The food here is different and tasty. I highly recommend their unique subs. I haven't actually tried a regular everyday kind here.

I'll have to try this again, but don't get the Philly. It wasn't anything Philly like. Fries were good. The key lime pie was great. Banana pudding lacked flavor. I saw Dr Pepper bottles and got excited because I figured they'd have them on fountain. Nope. Pibb extra. The sweet tea though was on point. The one sandwich I didn't like did not ruin me. I'll be back to try the house fav as my colleagues spoke highly of it. A bit pricey though for what it is. Over $21 for a sandwich, fries, fountain drink and pudding...

Sandwiches are very good with super fresh ingredients. The staff was really nice.

I had the Peruvian sub and as expected it was exceptional. The service was on point and the food was good as always.

Is a good sandwich place 😋 but not the best.

I've been eating at Angie's on my beach trips for more than 20 years. Now this is a sub place so don't go getting your expectations up for variety...these are classic subs with fresh ingredients and homemade sauces. They have an assembly line type process, order here, pay here, drinks, sit, and wait for your name to be called. It can seem daunting since it gets busy but it truly moves along. While you wait there are plenty of little things to look at, the owner clearly has a sense of humor. Also be prepared, some seating is family style and you may not end up alone. Personally I can't break away from the Jack Del Rio which has turkey, roast beef, mushrooms, BBQ Fritos, and Del Rio (spicy ranch) sauce. If that isn't your style, grab the Peruvian, their signature sub...and sauce. My daughter advocates for the Teddy T because it has bacon, she isn't wrong. I usually require more Fritos for my sub but their fries are actually better than average, think skinny fries with actual flavor and again two homemade sauces. I was impressed. They also have a slew of homemade desserts around $3-5 which is very reasonable these days! Not enjoyed by me, but not to be forgotten, they have "legendary" sweet tea. Here is my only plea, please open up in San Marco/Riverside, I can't wait for my next beach trip to enjoy a top notch sub! Pro tip, get em for $7 after 500 pm.

Excellent food, great staff, never a bad experience here! As busy as they get, the wait has never been unreasonable. The Jack del Rio is the best, as is the Peruvian sauce! Best sweet tea in town.

We stayed in Jacksonville for a family vacation. We were looking for something quick and good for dinner one night and google pointed us here for the best subs in eastern Jacksonville. Google did not fail us ! The sandwiches here are soooooooo darn good. So good in fact we went back the following night . They also have a sub sauce for sale.YOU HAVE TO GET IT!!!!! WE put that stuff in all our sandwiches. Skip the mass chain sub shop sandwiches and come here. You will not be disappointed!

Good local spot to eat lunch. The foods consistent. I stop here maybe once or twice a month for a sandwich.

If anyone had ever told me that I would enjoy a chicken salad sandwich wrapped in capicola I wouldn’t have believed them but here I am loving it at Angie’s. I typically get the Peruvian, which is by far my favorite. That sauce is killer! I decided to go out on a limb and get the Dr., since I had already had the Peruvian twice this week and it did not disappoint. I love this place, love the atmosphere, and definitely love the food! Also, feel free to get fries for the table. You will not regret it :-)

Came to Jax beach for a week. Ate here twice. Dan Peterson….. fire. Get a table fries and their honey mustard. Try both table sauces, I like the hot one with mine. Sweet tea! Easy five stars, but we did NoT like the potato salad. Great food, chill place, and close to beach.

Vacationing from Wisconsin. Great local restaurant, family enjoyed the food. We will return for a visit soon!

I am from Nashville, but currently staying in Jacksonville to attend The Mayo Clinic for several months. I was driving down the road the other day and saw the sub shop on the right and something told me that that was a local delicious place to try. Sure enough I looked them up today while I was at the clinic and I was blown away at the variety of options for a sub shop. The lady named Tia took care of me, knowing that I was from out of town and I had to get the food to go. I got a Philly and Peruvian. Due to my medical condition, I’m about 35 pounds underweight so I can afford to order two sandwiches. I’m glad I did!! They were both delicious. After 5 PM 7 dollars for 8 inch You can’t beat that That spicy Peruvian sauce was sensational. I’m gonna start referring all my friends to that sub shop. I wish I could’ve stayed Longer. Thanks for taking such good care of me. I’ll definitely be back with friends. Oh I almost forgot the sweet tea reminded me of my mom, On point! Well done Angie Well done!

Definitely a good spot. Very accommodating for new guests. I got the turkey bacon ham and was not upset. They also do a really good job of letting you know what's on your sandwich. I would highly recommend you go. Didn't try the sweet tea but everyone says it's good. French fries were amazing as well.

PLEASE go to Angie’s!! My Mom and I loved them so much, we went twice in a week! My Mom is SUPER picky about sandwiches but she absolutely loved My Wife and The Bachelor. Said it was the best sandwiches she’s ever had (I agree!). The staff is super nice and they were super helpful and patient during our first visit. 2nd time coming and it’s been phenomenal. The bread taste so fresh. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavors are amazing. If you enjoy putting chips in your sandwich, this is the place for you. The staff are helpful and vibrant. This time I got the Big Dougie Pederson. DELICIOUS! 🤤 Oh and the brownies are gooey and delicious!

Everything they have from phillys to Italian cut subs is fantastic. I got the bachelor the first time I went and I am just so hooked. On top of the amazing food- the vibe and decor in this place is so stinking nostalgic. I can't get over how kind the staff has been every time. They were not only working hard but they were all doing it with smiles. Such a great experience. Usually we get sandwiches to go- but not when we are getting Angie's we stay in to enjoy the atmosphere. You have to stop and have a big ol cup of sweet tea and just enjoy the environment. This has became one of the places my boyfriend and I go on rotation. The bread is so amazing... I literally eat every last crumb. You will not be disappointed.👏 PS. The banana pudding is top notch🤤✨

Amazing Philly cheesesteak. Good amount of meat. Can’t wait to come back and try other subs. The staff was very friendly and quick service. I like the 6 dollar sub deal after 5pm.

Got 2 subs from Angie's. The meat has drastically decreased. This makes me sad for the long established sub shop. They save themselves with the $6.00 after 5 subs. I had to come back and up their rating..

1. Place was dirty. 2. Big old bowl of chicken salad sitting out the entire time we were there. 3. Chairs so rickety we were afraid of landing on the floor. I get it’s their schtick to have stuff everywhere, but tables were dirty, bottles of sauce were nasty and sticky. 4. Driest subs we’ve ever had. Ham was subpar quality. Had 4 “crunchies” on entire sub. Roll was stale. 5. I don’t get the hype.

When you find a locally owned sub-shop that supports the community and has the best subs at the beach, it becomes your favorite sub shop and it is so much better than any sub chain. The Famous Peruvian is my favorite with ham, salami, bacon, Italian sausage, and provolone. My husband likes the sweet tea. The service is always great and you can dine inside or outside on the deck. The specials after 5pm are a steal and they give you a free sub on your birthday! We like to pick up our subs on the way to the beach and eat them at the beach. If you're in Jax Beach, this is where the locals go.

They're subs are absolutely amazing, service is inadequate. It feels so homey and comforting. Definitely one of the places all Jax beach people like to go.

Angie’s is by far the best place to eat in Jax. Staff is awesome. Maddie and Terrance made me feel like a regular after a few visits. They actually care about the experience and make it great. I tell everyone new to the area that Angie’s is a must. The Big Doug Peterson is my favorite sub too

Angie’s has the best sandwich in Jacksonville. Perfectly located on the way to or from the beach. Angie’s collection of photos, surf gear, and creative wall art will make you feel like you’re a part of the Jax Beach community when you eat there. Their French fries are also delicious and perfectly crispy. Grab a bottle of Peruvian sauce to take home, you’ll be craving it.

Subs and tots were fantastic! It was lunch time on a Saturday, so it was busy! Tots to share were definitely enough for two+ people!

Really great sandwiches in a well-lived-in shop that is full of character and the delicious smells of toasted subs. The crew working there was helpful to me, a newcomer, and explained what was what. (Looks like a fun environment to work in, by the way.) Got a Peruvian and absolutely loved it. Can't wait to visit again.

Last time I had an Angie's sub was when there was one on Mayport rd. I wanted to go to this one Great food some of the tables were wobbly but we survived. Definitely going back next time we come home

Best Sub shop around!! When I used to visit Jax I ALWAYS made sure to stop by Angie’s. Now that I’m finally a local I make sure to hit up my fav sub shop often. There aren’t enough words to describe how perfect Angie’s is. Whether you pick up, dine in, or enjoy a nice beach picnic with your Angie’s- I promise you won’t be disappointed. My two fav subs are the Bachlor and My Wife Kicked Me Out! Soooo good- OH &&&& they have gluten free wraps !! So any gluten free peeps (like myself) can enjoy Angie’s!!! I wish I could give them 100 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The big Doug P is one of the best sandwhiches in the city!!! I am blown away everytime I eat at Angie’s. My last visit Austin was so helpful and kind he made my visit the best I’ve EVER had!! Wow I cannot wait to come back!

I like this place, but it is time for a deep cleaning and/or renovation. Looks and feels run down and neglected. If it were not for the ratings, I would have never stepped foot in this establishment.

I ordered the El Guapo and my love ordered The Batchelor that was amazing. BEST tuna sandwich ever!! The old man didn't care for the bread to be toasted all the way. We didn't know to ask for lightly toasted since we were virgins 😆 to the establishment. Your Staff and Product is #1 in my books. Love 💘 everything. Definitely will be back. I went to Angie's Subs for the first time today! I have lived in Jax for a long time and always wanted to try it but never did. I have been to Grom many times before it was sold and loved that place. Angie's Subs is AMAZING! I got The Shane sub and added pepperoni to it and kept the salami on it took off the banana peppers and added Peruvian sauce with the ranch sauce OMG the best. It was a bit of a wait for the food since it was lunch time and they were busy.....but let me tell you totally worth the wait! I got my food to and and will be eating here again for sure. This is by far the best sub place in Jax Beach and Jax in general! I see why it is such a a busy place now!! If you want the best sub in Jax go to Angie's Subs!!!! Make sure to get the fries as a side and get the ranch to dip it in, you won't regret it!!

I used to come here in college and it's been about 13 years since my last visit. The food has not changed, still one delicious sub and the Peruvian sauce is magical. Good thing I don't live close to this place!

Angie's is the heartbeat of Jax Beach, which I'd argue is a prime example of the beauty of small town America. Okay I hear you, Jacksonville probably doesn't qualify as small town America haha, but I'd argue Jax Beach does. It has such a unique charm and character. Residents and former residents have such a pride and reverence to be from here that it is infectious. It makes you want to go. It's a community that lifts each other up. If you start talking about food with a Jax beach native, the first place they will talk about is Angie's. You'll hear something along the lines of “Best subs on the planet” … "I've been going for 20+ years" ... "You NEED to get the Sweet Tea" ... "I worked there in high school!!" ... "You HAVE to get the tater tots," ... "Make SURE you put Peruvian sauce on your sub" ... and the list goes on. As we were walking up to the strip mall style building that Angie fully occupies, I couldn't help but smile at a sign in the window that reads "Closed up on Sundays, giving our employees time fer Faith, Family, and Friends." After walking in, I scanned the menu and became a little nervous as Matt James has his own sub on there. Like damn, have they gone all Hollywood on us? I thought he was a dope Bachelor, but him as this food influencer... Idk I just don't really buy it. What is Matt James finna tell me about food? He kinda gives me the ick with his social media presence...but honestly I'm probably just jealous ahahaha I would be doing the exact same thing if I was him. What a dope life. I obviously couldn't order the Matt James sandwich out of pure envy, although it does look kinda good if you take the mushrooms off tbh........... I stood on business and ordered the Peruvian, as it is their magnum opus. Their pièce de résistance. Their Mona Lisa. My hopes were emphatically restored from the whole Matt James debacle when they gave us huge styrofoam cups for our drinks... I HADN'T SEEN A STYROFOAM CUP IN YEARS! Nothing hits like drinking a coke out of a styrofoam cup I swear. We went and sat down at one of the high top chairs and......... for full transparency I've spent the past 20 minutes typing and deleting how to describe the interior of this place. In the best way possible, it reminds me of a movie set. It gives me Central Perk levels of coziness. I'm a big softy, but I get emotional when I think about places like this. It reminds me so much of my childhood in Manhattan Beach before it went all Hollywood. It's an institution that serves, and is an integral part of the community. They support local small businesses with ad space all over the tables. They have framed "Customer of the Month" pictures dating back to the early 2000s. They employ high school kids from the local high school and have a TV solely dedicated to a livestream of the Jax Beach pier. Angie's acts as almost a gathering place, a town hall if you will. As we were waiting for our subs, a group of 6 or so kids long done with their food sat to our right, proudly repping their respective college shirts and sweatshirts presumably back for Christmas break, trading stories and catching up. To our left, two gentlemen north of 60 were posted, splitting tater tots and laughing up a storm as they also awaited their subs. I'm not an eavesdropper but sometimes I like to eavesdrop hehehehee. My name was called, and a young employee handed us our subs with a big smile. Oooooooo don't get me started on this Peruvian sandwich. I'm drooling just thinking about ripping into it and getting a mouthful of fresh baked bread fused with a gang of Italian meats all brought together by a ho-made oil and vinegar mix.......... A top 3 sandwich I've ever had. In my week here I dragged my girlfriend twice, as it was my last meal in Jax before I left for the airport. I even bought their bottled Peruvian hot sauce and it got demolished in less than a week ahahahaha. Convenience culture has killed many of these small town community places. This is a must stop when we visit Jax Beach! We’ve tried a variety of different things and have loved them all. Fries are extra crispy which I love, too! Discounts after 5pm are a huge plus as well.

Angie's is a local and staple in Jax Beach. It has great service, awesome subs, delicious fries. They come heated and it takes a bit, but so worth it. My ONLY complaint is that the ranch (for the fries) is a bit runny! 😄

What can you say... it is Angie's. The sandwiches are excellent and the sides are just as good. If you like sweet tea, this is the best you will find. Be prepared to take some time looking at the menu on your first trip. The sandwiches are creative with some unexpected combinations. We will be going back.

The subs here are amazing, which is why they get a line out the door sometimes. It's packed full of kitsch and silly signs. Excellent sweet tea!

We just left after our first time (after drooling over the pictures for months on Instagram). The sandwiches were good, but I'm here to say that one of the servers, Austin, was so amazingly sweet to our 3-year-old son. He even helped him get gumballs from the machine! He complimented him on his hair and helped him put the coins in his pocket and left us with a high five. It made my son so happy, and it was so refreshing to see such a kind gesture.
