I really enjoyed home-style American food. Particularly I love the hash brown. The ingredients from the dishes that we ordered were fresh. I wanna dine in tomorrow again. Wow, this place is good. The local community is blessed by this restaurant.

I called Billy’s Cafe one morning in search of Belgian Waffles for my lady and I as there aren’t many options in the area. A man promptly answered the phone and when I asked if they served Belgian Waffles he responded with “we have BEEAAUUTIFUL Belgian waffles.” I thanked him and my lady and I headed up there. I’ll admit that we were skeptical. Seeing as we love Belgian Waffles and have dined in to many places looking for them. Upon arriving at Billy’s Cafe, we were greeted with a vintage “home style” feel of a restaurant. To our surprise, they were very busy and we had to wait for a table for a few minutes. We ordered our waffles and to our pleasant surprise, they were just as described. The man on the phone from earlier that morning was not exaggerating. Their Belgian Waffles are about an 1-1/4 inch tall, fluffy on the inside and the perfect amount of crisp on the outside. They will load them with whatever fruit you would like and a generous amount for that matter. Along with your syrup and powdered sugar. It’s delightful. In conclusion, if you’re in the area of Taveres and you are looking for a fantastic Belgian Waffle, Billy’s Cafe will not disappoint!

We were out early to vote and decided on Billy's for breakfast. A good choice. The morning special was French Omellette with a starch side and toast. We both had the same, except my wife had the home fries, and I had hash browns. Everything came out within a reasonable time. It all tasted very good. Our service was excellent. Prices are reasonable, and the food is good with a wide selection of breakfast items. Steller service! Enjoy!

We had some time in between basketball games and wanted a quick bit to eat for breakfast. This place was super close to the basketball courts, so we decided to give it a try. It was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. We were pleasantly greeted immediately as if we knew the staff. We sat in a booth which fit us comfortably. The entire staff was amazing, they really go above and beyond and seem to help each other out. We got there during the rush but our waitress Jossie warned us it may take a little longer than usual, but they kept our beverages coming. If you like meat but not pork you may find the breakfast menu with little options. The pancakes are HUGE! The omelet was a decent size and they aren't shy with the fillings. There were so many different kinds of pancakes, i was impressed. Overall the food was good but the service is to RAVE over. I'll definitely be back!

Billy is a hidden gem for brunch lovers. Their home-style cooking is top-notch, and you won’t find better food vs reasonable prices anywhere in town. The kids absolutely adore the pancakes and cheeseburgers, while Billy’s omelette is simply out of this world. The food is always delicious, and the service is warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back for more. Thanks to Billy Café for the honest pricing and exceptional food!

We ordered a sausage and egg and a corned beef and egg omelet and both were nicely prepared.But the filling in both were very bland, especially the sausage.Service was good.Maybe we will try waffles next time.

I indulged in the omelette, grits, and pancakes, each dish surpassing my expectations. If you're in search of a cozy spot offering quality food at reasonable prices, look no further. My children adore the pancakes here, ensuring we'll be returning for more delightful meals.

Servers slow especially with delivering checks. Had to go ask for them. Of course it was a Sunday and busy.

UPDATE: Billy's just upped their game by adding Beyond Burger to the menu! It was delish! Are go-to breakfast place. The servers and all support staff are amazing!!

My friend Linda and I had breakfast. It was unbelievably how busy they were but how the waitresses and Waiters and cashiers were all on top of it. The food was delicious. Excellent excellent place to go for breakfast or lunch

Love Billy's! Grandkids visiting want to go there every time. Wait was a bit long for a party of 6 cuz they only have 2 tables to handle large groups. Groups of 1-6 in booths moved fairly quickly. The Rollups are always a winner - any filing, or just plain. Grandson loved the hash browns!

Great place to eat. Noisy at times. Beware of side walk. Tripped my wife she fell.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and hot. The restaurant was very clean. It was one of the best breakfast places I've ate at by far.

Just wasn't very good. Weak grits. Bacon was not crispy as ordered. Biscuits were not worth it.

To those customers that were in on Saturday and had a bad experience 😕 Im truly sorry. We had an emergency where I had to take one of our servers to the ER.the staff left behind to carry us did the best they could under the circumstances, the male server that you are referring to going to smoke, he doesn't smoke! He was checking on his wife who was rushed to ER. I hope you will come back and give us a try again.

Waited for ever to be told they were out of chicken. Never brought a menu so I could reselect ordered a Ruben had2 slices of grilled corn beef on sandwich never refilled drinks. Will never go back

My husband and I are regular diners at Billy’s Cafe in Tavares. The food is good, the people that work there are great, the regulars all know each other, and it is our go to spot for breakfast. My favorites are the veggie omelet, the breakfast burrito special, and the apple roll ups with whipped cream (if you like apple pie, you’ll love these). There are plenty of other restaurants that are closer to where we live that we could go to, but we take a 30 minute drive each way to go to Billy’s because of the excellent food and service.

Stop by with my family waited 20 minutes to flag down a server left after another 30 minutes of not getting drinks so I can’t even tell you how the food is but I can tell you the male servers were more worried about going outside to smoke a cigarette

Service was good as was food. Mixed up on my food asked no cheese got it salad looked so amazing so I decided to just remove it myself.

Needed breakfast, saw Billys and stopped. Definitely glad we did. My omelet was great. My husband had eggs, with sausage and home fries. Home fries and sausage were good. A real down home place to eat. Staff was very firendly. Will stop again if in the Taveres area at breakfast time.

I have loved eating breakfast at Billy's for years. It's a real treat. Their food is really delicious, the atmosphere is homey and the staff is friendly. I always order a side of gravy for the biscuit that comes with my omelet. Their home fries are awesome as are the biscuits and gravy. Come here for homemade comfort food.

our breakfast was delicious served hot and fast, even though the place was quite busy. My only concern would be cleanliness call as it looks very unkempt in the dining area.

Same thing with Javier. I was driving by here for the last 4 years and finally stopped a few months ago. Now I try to visit this little gem at least once a week for breakfast. Clean restaurant, clean plates, good food, good prices and most importantly great staff! No nonsense place! In and out fast.

Food was good. One of the servers was so loud complaining in the alley about things and the whole restaurant could hear everything. VERY unprofessional, and ruined the mood of breakfast. If want to complain about where you work, the entire restaurant should not have to listen to it. Our server, Melissa was outstanding! Not the way we wanted to start the day.

Our family had the nicest breakfast here on Easter Sunday. The staff at Billy’s always make you feel like you’re a part of the family and right at home. We’ve never had bad service and have loved this little gem in Tavares, FL. You won’t find a kinder staff or a better affordable home cooked meal. It’s Tavares best kept secret! If there’s ever a line, it’s well worth the wait - and the wait is never that long because they manage their tables so well. We just love this little mom n pop restaurant!

We left because no one greeted us, tables were empty not cleaned but line of people waiting...also looked at pricing and it was 3 to 4 dollars more per plate than other local breakfast places....thanks but no thanks, I will take my business elsewhere!

Don't pass this place up for breakfast. Everything we tried was delicious, the service is excellent, everyone on the floor was operating as a team and it was felt in our experience.

The staff is attentive and treats you like family. As a regular they treat me like as if i qas a patron of "Cheers". Thier food is great and if you like a diner atmosphere and fair this is a win for you.

Good diner food, restaurant packed on a Sunday morning. They moved fast, though, and had us seated in 15 min despite 20+ people ahead of us in line.

Worst service ever. I went here and was seated at a booth where I was literally ignored for 30 minutes by every server. A kind hostess came and offered me an iced tea after about 10 minutes of waiting but that was it. The servers walked around taking care of all the other tables and completely ignored me. I have never experienced such flat out horrible service in my life. All of these reviews saying “best service ever” blows my mind. I have been in the service industry for over 20 years. I have tons of empathy, patience and understanding as I have been on the other end. For me to be at the point where I actually got up and walked out says a lot.

Your average cafe. Hubby got one cup of coffee. Bathrooms needed attention badly. If a customer has an accident they should at least tell someone. Gross! Food was average.

The food is always great at Billie's. But what really sets Billie's apart from other restaurants is the service. It is always fast and courteous. Love this place!

I just called to place a "to go" order, only to be told by MELISSA, that on the weekend's you have to come in and place a "to go" order. I said that defeats the purpose of calling ahead to have it ready when I get there. She said "sorry I don't make the rules I just enforce them. I replied, "well you guys are going to lose a lot of business because of this policy" Melissa responded "we're not going to lose any business, we have "plenty". Then she proceeded to say have a nice day and hung up on me. Way to go Billy's Cafe for having rude employee's who don't value NEW BUSINESS and way to go for having a policy that hurts your business more than it helps it. Employee's like Melissa, should be fired at all expense.

Pick a not so good time. Sunday lunch, very busy. Good food. Just busy.

Nice place for breakfast, stayed near by and did breakfast on a Friday and a Saturday. Was good both times. Very neat and clean, great place to take friends for a morning out.

Went there and was cash only so limited us on what we could eat. French toast was thin bread and pretty much tasted like egg. Scrambled eggs were over cooked. Husband asked for crispy hash browns and both times wasn't crispy. It was pretty much lack luster.

Came in 5 mins before closing and the waitress still took our order as if we were the first customers of the day. Food was amazing and even better because it was definitely the type of place I was looking for on my drive through the area.

Billy is a nice little restaurant. It only serves breakfast and lunch. The wait staff is very quick and friendly. It has good Hometown cooking, country cooking always has a good breakfast and lunch special. I've eaten there several times and have not had a bad meal yet. Stop in and give it a try if you're around for breakfast or lunch.
