Perfect taste of Chinese to dine in.

Just flew into Houston and wanted Indian food and searched on google and this place popped up. Not disappointed at all the flavors are really good, I got the Chana masala and it was really good will be going back.

Incredibly spicy Green Curry chicken with garlic naan and Jeera rice is what we had. It was very very good. Limca soda to wash it down (it was sort of like a carbonated lemonade). Anderson Fernandez took care of us. 10/10 and open LATE.

We ordered chicken lollipop and shrimp biryani Togo. The chicken lollipop was fine, but the shrimp biryani had no taste at all, and the rice was swimming in oil. The amount of oil in the biryani would make you vomit whatever biryani you ate.

This place is sooooo good! The food was absolutely delicious. Sorry I ate it before I took a picture 😬😬. Anderson was so nice and I just loved his personality!! Will definitely be back soon!! Thank you for a wonderful meal and great conversation!

Wow! Just wow!! My first taste of butter chicken was on a cruise recently. Viva’s butter chicken far surpassed it. It was beyond delicious, and the cheesy naan bread was great and even better when used to scoop up the butter chicken sauce. The service was great, and the server even shared some Indian history along with history of the restaurant. I can’t way to return and try other Indian dishes.

This place is for sure a hidden gem for Indian food. Its one of those place where everything on the menu must be good. We ordered the following: 1. Manchow soup - 4/5 - The taste was so good, nice & spicy & proper Mumbai indo-chinese taste. Fried noodles could have been better. 2. Sz. Chicken Lollypop - 5/5 - Best masala chicken lollypop that I have had in Houston thus far. If you like chicken lollypop, just go for it. 3. Sz. Chicken friend rice - 3/5 - Again, very close to mumbai indo-chinese, could have been better, while it was good but consider other things on the menu, you aren’t missing something if you don’t order this. 4. Butter Chicken - 5/5 - This is for sure a must try. It was so good and the spice vs sweetness was perfectly balanced with a lot of butter. You cannot miss this if you visit this place. 5. Garlic Naan - 3/5 - Could have been better but the butter chicken made up for this. Overall, I think this is a good place for indo-chinese & indian food, definitely a must try if you aren’t looking for something necessarily fancy but good indian food is your priority.

When you come in, you will be greeted with a big smile and open arms to a extraordinary experience to discover the Indian Cuisine!

I’m Indian and this is one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. Don’t be fooled by the sketchy location or the name being Spanish. The food was so flavorful and everything was freshly made. The chicken was tender and delicious! The gentleman there expertly handled our big orders while juggling other take away and dine-in orders as well. I’m so glad we checked this place out.

If you want Indian dhaba style fresh and hot food late night in Houston, then this is your place! Service was great, dal, kadhai chicken and naan were delicious too! Highly recommend this place, brownie points for serving food late night! 😃

Hidden Gem.. Indian food at its best.. really flavorful no adulteration. I ordered a takeaway late at night, having zero expectations of finding so good Indian food. Really enjoyed the meal, loved their fish curry, prawn biryani and for me the highlight was the Schezuan Hakka Noodles, unique and flavorful… gonna be a frequent customer

Great hidden restaurant in Aldine.

I really wish I could give this place 5 stars. Lemme start by saying service was EXCELLENT. Food was so DELICIOUS. In the picture I post this meal was $60 after tip for 2 chicken butter and some Nan. Which isn’t a big deal but after close to $25 a person before tip I still left hungry . Portions are too small . Portions are too skimpy. Chicken butter is $14 plus naan was $2-4 depending on what you want and then an addition $4 for rice . So I personally got cheese naan at $4 . I feel like I wouldn’t have an issue paying $25 for some delicious Indian food the issue is I left starving I was still very hungry . Make portion a little bigger . comparable to Agas for $15 the plate of chicken butter was way bigger

This place has the best naan I've ever had! I went to Viva Cocina with my husband, since he was unfamiliar with Indian food but wanted to try some. I'm glad we tried this place to introduce him because I wasn't disappointed - like I said, the naan here was the best I'd had so far (we tried the garlic cheese naan), and the biryani was amazing. Husband had the chicken biryani, and I had the prawn. Lots of well-balanced, complex flavor, and the food was very fresh. I don't really know how to describe the flavor of biryani, but if you like biryani, you should definitely try this spot! The place inside was cozy and clean. At the time of this review, the place is pretty small so it can't seat a lot of people at once, but there should be more space opening up soon - the restaurant was able to get the space next to them, so it'll be expanding to fit more people. You can order to-go as well. I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu when we go back. Even as someone who doesn't normally order spicy food, I'll want to order the biryani again after I've tried more dishes. If you're someone who doesn't have a high level of spicy tolerance, just ask about how spicy the dish is when you order and ask for a milder version if needed. If you're looking for food with a good amount of heat that works well with the other flavors in the dish, then the spicy foods will be great without adjustment.

Food is alright, but In my opinion, heavily overpriced in comparison to both quality and quantity.

Don't let the name fool you, Viva Cocina serves delicious Indian food. It is truly a hole in the wall with it's own cozy mood inside. The owners run a clean and friendly space for you to sit down and enjoy your food. They offer a number of Indian and Chinese options. My brother and I tried the Chicken Tikka massala, chicken biriyani, and the butter and garlic naan with 2 soda drinks. The flavors are rich and had a lot of depth, and exceeded my expectations. The food did not feel or taste generic and it was a lovely experience. We will definitely be back for our Chicken Tikka massala cravings!

Visited here for Goan vibes and Food… Anderson went an extra mile for his exceptional customer service !!! Food was flavorful … quality and quantity is worth the price and the hype ! Overall it was a beautiful experience and great ambience ! Beef cutlet stole the show !!! (Ordered it twice)

The curry was super good. Unfortunately my order didn’t come with rice for the price of 13.99 for both :( . Also the naan was alright. The curry was super flavorful and arrived warm! Definitely recommend just wish my order came with rice 🥺

We Just visited the place staff was so rude and food was bland and tasteless, we ordered GOBI Manchurian and they just gave some Gobi pieces dipped in sauce and chicken biryani was awful The staff straight out denied that there food is bad.

Amazing little hole in the wall! Pretty close to the airport and opens until 2am! Everything was delicious! The chicken lollipops and chicken Marsala are to die for. The service is amazing, everyone was so friendly and had some great recommendations!

Pretty great Goan food if you are craving home! The fried fish and rechado definitely were outstanding. Their Indochinese was amazing too and like you get in Goa! I wish they were open during the day too.

Had a wonderful experience at this place (you can literally smell the delicious food outside the restaurant before you get in) The service was very welcoming super nice. I got the butter chicken which was mouthwatering so flavorful with tender chicken, rice was super good as well (tasted very fresh) and the garlic butter naan was outstanding. Was craving Indian food and decided to come check this place out! This is a must eat at!!! Everything from the food and the location is a plus! Inside was very clean and kept nice. Butter chicken and Tikka masala had a lot of flavors in it. I ordered the jeera rice and both was a great combo! The shw chicken lollipop was amazing!!! Soooo much flavor in it! I will def be coming back to try different dishes and go down the menu cuz it was just that delicious! If you're ever in the area, def go check it out! ❤️

Truly a hidden gem here on Aldine mail rt. I'm glad my husband and I decided to try it out-- I had the Chicken Tikka Masala & Green Chicken Curry--found my new favorite spot in Houston. To the other review that mentioned the slow service, yes, It's slow compared to fast food, but I honestly didn't wait that long for what felt like a nice warm home cooked meal from a place that only had 2 individuals working. 10/10, the food was definitely worth any sort of wait. Thank you Anderson for the great service. We'll definitely be back

The appetizers, the chicken lollipop, was great in flavor and so crispy, but the batter was still on most of the drumsticks. The chicken takki was too lemony, but it was okay. The fish tikka was amazing, so delicious, a little spicy but the spiciness was delicious. The chicken tikka masala was amazing, so warm and flavorful. The reason for the lower rating was due to the slow service. Each dish was brought out one by one and I do believe this was due to there only being one chef. The waiter was nice but he was very slow and we were the only ones in the restaurant. We would return, but only because of the delicious food. Hoping to come back on another night when the food comes out sooner and the service is a little more friendly. May be better to do take out.

Our visit to Viva Cocina was amazing from food to ambience to service. GREAT experience, I would recommend Viva Cocina to who looking for special occasion celebration, corporate meetings or just family dinner. This place has checked all the bars for all your expectations. I am new in Houston and Viva Cocina is so far the best Indian restaurants in the area I have came across yet.
