Blackened redfish sandwich tasted just like fish camp! The waitresses were all awesome.

We did not eat dinner here, but rather a late lunch and also outside at the tiki car which shares the same non-dinner menu. We ordered the smash burgers for a late lunch. The burgers were delicious! Not really "smashed" but had two patties and all the toppings on a brioche bun. It was so tall, it was impossible to pick up and bite the whole thing. That's okay, though! The fries were super delicious and crispy. The tea tasted a little strange, but that wasn't enough to knock off a star. Days we ate at the tiki bar, we ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were hot and had a nice seasoning without being overly breaded. I didn't get any photos of the chicken, unfortunately. The staff were super friendly and fun to chat with both inside and outside. We saw other people's meals and thought it all looked great. Definitely a bit upper scale but not too much to have ridiculous prices. Prices were on point for a resort.

Dinner was delicious. The chef also prepared our scallops blackened style.

Burger, fish, and fried green tomatoes were so yummy. Banana crème brûlée is delicious. The speed of getting your food is sorely lacking. It took 30+ minutes our first night to even get our appetizer. Next day, only one in the restaurant, took 40 minutes to get our order of kids meal fish and fish tacos. We were thankfully refunded the cost of our order.

My sister and I had a great lunch here. The sandwiches tasted very fresh, and the fries were crispy. We had great service from Michelle, and a lovely view of the water. It wasn't very busy, this is a little hidden gem, and an excellent price for a good quality lunch

Great atmosphere by the water and they put tables together to accommodate 8 of us. That's all the positives. The restaurant was slow so we expected fast service, shame in us. We were 1 of 4 parties in the restaurant and there were 4 waitresses. Our waitress was very absent and took our drink order, taking another 15 to bring them. It took 10 more minutes to order food and another 30 minutes to get the food to us...and most was warm, if that. The salad was warmer than the mac n cheese. Nobody got their water filled either. I would hate to eat there if they were busy....Over 2 hours for dinner....ouch.

We stopped by the Plantation Hotel and wanted to get supper. We were early and so the dinning wasn't open. We took the opportunity to explore the hotel. Once we were seated, we had a great time looking out beyond the outdoor dining and the pool to the intercoastal waters. Our food was excellent and our service was good. We were a little disappointed that there was no bread or something before the meal came out. We ordered a side of hush puppies but by that time they came out with the meal and were under cooked. However, the rest of the meal was delicious. It was pricy but worth it.

It was a nice evening. They gave their best in service, and the meals had a nice size and were really good. Little bit pricy. And they have so many specials that I don't rember the first after they where ready with the last one. But overall very good.

Always a good meal in a great place

We are actually staying at the plantation resort so this restaurant is located inside the resort. We are a family of 5 and were told they didn’t have seating for 5 people….okay no big deal we will sit outside. Then we sat outside for 20 min with no one greeting us. We got up and left. So if you have more than 5 in your party don’t go here. Also if you expect to be greeted within 5 min this isn’t the place for you.

This was a very disappointing place to eat. Nothing we ordered had any flavor. For example the Salmon dinner was $29 so you’d expect some flavor? But it was completely tasteless. No seasoning. No marinade or sauce. It was served over a bed of rice that also was without taste. Wife had fish and chips. Same issue. The fish was completely tasteless. The fries were good. Service was lacking as well. Drinks nor our water was ever refilled. Server was a nice enough kid, but he did not check in with us or bother to ask if we enjoyed the meals, despite both of us leaving most of our plates with over half the meal remaining. I would not recommend this place.

Very polite people. They cooked our catch from our fishing tour that day. It was well prepared. Place is very clean.

We ate in the bar because the dining room doesn't open until 5pm. Food was ok. I won't rush back.

We had to ask for water multiple times as no one ever offered to give us any after we initially ordered wine, mixed drinks and water. After our food arrived and we were finished, we had to find someone and ask for a dessert menu since we were there to celebrate a birthday (we told them in advance and when we arrived). We were told the kitchen was closed in a very unfriendly manner. After everyone was done eating, we waited over an hour and no one brought our check. We had to go up to the bar and specifically ask for it and then had to wait again at the bar. No one EVER came back to our table. Still tipped but shouldn't have. Food was fine but (lack of) service made the experience really bad.

We took family to their Thanksgiving Buffet and were very dissapointed. Nearly all of the selections were cold. For a buffet, the selection was average. The only thing worthy of positive comment was the shrimp. For the price it was quite the let down. Lesson learned. Not again.

Went to the West 82 Restaurant at “Planation on Crystal River” for lunch. We were seated promptly. However, we learned later that the kitchen was short-staffed. We also noticed the servers were taking care of the outdoor bar patrons also. We placed our lunch order at the same time we ordered our beverages. It took quite a while before our lunch orders came out. I had the Chicken & Cheese & Peppers Quesadilla which was very good, would have liked a bigger portion. The French fries were good. The other person had the Grouper Sandwich which was OK, could have been hotter & it came with French fries. Overall our experience rated 2.5 stars. Our server Barbara was pleasant.

The atmosphere, service and food quality is wonderful. They used to have a Sunday brunch which was a buffet however they have just stopped that, so was disappointed. There new menu did not include any gluten-free or diabetic choices.

Always great. They never miss a beat. We always get the seafood platter, blackened Arguably the best Caesar salad, and a killer Key Lime Pie. Marissa waited on us last time up there. She's fantastic and attentive.

They cooked our scallop catch. The first day was smoother than the 3rd day. Reservations were made in Resy and we were sat on time. They wait staff was good and polite. The hog fish special was impressive. The salads were all good. Drinks were good. Lemon drop and basil grapefruit martini.

The service was very slow. We ate breakfast here twice... the pancakes were so dry and flavorless. The eggs Benedict was tasteless. The bacon looked like it was microwaved. For the price of each meal, don't bother. McDonald's has a better breakfast. It was clean.

They were out of the 2 appetizers we wanted… the food was terrible… the server was great and the plantation was beautiful. Not worth the $ at all!!!

Went here for a special occasion and really regret it… drinks took forever, gator bites were chewy, our food took an hour to come out. Ordered side salads and received them the same time as our dinner and they were warm. Dinner was extremely overpriced for what you receive and the atmosphere doesn’t match the price point.

We just had appetizers and they were appetizers. The gentleman playing was awesome we had such a fun evening.

It was a Mother's Day buffet. Wish they had unlimited mimosa, but the special was $5. 00. Sound echo loudly in the closed in porch where we sat and that was annoying. Food was average.

This place was awesome. We came for Sunday brunch and it was excellent. The buffet was full of fresh food that tasted great. It was extremely reasonably priced and the atmosphere is fantastic. I will definitely be back.

They need to put more effort into the quality and variety of the food on the breakfast buffet.

This was a horrible decision to eat here. We had a very limited menu and the food is extremely over priced. You do not have a choice of sides, your sides are whatever the cook decides for that day. I ordered a seafood pasta that had shrimp in it, well the shrimp in the pasta still had the tails on so I had to dig through the pasta to de-tail them. Everything was very VERY bland. No kid options at all. Will NEVER recommend or go back.

There was entertainment tonight. The guitar & Sax was very good.

Lunch was good, grouper sandwich and a pound of peel and eat shrimp. Our server Tyler was great! ***Sadly our dinner was AWFUL! The gator bites were so chewy and soaked in grease. Never had bad gator bites before. The Kings Seafood platter was also dripping in grease I mean grease all over the plate. We tried the crab cakes ugghh not too greasy, however they were loaded with salt!!!! Like a shaker of salt, just not edible! The scalloped potatoes were good. But it was a $36.00 entree. The prices at this restaurant are that of a Classy more elegant restaurant and it's anything but. Our server Marissa was extremely helpful at handling all the issues. If not for ther two servers I would of given one star. I cannot recommend this restaurant or the Hotel.

This place surprised me....unexpected wonderful experience and compliments to the chef.

Easter 2023.. Oh my! We had the Easter buffet and it was out of this world delicious. Barbara waited on us and she was like a beacon light in the fog of people. She waited on us with a beautiful smile and wonderful personality and never missed a beat. Robert would take out empty dishes promptly and kept everything moving swiftly. This is a wonderful place to have an Easter buffet. They had everything you want including a drink for a set price. The manager's name was Nathan and he took her reservation a couple of months ago. He was pleasant. The whole experience was everything that we could possibly hope for. Thank you very much.

West 82 states they serve “fine American and seafood”. When looking at their limited menu, we were initially impressed. However, after entering the restaurant on a Friday night during what would be dinner rush we find a nearly empty dining room. Our waitress was very friendly. Staff was very kind. However upon ordering, our mwere quite the opposite. The filet that I ordered was clearly put under an iron on the flat top and was mostly over cooked. The quality of the steak itself was poor, apparent by the fact that the meat seemed to have been frozen prior, and was an unappealing grey color along the periphery of the cold red center. It tasted very bland, like there was no seasoning, not even on any of the surfaces that it touched. The mashed potatoes, which hadn’t been specified as garlic, were passable. But who can really mess up a potato? The broccolini was lukewarm and unpleasant. Very unfortunate experience considering that they charge fine dining prices for food that is not up to par.

Breakfast buffet was over cooked eggs limp bacon,all breads and pastry had been frozen and most were still cold. Way over priced.

The restaurant at Plantation on Crystal River. Good food, service and people. Superb location. Old Florida decor and vibe.

We usually like this place, but we just found out they have a new chef/cook. We ordered a cup of soup, and the meat in it tasted like rubber. It was disgusting. If the meat was left out, it would have been okay. I just wonder if they’re cutting corners with the new kitchen staff. I used to love the Caribbean Cobb salad. It wasn’t ask good as it used to be, it was just okay. Again, I think they’re cutting corners with the chicken. The jerk chicken used to come out as a warm, sliced breast on top of the salad on a big square plate. Now it comes in a crowded bowl with chicken chunks with no flavor, and the chicken tasted like it came out of a bag. The martini’s were good, bar service was good.

Very historic hotel, beautiful setting with Kayaking and boat cruises and manatee cruises in the lake behind the hotel.

Stayed at the hotel and ordered 2 desserts one night. Both were cake slices and both were not fresh and almost $20. Next morning decided to give a second chance and tried the breakfast buffet. Probably one of the worst we've ever had.

Do not eat here. I gave the Christmas day buffet a second chance considering the horrible buffet I had a few weeks back. I was told there would be turkey and something else, but there was no turkey. Not anything holiday period. The roast beef was the same tough, inedible meat they served the last time and there was nothing different about the buffet, except that they jacked the price up for the "special day". Director of food service, do you try the food? Do you even care? Your regular price is too much for the food you serve. I can get a better meal and service at Cracker Barrel.

This was a very disappointing dining experience. We do not recommend it. My wife and I had reservations for dinner here. There was no problem with being seated as we were one of three or four tables in the entire restaurant. I guess the locals knew to avoid the place? The restaurant positions itself as fine dining, yet very little about the experience offered substance for that claim. Our server was nice, but a bit slow. I suspect she was the only person waiting on diners, so that would explain the relative slowness. The appetizer was good, but the dinner rolls were cold. The entrees and sides were poor. My seafood platter had over-seasoned shrimp that was so salty, I could not finish them. On the other hand, the scallops had no seasoning at all. The scallops were a perfect match for the unflavored scalloped potatoes. My wife's filet was overcooked, but at least seasoned properly. After dinner tea choices lacked any kind of English black or Early Greys, but they had an ample supply of Lipton(!) tea. The dessert, a slice of cheesecake, took nearly 15 minutes to arrive at our table. With one drink each for the two of us, our bill totaled about $150 before tip or tax. Frankly, we could have had a better meal for half the cost by finding a Longhorn or other chain restaurant. Based on this experience, we skipped breakfast the next morning.

Waitress was nice, but everything went downhill from there. We were the only people in the dining room. Ordered their filet minion dinner (48.00) and after waiting over 45 minutes, it came out cold. The reason was they had to cook for their tiki bar outside as well… only hand full of people at tiki bar. They took it back to reheat and brought back to table. Requested creamy horseradish, and it was brought to the table and was liquid. They mixed horseradish with creamer… the manager said she could put more horseradish in it if I wanted. One might expect this at a fast food restaurant, but this is supposed to be a top restaurant. The level of incompetence was amazing. We got up and left. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!

It was not bad, but it was not great. The food was cooked well enough, but it lacked the balance of a $50 dish. In all honesty, the appetizer was my favorite part.

We stayed at the Plantation two nights, enjoyed dinner and breakfast at West 82. Breakfast is an all you can eat buffet, great selection of everything from cereal and yoghurt to eggs, sausage, bacon, and sausage gravy biscuits. Very tasty. Dinner was steak for me and a seafood platter for my wife. Well prepared, very good. Breakfast was $15.99 each, dinner with drinks was $120 before tip. Beautiful dining room and super friendly staff.

Service was fast and friendly. The patio has a decent view and is also very close to the tiki bar. Food was excellent!

My wife had the New Strip and I had the Filet Mignon. Both were cooked to perfection! We also had the breakfast buffet during our stay. It was also great.

We are staying at the hotel for our wedding anniversary. Went to dinner here & both got the seafood platter special for Saturday. I got mine blackened, my husband got fried. Everything was delicious except the lobster was rubbery, like it was cooked yesterday. Server happily got us new ones but took 30 minutes to get them. The new ones weren't as bad but still not worth a 30 minute wait. Great service.

I had the blackened salmon BLT. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the bacon crispy, lettuce fresh romaine and the tomato tasted vine ripened. I forgot to take a picture. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 as the bread was kind of crumbly and so it was a couple days old maybe. But I don't really eat the bread anyway. 👍

The plantation brunch is the best in crystal river. Looks like the hotel needs a TLC but the restaurant is clean with great brunch food.

Small wine pour, no bread or water offered, that was our servers fault she just seemed inexperienced. Shrimp & Grits good, hubby need tarter sauce almost ate entire meal before it arrived- loud atmosphere

We had the fettuccine Alfredo and the Plantation seafood platter- both outstanding, even the veggies. We topped it off with the Key Lime pie, and it was good, but definitely not the best. Our waitress, Reilly was friendly, but disappeared for long periods of time. All-in-all, good food and good experience. Will definitely return.

Food selection was small, they was nothing great about the food, it was just average. The service was good and the staff was very friendly.

I made a reservation on Mothers Day. This was not a Mothers Day dinner it was a birthday celebration as I had missed my birthday dinner due to my daughter having an emergency c-section and my grand baby being in the NICU. The website stated that there was a Mothers Day Brunch up until 5pm. You weren’t able to make the reservation for brunch but there was availability at 5pm onwards for dinner. So I made a 6pm reservation. Upon arriving I was told they don’t have our reservation but no matter - they had a table that they could get us onto shortly. I said fine - sounds great. Upon being sat at our table we were told to help ourselves to the buffet. I told the waitress that I didn’t want the buffet, we wanted steak and appetizers etc. she said sorry that they were only serving buffet. We left very disappointed after I have been running around back and forth to the hospital for the past 3 days and just wanted a nice meal and to be waited on. The website was very deceiving and the fact that even though I have an email reservation, they didn’t have my reservation should have made me leave immediately, instead I wasted 30 minutes at bar and table before getting g up and leaving. The waitress didn’t offer any opportunity to speak to a member of management. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food was ok, Buffalo chicken dip was above average. Service was really slow but probably short staffed. We'll give it another shot sometime.

My husband and I went to a seminar there. Our food was excellent. We both had the chicken Caesar salad. Took awhile for all the food, but there were 25 people being served Now that we know where it is, we will be back. The servers were very friendly and came around a few times to refill the drinks ..we had sweet tea .

Brunch is five star, smoked salmon, several salads, entrees, sides and deserts carving and omelet stations

Not busy so we were surprised to wait to be seated, even with a reservation. Main waitress was great. Several servers were all kind but made it feel inconsistent and jumbled. High end choices, but high end outcome did not impress. We brought our own catch, hoping to leave with a new favorite way to prepare at home. Portions of the fish were raw and, quite honestly, another restaurant proved that they do not understand that blackening is not just a seasoning. The NY strip was flavorful and the filet was very tender. I think we are picky, but we should be, especially when the bill arrives.

Our favorite place for breakfast and the Caribbean Cobb salad is a must for lunch.

I absolutely love West 82 bar and grill they have a great tiki bar out by the pool and very nice fine dining inside it is located inside of the plantation inn resort they also have another bar inside where you can eat if you don't want to sit in the restaurant I went for lunch and actually have the shrimp basket it was wonderful the atmosphere is very relaxing and on Sundays from I think 11:30 to 2:00 they have a brunch which offers a lot of options I highly recommend you stop in if you're in the area.

Great food and great service. We went for Sunday Brunch and morning breakfasts. The ladies that work at the restaurant work very hard and they are very friendly. The food was delicious and of good quality- they had a great selection of food for Sunday brunch. The bar also had great food and drinks but they were a bit slower. I also wish you could order from the bar menu in the restaurant.

I have never been treated as rudely in a restaurant as I was by the bartender at this establishment tonight. I know that a lot of restaurants are understaffed right now and as a former waitress and bartender I have empathy and can overlook a lot when it comes to service- but I will not tolerate rude and nasty. Some people do not belong in the service industry. We won’t be back!

Slow service...food was just ok. Didn't have ingredients for specialty drink that was advertised. Sister Schubert's rolls were good.

Thanksgiving dinner was excellent !! Love the prime rib 😀 We had a wonderful server who was so sweet. We will go back again!!
