We take day trips to Apalachicola once a month. We love going to Up The Creek. Portion sizes are huge so we split the $26 mahi basket 2.5 ways. Great views and brews. Service staff is always reliable and attentive. They must treat their staff well because the same people have been working there for years. We'll be back again and again. Sitting on the porch is a must. Be mindful of the birds though, they're hungry too.

One of our favorite restaurants. We always enjoy the Old Florida feel of Apalachicola and we always make at least one stop here. Good drinks, great view, amazing fried flounder and french fries and very friendly, laid-back staff. I must say, we were disappointed to see they’ve stopped serving homemade tartar and cocktail sauce. The packaged sauces have no taste. 😔

Chill place on the river with a great view. Order/pay at the counter, and they bring the food to you. We had grouper and scallops, and both were delicious. Asked this guy to take a pic of the wife and I, he took a selfie 😅. Making you famous Charlie.

Good oysters , good service, dry fish but overall good stop. We’ll go again.

Had a terrible experience trying to sit outside we have a toddler and a dog and one of the servers told us to move our dog because they had to walk by and they have terrible seating so what were we supposed to do??? Very rude!!! Not Toddler or dog friendly they had bar seats for outside seats, the high chair didn’t even go up to the table … terrible experience! We walked out didn’t even get to eat !

We had oysters, conch fritters, and fish tacos, which were all excellent. The cocktails are delicious, as well!

No better oysters, service, or people within miles. A true hidden gem. Don’t spoil it.

This place is the best spot for oysters in Apalachicola. Hard to get a better view and better food - if you come to the Forgotten Coast you have to stop here.

This place was absolutely what we were looking for. Fresh oysters, good beer, friendly staff, awesome view and atmosphere. Can't wait to get back up there to go again.

We didn’t think we would get our food so quickly with the large party we had. You order at the counter and find a seat. Once we ordered, we had our food within 10 minutes at the most. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend the grilled shrimp and steamed oysters with olive oil and Parmesan cheese. Even the kids’ chicken strips were good! They make their ranch in-house so it was incredible. Pretty views of the bay. It was a bit pricey, but we will definitely be returning!

It has a beautiful view for dining. The food was good but I don't recommend you getting blackened if you aren't a fan of heavily spicy food. The blackened sandwich was coated in seasoning. I scraped a bunch off. Other than that everything was delicious, fresh and great. You have to get up and go order your food at the counter at the front.

I hadn't been to up the creek in a few years. I am assuming management has changed at the restaurant. The way your meal is ordered has changed you do it from a counter and your food is brought to the table. One thing that hasn't changed is the food it is decent food at a decent price in a neat little location along the river. We enjoyed our meal as well as the drinks and the atmosphere. The place is not what I remembered but still worth a visit.

Love this place. I have came here everytime I was within driving distance. The oysters are the best I've ever had and the other menu items are always served in generous portions. Although you place your own order and get your own drinks and refills the staff is always there to assist. Friendly staff, beautiful views of the bay, and great food is hard to beat. If I ever make it back to this area I will definitely eat here again.

Food great, staff great. You do however order at a counter for a price that seem to warrant full service. Dog friendly patio with a great view. All just a few minutes walk from a plethora of great shops.

Had lunch here today. I had half a dozen raw Oysters followed by Mahi tacos. Both were excellent. My wife had the flounder basket. She loved it! There's enough leftover for our supper. We ate on the deck, since we had our pup with us. They could use some fans to keep the air moving better. It's a bit pricey. $72 for our lunch with 1 bottled beer and one draft. The service was fast and very good! We'd certainly go back.

LOVED the Ukraine oysters. Miss the crab bisque. The menu has been greatly reduced from a couple years ago. That's what we went for, abs the breaking on the shrimp was heavier than I like. Mahi tacos were very good. But the view from the deck just can't be beat. Makes the trip worthwhile, even in the level of food has dropped just a bit.

Just felt sketchy there. Talked with some locals who were visiting the bar for the first time in a long time and they felt similar. Poured out our drinks on the walk over to the way better waterfront bar over at the Scipio Beach Marina. Bumped into the same couple over there...

Food ok, but way overpriced! $25.95 for a basket of fish with fries, I’m sorry is too pricey. You order the food at the desk and they will bring it to the table. Too expensive! Too bad , we really liked the place

Nice upper deck overlooking the water. Great crab cakes...meaty without too much filler and a nice remoulade with good amount of spice. Cooked perfectly. Tasty sweet potato fries and creamy coleslaw with just the right amount of mayo. Reasonable prices!

The food is delicious & as reasonably priced as other restaurants in the area. The view is awesome and did I say the food is DELICIOUS!!

My husband and I both ordered the grouper fish basket. I had mine fried and he had his blackened. Both were very, very good. You have to go to the counter to place your order.

I was pleasantly surprised by the grilled grouper tacos and sweet potato fries on a recent visit. Others in the group enjoyed their fried plates as well.

Overpriced and the food is nothing to rave about. French fries were way to spicy for a regular french fry. We had the tacos- yuk-too much sauce- and fried shrimp/not a good breading. Our friends had baked oysters and they really liked them. I personally would not recommend this place. Ive tasted better for less. We only went here because our friends have a dog and you can sit with your dog on the balcony. The food was better last year. I wont be back.

Every plate is expensive and they take your order by you coming to them and placing an order at the counter. For hardly anything under $25.00 ......you'd think they'd serve you at your table! Sister restaurant uptown was better and service was great and prices more reasonable. Bypass this one and walk 4 blocks.... you'll be glad you did!

Atmosphere was great despite it being a cold day. Outside deck had some nice heaters. The service was friendly and fast. The food was delicious. My boys had fun with the sharks in the restaurant. LOL

Literally ON the creek front. You can eat outside or on the screened porch (recommended), but there is also inside dining as well. Oysters are great, but so is everything else. Fried fish sandwiches, fish entrees, and burgers for the non-fish bozos.

Nice place with indoor and outdoor seating on the water. Thr portions are very generous and the food is good. Staff was very friendly and restaurant was clean.

I love the view from the porch and have been returning to this restaurant for years when we visit. The food is good. We were a little bummed to find out it wasn’t local fish tbh when we asked the server. Staff was helpful. They have to deal with a lot of tourists. For lunch we ordered Mahi Tacos, daily special Grouper with fries, six raw oysters, 2 waters. $71.00.

Not only is the food and atmosphere amazing, the staff is as well. I unfortunately left my purse at the restaurant and they found me and mailed it to me! Truly amazing and honest staff to do this and I am so appreciative!

Oysters were really fresh! It was really breezy when we were here and we had our dog. We sat at a table in the screened area but it's tight with a dog.

This used to be my favorite spot for fried oysters. Last night, the kid working the counter said we never had fried oysters. (Hmmm ok) We got fish tacos and shrimp tacos, the fish and shrimp were delicious but the cheap jar salsa they put on them, ruined them. Disappointing

Had the Ukrainian oysters again, and an order of conch fritters. Both were perfect! Then had an order of baked oysters with garlic and parmesan cheese. Off the charts! Cooked perfectly. Great go to. We will definitely be back again and again.

The oysters were fresh and real good. I had the Russian and hubby had the steamed with garlic & butter. The view was a bonus from the back deck overlooking the Bay. Service was decently ok, but not overly friendly.

Shrimp tacos and parmesan oysters were definitely worth it! If you're a bloody mary fan, try one. You won't be disappointed!

We have been here several times but over the years they have not been as good. They use to have a lot of flavors of oysters and a salad bar. This time I wanted my oysters steamed well and of coarse they assured me they would cook them really well and the cheese would be nice and melted. They came out and they were not cooked well. It’s just frustrating to pay $84 for 2 lunches and it not be great. Views are amazing.

We had 2 grouper baskets. One fried using the best batter and one blackened just perfect. They were both great! The waffle sweet potatoes were crispy on the outside tender on the inside. We will go there again

Over priced food for sure. Some type of monopoly of food pricing in this area. 64.00 for shrimp,fries,and oysters is kinda steep. Service was really good because of the prices they need to give good service. The shrimp we're cold intentionally intended to be warmed by hot fries. Not Good, no Gulf taste just stringy shrimp. Fries were super hot best item actually on the plate. Qysters we're okay but over seasoned in my opinion. No fried oysters at this location also.

Over priced $25 for 1 slice of grilled grouper with fries from McDonald’s, and to have to go to the counter to order and only had to go plastic silverware. The fish was so salty we could not eat it McDonald’s fry’s we’re better than these. Our 2 drinks were nasty! Menu on the website is outdated.

The food here is very good. Mahi and Shrimp tacos were spot on. Don’t waste your money on side orders! We ordered a side of hush puppies for $6.99 and they brought out six hush puppies, that’s over $1 per pup outrageously expensive!!! The view from the outside covered deck is beautiful which is why we didn’t mind paying more for food but a $1.15 per hush puppy NOT worth it.

Love the food and the atmosphere. The staff isn't the friendliest. Overheard someone asking about seating and heard a worker snap back at her "I don't have a crystal ball" yikes. And we told the counter that the sprite was bad. Waited about 30 minutes and went to get a refill and politely asked if the sprite had been changed and the woman at the counter just said I don't have a clue and that was it. Better service from the staff would be nice. It may be because they don't really work for the tips as you pay at the counter before you are even served. The fish tacos are amazing- request the salsa on the side. It's a little overpowering. The spicy ranch on it is perfect. Crab cakes are amazing too.

Amazing oysters, incredible fish tacos, the employees are friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. 10/10 will return. One of the best places around. A real must stop for anyone passing through the area.

The price is way too expensive. 2 basket meals and one order of oysters was $92. No alcohol.
