Super nice people, incredible sushi we order takeout mostly, but the inside has a great atmosphere for a date night to eat in.

One of the best sushi experiences I’ve had. They had such a wide variety and each were done to perfection and came out and the whole platter came out quickly. The lady who served this was an absolute delight, and very patient.

This is my favorite sushi place when we’re in the area! So lucky I discovered this place a few years ago, it never disappoints. The food is amazing, fish is always fresh and tastes great. Takeout order takes no more than 20 minutes even on the busiest days. Sam is nice and friendly too. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves a good and freshly made Japanese food.

I’ve been coming to Blue Fin for years (even when they were located previously on Germantown Pike). After all these years, the food and the service has not changed – it’s wonderful. I had to write a review and really sing Blue Fin’s praises after my most recent visit. For my 40th birthday last week, I wanted my birthday celebration at Blue Fin with my closest friends. There were 7 of us and we were really loud (so sorry)! The chef brought out the sushi and very politely, asked us to bring the volume down. He was super sweet with his approach. The restaurant closed at 8:30 and we were there till 9:30, everyone had left. I really could not thank Blue Fin enough for their patience on a loud Wednesday night. They really went above and beyond. The sushi is dynamite too, best in the area. My go to’s for the last 15 years: Wasabi shumai, Davitch roll and No Name II. Thank you BlueFin, for everything! (PS, we did tip well.. a dollar a yell).. lol

Sushi was delicious and creative. My favorite was a special roll...I think it was called cape may, fresh snow crab topped with raw scallops and roe... amazing!

I love their honey crisp salad. The raw oysters are always super fresh, and the pork dumplings are also to die for. I also had hamachi kama, sashimi fatty tuna then, sushi salmon, and various sushi rolls. They were all very beautifully presented and extraordinary! The wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger were very fresh as well. The service was excellent, and I had a great time!

Treat yourself and go to Bluefin! Bluefin has THE best fish, and for a sashimi restaurant, that's the most relevant fact. We've eaten there dozens of times and it is the same, highest quality each time. Even back in the day when they were in the door next to the biker bar. So it is not a fluke. And they are creative with their presentations across the menu. We always start with the Tuna Sundae and Rock Shrimp Sundae. It's BYOB so bring a bottle to pair. It does get a bit noisy, and depending on your seat, conversation can get loud. But that's not too bad as we always have a great night out, either as a couple, the whole family, or a group of friends. Go there and try it. And you'll be in the know.

The best Hon Maguro in town. No place in the area comes even close to the quality of their Bluefin Tuna.

Excellent quality sushi and high end customer service.

Small yet intimate in the dim lit setting. You can see the chefs and kitchen area and take note on the detail of cleanliness. Service was friendly & prompt. Everything was delicious. I do have to mention the Miso Baked Eggplant (small plates)— wow! Just perfection. Enjoyed the entire experience.

Had severe diarrheas after 3-4 hours leaving the restaurant (ordered oyster and salmon roll). I am a big seafood lover. Been to Japan and coastal cities in the US for amazing seafood and never had problems. Don’t know what to say. The food taste good but I wouldn’t go back again.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in the area

My wife and I went here for dinner and had a great experience. Two things right off the bat - one, you should make a reservation because this place is packed for dinner, and rightfully so. And two, it’s BYOB, so if you’re looking to have a few drinks with dinner bring whatever you’d like. My wife and I didn’t know either of these until we walked in. The staff was very friendly and explained that they were fully booked for the night but they might be able to squeeze us in if we didn’t mind waiting. We were in no rush so we went to grab some beer and came back and waited until two seats opened up at the sushi counter. As we were waiting, we struck up conversation with a few people who were either leaving or waiting to pick up take out, and every single person said “wait it out, trust me it’ll be worth it”. They were right; I’m glad we waited it out, it was indeed well worth it. We ordered the chefs pork dumplings and the tako carpaccio right away, and followed it up with three or four delicious rolls of sushi - each with their own signature taste and texture. The chefs on the other side of the counter offered great recommendations and general conversation without missing a beat on preparing the next dish in front of them. 10/10, fantastic experience. BlueFin will become part of our regularly scheduled rotation.

Hands down the best sushi in the area. Lovely atmosphere inside and it's a BYOB, which is always a plus. They also do amazingly well as takeout.

Spent a date night while visiting Philly/Norristown area at Bluefin. The staff were gracious and friendly, attentive, and great at giving us suggestions on portions. We sat at the counter, which was neat as we were able to watch the sushi masters at their craft, yet also be amused by their banter with the obvious local and repeat customers. The sushi (which we had the mvp roll, red October roll, and the oyster mushroom roll) were some of the best we have had. It was definitely a great experience for those of us who love sushi but do not get to indulge in “great” sushi very often. I would highly recommend!!!

We've been going here since before Covid and it's one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Food is always delicious and staff is very friendly and attentive! Also Love that they give a little complimentary dessert. It's BYOB so if you want an alcoholic drink be sure to bring some yourself and I also suggest making a reservation as they have limited seating and full up very quick!

The best sushi outside of Tokyo! Wonderful atmosphere, and very delightful staff. BYOB. Maybe even see a celebrity dining! But truly the fish and chef are as top class as it gets!

Outstanding Sushi. We sat at the Sushi Bar and were fortunate to have Yong, the owner, take care of us. Delightful interaction, excellent ingredients, and lots of inventive, beautiful and delicious sushi. We'll be back often.

Always a good meal when we get bluefin sushi. The fish is the freshest and all of the rolls are just so well done and thoughtfully curated. We also love substituting salmon for some of the tuna dishes and it’s always perfect. The chef’s special roll with the shishito pepper is also always amazing. Definitely the best sushi in the area.

Bluefin is always an incredible suburban destination for a superb sushi and Japanese experience. I couldn’t recommend it more! They are super accommodating with rolls and made them without rice which was great with a group of people who have diabetic sensitivities and others who are trying to be conscious of their consumption. Everything is amazing. More than the food though, the chefs and the staff are so kind and helpful and I am very grateful for that as it really adds to the overall experience there. The one waiter remembered my family and even complimented me on my chopstick skills. I was very touched! I’ve been back so many times since and each time is better than the next. All sushi restaurants should aspire to be like Bluefin!

Great food. Expensive but a nice place to go.

This is the best sushi in the Philly area and it’s right in a shopping center in the suburbs. You wouldn’t know it once you enter that you’re still in the suburbs. It has a cool metropolitan vibe ambiance. You have to make reservations and if you’re lucky, you may get a seat at the sushi bar. My favorite is the Spicy Tuna Sundae which I have to order every time I am there. You can’t go wrong with any of their dishes and sushi rolls. Everything is so fresh and delectable! It is pricey so we go for special occasions.

Everything is always perfect here. The sushi is the best around and the service is excellent, whether you’re getting takeout or eating in the restaurant. My number one go-to, not to mention BYOB.

This place is expensive, but it's really good for a sushi restaurant in a random PA suburb. I've eaten at Morimoto in downtown Philadelphia and I think Bluefin is better.

Legitimately some of the best sushi I’ve ever had around the entire world! Small little place, can’t stop going back.

A friend took us there, as it's one of his favorite restaurants. All of the food was delicious. The spicy scallop hand rolls were out of this world tasty. We will be visiting again without a doubt.

Our favorite sushi place in the Philly suburbs and might be the best in Philly altogether. Always FRESH fish, with the best salmon (sake) sushi/sashimi I have ever had. Davitch roll is my personal favorite with Alaskan roll as close second. I love avocado as well, and the avocado's are ripe year round... Not sure how that's possible, but great nonetheless Plenty of alternative options if you don't like sushi as well. Nice space, and super attentive staff. 15 Jul 2022 - Still amazing...

Fish is fresh but portions are small. They looked understaffed with one guy waiting on all the tables so service was not great but he was very nice. Overall impression is its a place that wants to be upscale but not quite getting there.

It is our go to sushi restaurant! We have eaten sushi at many many sushi restaurants (including Masaharu Morimoto owned spots) and I gotta say I prefer Bluefin! They are always so nice and accommodating!

Best sushi at best prices anywhere! The service was excellent, lots of good recommendations and ample portions! Our party of 4, 3 of whom were new to Blue Fin, were impressed. We will return!

Oh my goodness. Always an amazing meal. Have eaten here countless times over the years, and every time we are impresses by the freshness of the fish. No doubt it is the best sushi in Philly region - but love some of their cooked dishes as well (the soft shell crabs with mussels are fantastic!). Don’t miss out!!

Yellowtail, O toro and Hon Maguro(Tuna) were very tasty. Maybe they are No.1 quality in PA Other meals and sushi also good Stuaff services are good

Bluefin is still the top sushi restaurant in East Norriton. The food is incredible every time and they follow pandemic protocols.

Great sushi but, sadly, the dining room is closed on weekends. I’ve been going to Kabuti for sushi which is actually better than I thought it’d be. Why a restaurant would decide to close the dining room on weekends but keep it open during the week is a mystery to me.

Best sushi around. Get the omakase. Worth the splurge. And the hamachi kama yaki: tender delicious morsels. Dip it in the sauce: wonderful balance to the richness. Tried the lobster spring rolls. Dipped that in the hamachi sauce too: yummy. Shrimp shumai were tasty. The pork dumplings in broth were not quite right. Dough was oddly textured and filling needed chives or something. Regular sushi and rolls looked bright and fresh too.

Great sushi. High prices. And if you’re not a regular then get ready to get treated and seated like a 2nd class citizen. Maybe on special occasions, but I’ll never consider this place welcoming to anyone without a Porsche and a byo bottle of Krystal.

BEST Sushi 🍣 fish is SO FRESH and FLAVORFUL.....I always leave Satisfied and wanting more. Takeout is just as DELICIOUS....one of MY FAVORITE Places to eat. The staff is kind and accommodating.....

Nice place for lunch, they had a solid selection of Sushi fish, including Red Snapper and Mackeral, which you don't find that often outside of eastern cities.

Really delicious food. I had a lunch special and it was really tasty and all the flavors are strong. My daughter got dumpling soup which was really tasty as well. Service was excellent and we were served fried bananas and cantaloupe at the end which was a really nice touch!!

Not inexpensive but some of the best sushi and sashimi I've had in a long time. The tuna sampler (8 pics for $39) was amazing. Nice ambiance. Really good meal all around.

Bluefin is world-class! My wife and I moved from Philly, which is just now developing its own fancy sushi scene. However, Bluefin (BYOB) may take the cake for overall quality of ingredients, exceptional service, and masterful chefs - especially in such an unassuming location (strip mall next to a Green Turtle and Taco Bell). Chef Yonten is deservedly Instagram famous for his incredible rolls and precision with his incredible fish selection. My only gripe is that it's so darn popular that it is almost impossible to get in without a reservation.

High-end sushi place! The tuna sundae is fairly innovative.

The good quality for the price is truly exceptional. It is BYOB however, so definitely keep that in mind if you'd like a drink with dinner. We brought a six-pack of craft beer with our party, and the waiter was quick to bring out a large bucket of ice for us.

I don't normally leave with blissfully happy taste buds, but I did today. I had been meaning to stop here for four months and finally did. Customer service was amazing. My friend is a water fiend and never did her water glass end up empty.
