Best sushi in the area!!! I prefer it over most places in the heart of the city too. The owners and chefs are the nicest people EVER!! The spicy crunchy tuna roll is to die for! Spicy salmon tartare appetizer is absolutely delicious too. My kids love the vegetable gyoza ❤️ Lunch special is a great deal!

We had a very nice dinner. My friend had been here before but it was my first time. We ordered a few things to share and started with a ginger salad. It's not a big place but it was perfect for a date and not too loud so conversation was easy. I'd definitely stop here again even by myself for a meal. For dessert we shared green tea mochi and strawberry. I definitely enjoyed the strawberry :) stop by , you won't be disappointed !

The sushi here is phenomenal...I love this place. Friendliest people you'll ever meet, and the sushi is top notch. And they recently refreshed the interior.

Looks can definitely be deceiving and that is definitely the case with the exterior of WooJung. This sushi restaurant is in an old shopping plaza with limited parking however when you walk in you feel like you’re being transported to Japan. I arrived for a late night weekday dinner on a rainy evening and there was only one other party seated at a table. My friend and I were immediately greeted handed menus and offered cold water. It is a fairly large space with many tables and beautiful art on the walls. The food was very fresh and beautifully presented. I had the shrimp tempura appetizer $11.95 that was perfectly fried and served with a few tempura vegetables. It was a difficulty decision selecting a roll, everything sounded so good and pretty interesting. With assistance from our waitress I decided to order a jalapeno business roll $19 (love the name!). It was very filling and contained very fresh fish. I wanted to order a Japanese beer but learned the restaurant is BYOB.  There is a bar next door selling beer and spirits but I decided to just enjoy my meal with water. If I’m in the area again, I would definitely return.

The sushi was delicious- fresh! I loved the Hodge podged roll I got! The staff is friendly and accommodating. The decor was authentic, chic, modern clean. The tables and chairs are nice wood. I loved his sushi restaurant!

Woojung is my new favorite spot for sushi. The interior is beautiful and I love all the artwork. Servers are always friendly and welcoming. The kiss of fire is very delicious and I always order it. I will be coming back again and again!

Elegant, comfortable, good for family meal or date night. My sushi was great. The shumai and tempura udon likewise delicious.

Food quality and value was good. Restaurant had a high end feel. Only minor negative was when we arrived 90% of the restaurant was empty and we were told to sit at the sushi bar because they were expecting a wave of reservations. However by the time we finished our meal the restaurant was 80% empty so we definitely could have sat at a table. The menu has a lot of good options so we will definitely return.

I am in the mood for sushi tonight. We first went to Bluefin but they were “reservations only”, so we came here, Woojung Sushi. My first impression of Woojung is pretty decent. It’s a small restaurant but the vibe is cozy and intimate; interior design is tasteful. Although the restaurant was mostly empty, we could only sit at the sushi bar. The hostess said all tables have been reserved, but when we left, half of the tables were still empty, which bothers me a bit. I had the “crowd favorite”—Kiss of Fire. It’s fun to watch them light a small fire on the tin wrap. I also ordered the simple $5 avocado roll, as I’m afraid that the kiss of fire alone may not be fulfilling. My husband had chicken and shrimp teriyaki—it comes with either salad or soup. The presentation of his dish is really good; I tried it and like the flavor too. Overall, I’m quite happy about the dining experience and would definitely come back again soon!

Woojung is our go-to sushi spot, a cozy family-owned gem where every visit feels like a warm hug. Living nearby, my husband and I make it a weekly ritual to treat ourselves to their incredible offerings. I have yet to try something on their menu that is not delectably, mouthwatering. From the wasabi shumai to the delicious tuna tartare with a side of fluffy white rice, every bite is a taste of perfection. The spicy noodle soup, miso soup and California roll are my go-to comfort foods. The Ikaika (fried calamari) is a crispy, addictive delight. My favorite signature roll is the "Kiss of Death"-- a must try! Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or seeking a cozy spot with great vibes, Woojung deserves five stars without a doubt! P.S.: its BYOB + service is quick, if timing is ever of concern. They have a great lunch combo deal as well!

We ordered the sashimi platter and 2 rolls. Chose this place on a whim and we really enjoyed ourselves and were surprised with how delicious the food was. Will come back again!

I've been eating sushi for 35 years now, I started way before the popularity has exploded like in recent times. Back then there were far less choices, and if you wanted good sushi the choices were even less still. Today though, good sushi is a lot easier to find. But GREAT sushi is still elusive. Especially a spot that combines all the critical elements necessary to make sushi great. What are some of those elements? Well, of course freshness. Portion size. Diverse offerings. Innovation & creativity. Pleasant and knowledgeable waitstaff. Cleanliness. Fair pricing. WooJung and their amazing staff delivers on all of these elements and then some. The food is amazing, absolutely one of the top Sushi restaurants in the area.

Ordered takeout. Delicious, fresh food; generous portions; beautifully packaged up; ready when we walked in the door. Eaten there in person as well: calming atmosphere, and an excellent meal.

Staying in the area for my son’s soccer event. Googled and found this place close yo the hotel. Reasonable prices for lunch specials. Picture was taken after finishing 3 California rolls and 1 gyoza. And the picture from the men’s restroom for fun.

It's the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. The food is excellent, and the service is kind.

Service very good, but sushi was just ok. We were hoping for more fresher sushi without it being adulterated by spicy mayo. The spicy rolls were decent but adding spicy mayo to something is like adding cheese to something, you dont let the base food shine. Ambiance was nice as well.

We love this place! Dining in or take out, it is delicious. If you stay to eat the staff is very nice and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

Went here yesterday with some friends. Got the Spicy Cali roll with eel on top, and the spicy vermicelli soup. Finished it off with some mochi green tea ice cream. I was not expecting this place to be so good! i am so happy i found a little local hidden gem!

Woojung is so good. We used to get sushi somewhere else in Plymouth Meeting and a friend recommended we try Woojung. They have so many different creative speciality rolls that are so delicious. It is fun to go and try different rolls.

My first impression was like a old japanese restaurant with a long experience. All the food is neat and delicious. I'm sure it's the only place in america when you can eat the best japanese food.

Decent sushi - quality rolls but both rolls were advertised as spicy and had no kick to them. Don’t bother with the udon noodles. Got the seafood udon and three small pieces of seafood for $17.

My fiancé and I love eating here for date night. We are always greeted by the friendly staff and feel well taken care of. The sushi tastes so clean and everything on the menu is excellent. It feels like a home away from home.

Beautiful spot with delicious fresh fish! Definitely a hidden gem. Looks very plain from the outside as it's in a small shopping strip. The inside of the resturant is very neat and welcoming. The food is great. Ordered a shrimp tempura appetizer, yellowtail scallion roll, unagi roll, and tuna avocado roll along with sashimi dinner. The sashimi is very fresh.

This is THE best sushi in the Philadelphia suburbs. We eat here at least once a month. Woojung understands the beauty in simplicity with their sushi, and quality of the fish they use is absolutely outstanding. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more skilled in creating some of the best rolls in the area. Highly recommend - 5/5 stars all the way.

This place delivered excellent sushi. It was very clean and inviting which surprised me because if it's location in a strip mall. I am so glad we went in. We enjoyed sashimi and two rolls and some gyoza (best in the area) and the chef's special appetizer. The service was excellent and it is BYOB. We will definitely be back.

Very amazing place! I ordered the Spider roll, first time trying it; Absolutely amazing! The spicy tuna roll was exquisite! Everything you would want your tastebuds to feel! The mochi was very sweet but at the same time not too sweet… the perfect blend! The service was absolutely amazing, no complaints here and 10/10 recommend!!!

Visited this restaurant a couple of times, big fan of sashimi but hate when its old, here it is nice and fresh so definitely recommended. Only had one of rolls sets but will be back to try some more when i can. Lovely people running his place. Big thumbs up.

Soooooo good! I got a miso soup and jalapeño business roll, and shared the white tiger roll with a friend. I also pinched one of the gyoza dumplings from another friend. We ended dinner with the green tea fried icecream (enough to share between two) 😋 I'm so happy, and will def be going back!! Everything was so flavorful and fresh, and came out quickly. It's a BYOB (without corkage fee, I believe) so will definitely be bringing wine next time.

We ordered many special rolls ( fire kiss, king kong ,..) and yellow tail scallion roll.. all were so good that we order another round of fire kiss role + yellow tail scallion Food were very fresh and service was fantastic.

GROSS! I ordered Chicken teriyaki with shrimp, steamed rice and veggies. There is no teriyaki sauce, just aggressive black pepper. If I could give this 0 stars I would.

Friendly staff. Nice interior. Came with a party of 4 guys because of all the high ratings on Google and Yelp. 3 of us got chicken teriyaki and one got some sushi dish. All 4 of us felt the serving sizes compared to the price was very poor. So poor in fact that all 4 of us after leaving there went to chicfila and got more food. The 3 of us who got chicken teriyaki all rated the food around a 5 or 6 for quality, so nothing to write home about. The friend who got the sushi rated it an 8. Also to add a small salad it was 3 bucks and to sub brown rice for white rice it was also 3 bucks. In the end I paid 35 dollars for a mediocre and small portion chicken teriyaki.

Eat here immediately! The food is outstanding and unique and the folks working there are always pleasant whether you’re eating in or taking out. I would eat here everyday if I could!! The kiss of fire roll is the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. I am moving about 30 min away and absolutely crushed I won’t be able to eat here as often. Thank you Woojung Sushi!!! I will be back as often as I can :)

Good food and service overall. Would have given 5 stars but the server who greeted me as I walked in immediately assumed I was a delivery guy. He should have asked if I was to dine in or take out after warm welcome. Great service starts when the customer(s) enter your door. It would be wise to remember that.

This family run business is the best place for sushi. Everywhere else I go doesn’t compare. I have taken several friends and they feel the same way! The menu is fresh and so unique that it always leaves you wanting more. My favorite rolls are the volcano and jalapeño business roll! Can’t recommend enough.

My fiancé and I live in Conshy and there are no good sushi places near us. We are kind of sushi snobs lol We tried woojung tonight and it was amazing. Fresh fish and worth the drive for us. We will be back. So good!!

One of the best places to get sushi period. Employees are some of the nicest people ever and they’re always on point. The kiss of death is one of the tastiest entrees and it can be spicy or super spicy depending on how you like it. I highly recommend going if your a sushi lover. Good prices amazing employees... a must go!
