If you are looking for a quaint and relaxing place, this is it! Working lavender farm with the lavender used in a myriad of wonderful products. The farm is owned and designed by a landscape architect. Whimsy touches from the lucky stone paths to the various fountains and art pieces. Adorable. Of note, lavender season stops blooming at the end of July, so you won't see the actual flowers after that time, but the plants are still there along with a small herb garden.

Beautiful lavender farm in a stunning location. The staff is very kind and welcoming and there was a peaceful feel to the experience. So many pretty places to take pictures and a darling gift shop with lots of variety. There was ample places to sit for those who didn’t want to wander or who needed a break. There was a surprising amount of parking. We cut our own stems for .15 cents each but you can buy it pre-cut, too. Highly recommend! 💜

My daughter and I love spending time on this beautiful lavender farm. We have ice cream and pick the lavender and meander though the shop which always has unique gifts.

Beautiful layout and so relaxing. They had a class on cordial making while I was there that was excellent. Everyone was very friendly. Their store was well stocked with so many lovely lavendar gifts. Very nice way to get away from the city.

Went here today for tea with a group of 5 adults and 3 small children for my mother's 78th birthday. My sister contacted the place a few days prior and made sure kids were welcome and let them know we were coming to celebrate our mother's birthday, but we weren't expecting anything special beyond the already determined tea service. When we arrived at 1:30 we were told there was going to be a wait for maybe 45 minutes to an hour. Fine, no big deal, we will hang out and enjoy the scenery. Almost an hour into our wait, a table large enough to accommodate us opened up, but the server did not approach us to let us know. We walked up and inquired about the table and were given a vague answer and that they were busy and they would try to seat us soon. After quite some time passed, we were approached by the server to say they were out of scones and they would reduce our per person charge to $10 because they could only give us cookies and ice cream. Fine with us, we would just like to sit down. It was hot and my elderly mother doesn't do heat well for too long. Server also said she would seat us at the open 6 person table in a little while but she was going to wait till it calmed down a bit. Don't understand the logic in making us wait longer. Just seat us and get to us when you can. About 15 minutes passed and a party of 2 that got there after us went ahead and sat down at the 6 person table we were supposed to be sitting at soon. Well that's pretty unfair. Shortly after that, another 6 person table right next to it opened up, and after it was bussed, it sat there empty for 10 minutes while we waited and hoped that we would be approached by the staff to be seated since we had been standing around waiting for 90 minutes. Next thing we know, a group of people that got there about 20 minutes after us were seated at the table. We decided to give up, and while figuring out where to go get some actual service (Monk's BBQ in Purcellville is awesome btw) the server had the audacity to finally come over and say she could seat us now if we were ok being split up. No apology or acknowledgement that they had dropped the ball not once, but twice. No thanks, we'll take our money somewhere deserving. Blooming Hill, we understand you don't do these tea events very often, but you have some customer service issues to work out before the next one. What an utter and complete waste of our time. We won't be returning in the future for so much as a sprig of lavender.

This farm makes me feel so peaceful. I love visiting. The lavender flowers are beautiful and the ice cream…. You must try!. The sweet corgi. You must play with!!

the lavender isn’t in bloom yet (they said it should be by late june) but the farm is still wonderful to visit. the tea and pastries were amazing.

We completely enjoyed our tea and scones at this lovely property! The family is so warm and friendly. The tea, cider and scones were delicious and so was the ice cream with the merengue on top. I definitely want to do this again!

Lovely and charming place. Such a delightful surprise. A great place to walk around, enjoy the views, flowers and little shop. They also have amazing lavender ice cream...must try the honey lemon lavender, it was absolutely delicious.

Beautiful and very responsible social distancing

I live in Arlington and Blooming Hill is well worth the drive out to Loudoun County. It's so nice to walk through the lavender farm and around the beautifully landscaped property. The shop has so many great lavender-themed and scented gifts and of course lots of lavender plants! It's also super close to a bunch of Loudoun County wineries too. Always love my visits to Blooming Hill!

Everyone leaves here feeling like friends of the family, I am truly grateful that my fiance and I were able to spend safe, yet quality time there. The only thing better than the property is the family running it. Thank you so much for the love and hospitality.

Their tea is absolutely delicious, and is just one of the many great things that they have to offer. Peter and Cindy - the business owners - are so kind and welcoming to guests. Thank you for the warm welcome and overall wonderful experience for our group tea! The fresh, Lavendar-inspired treats were delicious and plentiful. My favorite part was learning about the language of flowers and learning how to make a ‘Tussie Mussie’ posie. Can’t wait to go back and see all the flowers in bloom.

Really nice experience. Lavender is 15 cents a stalk and they have some pretty varieties. Really enjoyable day trip and everyone was very nice. There is a herd of goats next door you can say hi to as well.

A peaceful and beautiful place where you can stroll through "rooms" of lavender and other lovely plantings while listening to the birds chirp and see the bees collecting pollen and butterflies alight upon the delicate flowers. No noise, just the sounds of nature. A perfect place in the most beautiful part of the world. Kind and hospitable owners are happy to share their expertise with interested visitors. Tea on the veranda is must!
