Had a great sandwich for lunch. The bartender was the best. We will be back.

My husband & I went to Ponce De Leon Springs last week . On our way back to Pensacola. We found this AMAZING Restaurant ! The Food , Prices , Atmosphere, & Our Server Larry was AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!! We haven't found a place like this in a long time ! We will definitely make a trip back soon 😀 You All ROCK!

We enjoyed the ambiance, the live music and the waitress very much! The entrées were good, not great. We love a good salad with our meal, and the salads were dry, wilted, and sparse. The tomatoes and cucumbers were literally dry looking. The lettuce was just the hearts of the leaf, and sprinkled with some shredded carrots. How they ever left the kitchen like that, we have no idea... May be a small thing to some, but at the price of these meals, we expected better.

Food super delicious. Wait staff Courtney impeccable and personable. Thanks to Michelle and her husband for a meal that perfectly complimented us at our family reunion in the party room. I highly recommend this place.

A hidden gem! If ur ANYWHERE near Defuniak Springs, Bogies is a MUST stop & visit. The food is incredible (steaks, shrimp, pork chop)! The service extraordinary ... the atmosphere well worth experiencing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

From starters to desert was awesome. The grouper was great. The cheesecake was a perfect treat at the end. Ashley gave great service and guidance on selections from the menu. We will be back!

The service is wonderful! The food is pretty good too. I love the Crab Cakes and Pickle Fries. The Chicken Sandwich that I got is nice and super filling!

We really enjoy visiting Bogeys from time to time. We love the fried green tomatoes. Some of our favorite in the area. Sometimes will just order a couple servings and make a meal of it. The ranch dressing is also homemade and really good. Great to dip fries, their delish complimentary bread, and fried green tomatoes in. The drinks are stiff and priced right. Love sitting on the back deck overlooking the lake nipping on a cocktail. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The only thing we don’t particularly enjoy is the frozen vegetable medley served with some of the main course dishes.

I ate the patty melt, california chicken and the blackened chicken caesar. The patty melt was the besttttttt. The sour dough bread was eliteeeee.

I have eaten several times over years but today the waitress taking my call in order was rude and very disrespectful. I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone again. I didn’t place the order, I went to Ed’s Restaurant and in the future will take my business elsewhere. HORRIBLE SERVICE

I went there in the early afternoon, so there was no balcony seating available. However, the inside was very nice. It's clean, neat, spacious, and comfortable. The service was good, could have paid more attention to drinks. I wasn't completely impressed with the food, though. I ordered a French dip and some leak soup. The sandwich was good, although a little sloppy for my taste, but the dip still had big chunks of fat floating in it. The soup had great flavor, but some of the potatoes were crunchy.

Atmosphere was inviting and friendly as always! Waitresses were courteous and attentive! As always, good was fresh and delicious!

Great place to eat if your in the area, the service and hospitality are spot on, and the live music is great.

Had fish and sweet potato fries it was good. My husband had chicken and dumplings he said it was good.

I am a local and visit Bogey's on a regular basis. My favorite is the Yellow Fin tuna! It's prepared perfectly! Great place 👌

Great atmosphere and great food!

Great dinner! We enjoyed the Shrimp & Grits and Grouper. We sat on the 2nd floor deck outside - beautiful evening! We were on a scuba diving trip to a local spring. Worth the drive to DeFuniak Springs for dinner!

This place is fantastic. We were on vacation in defuniak, and we wanted to eat here for our anniversary. The food was fantastic. Then we went next week to have drinks and appetizers. Everything was great. Everyone there is very nice and they were waited on you hand and foot. We love it there. We will be back next year.

Bogeys is probably the best restaurant I eat at. I travel for work and spend 3 months here in Defuniak. Consistently hits the mark. The food is amazing-the pork chop is phenomenal-the staff is very attentive. The place is awesome. Downstairs for formal dining with a side bar and upstairs is a bar with some dining as well. You will not be disappointed eating here. All the food is well prepared, consistent, tastes great and is overall a 5 star experience. Eat here-you will love it.

Impeccable service from the moment we walked through the door, great atmosphere, and fantastic food. We forgot to take photos of our entrées but did get one of dessert. We will definitely be back if we ever travel through Defuniak Springs again.

Ordered takeout from Bogey's. The crab cakes were delicious and had large lumps of crab meat in them with a tasty remoulade sauce. The chicken and dumplings were very flavorful and came with practically a loaf of warm bread! The creme brulee cheesecake was yummy. It was more of a caramel cheesecake than creme brulee because it had a caramel sauce without any crunchy sugar anywhere. They took great care in packing our food up, making sure nothing spilled and everything stayed the right temperature.

What a charming restaurant. Staff very attentative. As non locals we were treated like family. The fish in all their dishes are fresh grouper. I had grouper almandine and my husband had Lorenzo. We loved our meals. It was cold so no drinks on the upper deck. Would highly recommend if you are in the Defuniak Springs area.

Ate here awhile back. I ordered the fish almondine I believe. I asked the waiter to bring a glass of white wine 5-10 minutes prior to the order arriving. He brought it out 15 minutes after the order arrived and I was almost done eating my entree. I refused the wine as I wanted it to complement the entree. He seemed upset, but oh well. The female mgr didn't seem to care as she never visited any of the tables while I was there and was too busy talking with the waitstaff. I've been a restaurant mgr for over 8+ years and have been a mgr at finer restaurants than this and I must say the management here sucks!!! Might go back as I here their burgers are good but otherwise...no thanks and it is basically the nicest restaurant in town. What a shame

Unique place to share a experience

The servers are nice. The atmosphere is cute. The food is really hit or miss.. The prices are priced for an upscale place, but the cuisine is not upscale. The blue cheese dressing is really good.

Nice quiet restaurant with interesting decor. The burger was superb. The locals I know told me this place had the best burgers in town. So far, I agree.

This was recommended by the hotel we were staying at and it was a real gem! Everyone was so kind and the atmosphere with all the signed pictures, Bogey and MarilynMo row memorabilia was wonderful. The Chicken Marsala was tender and the shepherd’s pie was delicious and huge! Definitely will go there again next time I am in the area.

The place is decorated with memorabilia, so there's lots to look at. Nice fine dining. Gave food a 4 because options were limited to my tastes. Philly cheesesteak was amazing.

Everything on the menu is delicious, but the prime rib on Wed is my favorite. The service at the bar is great and Allex always makes a great drink!

We got here a little early, so we sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited on the rest of our family, that was the best part of the night. We went for prime rib night and as soon as we went to order we were told that they didn't have enough for us that the week before they had run out at 545, so only two people in our party of seven got what they wanted. We asked multiple times for the server to bring some bread, we finally got another server to bring at the end of the meal. We ordered Ribeye steaks since we couldn't get the primerib and they were awful, no taste whatsoever, the baked potatoes were so hard you couldn't cut them with a knife. We could never get the waiters attention and kept running out of drinks. The atmosphere was good though, you will not have to worry about us returning here.

My wife and I, with another couple, drove to Defuniak Springs from Panama City on Friday, Dec 15. We had reservations for Bogey's, then planned to visit the city Christmas light display. Our dinner was fantastic. The food was outstanding and the server (Michelle) was absolutely superior, both in product knowledge and with entertaining / humorous personality. Likewise, everyone on the staff there was great and they all have terrific customer service skills. We all very much enjoyed our meals, as always. But I cannot overstate how delicious the Chicken Contintal is. I'm 68 yrs old, and this is the very best chicken product I've ever eaten. I had it there a couple years ago and felt the same way!! Thank you for kicking off a great evening for us!

The food has no flavor, the waitress didn't even greet us at first or bring cutlery or napkins, the salad was giant that was inedible, I couldn't even eat anything, but thanks

We were here for our company Christmas party on Friday the 1st it was very nice we had our own room upstairs and my steak was awesome and the beer tasted really good

A really fun place, with full bar and patio if that's your thing. The upper deck overlooks the lake. The atmosphere is really fun, and the servers were fantastic. I went outside my usual in food selection, so this may be more my fault than the restaurant's, but I was hoping for more flavor. I ordered the French onion soup, which was a little bland for me. I also ordered the fish sandwich. I loved their homemade tarter, and the fries were also delicious. The fish itself fell a little flat for me. My husband had a pineapple upside down martini which he really liked (and he is not a huge martini fan). He ordered the Philly cheesesteak, which he thought was very tasty, and he also enjoyed his fries. We did also order dessert. Hubby had the creme brulee cheesecake, which he really enjoyed. I was interested in the 2-layer peanut butter cup chocolate cake. The server definitely thought this was a sharable, and advised it is really rich. We'll try it out next time. I went with Bogey's fudge bomb which was delicious. The menu is large, and it looks like they have daily specials. We'll definitely give it another go (or two).

Dinner here on a night traveling thru. Absolutely great find. Food was excellent, service great and atmosphere amazing. A little pricey, but so well worth the experience, the friendly, welcoming staff and owner. As a history buff I was taken in by the decor ( apparently a tribute to the owners mother who was a fan of the early screen celebrities). Natalie our server was so sweet and accommodating. Would definitely go there again.

Had a nice 40th birthday dinner with family. They allowed us to bring in a cake, had the table prepared with water and menus, etc, for when guests arrived. The staff was very kind and provided cutting utensils without being asked and sang along to the "we have to do it" Happy Birthday song. Food was good as always, we visit a few times a year. My family favorites are the Fried Green Tomatoes, French Dip Sandwich, French Onion Soup, Fish Badsket ( I'm not a fan of fish but it looks amazing) and of course Prime Rib nights.

10 STARS!! Amazing place! The owner Michelle greeted us and seated us. The food cooked by her chef husband was out of this world! We both had grouper prepared broiled and panko fried. BOTH AMAZING and recommend!!! Fresh hot bread, & beautiful tasty salads before the meal and great servers everywhere you look checking in on customers. Everyone friendly. We will come back for sure!!! We live in Indiana but when we come back thru we will for certain be stopping again!

I had the special Lamb Chops and they were awesome . Hubby had the ribeye . Also delicious. The only thing we could recommend with the service and the atmosphere is the servers weee not dressed in t shirts . Maybe a white collar shirt ???

Very nice restaurant. Food was excellent, the music was great and you can't beat the service. If you've never been there you need to make it a point to go. Prices are good.

Likely best food in (this one horse) town, however, we waited an hour for our $55 meal. And they didn't even bother apologizing or explaining the slow service.

Served tilapia and told it was grouper. Flavors obscured with horrible sauces. Stay away from any seafood on this menu. Crab cakes were butter and bread. Terrible. They need a real chef in this place. Never gonna go back for a second chance. Returned a dish and no manager visited us.

Lots of young people working the place. Service was a little slow and only did what was asked rather than act on obvious visual clues. Food was good, but did not have baked potatoes and had an upcharge for other items. It's got a great atmosphere. Very elegant but a little pricey.

My husband and I are in Defuniak looking at real estate from Pine Island Florida and stopped in for dinner. OMG was the food amazing, I had stuffed shrimp and my husband had grouper. It was delicious. Also our server Ashton was knowledgeable and very attentive. If we do move here, this is definitely a place we will come back to.

We made an overnight stop in DeFuniak on a road trip and looked for something unique and excellent in town, without having to drive toward the beach. Bogey’s fit the bill! I was able to get a delicious gluten-free California fish dish (grouper) with a perfect baked potato. My 16 year son and his buddy got the Almondine and California. My Treat was a “Bogeytini” and it’s well worth trying. Service was friendly, attentive and charming. I would love to go back and try more.

We love Bogey’s! We eat here more nights a week than I care to mention. Tonight, this blackened blue ribeye with 3 crab-stuffed shrimp is to die for!

A bustling, popular restaurant in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Bogey's Bar & Restaurant is one of those shining examples of all around excellence in restaurant dining. Reservations are recommended, but despite a full restaurant on a busy Saturday evening, our hostess found us a table within three minutes of arriving, despite our lack of a reservation. Allex, our server was friendly, professional and attentive, as were other servers who constantly refilled our drinks as needed. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere perfect for a nice night out on the town. Prices were reasonable and everyone was delightful. This was my first visit to Bogey's. We had a party of eight on a Friday night. Called ahead and was a few minutes late but they were able to accommodate us with no issue. This is a great spot to have a meal and hang out. Food was terrific for everyone and the service was fantastic. Just the fact that they tolerated our crew was a testament to their professionalism. We will most certainly be back.

Was in town visiting my aunt and we came here for dinner. Across the board awesome, even the bread was irresistible. All three of us cleaned our plates with no shame. I had grouper topped with crab (Lorenzo) and it was delicious!

I wanted to thank you for the best meal I have eaten since I was diagnosed with celiac a year ago. I was so thrilled that you had a gluten free menu that actually had amazing choices! I had the California pan seared fish with avocado, bearnaise sauce, and lemon cream sauce with steamed veggies. It was incredible! The atmosphere is wonderful! We enjoyed the live music and I loved the historical elegance! We will be sure to come again next time we visit family in Florida. If you have not eaten at Bogeys, you need to experience it! Highly recommend!

Extremely disrespectful atmosphere, unfriendly management. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone ever, but just around the corner is a very friendly respectful place with great food.

The worst Customer service & management

Couldn't tell you how this place was except rude owner. When you have a group that is going to probably spend $500 plus in your establishment you must be rich and doing this in your spare time to treat them the way you did.

I just ❤ our home town! Ms Michelle has some great talent playing live music #ChristonBirge & #KatieSpillman!!! The food was really awesome!!! I most say, its nice when ya don't have to travel far for such great service...from the time you walk in to when ya leave...staff are awesome!!!

We were on a spur of the moment trip from Andalusia and needed lunch. We decided to stop in and were pleasantly surprised. The staff, food and atmosphere were A1. We will definitely stop again.

Think back to your favorite neighbors when you were a kid. Your best friend is their son or daughter. Growing up and hanging out at their house you always felt like one of their kids. Welcome to Bogey’s. It’s not a local restaurant, it’s not a tourist restaurant, it just feels like a second home. The couple that owns the joint are the parents you wish you had, only cooler. Their house is a cinema lovers dream. They have seen the coolest movies, and have been to some very cool places, and it’s written all over their walls. After I spent 30 minutes touring their house, while sipping brown liquid, I sat down for dinner. Now I really want to live there. I ate the leftovers three days later, and their food was still as amazing as when it was delivered to my table.

We arrived late afternoon in DeFuniak Springs for a one night stay as we head home to Clearwater area. We had checked TripAdvisor for restaurants and our hotel gave a list of recommended eateries in the area. Bogey’s was number one on both. Thankfully, we arrived by 7:30PM (they close at 8:00PM). This is a very nice upscale restaurant. The Bogey Theme is for Humphrey Bogart so it has numerous photos of him and movie stars. It is very tastefully done. We were impressed with the decor, the staff and the food. The Shepherds pie was tasty. I was thoroughly thrilled with the Montgomery Bay Salad fresh greens, pinko crusted fish strips with sliced cucumber and tomatoes in a great sauce. A very nice dinner in this charming quaint town.

Been here for a burger on the deck before and it was a great experience. Came for dinner with the family the other night and it was awful. Incredibly long wait for food, the steak I ordered medium-rare was burnt to a crisp, my MIL's porkchop was burnt and dry as can be. Waiter never came by to ask how the food was or refresh drinks, just to bring the tab. Pretty disappointed.

Was excited for prime rib night. Made reservations as they said to do also had to tell on phone what size we wanted and how we wanted it cooked. Got there had to do all that over again! Salad was white iceberg lettuce one slice cucumber. Had to remind young man I ordered a drink. Took a while to get food. Prime rib was very fatty. Potatoes were cold. Waiter was not very good. Nice building though but won’t be back.

A nice restaurant with some good dishes! I have thoroughly enjoyed their fish sandwich, it's large and crispy. Sadly the fried green tomatoes were not that good, thin greasy breading that fell off quickly. The sandwich was so good I forgot to take a picture! LOL

The grouper special was topped with sliced tomatoes and asparagus along with a white wine butter sauce with choice of side and salad. The salad was the only negative as the lettuce seemed a little tired. The crab cakes were amazing too. If in the area definitely worth a stop to see the vintage actors and actresses from the early motion picture scene.

Stopped through on a road trip from Naples to Denver. Requested seating on the balcony patio. Each person who answered our questions was friendly and helpful. Courtney the bartender was also our server. She was super welcoming. The pre-sunset atmosphere on the balcony was perfect and the food and drinks arrived in comfortable time. My husband ordered a ribeye, and I ordered a blackened fish sandwich - grouper being the fish of the day. The food did not disappoint the standard that had already been set. Thanks, Courtney, for your info on the town and the lake; we had a wonderful stroll after dinner. We would definitely stop back in should we be in the area again.
