I've been to this place 2 times over the last week and a 1/2. It's very good, especially on the hot summer day in Florida. However, I will say some of the stuff is kind of pricey. I mean, it's almost $8 for a large shake. That seems a little high, but if you like that kind of stuff, I guess it's worth the money. If you've never been there, you definitely want to check it out, Especially on a hot summer day.

Service was great and the portions are more than you would expect.( On what I ordered) Some items on the menu are a little pricey but the service makes up for it.

This place is always busy.. you wait in line for service by people that act like you are bothering them. They then take a lot of time to make a simple soft serve icecream. Yes it tastes good but the ice cream cone or sundae is not worth the wait...

Love the vanilla soft serve in a waffle cone. The ice cream is not overly sweet, is very creamy, and the waffle cones are always fresh. Plus the staff is super sweet! Make sure to bring cash to tip them.

UPDATE - Service was much better and employees were genuinely interested in assisting. Adding stars to show improvement. It isn't what it use to be, we have visited 3 times in the last month and service has been painfully slow and orders not made correctly. Last visit the employee filling our order was disinterested and disinclined to make it correctly, the "milkshake" was so thick it was soft-serve ice cream and the sprinkles and M&M in the ice cream we're so few it might as well as not been there. If there is a line, don't bother stopping.

Horrible service the server Maylin overcharged us for items and lied about it. She also has this horrible attitude. When I asked she excuse herself because I changed my topping from 3 that comes with it to 1. Also charged an old lady extra for nothing. Very iffy business if you ask me. I dont want to go to places to be robbed.

The atmosphere is deceiving , you see a 15 ft ice cream cone from the street, but it's not all that , only 3 flavors of ice cream , I ordered a Sundae , comes in cup or boat , but when I told the cashier cup she looked at me like I had two heads. It's not that bad just needs some improvements.

We shared a banana split, and it was the bomb! This place is locally iconic. Their twisty cone building really grabs your attention! This is a great place for families to treat themselves now and again. Be prepared to wait a little while before you get your order, but it's not too bad in that respect. The staff is helpful and they really hustle. Our order was specific yet perfectly made.

Staff was super nice and even gave my little kitten a cup of whip cream for free. Which my kitten absolutely loved. Food was good too. Highly recommend

Very rude isn’t polite at all. I called and asked if they were hiring and was told I would hear back never did so I called again and got attitude from a girl with a accent, the first 2 people who I had talked to on the phone were very nice, but I wouldn’t recommend trying to call for applying.

Great little stand. A throw back to 1960s. Dip cone was outstanding. Chocolate had great flavor and texture. Tasted like real chocolate - non waxing. Service was very good.

This place is always a wait so be warned. But what you are waiting for is absolutely 110% worth it. It is amazing. The toppings are not skipped on. They are very kind and carefully make each order. They make sure you are taken care of before moving onto the next person. I highly recommend the Twirl. Amazing. I get peanut butter and cookie dough in mine. All of the items are great though.

Very creamy soft serve. Not eggy like Culver's custard, , but still very rich. Also, mediums are like larges elsewhere, so be careful!

This was my first time here despite having driven past it many times. I got a slush in a cup that was covered in mold, which I dumped onto the ground. The service was unbelievably slow so I didn't bother asking for a refund. My friend purchased ice cream which she described as, "mediocre at best". We will not return.

We got 2 small twirls. Both had the toppings throughout the whole ice cream. The ice cream is so smooth and rich. And the servers were prompt and kind. A good place to take the family!!!

The owner and employees are always very nice! We go a couple a couple times a month because it's a mile from the house. We like that the prices have remained affordable and they cater to dogs. *Please put more hot fudge in the middle of the brownie sundae. 😋

They have all kinds of good stuff, you can even get a cone dipped and with nuts.

Smooth nice cream and great service

Two employees which were teens who just wanted to go home. Arrived at 9:40. Stores closing hours are 10pm. The counter was closed and a boy opens the window and asks what me what I want. I told him the brownie sundae. Girl in the background says no we are not making that only cup or cone. Boy regurgitates what she says. Mind you they already had a sign that said sorry “our slushie machine is not working”. The employees just wanted to go home and were lazy. Super disappointed today.

Best ice cream around! This one has been around for decades!

First off, I LOVE Twistee Treat ice cream! Can't say that enough, easily the best soft serve around. That being said, the Tavares location could really use a face lift, and I mean that in every possible way. I go out to the Ocoee store more often than Tavares (even though I live in Tavares) because their service is FAR better, their menu is more extensive particularly in sizes, and they have a drive through that runs like Chick-fil-A! The Tavares location has good ice cream, no doubt! But their service is almost always sub par. I've been there multiple times when they said they could only take cash, okay, that's fine. But then a couple times now they said cash only and then I order and they say they can't make that. Hey, no worries! How about this item? Nope, can't have that either. So what can I have? A plain cup or cone. Just saying, that's the kind of this staff does to pocket cash for inventory that won't be missed... All in all, Twistee Treat has amazing ice cream! So good in fact, I remember driving the 40 minutes to the Ocoee location instead.

So for once I could say the ice creme is ice cream and I am surprised by the price that they have r affordable for a family ove any income they havent raises there price because ove covid...like the rest ove the world ...this is the place were every one and any one that want to taste real ice creme not frozen milk but real ice cream..woooow wat a relief to see that some business owner still care about how mutch they could charge for there product....welcome to the real America that i believe. In ...not the money hungry tucker that exploits for the sake of money and greed......i rest my case ..bravo to that honest business owner.....it cald integrity at it core.......god bless u my friend ..in my book ove kindness i am with u..

I give 5 stars, but I feel 4 is adequate because they took away the large size twister or twistee. They did add an additional topping to the item. But I would rather have 2 toppings with a large option than 3 toppings with the medium option. Also the this location is awesome. The employees are very friendly, so when you have the opportunity, stop in and get a twistee with Heath Butterfiner and reeses peanut butter cups. It's my favorite.

Ordered a vanilla ice cream dipped in butterscotch my sis ordered vanilla dipped in cherry. Ice cream is not vanilla flavored at all, or even sweet. Just tasted like plain cream. The dips taste like candle wax with a slight flavor mixed in. Very disappointing.

I wasn't sure about going here after being disappointed with another location, but this one is great! The staff were nice and very fast, and most importantly, the ice cream was great here and not super runny immediately.

The line was long when we arrived, but the service was fast and friendly. The ice cream was cold and good, but it melted very fast on this hot day. Wonderful summer treat. I have used to get ice here before I had kids. Today I took several of my grandkids. Great place and great memories.

Most unpleasant group of girls iv ever seen work anywhere. Would never typically be the one to go out of my way and make a review, but even the two girls ahead of me murmured “they are rude here”. Love the milkshakes, but damn I believe your workers play a huge part in the success of a business. And these girls should just stay home if they aren’t happy lol.

The service is quick and the ice cream is good. The onky priblem with this ice cream is it melts so fast compared to other places. They have a decent amount of selections on cones, topings and flavors. The prices are good as well and a family can get ice cream under 15 bucks if you stick with the basics. Overall a good place to eat.
