Just passing through this time I ordered a pizza. It was okay toppings didn't want to stay on the pizza. It was a good change from the seafood that I normally eat at the coast.

Generous portions of pub food. Try the Grouper or the blackened Mahi.

Food was not that impressive for such expensive prices.

This seems to be a different restaurant than the last time we were here. The food is good but not spectacular. Nice bar with limited draft selections.

This is actually my first time leaving a google review for a bar/restaurant. Unfortunate thats it’s a negative review. I sat at the (empty) bar and it took five to seven minutes to get a beer. My wife sat down after using the restroom and she was never waited on, after ten minutes or so. So we had to leave, after paying. Weird.

aka Up To No Good Tavern at the Grill. The food was great, and portions were large. Some might complain about prices, but in this day and time and cost rising for everyone, I thought prices were reasonable. Will eat here again. I had coconut shrimp with a salad, and my husband had the flounder with fries.

First time here and it was great! Service, food, and atmosphere were excellent! Had the fish dip and fried shrimp basket. Food came out quickly and was fresh and hot. Will return!

It only took seconds to get my beer after I ordered. Was a party of 6. Food came out fresh and delicious as well. The service team are amazing as well, fun and on point. Thank y'all!

We ate the best coconut shrimp ever here as well as delicious baked flatbread. If you don't want a burger, this is the place for you.

Was a fabulous day. Was in Apalachicola for the Historic Tour of Homes. Every year we attended and dine at the Grill. Always a fantastic meal. Great town.

The worst Philly cheesesteak I have ever had. Flat terrible, and way over priced.

The Apalachicola Seafood Grill is the absolute best place in town for fresh fish and a delicious beverage. We had the fried fish, grilled shrimp and chicken wings and everything was delicious!

Had a VERY nice "split" for light lunch. Salmon salad was more than ample for the split...grilled salmon was a delight!😊

Weird seating, ordering, and table selection process. You gotta pay and tip before you get your food? Plus it’s expensive! $60 for 2 people and it comes in plastic baskets and drinks in Styrofoam cups. But hey if you can stand that the food is great!

Stop in as for the name of Up to No Good Tavern which is part of this restaurant. Great flat bread - I had the Olive flatbread with mozzarella and Parmesan, it was great! The drinks were good- I enjoyed my Bloody Mary. Staff very pleasant.

We got stuck in a corner and it was hotter than hell in there.

We sat outside with our dogs. Had crab cakes, coconut shrimp, hushpuppies, and fries. All excellent.

No service you have to order at bar but they expect a tip and potato salad was horrible, fish was cooked good price was enormous will not go back

This will be a stop for us anytime we’re in Apalachicola! Everything we tried was delicious!! And everything very reasonably priced. We ate here 3 times during the week and a half we were in town. They always kindly cared for our party of 10-12. Love this place!

The food was very good. They use foam cups and platic ware which i didn't care for.

We've been going out of our way to stop here for at least 10 years running. Their fried shrimp basket is 2nd to none. I only wish that they would bring oysters back to their menu. It is "oyster city"!!!

The menu needs to be updated on the website. We were traveling and stopped for food that was listed on the menu online. When we got there the fried shrimp was no longer available. When I asked the ladies at the bar, where you place your order, I was told that the website menu was old and needed to be updated. We were on the Gulf side of Florida and I was really looking forward to having Gulf shrimp.

We loved the ceviche shrimp cocktail special. It had a sweet, tangy sauce over diced onions, avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, and shrimp, with homemade chips. The coconut shrimp and dipping sauce were also very good.

Decent food but felt a bit pricey for the area. Their fried food is delicious though.

Don't usually review but it was really nice to go to local restaurant that had SPECIALS...I think inspired by the people that are cooking it.Chefs. Unique and both were quite good.Garlic shrimp and Pork with Mole sauce. Keep it up.Please.

They have changed so much since last year. We have been coming here every year, twice a year. The menu is very different. It was a bit expensive for sandwiches. My husband and I got got grouper sandwiches with fries and I got a water and he got a tea and it was over 60.00. And they no longer make orange cake!!!! Not sure if this will be our tradition anymore.

Service, food and atmosphere are awesome! We have a project along the coastline here and the food never fails to impress. Along with the service! Support local y’all! You won’t regret it.

Very unhappy, we were seated and waited 20 minutes and never saw a waiter for our drinks or order. Walked out and 5 employees just standing around talking..

I was so disappointed that you have to go to a counter and order your food like a fast food restaurant. They were out of oysters and had only one piece of key lime pie which you have to take out of a cooler yourself. I had been going there for over 40 years. Sometimes change is not good.

21+ only during 4:30-6:30pm. Saw a family with young kids turned away, during the scoarching 103f heatwave. Restaurant was empty except for few folks around the bar. Should sell food to those that are hungry, not turn them away.

Overpriced and no service at all. It terrible not at all what it once was.

This place is a no go for me. Sat at the bar for almost 20 minutes while the staff walked right by us like we weren't even there and finally told us we had to go to the end of the bar and order what we needed. I DON'T THINK SO. ABSOLUTELY RUDE STAFF. My guess is they do really care about the people paying their wages and keeping the doors of this sub ok establishment open. I will always find a different place to eat for sure. Good luck to the owners of this place if they keep the current staff working.

I did not have chance to eat. Was too busy. They tell me I had to fund my table and them come back to paid my order??? Sorry to me look ''place to go"" . I really dont want to expend almost $60.00 for a menu like this🙄 I really see any GRILL menu😔

The service was slow, but, the food was excellent. We had the pizza and the fried grouper basket. We saw the sign about no one under 21 after 4:00, but we took our 15 year old in anyway, and they didn't kick us out.

A little pricey, but good. Chicken/guacamole burrito was great, but ask for a metal knife. Servers were super nice.

Good food. Good atmosphere. Highly recommend the blackened grouper. My wife enjoyed the blackened salmon salad , my boys loved the grilled chicken strip & "the best wings he's ever had".

25 dollars for a piece of fish, 2 tiny hushpuppies and a half cup of Cole slaw. Way too expensive! I do not recommend this place for dining.

Rude blonde hostess running the register ruined our experience within 15 seconds of walking in. Clear failure on management’s part to hire and train up staff to the bare minimum. Food was good, however.

Insanely priced for the lack of menu items and for the ones you had. Definitely not priced wisely. I mean let's be real. Throw on a piece of fish on a salad and charge us 26 dollars??? No way. Definitely isn't deserving of this price tag. Oh for 30 a pop on your baskets and only getting 1 side is absurd! Too bad cause I really wanted to try this place.

I was able to turn a BLT into a vegetarian delight! It comes with a fried green tomato. It was fantastic!

The food was ok one of the grouper baskets was raw. The wait staff was rude. We ordered our food and the they brought out one of the meals wrong. The waitress acted like it was our fault and then told us if we wanted it fixed we would have to pay for another meal. We went up front to the lady who took the order and told her the issue and she told us that we would have to pay for another meal as well. So basically we had to pay to fix their mistake.

This place is no longer Appalachicola Seafood Grill. Reviews and ratings should be changed to only new owners of "Up to No Good Tavern and Grill. The name says it all "No Good". Had Grouper that was to be grilled and came with burnt pieces from their grill which is obviously not cleaned often. It was served with tarter and cocktail sauce that you get from a takeout and price of finer dining. All tables had opened bottle of mayonnaise that was sitting out and not kept refrigerated. Service was order at bar and no atmosphere that you would expect. Don't waste your time here.

Had fried shrimp basket and they were fried perfectly. The server was not very attentive or aware.Service could be better.

The food was the best part here...the service was poor and the atmosphere was unpleasant. The bartender was annoyed that we were there ordering...very strange. Not very accessible either with the raised sidewalk and steep entrance ramp.

Vegetable pasta was a joke.. Spaghetti noodles with maybe 2 tiny pieces mushrooms some tomato and 1 super tiny piece artichoke. ALL FOR $16.99

Food was not good. Coconut shrimp did not taste like coconut shrimp. Was served with orange marmalade instead of a salsa. ? Hush puppies were not edible.

My first reaction was $29.02 for lunch at a place that has you order at the counter and serves drinks in styrofoam??? I ordered the grilled grouper basket with an upcharge for salad instead of fries. The salad was beautiful, but I hardly touched it because the grouper was so good I wasn't leaving a bite behind. The basket with salad was definitely enough food for two people. Unfortunately, there was only me, so I over ate! I left stuffed with grouper. The hushpuppies were OK, definitely not the best I ever had, but who cares with grouper that belongs in a 5-star restaurant!

Delicious food, highly recommend the fried chicken tenders on the garden salad! Their ranch is the best I've ever tasted. They have put alot of work into this restaurant and it looks awesome. Staff is always really friendly.

This is where my family and I eat lunch on Wednesday. But we ate dinner here on 2 Fridays. They have a great Gift Shop. I remember when it had a picture of Peter Fonda in Ulee’s Gold.

Not a big fan of ordering at the counter, no wait service and paying when you place your order but the food was great, the beer was good and cold and the staff and atmosphere was really fun. We will definitely go back.

The place was nearly empty when we came in and sat at the bar, was told to flip thru the menu then get up and order at the end of the bar. Really? Never been to a bar where they wouldn’t take your order right in front of you but ok, whatever.. We got the feeling that they really didn’t care for tourists, quite unfriendly and unaccommodating. Hmm, I’m guessing 80 percent of your business comes from tourists. On the flip side, the BLT with FGT was messy but good. I like good service though so we won’t be back! So there’s no confusion, the sign outside reads “Up to no good Tavern”. Thought it would be a fun place but I guess it was just fitting!

The name and menu have changed since we were here in December, but the food options were great and the food was good! A little disappointing that it now does not allow Under 21 after 4:30pm.. Kind of changes dinner options for families.

"Seafood Grill' is NOT a proper description of this establishment. Bar with few menu choices is a better description. The coconut shrimp was packaged frozen .The fried shrimp basket was OK, but small in size. The best part of the meal was the sample sized portion of potato salad.

If you looked at the pictures and menus and you're thinking of going here because it sounds really good don't! The pictures and menus are old. The menu has changed and it only has 1 combo for seafood. Grouper and shrimp. There are no more crabcakes and the captain's platter is gone. I love seafood, so their new menu was already a huge let down. My husband ordered the fried shrimp basket and I ordered the coconut shrimp. What a disappointment.They looked like they came out of Publix's freezer section. Considering they're right on the gulf and fresh seafood is right down the road, it is just shameful that they don't make their own coconut shrimp. The waitress could tell I was unhappy with my selection but did not offer any solutions at all. So my sweet husband switched meals with me. Which was not much better. This is no longer a restaurant it's a bar with garbage seafood. If you want good seafood, don't go here!
