i heard about this place from someone i know and it did not disappoint!! we were confused on the menu and our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with all of the dishes, even recommending us his favorites. we got lebanese tea which was rlly good. we then got kolumi and the santorini shrimp, both which were divine!! even the pita bread was delish. then we got the kataifi for dessert- so gooooood!!!

Hands down the best authentic Greek food I’ve ever had. Family owned and operated. The staff is so kind and helpful when you’re needing help on what to order/specifics. Zero complaints. A must try. My go to weekly! Superb.

Excellent staff, food and atmosphere. Order the tenderloin, Greek coffee, hummus, and the katafiti. The tenderloin was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The coffee had an intense, great flavor that goes well after eating your meal. The katafiti was well worth the visit, it was made to order-light flaky crust with a sweet custard, I highly recommend it.

The food is decent but fairly overpriced for what it is. They also charged us $4 for a small plate of veggie with the hummus without letting us know that was extra cost. Nothing special. Probably won’t be back.

Quality food and the best staff.

The best hidden gem of Baton Rouge. Zorba’s, y’all are family to me. Thank you for being such an amazing establishment. I could write a novel of all of the memories that I have been able to share with y’all over the years but I will simply say- BEST. NEIGHBORHOOD. EATERY. IN. BATON. ROUGE. Period.

My favorite Greek restaurant in Baton Rouge. Every dish that I’ve had is excellent and the bread that they bring out prior to your meal blows away the normal pita bread that you would receive at other Greek restaurants.

Great service, lively atmosphere. Some dishes are excellent, others mediocre at best. Some dishes are a great value, others overpriced for what you get. While the wait staff does an excellent job on busy nights your food might arrive cold. Can be fun and interesting but don't expect too much. All that considered makes it a little pricey as well.

Well we have been recommended this place many times… but we finally made it! Absolutely delish - fresh food, nice drinks and great service. The lamb was supple and hit all my cravings. Our waiter, James, was kind and helpful. Overall a great dining experience!

Edited to add- my second experience was interesting. The food was still stellar but unfortunately our waiter kept pushing my elderly parents to buy "beer for the kitchen". It was pretty uncomfortable after we said the food was great but we'll pass on the extra charge. He asked us three or four more times throughout our meal and we finally agreed to it because it was so awkward at that point. It definitely tarnished our experience and we haven't gone back since. What was supposed to be a special treat for our visiting family members turned out to be overshadowed by this and instead of talking about how good the food was, we were talking about how weird it was to essentially be guilted into the extra charge. It seems like if this is so important to the restaurant, maybe they should split the tips more evenly with the kitchen staff or perhaps management should buy the kitchen beer after a successful night. This is my new favorite spot in BR! I am Greek and hate trying Greek restaurants because I'm always disappointed that it doesn't compare to what I grew up with. Well, Zorba's is absolutely incredible!! We had the saganaki, dolmades, spanokopita, avgolemeno, fresh pita, chicken souvlaki and baklava. Everything was out of this would good! The service was stellar and everyone was so friendly and attentive! I can't wait to go back!

I eat out most days for lunch. Zorba’s is my number one favorite place to go. The food is outstanding and so is the service!!

My husband & I have always said we needed to try Zorba’s and we finally got to! We will definitely be back! Our food was fast, delicious and the service was extraordinary. Staff when out of their way to accommodate us with our little one. Perfect for a date night spot. Oh! Get the hummus - the pita is soooo good (and the hummus)!

Fantastic spanakopita! I had lunch and opted for The Gardner with the spinach pie, it was a great plate. I really enjoyed all of it, and would certainly order the same again.

They set the bar, never disappointed.

It was extremely loud, you couldn’t hear the person talk next to you. We went for dinner, 7pm so not even late, and the server took over an hour to finally ask for our order(because someone at our table had to stop her from walking by) and then they were out of Roasted lamb, the main reason we came, and then once she took our order, she came out over 15 minutes later to tell us the salmon we ordered was also out. How do you run out of 2 major entries on a Saturday night?

I shy away from four star because of how loud it was in there. I was expecting a more low key relaxing dinner and it was almost like being inside Texas Roadhouse, minus the birthday call outs. Food was great! We tried many of the shareable with our group and then had the steak which was delicious. The negative though was they ran out of the lamb and another dish someone else ordered. That was very frustrating, I went for the lamb and couldn’t get it. Definitely need to manage their supply better on a Saturday night.

This was my first time dining at Zorba's. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Employees are friendly, not rushing you to order or leave when completing your meal. The food was fresh, cooked to perfection! I was expecting the prices to be high but they weren't. Definitely recommend and hope to return again soon.

Fresh and delicious Greek food!

The service was great. Our server was really knowledgeable about the menu and answered all my questions. Very casual but quaint and classy atmosphere. I may have just ordered the wrong stuff, but I wasn’t a big fan of the food. I ordered the Burnt Eggplant, hummus, Dolmades and Musaka. My boyfriend ordered the lamb and chicken souvlaki and those were really good. I may try it again and order different items.

I've eaten here twice and both times have been excellent. The food is fresh, Delicious and well presented. Service was a bit slow during lunch hour but other than that a great place to enjoy a good meal in a nice atmosphere.

This places has fabulous food. We enjoy so many items on the menu & typically order several of their shareables to start off. My favorites are grapeleaves, mousaka, spanakopita, & hummus. Their cocktails are very good & desserts are delicious. We often are too full for dessert, so we get one or two to-go. The servings are large enough to share. Staff are always helpful, courteous, responsive to needs/requests yet are not intrusive. We love this place.

I love the food here. The atmosphere is terrific. The owners are attentive. I would recommend Zorba's to anyone looking for a delicious meal. Still delicious.

My absolute favorite restaurant in BR, hands down. The food, all the way down to the dessert and coffee is amazing. The owners are super friendly and always make you feel welcomed and well taken care of, and the atmosphere is so pretty - I especially love the outdoor, covered patio area. Best spot in BR for food!

Fresh, well executed dishes, great service.

Nice venue and friendly service. The food could have been better. The hummus was very tasty and the warm fresh bread delicious. We ordered the Greco chicken the charcoals/ burn taste very strong. The soup was super peppery could not eat it. Overall it was ok but would not go out of my way to eat there again.

Zorba's is my favorite restaurant in the whole world. Not only is the food the best anyone in all of humanity has ever tasted but the management and staff are also incredibly kind, accommodating, and attentive. The atmosphere is fun yet intimate and is a great space for a date night or even a girls night out! Between my family members, we have tried a lot of the menu and have NEVER been disappointed . My favorite thing to order is the Zorba's Beet Salad with Chicken. It's so freaking good, you forget that you're eating a salad (for real these are the only salads youll ever catch me eating). My favorite time to order it is at night from the dinner menu because it comes with the traditional Cypriot pita. THIS PITA IS LIFE CHANGING. It's all puffy and doughy and freaking delicious. It makes the perfect utensil for all the top shelf EVOO and feta you're gonna not want to leave behind on your plate. After writing this review I now want to go get Zorba's for dinner. Unfortunately, it's Monday and they are closed. That's OK, I'll dream about it tonight and get some tomorrow.

My experience was phenomenal! I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It's so clean and refreshing. My food and drink were delicious. I plan to add this restaurant to my list of business lunch favorites.

We have been patrons of Zorba’s for years. The food and service has always been stellar. Tonight we celebrated the new year with a four course meal and wine pairing. Oh my! Beyond excellent… our server told us that there may be a coin in in the dessert. My dessert had a coin for luck . I am looking forward to a great 2023 and many more fabulous dinners with family and friends at Zorba’s.

Great space and Dino and the family run a great establishment and have been in business in BR for 30+ years.

This was my first experience at Zorbas. I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular. The Gyro was the best I've ever had. It is an awesome place to try if you like authentic Greek food or want to try something different!!!

Love this place , the food is always consistently good. The best hummus served with a puffy piping hot piece of pita. Grilled halloumi with garlic olive oil was yummy and a combination souvlaki for our entree was top notch. If you’ve not tried Zorba’s you should , one of the best restaurants in Baton Rouge.

This is the second time Zorba’s‘s has had their wine dinner on a Sunday starting at six it is absolutely amazing I loved everything about it the food the pairing of the wine the atmosphere. Cannot wait for the next one🍷🍷🍷

Excellent experience. Authentic Grerk, mediterranean food. Rack of lamb, potatoes with lemon, roasted, Greek salad, and a gluten free chocolate dessert with figs and cherries I think.

I ordered the gyro and combination souvlaki lunch specials and the portions were SO SMALL. MINISCULE! They gave us each a little more than a table spoon of rice. The loaded hummus was $11 and it was not worth that much for the amount they gave us. Don't get me wrong, all the meat was delicious but it was not worth the super high prices. I won't be returning.

First time coming to this restaurant. I don’t think I could say enough good things! The service, the atmosphere, the FOOD! We ordered a lot of different things on the menu and every single thing was amazing. Chicken souvlaki for my entree and I’ve never had chicken that good. Just melt in your mouth! The waiter was so nice and attentive and the restaurant is small and adorable. I loved every minute of it and everything about it. Will be returning soon!

By far and away the best Greek food I have ever had. This is my Wife's favorite place to have dinner in Baton Rouge. The restaurant is small so on the weekends I would highly recommend a reservation. I cannot say enough good things about the food, the Musaka and the pita bread are my favorites but we haven't eaten anything there we didn't like. The cocktails are all amazing, but the wine selection is even better. All the staff are friendly and attentive and Dino is an excellent host! Its a little pricey but well worth it.

First time dining there and it was delightful and delicious. Great Greek food fresh and expertly prepared. The Spanakopita was some of the best I've ever eaten. The Village Salmon had a great Mediterranean flavor. Will definitely try this Bisto again.

Clean, authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Chicken El Greco at dinner service, their beef and lamb burger at lunch with tzatziki and onions is the BEST!

I am disappointed. The food is always top tier at Zorbas and the ambiance is wonderful as well. However, this past time, the service just wasn’t up to standard. We were being pushed out of the restaurant after only an hour there (we did have a reservation) The server was taking food off the table without asking on plates we were still eating All HUGE RED FLAGS. Though the food was good, the impatience and desire to turn over the table soured the night for everyone. It is far too upscale of a restaurant to act this way.

WOW… the food here is amazing!! Every single thing we tried was absolutely cooked to perfection and the flavors were amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere for any gathering… great for kids too.

Absolutely phenomenal food and service

I love Zorba's, a family-owned bistro, so very much, for many reasons! First, the food is exceptional, down to the last detail - last night, we went with a group and got shareable plates of Saganaki, olives, gyro, potatoes, feta, lamb hummus, garlic hummus, olive oil, and homemade pita. The pita comes to the table hot and puffed up, and I could have sipped a cup of that olive oil. We had cocktails, my favorites are the Zorbatini and Dinos margarita. Then we ordered a bottle of red wine - they were out of the bottle we ordered, but one of the owners came over with two bottles of alternative similar wines and described them - we picked the Greek red blend, and it was outstanding! I shared the redfish with orzo, lemon, and capers...the fish was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was melt-in-your mouth. Our server was attentive, helpful, and did a great job. I also love the atmosphere at Zorba's. There is courtyard seating between the kitchen and the main dining room, as well as a small bar. If you don't know about this local gem, go eat their food, you will be so pleased!

My first time here was today I was extremely impressed , it was a very high end food with very reasonable prices . Very nice ambiance, all the staff was extremely nice . Food , drinks and deserts were to die for ❤️ I felt like I was on a very expensive restaurant because of the environment and the quality of the dishes and it was very inexpensive for what you get . Definitely will be back

The food was great. Cora was awesome. Super knowledgeable on the allergen information. My wife has a severe tomato allergy and moderate soy allergy. We will definitely return. Thanks to all.

Dinner was delicious last night!!! I was dining with them years ago when they were on Perkins and they are consistent original and delicious. A hidden gem now that they are on Essen. I recommend you revisit it. I had the special stripped bass with lump crabmeat which was to die for. Moussaka was Bon Apetit!!!

We were looking for something besides the same old, same old food choices. We Googled 'Food places near me' and Zorba's Greek Bistro came up. So... we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed!! The food was delicious, the staff friendly and the atmosphere quiet and quaint. We will definitely be back!

We were looking for something out of the norm but wanted something good. This place delivered in a big way. Greeted at the door as friends, had great service, and the food was amazing. The staff helped us with a selection of dishes since we we not familar with Greek food and the food as delicious. Will definitely go back.

There's no place in Baton Rouge that can hold a candle to or compete with Zorba's. If you want real, authentic Greek food, this is the place to go. Shared plates at dinner are wonderful. The Economedes family are doing Greece proud.

Zorba's Greek Bistro was incredibly delicious! The very best quality and great tasting food! The service was also excellent! Our server Reece and others who attended were watching and responding to our every need and desire. This was the second time we've eaten there in two weeks, both times the food and service are superb! The atmosphere was excellent as well, an absolute pleasure!

By far my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in BR. Service is fast and will make sure that you are comfortable and well taken care of. The menu is great. I have tried almost all of it, the mousaka and the shrimp santorini are a couple of favorites.

Great atmosphere and great food

It was my first visit and it exceeded all possible expectations! Service was very fast, food was delicious, and all for a moderate price! Dinner for two adults was about $45. I will definitely come again.

First visit Didn’t know you need reservations, however they allowed us in and I’m glad about it 😀The appetizer was calamari fried to perfection. The pita was OMG delish. I had the chicken dinner plate with orzo and my hubby had the combination plate. The food was so fresh and prepared so well. Very authentic Greek meals. Then we shared a very lite custard dessert with crumbled pistachios.😋 We also observed the customers appear to be regulars. Server was absolutely the sweetest young lady. Well they are definitely on out best Greek restaurant .

This is our favorite Greek restaurant anywhere. Get the beef tenderloin and roasted vegetables, mousaka, loaded hummus, and Greek salad and dine like a King!
