Do y’all have a new phone number ? We wanted to know if the restaurant accommodates 20 to 25 people. My family was talking about coming December 28th for Christmas get together

Feed your body but nourish your soul. We had oxtails, king ranch chicken, turnip greens, Mac and cheese, smothered pork chops and coconut tea. Everything was delicious especially the oxtails. The banana pudding we took home was probably the best I’ve had. Ricky was a great host. I definitely will be back.

I stopped by on my way through..the food was delicious and amazing portion size ..I had the cb and fries both were cooked to perfection..the ladies working the counter was so helpful and polite.

A hidden family gem. The daily special had a choice of smothered pork chops and chicken, cornbread stuffing, three veggies and a roll. The pork chops just melted in your mouth. The stuffing was the perfect level of moist. I am not usually a fan of cabbage but this was so good that I skipped the other veggies. The portions are more than generous and the price was very reasonable.

This place serves terrific down-home soul food cooking and their integrity can be tasted through their food and seasonings. I highly recommend this family restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food. They recently catered for a Ramadan Eid Celebration and the food was so good that the people were already planning the next celebration with them. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants some good cooking.

4J is at the TOP of our favorite places to eat in East Texas. I do my happy dance when I'm there. The owners are always pleasant and courteous. Food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious!!! Can't forget the coconut sweet tea! 😋

Wow is all I can say about this spectacular place! The food was great ~ good home cookin’! I had chicken spaghetti, beef tips & rice and hubby had the smothered pork chops. Everything was so good. Our sides were mac & cheese and green beans. So tasty! The employees were friendly & attentive too. We will driving back from Athens & referring everyone here.

Absolutely fantastic. My mother and I were passing through on a shopping trip, and pulled over here for some good food; we wound up with great food. The fried chicken was juicy, crispy, and well-seasoned, the taters were good, and the cabbage was phenomenal. (I didn't even know cabbage could taste this good!) I sampled my mother's catfish, hushpuppies, and French fries, and they were to die for. The blueberry pie for dessert was excellent, and the bit of banana pudding we took home for my grandmother was the best I've ever had. (I don't even normally like banana pudding!) Even the lemonade was mixed perfectly. If you're going through Palestine, you owe it to yourself to stop here. 10 out of 10.

Best fish ever!!!! Melts in your mouth. Good portions. Hush puppies were great! Fries too. All freshly cooked. My son got the fried chicken...wonderful!!! The cabbage was perfectly seasoned!!! He said the blueberry pie was perfect. Prices are fair. Owners were very nice!!! If you go to Palestine, it's a must-do!!! Wished we had a place in Corsicana like this. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Best home-cooked southern food I have had a in a long time. Very friend people. Walk in and feel like you are at your Grandma's kitchen table.

Drove 40 minutes from Kerens and it was definitely worth the drive. Hamburger was fresh, no frozen meat patty and fries were also fresh. Plenty of fast food places in area but the prices here were also better. They had a buffet and the fish and fried chicken is the reason were coming back.

Great people. Great food. My daughter absolutely loved the gumbo. (Friday's only.) That's very high praise. She doesn't like anyone's gumbo except mine. LOL The regular chicken wings were very yummy. Nothing wrong with the potato salad, but it was just not as good as mine. I think potato salad is like meatloaf, everyone likes it their way.

Outside of the Building Looked Good... The Inside of the Building was A Little Sad Looking.....But We Did NOT JUDGE BY THAT.. We Judge A J by the FOOD!!!!!! IT WAS SO SO DOGGONE GOOD.!!!!

I had the buffet chicken, they also had meatloaf at lunch. It was very good. Service was excellent. Plenty of parking. Clean, easy to get in and out. Price was reasonable. Check the hours, they are not open every day.

Cozy, cheerful environment. Great customer service. Food was excellent. We had burgers and fries, both being stellar and made to order. Probably best in the area. We would definitely recommend it to locals and visitors to the area. They had other food options such as shrimp chicken sausage gumbo which looked and smelled wonderful. The owner/chef and his wife were delightful and made us feel we have made new friends

Incredible! The burgers were huge, well-seasoned, and had perfectly crispy edges. Loaded with veggies and complemented by a generous side of fries. Several other home-cooking options to choose from, too. (I will try the pork chops next time we visit.) Everyone greets you when you walk in the door, staff and diners alike. Very family-oriented atmosphere. Well worth the hour-plus drive for us.

My family and I been here SEVERAL times and each time we aren’t disappointed. I usually get Mr. Ricky’s famous hamburgers, but this time I got the all you can eat fish, wings, and gumbo. It was really good and I was wobbling to my car. Good southern hospitality and family friendly. We will definitely be back. Oh I forgot to mention, the best coconut tea around….

We stopped on our way home from a conference. They had a buffet with several choices. Our group had a bit of each it. It was delicious and well worth the price!

The food is good, down home southern cooking. You get really good portions. The meals are quite satisfying. The banana pudding is amazing.

Stumbled upon this place while traveling. The good was absolutely incredible and the owner was so kind.

First time eating there and the peach wings and onion rings was delicious. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and he really liked it. The owners are very nice people. We will definitely go back; looking forward to trying other things on the menu. The banana pudding is the best my husband and I have ever had!

Stopped at this place on the way to Oklahoma after reading the reviews. The hamburger was delicious! Perfectly cooked and could tell the bun was fresh. The fries were hand cut and reminded me of the fries at Wing Stop… addictive. Also, the iced tea! Had a different flavor then your typical sweet tea which was unexpecting but in all the right ways. Had a hint of coconut flavor. Honestly wish this place was where I live as this would be my burger spot. The fried catfish smelled amazing that another couple said was pretty tasty.

First time going and a very enjoyable experience. Friendly people and some really good food and portions; you must try the pound cake it will melt in your mouth. Highly recommended.

The Best REAL HOME STYLE COOKING next to my Grandma's it was amazing food great service and prices and it's FRESH AND HOT it's well worth paying him a visit for a at home feeling at a restaurant I highly recommend 4 J'S and you get big portions so bring your appetite everything is fixed fresh no instant potatoes or of food just real fresh cooked meals great food highly recommend 4 J'S

Delicious soul food, They even have real Bacon 🥓🥓🥓 for their bacon burger, not that precook nasty bacon that fast food restaurants use, Real actual bacon people. 😌

OMG !!! THE best burger you will ever eat !!!! Homemade fries too !! This burger was cooked to perfection with grilled onions and all the fixings. You gotta go try one !!

The food was OK. We saw this restaurant on a pamphlet at our hotel. The food looked amazing ( buffet style); we were excited to try it. When we got there, it was absolutely nothing like the pictures. When googling the restaurant, we almost missed it because we were expecting a building and not a little run-down house. There was a small buffet of sorts; it just did not have much of anything on it. Absolutely nothing like the advertisement.

Great down home cooking!!! You won't leave hungry!!! Food is always delicious!!! Only issue I have is that I can't eat more!!! Go visit 4J's, you won't be disappointed!!!
