, but it turns out only the well drinks with a mixer was in the deal, so we were a bit disappointed

Stayed here for about a week and tried this place twice. Crab cakes were some of the best I ever had. Beer taps were out of order so had to have cans or bottles. Great service from the bartenders. Bring a jacket because it is windy up there. Would definitely go back.

This is definitely an awesome spot to meet friends for drinks, apps, and an unbeatable view. It is definitely light fare/tapas style, so if you want a big meal, this isn't it. But it's a really great place to check out whether you're local or visiting!

Some of the best teamwork/service my family has ever seen by the 1 bartender and 1 server this evening. They took on the whole floor at sunset by themselves and it was BUSY. I did not catch their names, but the male bartender had an English accent and the female server moved so fast and efficiently; it was artistic to watch them work so well together. Food and drinks were phenomenal as well. The view is incredible.

We have been coming here for a few years now and we live on the island. We have seen a few staff members come and go. But you hit the jackpot with your new manager! She was not only helping the staff with cleaning tables and taking orders, but she did it all while helping someone move tables together for large family that came in. She even went downstairs just to get us extra sauce because the kitchen to this restaurant is downstairs. We haven’t had the best service in the past here so we are happy to see the change . Food & drinks were outstanding, but the service was top notch. Laura was positive, efficient, and made her job look easy. She was the only person handling all the tables at sunset so it was very busy, but she did it with grace. I commend her for her work ethic.

I had my rehearsal dinner here on 3/1/24. The coordinator Sarah was so sweet and accommodating. The price per person to host a partial event was amazing for the location. It is truly a beautiful place with stunning views. The food, drinks, and deserts were great as well. The only complaint was that we were promised they had heaters if it was chilly. On the night of the dinner it was kind of chilly and my guest were cold. When my planner asked the night of staff for the heater they stated they did not have them. This is the reason I give the service 3/5 stars. Other than that the night was amazing.

This was SO much better than the restaurant next door. Good food, good service, good music all 3 nights we stayed.

Good drinks with a great view. High above and wonderful view. Relax and sit back while enjoying a few good drinks. Only area for improvement is on the service side. I can see why it is recommended for a sunset.

Truly had the best date with my man here on Valentine’s day. The staff accidentally messed up part of our order, so they gave us another round of drinks on the house. Then, my boyfriend (6’5 big guy) finished his meal so quickly, they gave him another plate. On top of that, it was so cold outside, the staff brought me a blanket to wrap around my body. I can’t make this up! I told all of my friends & family about this place immediately. Food was amazing, best staff ever, & nicest Valentines date experience. The live music was also great and the atmosphere was peaceful & romantic. Can’t wait to come back. THANK YOU. ❤️

As a seasonal resident, I've been here several times over the past 2 years. Beautiful view. Great atmosphere. Consistently under staffed resulting in poor service. Inconsistent mixed drinks - order beer or wine to avoid disappointment.

I attended the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce Christmas Party this year at Vista at the Top. As an ambassador for the chamber, this is definitely a place I recommend when you are on the South Gulf Beaches in Pinellas County. The view on the rooftop bar is amazing. We were able to see a beautiful sunset overlooking the water. The staff was present and helpful with the amount of people that showed up. If you are looking for a new rooftop bar

A rooftop bar on the 7th floor of the Tierra Verde Residence Inn, Vista at the Top has breathtaking views of the Marina and the Tierra Verde area on two sides. They also have a dazzling and ornate Sunday Brunch loaded with delectable and appetizing options from which to choose. A veritable feast for the eyes and tummy. On Sunday, they had music in the form of a steel drum player emoting an island vibe and sounds. A beautiful, sunny and cool day perfect for an outdoor experience. The striking and elegant fare was meticulously and ornately laid out for your perusal and selection. Cost is $65 per person and cocktails are available at the bar. A titallating and evocative start to your day surrounded by resplendent beauty and an enticing and nurturing meal. A great bucket list treat for a special occasion. Weather can be an issue if it's raining so check your forecast prior to your visit.

Wow! Just WOW! Amazing brunch! Great food, great view, great live music, but most of all, great staff! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! They had oysters, smoked salmon, blue crab casserole, cheese blintz, grilled salmon and much more! $45 per person is totally worth it. And open bar is just $20 per person. Awesome Bloody Mary, Mimosas and Margaritas! Too bad the brunch is just once a week. Will come back for dinner.

Beautiful views of the Tierra Verde Island!!!

Just went for drinks and the atmosphere. Went on a Monday afternoon and it was dead. The bar staff was very friendly. Drinks are not too over priced. Cool vibe.

I would highly recommend hosting your private event at Vista at the Top. From the moment I called to inquire through the end of the event, it was a great experience. Food and drinks were excellent and the service went above and beyond. A special thanks to Deborah and Dakota for making the event such a success.

If you’re going here, it’s for the view. Please note this restaurant is located in the residence inn and you must take the hotel elevator to the top floor. Wait staff was very friendly! Virgin Piña Coladas did the job and were decorated very nicely. The watermelon and feta salad was good. Something you could easily make yourself, but the pepitas were a nice touch. Kinda pricey. Again, mainly just going here for the view and drinks. I would like to see some unique food dishes arise from this place. I think it would make them really stand out. Maybe some fresh ingredients. Keep going, you guys have great potential!

The view was absolutely amazing. We ate outside and ordered island pork sliders and the watermelon feta salad. Both were very good. Drinks were good and prices were average.

Tasty tapas spot with nice, summery drinks. The view is lovely and the staff friendly. Heads up: Sunday through Thursday, the kitchen closes at 9 (and Friday and Saturday at 10), info that would have been helpful but wasn't posted or acknowledged in any way.
