Love the Marilyn Monroe Roll and the Phila delphine Roll!!! The Sushi is always safe fresh!!!

I love Yummy Sushi! It’s not about getting ambiance, it’s about really good sushi that you can grab and go, in your pajamas, with a car full of kids, because you can’t get dressed to go sit down at your favorite sushi spot in the city. Instead you get to take it home, put the kids down for a nap, fill your Yeti with a dirty martini extra olives, and nosh on just about the same quality of sushi you get from that other place and binge your favorite show. I kind of think they’ve got life figured out

This place is AMAZING!! My favorite is the Red River Roll!! Shout out to Austin the carhop consultant! He provides excellent customer service!! Love Yummy Sushi so much!

My all time favorite restaurant and the service is always fantastic! There's two guys I see every single time literally running between orders and working their butts off. Only thing is I wish they were open on Saturday!

I do not eat sushi, but my daughter dies and she's always happy when we swing by here. The guys working here always ate pleasant and the food looks good. I have worked in this kitchen in the past, and at that time he was pretty meticulous about his kitchen.

Delicious food, pleasant people, great prices. More than Sushi for those , " I don't like seaweed " folks, ;-) . But, for real, we really love going here when we're in Minden.

Good place to eat if you are a sushi lover. Some people get turned off from it being a drive-thru, but don’t let that stop you. The food is delicious. Hibachi is probably my favorite though. Definitely recommend trying this little gem.

One of our favorite local restaurants! The staff is incredible, and the food is always on point. We just wish they'd add fried wontons/crab rangoons with a sweet & sour dipping sauce to the menu.

Was always a great place to stop and have a bite , unfortunately I had a terrible experience with a carhop guy. The guy added extra items on my order and when it was brought out I said I only had ordered two items, he then tried to make me pay for the additional items that I didn’t order and thru racial slurs (Like this only happens with y’all kind) and then threatened to call the police all because of his mistake, I didn’t know this place was operating with such madness and racism on there staff. It’s not for our kind obviously, (Look out for this guy) Other than that food is good

Food was much better than I expected when I seen it was an old sonic nothing nice to look at but food was very good and so was the service I think it's comparable to better restaunts as far as taste and quality price wasn't bad not at all serving size was pretty good and no imitation seafood presentation wasn't the best but what do you expect at an old sonic but coming back for

For drive-in sushi you would be hard pressed to beat it.

Food and service are great! Food portions are generous. This place is not dine in. It's at an old Sonic location, so you can take it or eat in the car. There are tables for outside dining if you like.

The sushi is amazingly good! The Marilyn Monroe is THE BEST sushi i have ever had. Plus the service is superb 👌

This was our first time here today. We are from the DFW metroplex and have had many food places to choose from, including sushi. We’ve been told about Yummy Sushi from many people here though. I had reservations about sushi in Minden, Louisiana… but this place exceeded my expectations and was everything positive that I was told. The sushi is very good, and so is the Miso soup. Another thing we loved here was the customer service. I feel like I’m at Chic-fil-A with the customer service experience here! This is our new spot. I highly recommend Yummy Sushi!

When I tell you I would take our small-town sushi place over the big cities any day I am not exaggerating! We have the best service always smiling and the food is top-notch!

Yesterday was my first time actually trying this place out & im glad that i did cause i’ve fallen in love with sushi considering the fact i’m normally not a person who even eats sushi lol plus the customer service is great very friendly & helpful,DEFINITELY recommend!

We have been here several times over the years. The food is good. The server was friendly and helpful. The time waiting for the food is too long. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. It was good. Seems like it would be less expensive to get sushi here and eat in your car instead of dining at a sushi restaurant but that's not the case. So we will probably opt for a full service restaurant in the future.

"Its good for Minden" just resonates in my head. Don't get me wrong, the concept of getting sushi at a former sonic/bumpers is definitely unique on its own. You pull up in selected spots and await a staff member to approach you to place your order. Things are made fresh so do expect a wait. The poor server is literally running to keep up with everything. Lunch time gets busy so don't come in a hurry. As far as the food, its consistent. I have tried them several times over many years and for the most part the same rolls arrive just the same. My issue is this, its OK, not bad just OK. If you can get past the curb appeal, faded, wet menus with misspelled words and the different sushi experience, I would recommend it, however don't go expecting magic like its disney world.

I waited to try this takeout because I don't care for sushi, however, they have the BEST fried rice with veggies. •veggie fried rice is a mere $7.99 and you get enough for 2 people. •outstanding eggrolls and dipping sauce. •excellent and fast service, depending on the rush crowd. one of the best takeout in Minden

Shocked at how delicious their food is. 4 stars because it takes forever BUT i feel like I expect it to be fast because of the way the restaurant is set up and it's NOT a fast food place. It's fresh and delicious sushi and other offerings like fried rice and dumplings and seaweed salad. Everything we have gotten is goood.

This place looks awful and we didn't try it for over a year. One we finally decided to give it a try it was good. It seriously needs a make over though. We chose other places because of how bad it looks.

This was my first time trying this place! I've never been a fan of sushi, but my pallet crave something different than the typical homer rd choices. A friend of mine encouraged me to try the fried kind. I ordered the hurricane and egg roll!!! Omg😍😍😍 I am in love!! The sauces were delicious, everything was hot and fresh!! I am looking forward to my next visit 😊 andddddd the car side service was excellent. He was so kind, engaging, and helpful!!! I will definitely be returning!!!!

not very good in my opinion. I suppose most people form this area have never experienced what real sushi should taste like. Plus it's hard to trust seafood quality when you're located 200+ miles from the nearest ocean. About on par with Walmart Sushi.

We have gotten sushi here for years. Great food. Love the shrimp fried rice too. The veggies are cooked to perfection and meat has a nice sear on it. Customer service is always great. Love this place!

My family loves Yummy Sushi! We've had different kinds of sushi, fried rice, as well as other entrees and it has all been fantastic. This is our go to oriental food in Minden. The biggest problem with this place is you never know if you are going to catch them open. Don't pay attention to their hours because they don't. Call them first to make sure they are open.

This place may LOOK like it's a fast food joint but it isn't. It's a restaurant. So please don't expect your order to be up in 5 seconds. Everything is made fresh and delicious.

In town on business this week. We were a little surprised at the former Sonic set up. But, the food was great!

Always awesome! We’ve been coming here as we travel through a couple of times a year over the last three years. It has always been amazing food. We have had several sushi rolls, the udon noodles and fried rice, all are great!

Ordered 3 sushi rolls and the cucumber salad. The salad was really good however the sushi rolls looked like they had been made while rushing, the rice fell off as you picked it up to eat it and on top of that it was half cooked. Super disappointed as all the other reviews said the sushi was great. I would not eat here again.

Great sushi 🍣 at a reasonable price, in a place you may not expect. Don't let the drive-in style set up fool you. Highly recommend the Udon noodles too, perfectly pan fried!

Good place but closes too early

The workers close the shop whenever they want to. The store closes at 8:30 but whenever they don't feel like working they will not take your order. This has happened four different times now, and each time was around 3:00-5:00.

We didn't actually get any sushi, but the chicken fried rice and Udon noodles with steak were awesome. More like Hibachi than Chinese fried rice. I was really impressed with the price and quality of the food. Service was great too! We will definitely be going back.

Really tasty sushi and other dishes. I've tried quite a few of the rolls and each has been very flavorful, fresh, and enjoyable. Others in my family have gotten the fried rice and combimation rice dishes, which they enjoyed, but they didn't give rave reviews like they did for the sushi. The prices are not as low as mall/premade supermarket sushi, but it's also not mall sushi quality or taste. I typically spend $12 for a roll and avocado salad (see below). Everything appears to be made fresh and to order, but it's quick (about 10 mins). This place has never disappointed me. Just the concept of a drive in sushi place is very charming and fun--at least to me! Note that this is an old Sonic building so there is no indoor seating (unless you count your car). The avocado salad is seriously tasty but quite salty so be prepared--it's mixed greens with avocado slices on top, all seasoned with what I assume is hoisin and soy sauce, it's sweet, salty, and yummy. Update 12/12/19: I went back for the first time since it came under new ownership. The menu is the same and the sushi is still tasty. My roll was falling apart a bit but it was still delicious. The server was very fast and polite. We're so happy this business looks like it will continue to be great.

I enjoy sushi, it's not something I eat often. But this place done an excellent job with what I ordered. Service was at my window before I even pushed the button lol. Very friendly, answered my questioned. Took less than 10 mins to get my food. Now to what I ordered: the shreveport roll(fried shrimp,avocado, crabmeat, spicy tuna). This was a large portion, very tasty and the meats blended superbly. Sauce wasnt to much, complimented everything well. Also ordered shrimp fried rice with all the veggies. Very large portion compared to some places. It looked more like true made rice instead of some places that look box bought and served. Full shrimp, sliced mushroom, onions, broccoli. It was very very good. Rice was moist and very delightful. I'm giving a 5 star, but will say it's a bit pricey. 24.50 for 2 items, even though they were very large and very good, is a little bit on the high side but still an amazing and fast friendly place. Will be back!

It depends on the day you go? I've been twice. The first time was good enough to go a second time. The second time was bad enough im leery to try a third time. Wasn't fresh.

This place is always amazing! The sushi is on point and just as good as some of the best restaurants in SBC. The fried rice isn't my favorite but is still good as well. The egg rolls are a MUST buy! They are the BEST ones you'll ever have. 😋

Really good quick sushi spot in Minden. Place used to be an old sonic, there is someone that will meet you and take your order. From there it usually doesn't take long to get your order and head home. Nice friendly staff.
