The best food! The drinks were amazing ! Patrick was the best!

Had a great experience at boathouse bar and grill. Great food, good drinks and even better service. Patrick the manager was very attentive and helpful. I will definitely be back!

This was my families first time visiting. The curb appeal was , well appealing . We arrived a little before 6 pm on a Saturday and the place was not crowded so we thought why not try out the food . We wanted to sit out back and there were available spaces but all were filled with food and were not cleaned nor set up for the next guests, meaning us…Waiting for a few minutes no one greeted us . I went to the bar asked if it’s okay to sit outside and they were like well it’s not clean , so I asked for at least one set of tables to be cleaned, I know right , I should have left , but my family and I stayed . I ordered the chicken tacos , my family ordered fish and chips and a pulled pork sandwich of some sort . We also ordered the tuna bites and chicken wings . After about 20 minutes or so the apps are out , one minute later the main courses. I barely could swallow a wing , our main courses were getting cold at our table while we scarfed down the apps . Talk about poor food timing on behalf of the kitchen staff. The kicker , the cheese on my tacos were spoiled and the chips they came with over fried . notified the waiter , he apologized and we were still charged . Being the patrons that we are , we still tipped 20% . Definitely not in a rush to go back…. Wait , I actually wanted the prime rib , because it was prime rib Saturday and was told it would be a very long wait … had to rush home so my in law and I could make it to the toilet …

Boat house is the new spot. My friends and I are obsessed with this place. We all just graduated college and this is the place to be post grad to continue the party.

Food was awesome. Definitely recommend the steak bites. Cooked perfectly as requested (medium rare) and the fries, THE FRIES are exactly how a fry should be. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Definitely would recommend. Came on a Sunday so it was quiet but I love the outside section with the cafe lights. Bring your family, bring your cousins, bring your friends. It’s a good time.

They have live bands that play the classics. It's a fun bar with cool bartenders. Just be prepared to blow an eardrum. Very loud, difficult to socialize unless you are outside.

Food and service were good, well priced specials on drinks and drinks wings, too. Being from Buffalo, we are wing snobs. They were decent but nothing like home! Service was fine, though we did get a bit forgotten at the end and had to ask for one check. It was a very hot day and the lack of AC was tough. We’d try again though.

If you're looking for a decent meal and the jersey shore bar experience. This is the must stop place along the way.

Very nice experience and dinner. Chicken wings were excellent and onion rings were nice and crispy. Staff was kind and attentive and frequently checking on us. A little expensive but worth the food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I came in with two other people sat at the bar for dinner. We were told we needed to put a card to open a tab for our dinner. I specifically told the bartender I did not want it put on my card and that we would be paying cash. One of my guests paid for dinner and they still charged my card and I am now waiting for days to get my money back and have not heard anything. The bartender was horrible. I don’t know why he thought he would be getting $100 tip I will never go there again. I wonder how many other people he has done this too. Edit: After posting this review, my bank card was charged an additional amount. DO NOT give this business your credit card!!!!!!

The food is good and the staff are friendly.

I love the Boathouse, I just wish that I could bring my children here, we stayed veiled and we were held back and could not go forward. Excellent food here I highly recommend it.

My first time there with a large group. Some said their meals were excellent unfortunately my burger was overcooked. But it was the only time I was there so I’d give it another try.

Have been going here for many years. Bartenders are nice and not a long wait for refills. Am still disappointed that they open at 4 during the week. Lunches back in the day were great. Opens early on weekends so I stopped in after fishing. Fair crowd and food available. Had the prime rib sandwich. Not what I expected, shaved meat on a roll with an aujuis for dipping. Basically a French dip. Was good but not what I was looking for. Helene was a great bartender as always. That's all for now

I did a call in order and it was definitely not what I ordered, although my partner enjoyed his food the order wasn’t correct. The order comes with sides which we did not receive. If I go again I will check before I accept

The price is affordable. However, their food quality is terrible.

We stopped going after covid, but for personal reasons. Its still a great local establishment.

do not come here. the food was disgusting and undercooked. the ground beef tacos are cold burgers that they chopped up to make ground beef. i got a caesar salad with steak and the meat looked grey and the lettuce was saturated and soggy. on top of that they messed up our drink orders and had no ice. oh and the blonde server was completely unprofessional and had no interest in helping us. she dropped the check on our table after we paid and said “here!” disgustingly rude our experience was. i’ve never had worst service than coming to this place honestly. i wish i could give 0 stars. i’ll let you all know how long i sit in the hospital due to food poisoning

This was an awesome place to eat, if anyone tries it, I would definitely recommend the Mac and cheese with bread crumbs and pulled pork, absolutely delectable.

Looking for decent dinner after a beach day and we decided to give this place a try before the drive home. Food and service was great. Chicken Parm tasted very good as well as marinara sauce with pasta. This chicken Parm definitely in my top 2 or 3 I've ever tasted. Had potato skins for app and other dinner was sliced steak with fries which was great too. Definitely will visit again when in area. Thx Boathouse.

Got robbed of the pool table... twice...

Sad to say, we stopped here after another restaurant appeared to be closed. It looked like a fun vibe on the outside, so we went in on a lark. My girlfriend asked for an unsweetened ice tea, and was told "our waitress called out, so no one had time to make it." My instinct was to leave, and I wish I had followed through on that impulse. As we waited for our food, we started noticing things, such as food by the next table on the floor, that remained there our entire stay. The only saving grace was that their food wasn't half bad. The inside vibe was semi controlled chaos. The bathrooms, and general cleanliness were a 0-star affair. I'll give this place 2, because the food was edible, and our waiter/bus boy/cook was clearly doing triple duty under impossible conditions. No excuse for the grime though. None. This place is ripe for one of those restaurant makeover reality shows. Keep the old school local vibe, wipe off the grit, and get a new flow between bar and restaurant, and this place could thrive. It is never a pleasant thing to serve up a bad review. Generally speaking, I don't say anything if I don't have something positive to say. It takes a lot to get me to go negative. As outings go, I'll probably remember this one for all the wrong reasons, and can hopefully laugh about it down the road. There's a big difference between loveable local dive, and just plain gross. It's not too late to fix this.

The food was good. Nice outside area to sit too if ya want off the bar. Even a mock beach area type outside sitting area with colorfully painted Adirondack chairs. A laundry mat nxt to it incase you get soacked walking from beach to the Boathouse if ya dont want to get your new cars interior wet n water stained ? lol It was fun. We sat outside on the patio with a umbrella up n laughed our butts off at our predicament.

Found this place while on vacation and was not disappointed. The food, atmosphere and service was exceptional. Will definitely be back when I come to Belmar next year for vacation.

This place has decent food and good drinks. It's your typical bar and grill, but it's a good bar with live music on the weekends.

It was just OK. Wings are awesome, nachos and the burrito I had nothing to write about.

We just left we sat at the back bar with Michael and Harrison and they were both fabulous

Legendary Belmar drinking spot. With typical bar food . Drinks are reasonable priced . If you want the experience genuine Belmar this is a must go. Great spot to have one to many . Remember to over tip the waitstaff .

Had an awesome time with a friend. The food was great and the live music Sean Patrick was playing. I so recommend this establishment. Keeping social distance and mask until you get to your table. People followed the protocols.

Even during the pandemic, Boathouse is still one of my favorite spots. Food is always good and staff make you feel comfortable given the current environment. Also, wings are A+

The Boathouse isn’t the most elegant spot in town but it can be the most fun. When out in Belmar, you will rarely choose to start your night here...but somehow it’s inevitably where you always end up. That said it’s got everything you’d expect from a solid bar and grill. Good drinks, great specials, and often a DJ to keep the good times going.

Server was attentive, wings were awesome! We ate all of them before I thought to take a picture. Onion rings were also very good. The potato skins were a very generous portion, but I was disappointed with the “cheese” factor! They weren’t cheesy, gooey goodness I saw in another post. They were also out of their grilled pretzels. But it’s the day after Christmas so I’m forgiving that. Great place for a drink & some good bar food!

Solid bar food and a good beer selection. The burgers and wings are my favorites but there's lots of options here. This is a great local spot to grab a bite, watch a game and have a drink. The staff is always friendly and when I've sat at the bar I've always ended up having a friendly conversation with whoever else is there. Haven't had a bad meal here in over a dozen visits. Family friendly during the day and early evening. Summer weekend evenings can get crazy but that's a whole different scene. Highly recommended for lunch, dinner or game day

This was only part of the meal we ordered, every thing is always amazing here. The street corn was out of this world, as well as the vegetable panini. Have been going here for 5 years and the taste never fails to impress me.

Really good food. Had blackened tuna bites appetizer and NY strip steak. Big portions and fast service. Good prices too. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We ate there early. Might get crowded later, but they have a large staff. Good bar and sports watching. Would recommend.

Food was actually pretty good, came to us quick and hot, prices were very reasonable as well. Atmosphere was slightly gloomy and quiet for a bar and grille, but I'm sure the time of day I was there is why it was like that. Check this out if you're in the area!
