Really good Brisket and Burnt Ends. Mac and Cheese was really good as well. Soda machine was down but they have cans while it’s getting fixed.

I order this for the office regularly and everyone loves it. It's delicious and the staff is beyond kind and generous. They even deliver on bicycles to the local area -- catering for 150 comes on two cycles with carriages. It's delicious and eco friendly.

The lines are typically long but the food is good. If you're in the mood, their pulled pork is excellent.

the food is excellent but often the sandwich is not heated to proper temps, heat the meat more! It would also be amazing if the buns were toasted.

Had the beef brisket with the Chicago sauce and the North Carolina sauce. The meat was very tender and the sauces were very good. Gets busy and loud at lunch time, but so does every other restaurant in the area.

Service and Food was great - lunch time rush!

I got the brisket, mac and cheese, and cornbread for lunch. The brisket was good, it was tender and fell apart easily. Not too smoky either. The cornbread was a bit dry and I'm not a fan of the whole kernel corn being in there. The mac and cheese was good but I wish it wasn't in an aluminum pan so I could have reheated it and the way it's cooked made it difficult to eat the edges, I had to dig a hole and eat the center only. I got the NC bbq sauce which was flavorful but tangy because of the vinegar. It was also watery, which I expected the sauce to have some thickness to it. Overall, I thought the food was good but a bit pricey for the portion size (~$15 for lunch). I would try it again because the brisket was delicious.

Generous portion when grabbing dinner here at the end of a long day. The pork was yummy and the sausages were pretty nice as well. I enjoy the pickles that you get with the meet, though the mac was pretty mediocre. Got the job done, but didn't blow me away. Perhaps would've been a bit more fresh and nice tasting for lunch? Might've gotten the leftovers...

This was a decent place, OK but not outstanding. It is casual and comfortable. The food is adequate, but I wouldn't go far out of my way to eat there. The staff was polite and friendly.

I ordered the bbq brisket with South Carolina sauce. Order came with house made coleslaw and house made pickles. All was amazing!! Coleslaw even had a little kick, brisket was smoked perfectly with a nice smoke ring. Flavor was amazing and service was friendly and quick. They keep up with the fast paced world of Chicago. Will come again! Great work you guys, keep it up!

Really good food but spent almost $13 on a brisket plate and corn bread, and was still hungry. Portions are small.

I love that they have jackfruit BBQ! Very busy at lunch time but very efficient assembly line service and staff are quick n' friendly.

Helpful crew, ordered online the same day (poor planning on my end) and they were able to take my order.. able to pick up in time in store . Tastes just as food as if u r eat in the store... Jackfruit salad.. it's amazing.. thought it was meat when I took the first bite.. very flavorful.

Love this place!! Didn’t know they did breakfast until recently and it’s the best tasting/best value breakfast option in the loop by far.

I go here for lunch quite often, around once every two weeks only due to me trying to be conservative on how much meat I eat. I used to come here once a week. I've eaten all their meat offerings and it goes in this order in terms of taste: ribs, brisket, pork, chicken. That order is also how things are priced. You won't be disappointed and the quality of food is high. Edit Due to Owner response regarding Jackfruit: I've had the Jackfruit sandwich a couple of times and it's very good. Can't tell it's not meat at all!

This is a pretty solid choice for lunch. You will walk in, stand in a long line (they do move through the line fairly quickly), place your order, move through the assembly line and pay...with food in hand. Yep, its a chain but let's be honest, its pretty good. I think their meats are very flavorful. Their brisket and pulled pork never seem to disappoint. My go to order though is the brisket salad. Ya, a salad. The salad starts with a bowl of romaine lettuce/cabbage mix. They will mix in some lean and flavorful brisket and then you start to build your own. They then will allow you to customize your toppings. Do yourself a favor and add the roasted sweet potato...mmmm. I know, I wouldn't think sweet potato and salad is a normal mix but it is awesome. Splurge on your diet and add chunky corn bread croutons.

Had the pulled pork sandwich with a mac n cheese side. While it was good they were a little stingy with the sauce. Woulda been nice to have a variety at the table to try different kinds. Did not have that so I had to choose. Got the North Carolina sauce. Good. But not the best I've had by far. Good but not great. The mac n cheese was basically a thimble full. Hard to find good BBQ in Chicago.

Price is great, service is friendly, and the portions are decent. BBQ tastes pretty good, but not the best there is in Chicago. However, this is more than worth a stop for a lunch out of the office.

I stopped in for a quick bite before getting my train. The pulled pork is excellent. Lot's of sauce and side choices. A little bit of the south in Chicago.

The Mac and cheese is fantastic, if you like your bbq saucy, you'll have to ask for extra sauce.

Can't say enough about the great service here. The manager on duty, Ebony, was very kind when I came in for lunch and realized I had forgotten my wallet. I was so embarrassed, but she helped me out. And when I did at last sit down to enjoy my food, it was really great! Definitely recommend the Chicago style sauce on the pulled pork. Thanks a bunch to this whole crew!

A great place to come for lunch . What ever you get be sure you put the Chicago BBQ sauce on it . If you have folks in town for business this is a never fail place

The tradeff at Blackwood is price vs quality. You are guaranteed to pay a high price - usually north of $10 and up to $15. That's spendy for lunch. But you're getting prime cut meats and great sauces. Go to splurge every once and a while!

I understand this might not be what some people want from a BBQ joint. You have to speak to 10 different people to put our order up. But the quality of the food was pretty good. The pulled pork was a tad dry for my taste but the brisked was awesome. Went back several times.

The line moves fast, so don't not go because of the line. The BBQ pulled pork was tender and moist, with a great sauces to select from...I tried the "Memphis" style, which was delicious. Their signature apple coleslaw is a great improvement on regular coleslaw. And they have sweet tea. The perfect lunch combo!

Great food here. Pick your meat, then your sauce, and don't forget the slaw on sandwich. Good sides selection too.

Brisket was well smoked and tender. Portions were perfect. I had the Chicago sauce which was really good. Wife had the Kansas City which was kind of bland. I heard others comment on how goo the Carolina and Memphis sauces were. Potato salad was good as well.

Came with my boss it was 2 hours before closing they where already starting to breskdown and clean up none and i repeat none of the 3 employees smiled or said a word not even a hello they didnt look happy that customers where coming in....food was good. service was horrible i wont be back for that price ill eat somwhere service is better and my business is welcomed

Little pricey, good food. Great Mac and cheese

This place used to be one of my favorites. I always get a brisket salad. The brisket itself is still delicious. However the salad changed. The salad used to have cherry tomatoes and spring mix. Now the salad has oversized sliced carrots and sweet potato on a lettuce base. Number of dressings / sauces also changed. They used to have 5 sauces, now it is just 3. Looks like management is trying to save on ingredients.

Brisket is on point. Haven't found a sauce that I really like but the meat is delicious. The cornbread is awesome too

The place use to be top notch ambut the last few visits the brisket has been dry. They have a good breakfast option that comes with eggs, brisket, and potatoes along with BBQ sauce. This place is hit or miss can be very good to decent.

Went in for a Brisket platter but when I saw the Brisket Salad, it looked so good that I switched my Platter order to a Brisket Salad and OMG it was Awesome! Try it next time!

Very good tender pulled pork with several different BBQ sauces. It really melts in your mouth. The brisket was a bit fatty, I'd stay with the pork.
