Went there late at night, they were short staffed and had an unusually large number of people there. They did there best I would go back.

Service needs to step up the black girl left me with the tea and ask the other girl to serve me gave me a wrong order with only 1 customer to service 😤 1st waffle house with bad service with a full crew working

Have 3 on food because my Togo order was horrible. I ate there and mine was good. My husband's Togo not so much. I asked to hash browns be cooked a tad bit more than mine. Guess that meant burnt. Bacon burnt too.

As soon as we walked in nobody welcomed us, I didn't even know if anyone will seated us or we should seat ourselves, so I asked. Somebody cleaned our tables very briefly, the floor under our table was dirty. I ordered right away a large OJ, my waitress brought me a 11 ounces Simply Orange bottle ($3.50), she should advise me that they only carry bottle OJ, like it wasn't from me to choose. I ordered a biscuit gravy and sausage with 2 over easy eggs, she misunderstood me and brought 2 but the second one didn't have the eggs!? Why I want 2 orders of the same? My mother hash brown was half raw. At least the coffee was really good, but my waitress didn't even offer to refill it. By then we got enough. I am going back to IHOP, although the coffee there isn't that good.

Im a cook here usually I work second shift (7-2) I sometimes am here earlier in the morning by an hour or so. Im a third generation Waffle House cook and I loooove the food here and try somthing new everyday.

It's called Waffle House for a reason. The waffles are outstanding. Dining area was quite busy, but we were served right away. The food was brought to us in less than five minutes by a very friendly server. No complaints.

Never been to one. Fast service and good breakfast.

No wifi here but the food is amazing. If you want to actually talk to your family come here. No wifi

My husband did an online order and they forgot our meat. The lady told him everything was in the bag and he didn’t check it. She had a bad attitude. We won’t return this location with poor customer service.

Restaurant wasn’t even busy and took nearly an hour for the food. Numerous orders being sent back due to being made wrong.

Waffle House changed the menu and I hate it. It does not have any options

This place is awesome and the reason for the 5 stars is for the employees. But something needs to happen with ownership or managers because they’re always short staffed and half the time not open. When they are the food and people are awesome but it’s a hit or miss if the doors are open 🤷‍♂️

Food is always good, especially late night. I recently returned to this location and had a great experience!! The waitress was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious and hot and fresh. There's just something about waffle house food!

Mrs Joy is the best waitress in S Lakeland.

Well as some of you know I actually work at this location and I can honestly say it is one of the better of the three in the area cleaner by far I literally scrub itthis place every single night top to bottom so I can honestly say that this particular location is always up for your patronage and we thank you in advance have a blessed day

March 29, 2022 First time dining here for a late dinner at Waffle House 🧇 🥚 🥓! The salesperson that received our order and assisted us was Celeste. Waffle, grits, city ham, and two scrambled eggs were all included in the All Star Special that I ordered. Billy did a fantastic job preparing and cooking our meal. Celeste and Billy were two excellent examples of Waffle House employees who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that the food was delicious! Both had wonderful dispositions and were cheerful, and Ernie was a helpful teammate! Strong Suggestion

Fast, friendly and Always "on-point" 👌

Thjs review is for South Lakeland only. Went in at 3 pm on July 4th. 2 staff members..cook and waitress server. Only 3 tables had people, other 3 dirty so we sat at the counter. Waitress stated be right with you so we waited. Customer came in after a few minutes to counter...waitress went up to this customer to take the take out order while we sat there right next to them. She proceeds to take order and walks away from us.....we left. Went to IHOP, had great service and great food. To bad as we do enjoy Waffle House and normally good service..just not THIS time...so although we will never return to the South Lakeland location we will go to another location and if we experience issues we will just patronize IHOP in South Lakeland instead....oh well.

What can I say, it's a Waffle House! This location is great, good service, good food and very clean.

My favorite place for breakfast anytime of the day n night. Hashbrowns smothered all the way with chilli. Happy staff and pleasant.

What can I say this place does a great job at handling that 2am rush A+

It's always a great place to get a after night lunch with a 24-hour open service. Just be ready to wait a bit most of the time it's packed, but there's no need for a rush for nice warm and reasonable price food.

We like to make our late night Waffle House runs on Friday night. The food is always super fast and the waiter/waitresses are always top notch. We've never had a bad experience and personally, my hashbrowns are always scattered, smothered and covered to perfection. Major shout-out to the kid with the septum piercing. 🤟

Today is November 1723. In this waffle house in South Florida Avenue. There was just three young kids working one Cook one waitress and 1 helper beautiful team work very respectful. The food was great for being such a young man. He didn't awesome job and we was really, really busy. I give them a thumbs up they did great...

Everything was excellent It's the best Waffle House we've been in and will definitely go backing again😃

This location is way understaffed. This is a shame because this is a nice large clean waffle house.

Seriously the cleanest, friendliest and yummiest waffle house we have ever been to in the USA. If your are a waffle house lover, you know I don't say that lightly. But really highly recommend this one.

The service was great. A very clean atmosphere. I was very satisfied with my meal.

Our waitress was Gina , had no problems with her expect for forgetting parts of our order (that's only because she wasn't the one who took the order and that was fine) .. everything about our visit today 09-03-23 Sunday ... The only thing that really bothered me was that another waitress (older lady , skinny and tall .. she's been there a long time .. I dont remember her name) .. but she stood right next to our table , grabbed some napkins right next to us and blowed her nose and then grabbed the waffle plate and brought it out to the table across from us ...... then about 10 mins later , she did the same .. grabbed the napkins next to us and blowed her nose again and proceed to bring customers their food .. she never one washed her hands after blowing her nose .. the whole entire time my family and I was sitting there waiting on our food , we was praying that she WILL not help our waitress and bring us our food , because I would have rejected it ... I hope HR or whoever is managing their reviews on Google , bring it to their attention .. it's just nasty and disgusting .. we've been coming to this location now for over 7 years ..

It’s Waffle House. This is one of the nicer, bigger ones. And not located near a highway. Kind of wild. Service is hit or miss

Love this specific Waffle House because while sometimes they can get a little behind with orders, I have had two different waitresses so far & they were beyond kind and accommodating which makes a world of a difference so thank you!

My friends and I went here the other day and oh my gosh. From working in a restaurant myself and showing genuine kindness to each customer that walks in and that being returned to me at this location was amazing. Our servers name was Laura. She did amazing…checked up on us a perfect amount of times, made sure we were comfortable, and even wiped the syrup bottle because she noticed it was sticky. She went the extra mile and continuously had a smile on her face whether it had been to us or her co-workers. I would fully advise you ask for Laura when eating here and treat her with the up most respect because she fully deserves it. She made my friends and my experience beyond what we were expecting. Thank you, Miss Laura.
