Whoever is on fryer is terrible. The cheese curds are always exploded and empty stuck together chunks of batter. How hard is it to shake the basket and take them out of the grease 30 seconds sooner to prevent this.. incompetence pure and simple. Everything made on grill station is delicious though.

A great mom and pop diner! The breakfast we had was phenomenal. My husband said was the best omelette he's ever had. And the breakfast potatoes were awesome!!

Been on the road for 2 weeks. Best breakfast I've had since leaving home. Ample parking. Everything arrived steamy hot and exactly as I ordered. Worth the detour to get a great meal.

This is my favorite place to eat breakfast. I always get the Papaw's Breakfast with fried fish, home fries, rye toast, cheese grits, and eggs over medium with an extra egg. The extra egg is to mix the yolk with Louisiana hot sauce as a sauce for the home fries. My biggest complaint is the cooks always fail to season the grits and eggs. That's a major sin in my book. Salt and pepper are cheap. Why deliberately sabotage your food by not seasoning it?!? The same can be said if cheese grits where thebcooks lazily just top the regular, unsalted grits with a few pinches of cheese. So, yeah, the kitchen needs better training. However, major seasoning sins ignored for the time-being, the fish is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The staff are friendly and attentive...if not over-worked. They need one extra server so that the wait time is reduced. It'd also help them turn tables faster...which would improve profits. I've tried lunch and dinner but I always go back to breakfast. This, I feel, is their wheelhouse.

I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time but always went elsewhere because I wanted to go on a Tuesday for meatloaf night. The girls made the choice for me and we went on spaghetti night. We started out with the fried pickle spears and the fried mushrooms. I prefer the pickle chips but the kids liked the spears. I was impressed when they brought out ranch cups for each of us instead of us sharing one. I had the mushroom swiss burger and fries. The burger came with mayo, lettuce and tomato. It was very good. My oldest got the soup, salad and veggie bar. It came with four bowls which I thought wasn't going to be enough, but for her was plenty. She got a bowl of tomato bisque, a salad, and used the other bowls for various stuff from the veggie bar. My youngest got the spaghetti special, for her two sides she got an order of fries and broccoli. She ate about half the spaghetti and took everything else home. She has since ate the leftovers. Price wasn't as bad as other places we have gone. We will definitely go there again. Sevice was good and kept my drink full.

Better breakfast that Cracker Barrel, but what you really need to go for are their scratch biscuits. Worth every penny!

We had breakfast and it was super yummy. Our waitress I didn't catch her name but was really friendly and very attentive. And if you have never been there for their all you can eat seafood on Friday and Saturday, you definitely should.

Well went in to eat .. cannot judge the food we didn't make it that far,,the waitress was extremely rude and not professional at all,,,ordered drinks and the lady threw the stars on the table as she was turning her back to us,,,so we left never to return!! Don't waste your time here folks

First time here. First impression is it’s one of those places that you might pass by. If you do, it’s your loss. Quaint atmosphere serving comfort food. Seated promptly. Told server our first time there and she (Isabell) explained the menu and how sides are served. I ordered fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were good. Nice light breading and good sized mushrooms. (Couldn’t eat them all and they reheated well in oven.). Main meal wife had chopped steak with gravy and two sides. I had liver/onions, gravy, two sides. Both meats were tender and spiced well. Our server was busy yet she was attentive to our needs without us asking. As we sat there (after lunch) customers kept flowing in. We are local and will be back.

I usually go in just for breakfast or lunch. bacon egg & cheese sandwich is wonderful! I get the lunch bar & have yet to get anything I did not enjoy eating. waitresses are wonderful and very attentive.

What has happened to Ace's? Very disappointed in the food. They raised the price on their seafood buffet to $26.99 and it got worse. The boiled shrimp was way over boiled, the shell was stuck to the shrimp so bad that you couldn't hardly peel it. The fish were old and smelly. The fried shrimp was just ok, nothing was fresh. My wife had the country fried steak and it tasted sour. After 4 years of eating there we are very disappointed and they have lost our business. Paying that much for a seafood buffet should not be that horrific. If you are going to raise prices the quality should come with it.

My wife and I decided to try Ace's tonight. Our waitress, Tyne, was awesome. I wish I could say the same for the food. The main issue was my Buffalo chicken sandwich. After two full bites, I realized it was raw. Tyne offered to replace it, but my appetite was gone. Only the dread of impending food poisoning remains. Tyne took the sandwich to the manager and then came back to inform me that my portion of the meal was comped. The manager, however, never bothered to come out. That's poor management. How can a manager leave their waitstaff to deal with this? We won't be back.

Great home cooking... Great veggies especially the fried zucchini and fried squash

We went about 7pm on a Fri night. Our adult kids & teenage grandkids came from IL for the night. Everyone had different meals. I had the seafood ayce. I will say the catfish & mullet & crab bites were pretty good. I was not too fond of the clam strips & I could have used some cocktail sauce for the shrimp. Everyone else's food was great. And we all enjoyed the casual atmosphere, & the best service. We've been there with just the 2 of us & also had really good food. We will be back.

Appreciate the fact they service breakfast all day long. My wife and I both enjoyed the 2 eggs and French Toast. Wait staff were all very pleasant.

Ace's is my go to for great home cooking. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. I had the liver and onions with brown gravy, fried okra, and mashed potatoes. The meal was delicious. Service is always impeccable.

My wife and I eat here several times per month. The food is fabulous and the staff are awesome!

Horrible. As soon as we walk in lady was on her cell phone having normal conversation with whomever she was on the phone with. Unfortunately I was set in this same ladies booth. We ordered an omelet and 2 eggs with breakfast potatoes. I sat for over 30 mins waiting on my food alone when people who came in and order AFTER I did and they got there food in a timely manner. I got up and walked out I will never step foot back in this place. Let's also talk about the ceiling in this place that I'm sure has a TON OF MOLD IN AS ITS FALLING AND HAS PAINT FALLING OFF FROM THE LACK OF CARE OF THIS PLACE.

March 2024 ...came back the Saturday of Spring Break and it must have been the weather. Not as busy as we were expecting. Great food again. Tried the BB's Breakfast (full order. Wow. Really nice serving size too), children's chicken bites (yum!), and there is an option for children's veggie plate. Yeah for us! Locals know Ace's. We arrived on a Saturday when they were transitioning from breakfast to lunch. They were busy, but being patient always works out when there is good food in your future. Not a huge place and the waiting area is small. And that's okay. It works for Ace's. The staff are friendly and attentive. If you're needing a refill the area is small enough to catch their attention easy enough, they're just making everyone's meal time the best. The meals coming out of the kitchen... goodness. So much delicious food. I could eat it all. We had a simple lunch of blackened catfish and sinle patty melt. Yum. Really... all the food was looking good. We'll be back for sure.

Been coming here giving good reviews for 2 years. I order the same thing every time. After the other day, I won't go any more. My order, steak rare instead of medium. No potatoes, then my food got cold waiting for them. I asked for a cup to take the remaining drink and it was wrong so I went back in to ask for it to be corrected and the male server, instead of listening to me said"What do you want?!" Very rudely. I said unsweetened Ice tea please. Then he rudely said what's in that?! I can't believe after ordering the same thing since 2022 and it's still wrong. That, I was ok with, as long as it's fixed but the rudeness I will not excuse. GLUTEN ALLERGY ALERT, DON'T GO IF YOU HAVE CELIAC DISEASE. I tell the server but yet still glutened.

This place is just not for people like us. We did not have a good food or service experience. Utterly disappointing considering the reviews.

Just the most fantastic little county restaurant to eat at. The fried catfish is excellent, and the staff is really friendly. They make it easy to order to go meals, where you don't need an app and an online account, but can just pick up the phone and call in (unlike Texas Roadhouse), and the food is prepared super fast, even when they are busy. We usually eat here twice a month or so. Home style cuisine and family style wait staff.

This is good 'ol fashioned country food. It isn't going to win Micheline Stars. However, it's dang good! They have AYCE Seafood on Friday and Saturday night, and always have a catch and steak of the day. The regular menu has several different favorites. I love the liver and onions and the John's Chop Steak. My wife always gets the BB's Breakfast, and yes they serve breakfast all day. If you're in Milton, FL it is worth stopping by. The Baby Bakers are my favorite side. They also have a buffet and salad bar. Everything is reasonably priced and you get a good amount of food every time. Seth is the best server on staff in my humble opinion, always professional, keeps up with everything you may need, and quick. I don't think the man knows what a bad day is because he's always a very positive person. That does not mean that anyone else there is anything less. All of their staff are exceptional.

We visited for the first time in four years. The food was very good, not streaming hot, but hot. This place had become quite busy after we waited for our orders. The atmosphere is great, decor; great. The service; excellent. The restroom was very clean as was baby changing station. No complaints! Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Run down place with not great food

I really enjoyed this restaurant! The blackened catfish was delicious and tender, the hushpuppies were crispy on the outside with a warm soft center, and the lumpia was very tasty! Excellent atmosphere, and the service was great! I visited at lunchtime, and everything was spot on. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! *Update* The Philly cheese steak sandwich was delicious, and the service was excellent!!

Food is always great here! Potato soup, fried chicken sandwich (look at the size), double meat bacon cheeseburger, French dip sandwich! AMAZING! Try this place out! The best places to eat are always the ones that look like a mom and pop on th outside!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! If you want good food and even better service then this is the place. But one thing I have to mention, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE FOOD COOKED BY THE CHEF ELISABETH!! She's one of the best chefs I have EVER eaten from and I ALWAYS get her loaded breakfast fries. 10000000/10!!!

Every time I go to a different town or city I choose something not in mine, so we went to Ace. Good home cooking with good taste. Affordable. Very friendly staff. Waitress very knowledgeable and speedy. She got $15 tip on $30 bill for 4.

I had beef tips and rice , French style green beans , peach cobbler , Mac and cheese . Had enough to get a to go plate and had a second meal later .

12:30pm walked in, it said seat yourself. I did then was told section closed, moved. Waitress seamed stressed like she's worked to hard. I was given menu. Chose steak an eggs. Told me they don't have breakfast all day. I asked how was I suppose to know. I'm not a mind reader. Door doesn't display breakfast hours or even lunch. I was given menu with breakfast items, it said nothing about breakfast hrs. I don't read minds!!! I walked out cause they just didn't seem to want my business. I try to support local. But, I'll never return to this place!

Just ate here for the first time in all the 10 years I've been here and the food was great!!! I had an omelet and the potatoes and wow it was really good! The only thing I could think of is they need is fresh fruit for a side instead of all bread or potatoes!

One of the best locally owned restaurants in Milton. And I know, ive been going there since it was when la hacienda used to be there. Their Buffalo chicken sammich is fire.

I take my son out to eat about once a month. And like trying new places. This place has great food. And serves breakfast food all day long.

We just stopped by quickly for some lumpia. It’s the only place in town that we know where to get them and they were fantastic! We called on the phone they told us it would be about 15 to 20 minutes and when we arrived early, they did the best to get them out before their quoted time.

I enjoy the old gas station vibe they have going on. And their biscuits are so tasty. Everyone is friendly and service was on point. We had brunch but I want to go for the ayce seafood on Friday Update: the last two visits food was still good but I am starting to see cleanliness issues. 2 visits ago, we saw a flying roach and we saw a few sewer gnats. It's Florida, so I chalked it up to the heat. It's hard to keep them all out. On yesterday's visit though, the server brought me a cup of coffee and the spoon was already in it. I poured in my cream, stirred, took a sip and then removed the spoon - which was covered in some sticky filth so bad it looked like it hadn't been washed. It looked like it was caked in dried greens. The server was apologetic and brought another cup of coffee. I would prefer they not put the spoon in the coffee - and pour the coffee at the table so I can see the cup is clean. The coffee and the water also tasted off. But as usual the biscuits were delicious
